(btw way this is also my first fic wish me luck :D"
"Come on cheese can we go any faster!" I yelled as an attack helicopter was chasing us.
"We cant go any faster were going as fast as we can!" Cheese yelled while steering to avoid the Zulu missiles "Try to use the gun to shoot it down, viewing!" He said while panicking.
"Alright!" I moved up and grabbed the 50 Cal machinegun mounted on the jeep and tried shooting down the heli with it "I'm not doing much!" I Yelled over the sound of the machinegun and the booms of exploding rockets "SHIT INCOMING!" I yelled seeing rockets heading towards us Master cheese was to slow in avoiding the rockets "BAIL OUT!" I yelled as me and cheese both were able to jump out in time and the jeep went up in a *BOOM* and then as me and cheese were about to hit the ground there was a *POP* and a white flash then nothing.
{Twilights POV}
Twilight felt something weird while reading her book about pony myths see felt a disturbance in the in the magical field around the immediate area around ponyville but she cant pinpoint where it came from. Then all of a sudden spike came in and yelled "Twilight I have a letter from princess celestial!" Twilight immediately took the letter with her magic and read aloud.
" Dear, Twilight sparkle as you may of felt there was a disturbance in the magic field around your area I recommend that you gather up your friends and try to find where that disturbance came from I will send two royal guards to help you find it I wish you luck" Twilight immediately thought why would we need royal guards? she dismissed this thought and told spike " Spike I need you to gather the girls and tell them to meet me at the library, ok spike?"
"ok ,Twilight" spike immediately replied then ran off to gather the girls.
"ugh," I groaned opening my eyes I see nothing like where we were before "where are we?' I muttered. I got up and started to look for my gun I found it lying in the dirt next to the busted jeep I picked up my gun its a RPK-12 with a Acog scope I looked around foe master cheese then I found him lying in a patch of dirt on the other side of the jeep "Cheese wake up" I shook him.
" huh what," cheese said in confusion "were alive also where are we?" Cheese asked.
" I don't know how were still alive and not hurt but we seem to be in some kind of forest," I told cheese "Get up and find your gun we will need it just in case." Cheese got up and looked for his gun he found it in the busted jeep. Surprisingly un damaged his gun was a M4A4 with a red dot sight and a grenade launcher. "How was your gun not damaged?" I asked him.
" I don't know but its a good thing at least I wont have to use my m9bretta." He told me. "did you check your ammo?" cheese asked.
" oh I forgot to" I checked to see if had any ammo in my gun but it was empty "mines empty what about yours?"
"I have only 6 bullets in my gun and 0 mags."
" Its a good thing I always have an ammo bag on me" I told him while I placed it down " what are you waiting for get your ammo." I said while restocking on ammo and grenades. As we restocked I heard a *Growl* behind me I looked an saw 4 pairs of yellow eyes "Cheese what are those things?" I asked while raising my RPK-12.
" I don't know man" as he said that they came out of the bush 4 wolves they charged at us "Shit!" He yelled and began to open fire *BANG BANG BANG* *RATATATTAT* The first bullets hit the one to the right and the left as we sprayed our rounds at them the bullets tore both of them apart they lost a leg or two and their bodies were filled with holes with tree sap coming out. The other 2 suffered the same fate me and cheese both reloaded our guns on close expectation we were shocked on how they were alive.
" How, how can a being made of sticks, twigs ,and tree sap be alive?"
" I don't know probly something in the sap."
"I don't think were on earth anymore an animal like this was never reported and how can it exist?"
" As I said I don't know I don't think were in Kansas anymore. " He snickered
" Good thing you still have your sense of humor" I groaned " man if we are not on earth then how can we contact base and tell them were ok?" As I told him cheese looked at my arm.
" Wait I just realized something I forgot you out rank me" Cheese put his hand on his head and *sighed*
"That does not matter were not on the battle field or at base so forget ranks for now unless we get into an military conflict corporal" I snickered
" Hahaha very funny sir," he told me with a hint of sarcasm in his voice. " Well come on we need to get stuff out of the jeep come on!" As we got to the jeep we looked for any thing that can help us out "Hey wait don't you have a lighter viewing?"
"Yeah I do why," Then I mouthed a O " Yeah we need to start a fire soon." I said while he nodded in agreement. As we looked I found a 50 Cal. sniper rifle in the back "Holy," I said in shock "dude I found a 50 Cal. sniper rifle in the back!" I immediately slung it over my back
"You are very lucky I only found a few grenades for my grenade launcher," He sighed " at least its some thing."
A few hours later... we were siting on the ground with only the fire to illuminate us we both had our guns in our laps just in case if more of these Timberwolves as cheese dubbed them came to attack us unknown to us more were coming and fast. "Hey ,cheese you think more of those Timberwolves will try to kill us again?"
"Maybe but I don't know we need to stay alert," Me and cheese heard rustling in the bushes me an him both stood up and readied our guns "Well here they come!" He took aim and I did to then 10 timber wolves ran at us 1 was slightly bigger and was in the center I thought before opening fire was it must be their alpha because every wolves pack has a alpha well Timberwolf packs should have one any way Then all hell broke loose we both open fire we also tore through this group of Timberwolves like the last one with sap and twigs flying allover the place *BANG BANG BANG* *RATATATATATAT* A hail of bullets greeted them and made the situation very bloody (sappy?) situation. But one wolf not surprisingly the alpha got through the bullets and pounced on me a tore a gash into my arm I Yelled in pain as blood pored out of my wound I grabbed my knife while it as trying to bite me but I healed it away with my hand I stabbed the alpha timber wolf in the neck over and over to make sure it dies I tossed the dead timber wolf off me and I held on to my wound and grabbed my pistol and shot it in the head *BANG* to make sure its dead I looked up and saw that they were all taken care of and then cheese asked me "Dude you ok?"
" I'm fine it will heal on its own nothing major compared to gunshot wounds." As I finished that sentence I looked at my wound and it started to heal up already
"good someone might of heard those gunshots we should stay alert and prepared." I nodded and told him
"What about the timber wolf bodies?" I asked
" Meh, put them in the fire I guess "He told me while putting a body in the fire I said an ok and we dumped a few bodies in the fire the fire encompassed the bodies and it burned brighter "Hey viewing what time is it?" cheese asked. I looked at my watch
" Its 8:32 PM."I shrugged looking at my watch.
" We should rest so we can be ready for anything in the morning" he said I nodded I was sleepy "alright lets get some rest after this long day." Cheese said while closing his eyes. I let out a *sigh* I closed my eyes and drifted to sleep. But unknown to them something was watching. End of chapter 1
when Twilight's friends gathered they asked all at once "What's going on?"
"A letter from the princess told me to gather you all and have you all help me find the source of a magic disturbance some where in our area as you ,Rarity might of felt ." She finished then Rarity spoke " yes in deed now that I think about it I felt something weird earlier before but I thought it was one of your spells ,Twilight."
"Well princess also told me there will be 2 royal guards coming with-"
"OOOOO TWO NEW PONIES TO HAVE PARTYS THIS IS GREAT" Pinkie yelled out enthusiastically
"Pinkie you can have your party later this is important" she caught a glimpse of rainbow about to say something then she just told RD "don't think about it, any way they should be arriving shortly." As she finished here sentence a knock on the door startled her and Fluttershy who let out an *eep* Twilight opened the door wit her magic a two royal guards were behind it one spoke up
"Your Twilight correct?" He asked "That's right and these are my friends and you?" She responded "I'm corporal Steel wing" the Pegasus stated "this is private first class Thunder Hooves" He told them "we were sent by the princess her self to help your in your search." He blankly stated Twilight nodded and so did the rest of the Maine six.
"I believe that we should look around the everfree-" before she could continue the rest of the elements of harmony *Gasped* except for Rainbow Dash and Twilight.
"I will get my coat and my mane dirty!" Rarity gasped
"its nothing to worry about we will be searching in front of the everfree not in it so there is no danger from wild animals." Twilight stated with an annoyed look. As the elements calmed down Twilight got a map and showed the area where they will be searching " We will stick together and search the area if you hear or see anything strange tell everyone ok." the rest agreed to the plan.
In a hours going down the road to the area where they would be searching as they got there they saw strange but faint light coming out from the forest "what's that?" Applejack asked the others were wondering to
"That light is coming from the everfree," Twilight stated "should we investigate where the source?"
"I don't know Twi," Applejack said "the everfree is dangerous at night just imagine how dangerous it could be at night." she shuddered remembering what happened when they first met
"what you afraid of a forest I know I am not!" Rainbow Dash stated smugly with a smile Applejack with a angry look said "I'm not scared im just worried about the others!" She yelled then they both started to yell at each other until twilight interrupted them.
"Girls stop this is not the time to argue!" She told the both of them we are going in and that's final this may be where the disturbance happened or not but im finding out what that is !" She told the both of them both rainbow and applejack let out a *humph* then looked away from each other.
...as they got nearer to the source of light the sun started to set leavening only the unknown light source as their light in this dark forest fluttershy began to quiver as they got close to the light source and felt something bad was about to happen got into everyponys gut even the guards got a bit worried then Twi said "Look there's a clearing here lets check it out." as they got closer they could hear voices.
"Hey, cheese you think more of those Timberwolves will try to kill us again?" Twilight was confused as well as rest she was thinking what kind of name is cheese and why would Timberwolves be after them? She and the rest looked into the clearing and were shocked at what they saw 2 weird beings in strange clothes with weird sticks in their laps and that they also knew how to speak and understand equestrian.
"Maybe but I don't know we should stay alert." it told the other one then there was a rustling sound from the bushes to the left they both stood up and pointed their sticks at the noise and one yelled while aiming "Well here they come!" Then 10 Timberwolves burst out of the bushes and charged at them Twilight and the other thought they did not have a chance but they were wrong. Loud *BANGS* and flame came from their sticks they had in their claws causing every pony to hold their hooves over their ears to not become death in their ears.
The timber wolves were all caught in the fire except for one the alpha as Twi recognized by how big it was compared to the others. The alpha pounced on one gashing its arm and causing bleeding every pony cringed at the sight of blood fluttershy was the most effected as she wanted to jump to help the creature but the others held hew down from going to help because what if they her as a threat and kill her this thought plagued twilights and the rests mind then they saw the creature under the wolf griped as was recognized as a knife by the rest and saw it continually stab the alpha wolf in the neck fluttershy was crying watching things die and get injured with out being able to help.
The creature lifted the wolf off him and stood up and grabbed his wound then grabbed a smaller stick shaped like an 'L' aimed it at its head and then one last loud *BANG* echoed through the forest as the creature shot the dead wolf in the head with an unknown object then they head a voice say "Dude you ok?" It asked worryingly
" Im fine it will heal up on its own nothing major," Twilight thought Nothing major! he has a gash up his arm,He's bleeding, and how will it heal up on its own!? "compared to gunshot wounds."
"Y'all think we should head back and warn the princesses about this and help, fluttershy." Applejack whispered as they ducked back under the bush.
"I agree with, Applejack we need to warn the princesses about this and help, Fluttershy with what she just witnessed." Rarity agreed in a whisper the rest agreed with nods.
"Alright lets get back to drop, Fluttershy at her home then head to ponyville to warn the princesses," She looked at fluttershy and saw that she had fainted "so who will carry, Shy back?" Applejack volunteered to carry her on her back. Twilight used her magic to float Shy on to Applejacks back.
They began to head back they dropped fluttershy at her house and putting here in the bed while corporal Steel Hooves volunteered to stay and watch over fluttershy the rest with no protest agreed to him staying and protecting her from any threats the rest of the elements went home as well Applejack to the farm, Rainbow Dash to her cloud house, Rarity at her boutique, and lastly Twilight at her library with private steel wings Twi had him sleep on the couch downstairs Twilight would sent a letter to the princesses about the incident they had first thing in the morning End of chapter: 2 Discovery
