The children of harmony are put under even more pressure than ever when Equestria's greatest evil returns
Tirek returns, and this time, he's plans ahead of the Princesses and even Discord! He first saps their magic and banishes them to Tartarus. Afterwards, he then goes to steal every ounce of magic he can and rule Equestria with a tyrannical fist.
But there's a slight flaw with his plan. What he doesn't know, is that the Children of Harmony are planning to overthrow and destroy Tirek, once and for all. Will the children be able to stop this evil tyrant or will Tirek intimidate them into a corner?
It was a calm night in the land of Equestria, and in the quiet town of Ponyville, ponies were all tucking their children in for the night. And in one particular cottage, Fluttershy and Ashley were tucking in Toby and Serenity in to bed, "Alright you little rascals, its time for bed," Ashley said, as she scooped the two up, and placed them in their respective beds, as Fluttershy tucked them in.
"Alright my sweet angels, good night," Fluttershy said, as she and Ashley kissed both of them on their heads.
Both children giggled, and simultaneously said, "Goodnight Mommy, we love you!"
"We love you too," Fluttershy and Ashley said in unison, as both children rested their heads on their pillows, and went to sleep. As soon as the two were asleep, Ashley and Fluttershy quietly tiptoed out of their room.
Toby's Dreamscape:
As soon as he fell asleep, Toby found himself in Ponyville, but it was different than it normally was. Ponyville was completely desolate, not a soul to be found, "That's weird, where is everyone?" Toby wondered, as he started walking around. After trying to find someone, Toby finally came across his friend, Lyra, but she was completely fatigued, "Lyra? What's wrong?" Toby asked, rushing over to the green unicorns side.
Looking up, Toby shuddered at the sight of Lyra's eyes, they were pale, as if she had been completely drained, "Toby, what are you still doing here?!" Lyra asked.
"What do you mean?" Toby asked.
"You have to get out of here, get out of Equestria before HE captures you!" Lyra warned.
"Who's he? My Daddy?" Toby asked.
"Worse, a terrible evil has returned, as is draining everypony of their magic!" Lyra explained.
"But, Auntie Celestia and the others, they can stop this evil, right?" Toby asked.
"No, they can't. He already drained them and banished them to Tartarus, so nothing can stop him, even Discord," Lyra replied.
"E-even Discord?! But, what about the others?" Toby asked, now getting scared.
"Don't worry, Eris transported them to an alternate dimension where HE can't get to," Lyra replied.
"But who is 'he'?" Toby asked, as a crash came from behind him. Turning around, Toby cowered at the sight. It was a large black creature with red arms and a red face. His eyes were black with yellow pupils.
"She means me, Lord Tirek! The rightful ruler of this pathetic land," the monster replied, as he used his magic to grab both Toby and Lyra, "And you, are nothing but a little insect for me to step on, but first," Tirek said, turning his attention to Lyra, "Thanks for telling me about the whereabouts of the others children!" Tirek said, as he threw Lyra away, much to Toby's horror. Just then, a flash of bright light descended upon the two. When the light faded, it revealed Princess Luna. Luna gasped at seeing Tirek.
"Vile cur, what do you think you're doing, showing your face again?!" Luna demanded in her royal Canterlot voice.
"Save it! I'm back, and this time, I plan to make everypony's lives miserable!" Tirek said, as Luna's horn flashed, erasing Tirek from Toby's dream.
"Toby, art thou alright?" Luna asked her nephew.
"I'm alright, but what about Lyra?!" Toby replied, worried about his friend.
"Don't worry, she is fine. But this troubles me," Luna said solemnly.
"Who was that?" Toby asked.
With a heavy sigh, Luna knelt down, "Have you ever wondered how Twilight's castle came to be?" she asked.
"No, I thought it was built like any other castle," Toby replied.
"Well, I shall tell you about it later, but for now, you must awaken, and inform your mothers and sister," Luna said, as she lit up her horn.
"But, what about the others?" Toby asked.
"Worry not, I will inform them myself," Luna replied, as light engulfed Toby.
Toby shot up with a yelp that was loud enough to wake up Serenity, "Toby, what's wrong?" she asked.
"No time, we need to get Momma and Mommy," Toby replied, as he got out of bed, and ran to the door, with Serenity following after him, "Serenity, you go get Momma, while I get my Mommy," Toby said as both siblings knocked on their parents doors.
Opening up her door, Fluttershy was surprised to see Serenity. Ashley was just as surprised to see Toby, "Serenity, Toby, what's wrong?" Fluttershy asked.
"We've got trouble," Toby replied.
"What sort of trouble?" Ashley asked, starting to get worried.
"Apparently, an evil guy by the name of Tirek is back," Toby replied, which made Fluttershy and Serenity gasp in horror.
"Who's Tirek?" Ashley asked.
"Equestria's greatest evil. He saps ponies of all their magic, just leaving them drained and powerless. Toby, how did you find out about Tirek?" Fluttershy asked.
"I had a nightmare, where Tirek captured me and Lyra. But he just threw away Lyra like a forgotten toy," Toby replied, before remembering what Luan had said, "Oh, and Auntie Luna wants us to meet at Auntie Twilight's castle," Toby added.
"Alright, go get your shoes on sweetie," Ashley said to her son, who dashed off to get his shoes on, "Fluttershy, is there any way to stop Tirek?" she asked the butter yellow Pegasus.
"There is one way. it worked once before, so I'm hoping it'll work again," Fluttershy replied.
"I hope so too," Ashley said, as Toby came running back.
"Alright, lets get going," Fluttershy said, as she, her children, and Ashley all left the cottage. However, they didn't notice a pair of sinister eyes were watching them.
'That's right, run away and lead me to the others,' Tirek thought to himself, as he silently followed them in the shadows.
Making their way towards Twilight's castle, Fluttershy's group soon saw the others were there as well, "Girls, did you get Princess Luna's message as well?" Ashley asked.
"Yes, and this is dreadfully grim," Rarity replied.
"Yeah, Tirek has a lot of nerve showing his face in Equestria again!" Rainbow Dash snarled.
"Simmer down Rainbow, we beat him last time, we can do it again," Applejack said, as Celestia and Luna's carriages came down in front of the castle.
"Glad to see everyone is here, now lets hurry inside," Celestia said, as they all hurried inside.
'Good, good, all four princesses are present, along with that buffoon, Discord,' Tirek thought, as he made his way to the castle door. He was about to open the door, when something zapped him, "OWW! Figures, the castle only allows the truly pure of heart inside," he complained, before an idea popped in his head, "Ah, then I shall have to wait for them to come out," he said, before he went back into the shadows.
"So now that Tirek is back, we know what we need to do," Twilight said, as she and her friends and family all were going over the plan to deal with the menace.
"Since Tirek uses his horns to use magic, that's bound to be his weak spot. Tirek can't absorb magic without it spilling out," Raiden theorized.
"And while we take care of Tirek, Eris will take all the children to a parallel world where Tirek cannot follow," Discord said.
"Ok, so we have a gameplay," Shining Armor said.
"But you guys need to be careful! From what Lyra told me in my nightmare, Tirek absorbed your power first, then banished you to that bad place," Toby said. The ponies all knew that Toby meant Tartarus.
"Don't worry Toby, Tirek is a formidable adversary, but he is not invincible," Luna reassured.
"But wait, if Tirek is back, then won't he sense that we're all here?" Rarity asked fearfully.
"It wouldn't matter if he knew. This castle is protected by the magic of the elements of harmony, so an evil like Tirek cannot breach those doors," Discord explained.
"So then, all we have to do is stay in here? Piece of cake!" Rainbow said.
"Not quite Rainbow, for you see, as soon as all six fillies are out of Equestria, the castle will lose its enchantment, meaning we'll have to go out and face Tirek, one way or the other," Discord explained.
"I have already sent word to every parent in Equestria, explaining the situation, so Eris, you can take the children when ready," Celestia said, which Eris nodded in understanding. Just then, she and Discord shuddered.
"Uh oh," Discord said.
"He's here in Ponyville!" Eris cried.
"Eris, you need to go now! And don't worry about us, we'll be fine," Discord said to his daughter.
"But Daddy," Eris started before being stopped by Discord.
"No 'buts' Eris. Go, we'll be fine," Discord said sternly.
Reluctantly, Eris nodded, and snapped her bear claw, and teleported herself, and the children out of the castle.
"Alright, lets go get this jerk!" Rainbow said, as she flew off, with the others following her.
Once they teleported away, the children of all of Equestria soon found themselves in a barren white wasteland, "Where are we?" one filly asked.
"Children, please, calm down," Eris called to them all. Their attention soon turned to the Draconequss, "Ok, there's no nice to put this, but an ancient evil is attacking Equestria, and draining ponies left and right of all their magic," Eris explained with a heavy sigh. This alarmed the children, with some of them starting to tear up, "But the four princesses of Equestria tasked me with keeping you all safe, with approval from your parents," Eris explained.
"But what if they fail!?" one colt called.
"Have faith, they stopped this terror before, so they'll do it again, I hope," Eris said, whispering the last part.
"But why bring us here?" Diamond Tiara asked.
"This is the dimension of imagination, it lets you bring you ideas to life," Eris replied, as building and amusement parks started popping up like weeds, "Well, at least it'll their minds off of the situation," Eris said, as she saw the crusaders all rushing over to their friends.
"Sweetie pie, who's the monster?" Silver Spoon asked.
"Some monster by the name of Tirek. Hopefully Momma and the others will stop him," Toby said, as Silver Spoon nuzzled him under his chin.
Back in Equestria, the ponies were able to quickly find Tirek thanks to Discord, "Alright Tirek, that's far enough!" Celestia yelled at the centaur, who was busy draining some ponies of all their magic.
"Ah, so glad of you to come," Tirek said, as he fire a blast of magic at the group, who was saved thanks to Shining Armor, "Oh, very interesting," Tirek said, as he drained the shields power, and then all of Shining Armor's magic, and then he grew in size.
"SHINGING!" Twilight and Cadence cried, as they rushed to the unicorns side, before being stopped by Tirek's magic grip and were sapped of all their magic. Once he drained the two alicorns of their power, Tirek grew to about half the size of Twilight's castle. Then he grabbed the rest of the group, "Now you will join your friends," Tirek snarled, as he began draining them of all their magic. Once he absorbed all their magic, he slammed them all against Shining Armor, Twilight, and Cadence, and the humans.
"Y-you'll never get away with this Tirek," Twilight snarled.
"Oh naïve Princess Twilight, I already have!" Tirek yelled, as he snapped his fingers, and imprisoned the ponies, Discord, and the humans in a cage, "Look familiar? This is the wretched cage you imprisoned me in! But I made it reinforced with obsidian, so you won't be getting out of there anytime soon!" Tirek growled.
"But, one question, how did you get by Cerberus?" Discord demanded.
"Oh, you'll see soon enough!" Tirek laughed evilly as he snapped his fingers, and sent the cage to Tartarus.
After being caged up, the mane six, royal sisters, crystal couple, Discord, and human parents were all banished to Tartarus, "Sent here again! Man, I hate that guy!" Discord growled, as Fluttershy wept, "Hey, I didn't mean to frighten you Fluttershy," he said, patting the butter yellow Pegasus on the back.
"I-I-its not that, look!" Fluttershy replied, pointing at what made her cry. The others gasped when they saw Cerberus, on the ground, dead.
"My word," Rarity said, feeling sickened at seeing the poor beasts fate.
"So Tirek killed Cerberus? But, I thought the Cerberus was an immortal dog," Eric said.
"It appears Tirek used what little magic he had to weaken Cerberus, and then dealt the fatal blow," Luna said grimly.
"But now that monster is still in Equestria! Can nothing stop him?!" Ashley asked.
"The magic of friendship is what imprisoned him last time he came to Equestria, but its useless when we're not face to face," Twilight explained.
"So, nothing can stop him?" Marcus asked.
"No, not this time," Celestia replied depressingly.
Chapter 2: Tirek's Reign of Terror begins! Return to Canterlot
After banishing the Elements of Harmony and their friends, Tirek went on to draining everypony in Equestria of every ounce of magic they have. He started in Manehatten, and started draining ponies on main street, then he went on to parks, and so on until he had every bit of magic in the city, "HAHAHAHAHA! These foolish ponies are quite the feast, but where should I go next?" Tirek wondered, when it hit him, "Maybe that backwater town of Appaloosa," he said as he made his way to the desert.
While watching over all the children, Eris shuddered again, "Oh dear," she said fearfully.
"What's wrong?" Eris turned to see Silver and the other children.
"I just felt a major loss of magic. I think Tirek won against Daddy and the rest," Eris replied fearfully, which made the others gasp in fear.
"Take us back to Canterlot!" Nathan cried.
"No, I was tasked with keeping you all safe, and I'm making sure it stays that way," Eris replied.
"But Ah... no, we should try to stop that monster! Please, Ah' going to take Daddy's place as Captain of the Royal Guard, so now's a good a time to start leading!" Nathan begged, not backing down, with fierce determination.
Upon seeing this determination, Eris sighed, "Alright, but I want to know your plan before I ever snap my talon," she demanded, crossing her arms.
"Well, the first thing we need to do is try to stall Tirek for time, by putting a force field around the city. That should buy us enough time for us to get the guards ready to defend the citizens. Then, from there, we, uh..." Nathan stammered as he tried think of the next phase in his plan.
"We'll think of the next step when we get there," Silver said.
"Alright, but the force field can only stay up for about three hours, which isn't a lot of time," Eris said.
"Then lets go!" Nyx said.
"No Nyx, you better stay here. If Tirek gets your magic, you'll disappear forever," Eris replied.
"Why will she disappear?" Brian asked.
"Because, she wasn't born like other ponies, she was created. The magic she has is what keeps her in this world. If she looses all her magic, she'll perish," Eris explained.
"Sorry we have to leave you Nyx," Conner said.
"Don't worry sweetie, just make sure you stay safe!" Nyx said as she kissed Conner.
"Don't worry, we'll stop Tirek," Silver said, as the other children teleported away.
Teleporting into the throne room of Canterlot Castle, the children were soon met with a very shocked guard, "Guard, has Tirek come to the city?" Nathan asked.
"No, but he will come here sooner or later," the guard replied.
"Alright, mah Daddy's been defeated by that monster, so as your future captain, Ah'll give y'all your orders," Nathan explained.
"In these times, we need all the help we can get," the guard replied.
"Ok, round up every guard you can find, and have them report to the training grounds!" Nathan instructed. With a salute, the guard rushed off, "Ok, Cory, you and the titans go and tell the citizens to stay in their houses until further notice. Josh, Crystal, and Eris, you guys are on the force field. When the guards come and tell you Tirek is coming, raise the barrier, and try to keep it up as long as possible, and as for the rest of you, find any books relating to Tirek, anything and everything. Now lets hurry!" Nathan said as everyone broke to go do their own separate assignment.
Tirek continued to drain magic from everypony he saw. He sapped the magic from all cities except one: Canterlot, "I always save the best for last," he snarled as he now made his way towards the high class city. What he didn't notice was a Pegasus guard was standing look out. When he saw Tirek making his way towards Canterlot, he shot off like a rocket.
The guard made his way quickly to Nathan, who was going over the plan with the other children, "Prince Nathan! Tirek is on his way here!" the guard said.
"Ok, thank you," Nathan said, turning to Eris, Josh and Crystal, "Ok guys, get the shield up when you see Tirek coming, and try to keep it up as long as you can. We'll go take care of our part of the plan," Nathan instructed. With a nod, Eris teleported the three away, "Is everypony in Canterlot safe?" Nathan asked Cory.
"Yes, we told them to stay inside," Cory replied, as a force field engulfed the city.
"He's here," Heiru said, as he and the others ran outside, and were shocked to see that Tirek was the size of at least two castles.
"Oh mah," Nathan said, as Tirek started blasting the shield. Just then, Eris came back.
"Uh, remember when I said we only have three hours for the shield to protect us? Yeah, at this rate, it'll be destroyed in half the time," Eris said, scratching the back of her head, as the force field rippled, "Maybe less," Eris said, as the monstrous centaur continued to blast the shield.
Tirek continued to blast the force field, which was starting to weaken, "Nathan, at this rate, Tirek will get in! What do we do?!" Eris asked.
"First, we create a massive landslide, burying Tirek under large boulders. Then, Brian will melt the rocks down into lava, then Icezer and Surfer will cool it off. That ought to stop Tirek," Nathan explained.
"Ok, Echo-Echo, Silver, Lance, and Dusty, you guys are with me," Eris said, as she teleported the four boys away. With in seconds, an avalanche of boulders tumbled down on Tirek, who screamed in distress, "Alright Brian! Its your turn!" Eris called. Needing no further encouragement, Brian already went down to the pile of rocks, and melted them down into lava. Icezer and Surfer then went to work, cooling of the lava, turning it into obsidian.
"Did that work?" Silver asked. As all the children all looked closer, they didn't see any movement, until Eris got too close, and a large red hand broke out. With little effort, Tirek broke out of the trap.
"A noble effort," Tirek said, as he drained Eris of her magic, "But not good enough!" he snarled, throwing Eris back into the titans, "Bah, if the parent wasn't enough to stop me, then the child is no different!" he said, as he snapped his fingers, and banished the children to the Castle of the two Pony sisters, "Well, with the Timberwolves, I doubt those pests will be of any threat to me," Tirek cackled wickedly as he made his way back towards Canterlot.
Waking up from the daze of Tirek's magic, the children soon found that they were in the Celestia and Luna's old castle, "This is Auntie Celestia and Auntie Luna's old castle. Why would Tirek send us here?" Toby asked.
"I think I might know. Mike, before all the craziness started, wasn't zap apple season starting?" Eris asked.
"Yeah, we were all planning to go do harvesting tomorrow, why?" Mike replied.
"Well, Granny Smith said that one of the signs of zap apple season was an increase in Timberwolf activity, meaning, they become more aggressive. So Tirek dropped us here to keep us from returning," Eris replied.
"Toby, tell me your group found anything on Tirek's weaknesses," Nathan asked desperately.
"Sorry Nathan, but no book had anything on Tirek or his species," Toby replied.
"Well, we are in the old castle of the Two Sisters, so there might be something in the library on centaurs," Raiden theorized.
"Well, its worth a shot. We've tried everything, so it wouldn't hurt," Kelly said, as they all made their way to the library.
"Found anything?" Silver called. All he got as a response was everyone calling nope, "Well, that's just great," Silver said, frustrated, before an idea popped in his head, "Eris, when Tirek was here last time, did you see what Twilight and her friends did to stop him?" he asked.
"Yeah, they unlocked a mysterious box from the Tree of harmony, which gave them a brand new type of power. I think the box's residue is still where the box used to be," Eris replied.
"Well, hopefully we can use that power too. Its our only hope of stopping Tirek once and for all," Nathan said.
Exiting the castle, the children all slowly made their way down towards the trench where the tree of Harmony was located, "Be careful guys. The Timberwolves are much more ferocious than usual during zap apple season," Eris warned.
"Don't worry Eris, if we see any, I'll just scorch them down to ash," Brian said, as they reached the staircase leading down the trench, "Ok Heaven, watch your step," Brian said, holding onto his sisters hand, as the group walked down the stairs. After some walking, the tree of harmony came into view.
"So, this is the tree of harmony?" Lance asked.
"Yes, and this is where Trinity and her friends were born. And here is where the chest was found," Eris said, pointing at the exact spot where the chest of harmony was.
"Well, there is leftover magic residue from the chest, but I don't think this will be enough to stop Tirek," Raiden said, inspecting the spot Eris was pointing at. Just then, he noticed something in the ground. Taking a closer look, he saw something glowing at the roots of the vine, "What's this?" he pondered.
"What's what?" Echo asked.
"There's something glowing under the vine, most likely in the vicinity of the roots," Raiden replied.
"Hold on, let me dig," Dusty said, walking over, and started shoveling dirt away, "He's right, there's something under this vine," Dusty said.
"Eris, what's under the tree of Harmony?" Silver asked.
"I don't know, I've never really stopped near the Tree when I go out," Eris replied. Just then, the ground below her, and the others caved in, and everyone fell down with a shriek. When they all looked up, they saw a large black rectangular object, with the same light Raiden saw emanating from behind it.
"An obelisk?" Raiden asked, as he and the others went over to investigate it. Once close enough, they noticed something on the object.
"What does it say?" Heaven asked.
"It says, 'Who so ever moves this blocker shall be granted power to stop any threat,' hmm, most likely if we move it, we can have the power to stop Tirek once and for all!" Raiden said.
"Well, then lets get this thing out of the way," Silver said, as he rolled the sleeves up on his jacket, and tried moving the obelisk, "Man, is this thing welded to the wall?" Silver asked.
"Here, let me try," Lance said, as he tried to move it, but to no avail, "Oof, either it is welded to the wall, or it weighs a ton or two," he commented. One after another, each of the children tried moving the obelisk, but to no avail.
"Man, this is tougher than Ah thought," Nathan commented, as he slumped down on a rock.
"I'll never give up!" Brian yelled, as he kept trying to move, "We've never given up before Tirek came, so we shouldn't give up now!" Brian yelled, as he kept trying to move the obelisk. Just then, he noticed a large flaming talon was trying with him. Looking up, he saw what appeared to be the spirit of a massive phoenix dragon.
"That's the spirit Brian. You must never give up, no matter the situation," the dragon said, as eleven other beasts, including a large yellow Rhinoceros Beetle, a wooden Panda, and many more.
"Who and what are they?" Toby asked in wonderment.
"The beasts of our elements. Each of them is a greater strength than we are," Raiden replied.
"We've been watching you kids from the moment we got to Equestria the first time. You've all been the best of friends, always helping out. So what's stopping you now?" the ice golem asked.
"Nothing, but we can't move that thing!" Heiru replied, motioning to the obelisk.
"Of course you couldn't, because you've all been trying individually," the wooden panda explained.
"But, if you worked together to move it, I wonder?" the squid asked.
Then it dawned on the children. They've always been friends through the thick and thin, and they could never truly accomplish anything individually, but when they work together, anything is possible, "You guys are right!" Brian said, with new found determination. Then, one by one, each child used every amount of strength they could muster to try and move the obelisk. Just as they all joined their hands on the obelisk, it started glowing in a brilliant rainbow light. With one last heave, the children were able to move the obelisk out of the way.
"We did it!" Kelly cheered, just as a mysterious rainbow force flowed out of the space that the obelisk was blocking. It engulfed each of the children, and filled each of them with a tremendous amount of harmony magic.
"Now it all makes sense," Josh said.
"It does?" Kelly asked.
"When we were each brought to Equestria, our parents put the magic of friendship inside each of us. That's how we were able to move the obelisk!" Josh replied, as the light glowed brighter and brighter by the second. They were all soon infuse with the infinite power of the elements of harmony.
Toby became infused with Kindness, as large butterfly wings grew on his back, and similar colors as Fluttershy, as markings of butterflies appeared all around his body. Conner was infused with Generosity, as his hair grew to about the same length of his body, with his mothers mane color become visible in his blonde hair, with images of diamonds on his body. Mike was next with Honesty. He could feel himself becoming as strong as an earth pony, as he normally brown hair turned a burnt blonde, with markings of apples. Melody and Clover were feeling the power of Laughter. Their hair was becoming hot pink, with images of cupcakes and balloons appearing on their faces, arms and legs. Echo was infused with Loyalty. He grew similar wings to Toby, excepts they were Pegasus wings, with streaks of rainbow in his hair, and images of thunderbolts appearing on his body. Josh, Kelly, Crystal and Cory came next. The four could feel massive amounts of magic empowering them, as wings appeared on them, as well as the star markings. The titans, Nega Titans, and Heaven were next, as they could feel limitless amounts of magic, unlike what they experienced when they harnesses the powers of the elements of harmony. Shapeless images appeared on them. Nathan and Mavis were infused with the power of love, as they became crystalline, with images of hearts appearing on their bodies. Chris, Timmy, and Drake were last, as they felt limitless magic flowing inside them as well, with images of the sun and moon appearing on the three of them.
"This is what happened with Twilight and her friends before," Eris said in awe.
"Well, then this is how we'll stop Tirek this time," Cory said, as he and his friends and siblings flew out of the cave, and towards Tirek.
Chapter 4: The children of Harmony vs. Tirek (Part 1)
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Tirek laughed evilly as his deed was at long last accomplished, "NOW THAT I HAVE FINALLY TAKEN MY PLACE AS RULER OF EQUESTRIA, NOTHING CAN STAND UP TO ME!" Tirek bellowed across the now desolate land of Equestria.
"Who are you calling 'Nothing'?" Tirek turned and to his surprise, the children he banished were rainbowfied, just like the Mane Six.
"How can you be doing that?! You have no magic!" Tirek demanded.
"Wrong! We hold the same power our parents used to defeat you the last time, so we're going to do it again!" Silver taunted.
"Grr, alright you little worms," Tirek said as he used Pegasus magic to float up in to the air, "Time to show you what I am capable of now!" he sneered, as the children started an assault on Tirek.
"Chaos Lightning!" Raiden called to the heavens, as a bolt of lightning, more powerful than a normal bolt, struck Tirek. To his surprise, Tirek was undamaged, and unfazed.
"Grr, no doubt regular attacks ain't going to cut it this time," Nathan commented.
"So we need to combine our attacks," Francisco said, as he threw a blade of spacial energy at Tirek. Tirek blocked it with his bare hands with ease.
"Ha! No attack you use will harm me! I am invincible! I have the powers of everypony in Equestria! I am the ultimate life form!" Tirek taunted, as he fired a blast of magic at the children, who all dodged the blast. Then, without warning, Tempo appeared suddenly in front of Tirek's face.
"I would say that," Tempo taunted, as he fired a blast of concentrated time energy at the centaur. While Tirek was recovering from the blast, Mike and Chris charged at Tirek's knees, and delivered a powerful punch to the two front legs.
"Curse you little maggots!" Tirek said, as he fired a blast at the children, more powerful than the last one. Toby got out in front and raised a barrier, which deflected the blast.
"Blazing chaos wildfire!" Brian called, as a raging fire of many colors engulfed Tirek. The centaur laughed, and used his magic to blow away the fire.
"A mere birthday candle to me. Haven't you realized by now NOTHING can stop me?!" Tirek asked.
"He's right guys, these attacks aren't going to stop him," Silver said.
"Then lets combine our powers and take him down!" Kelly declared, as the children all began charging their magic, and charged at Tirek with the force of a bullet. It was enough to send him barreling into the side of one of the mountains.
The children thought that Tirek was done, but the nightmare was just beginning, as Tirek demolished the mountain. He looked angrily at the children, "I HAVE HAD ENOUGH!" he yelled, firing yet another blast of power at them, which Toby defended again, "Grr, this is MY kingdom, and I won't tolerate insubordination from anyone, least of all a couple of simple children!" Tirek yelled, as he fired an even stronger blast than ever. Toby continued to defend, but the shield was beginning to falter.
"Need some help guys!" Toby called, as Conner, Timmy, and Chris came to his aid, adding their magic to Toby's shield.
"You can't keep hiding behind that pitiful excuse for a shield forever!" Tirek taunted, as he increased power.
"Tempo!" Raiden called.
"On it!" Tempo replied, as he slowed down time, and got everyone out of harms way.
"Keep Tirek busy, I have a plan!" Lance said, as he flew behind the monster centaur, just as time went back to normal.
Tirek saw that the children dodged the attack, and growled, "HOW DARE YOU EVADE MY ATTACK?!" Tirek yelled.
"Well, what else could we do?" Silver taunted.
"Tirek, your reign of terror will end today!" Clover yelled.
"No longer will you be a threat to Equestria," Heiru added.
"Bah! You're just a bunch of kids!" Tirek snapped back.
"That may be true, but we will never give up," Toby said.
"NOW LANCE!" Echo-Echo called, as the boy in question came down on Tirek, and sliced off one of his horns with his claw like nails. Tirek screamed in agony, as he clenched where Lance struck his horn.
"We did it! Now we stand a chance!" Melody cheered, as a red blast was fired at her and her friends.
"Did you really think it was that easy?" Tirek taunted, as, much to the children's horror, his other horn was glowing with dark red energy.
"You're kidding me!" Echo replied.
"Well, looks like we need to cut off the other horn to stop his magic," Raiden analyzed.
"And no doubt it'll be even tougher than the first one," Silver commented.
"But think for a minute. Tirek fired concentrated blasts of energy at us with both horns, but if one is missing, he can't aim properly," Toby theorized.
"I hope you're right Toby, because Tirek looks angrier than ever," Icezer commented, as Tirek began to charge for another assault.
Chapter 5: The Children of Harmony vs. Tirek (part 2)
Once more, Tirek blasted the children, hoping to destroy them, once and for all. When the smoke cleared, he saw that Toby was shielding everyone from the blast, with some help from Nathan, "Thanks Nathan," Toby said.
"No problem," Nathan replied, as the others went on the offensive, again.
"Try this on for size!" Silver yelled, firing a beam of psychic power at Tirek, who just blocked the attack.
"Is that all you got?" Tirek taunted, as he fired at Silver, who teleported away, just in time.
"Man, this guys just isn't backing down!" Dusty commented, before an idea popped in his head. He burrowed his way underground, and made his way towards Tirek. Digging around Tirek's hooves, he was able to cause a cave in, which caught Tirek by surprise.
"What is the meaning of this?!" Tirek demanded, as he blasted the rocks around him, to try and free himself. As soon as he got onto solid ground, he immediately slipped and fell. Looking around, he saw the ground was turned to ice.
"Ha, take that!" Icezer taunted. Tirek continued to try to get on his hooves, but kept slipping.
"Alright, that should keep him from firing at us, but how are we going to stop him? Our attacks won't work on him," Silver pondered.
"We all have the magic of friendship inside each of us, so maybe if we all combine our power, we can stop him," Kelly thought.
"Well, its worth a shot, we've tried everything we could think of," Raiden commented.
"Alright, then lets finish this, once and for all!" Josh declared, as everyone gathered their magic together.
Tirek saw what they were doing, and knew what would happen, "Not so fast!" he yelled, as he fired another magic blast at the children, causing them to scatter.
"We can't do much of anything with Tirek firing at us," Kelly said.
"We need to try and chop off his other horn. That ought to keep him from firing at us," Raiden said.
"Yeah, but with the ice, he keeps moving," Mavis pointed out.
"Uh, guys?" Brian said, pointing at Tirek. He was blasting the ice to smithereens.
"Ok, that'll make things a bit harder than we originally wanted," Cory commented, as Tirek fired at the children.
Flying around, Nathan soon got an idea, "Hey Dusty, try to cave in the ground around Tirek again. Ah have an idea," Nathan called.
"On it!" Dusty said, as he quickly burrowed back into the ground, and made his way towards the centaur again.
"Brian! When Dusty gets Tirek to cave in, try to melt the rocks around him again. That should keep him from moving long enough for us to swoop in and chop his other horn off," Nathan explained.
"Sure, no problem," Brian said, as the ground under Tirek caved in again. Brian then melted the rock to point of lava, trapping his entire lower body.
"Surfer, Icezer, cool off that lava!" Nathan barked.
"Ok!" the two said, as they quickly cooled off the lava.
"Ha, you maggots think can stop me from preventing your pitiful magic act?" Tirek taunted.
"No, not really," Nathan said bluntly.
"But, it does give us time to do this!" Raiden yelled, as he took a thunder sword, and sliced off Tirek's other horn. Tirek screamed in agony again.
"We did it!" Kelly cheered.
"Alright Tirek, any last words?" Chris asked. For a moment, there was nothing but silence, before, to the children's surprise, Tirek laughed evilly.
"You miserable worms really think chopping off my horns makes any difference?" Tirek yelled, as he broke out of the stone, and clapped his hand together to form a ball of magic, "I can still use magic, despite not having my horns!" Tirek yelled, as he fired another magic blast at the children.
"Oh you've got to be kidding!" Lance complained.
"Wait, when he used his horns, the attack was almost instantaneous," Raiden pointed out.
"And your point is?" Francisco asked.
"When he uses his hands to use magic, it takes a little longer. So, if we're far enough away, we may just be able to use the magic of friendship to stop him!" Raiden explained. The others saw no flaw in this plan.
"Alright, I'll teleport us to those mountains over there," Silver said, motioning towards some mountains that were really far away, "That should be enough of a distance to use our finisher," he finalized.
"Alright, then I'll transport us all there," Francisco said, opening a portal, and having everyone jump in. Once he was in, the portal closed.
Down in Tartarus, Rainbow Dash was becoming impatient, "Why hasn't anybody stopped that jerk?!" she snarled.
"Simmer down Rainbow, Tirek has the magic of all four Princesses, so Ah don't think there's anyone gutsy enough ta even try to stop him," Applejack replied. Just then, Discord lifted his head, and a look of astonishment.
"What is it Discord?" Celestia asked.
"Its Tirek. I can still sense what goes on up there. He's in a battle with someone, infused with the magic of friendship," Discord replied.
"Really, can you tell who it is?" Fluttershy asked.
"My baby's fighting that monster?!" Sarah demanded, getting in Discord's face.
"Calm yourself, I can sense that they currently have the edge in the battle," Discord replied.
"How so?" Twilight asked.
"They've chopped off both of Tirek's horns, but something's troubling me," Discord said.
"And what is that?" Luna asked.
"Well, without those horns, Tirek shouldn't be able to use anymore magic, but I can sense he's still using magic against them," Discord replied.
"But, they'll be alright, right?" Ashley asked.
"I'm sure they will be, because they have the protection of the magic of friendship. That's how Twilight and friends stopped him before," Discord replied.
Chapter 6: The Children of Harmony vs. Tirek (Final Part)
After transporting the others to the far mountains, Francisco soon joined them after exiting the portal, "Alright, its only a matter of time before Tirek learns where we are, so we have to do this now!" Raiden said, with the others nodding in agreement.
'One heart, one mind,' they all thought, as the magic started to build up tremendous amounts of magic.
Tirek's blindness wore off, and when his vision came to, he saw that the children were no where to be found, "Where are those little flies?!" he demanded, looking around for the children. He then felt very powerful magic, and when he turned, he saw the children forming a ball of magic, "No, NO! I WILL NOT ALLOW THIS!" Tirek declared, as he used the stolen Pegasus magic and rocketed over to where the children were.
While the children were charging their final attack, Lance saw that Tirek was flying towards them at breakneck speeds, "Guys, we need to hurry it up!" he called.
"Not yet, just a little closer," Nathan said, waiting for the opportune time to throw the magic.
"Nathan, we need to throw it now!" Cory called.
"NOW!" Nathan said, as he and the others made a throwing motion, which had the entire ball going straight at Tirek.
"I won't allow this! I SHALL NEVER CONCEDE!" Tirek yelled, as he fired his magic at the ball. At first, it was an even match, but soon the ball overpowered Tirek's magic, and despite his efforts, Tirek was unable to stop its power. After the ball made contact with Tirek, there was a huge explosion, leaving only a black vortex.
"Is it over?" Mavis asked.
"No, I still sense Tirek's life force inside that vortex," Stealth replied.
"We need to stop him from ever coming back," Silver declared, as he and the others flew towards the vortex.
"They did it! They stopped Tirek!" Discord said, whooping like mad.
"Alright! Now we can escape!" Rainbow said.
"Wait, something's not right," Discord said.
"What?" Celestia asked.
"I can still sense Tirek's life force. He's still alive!" Discord said fearfully, before a look of confusion and awe crept on his face, "Now I'm sensing the children's life force. They're moving towards where Tirek is," he added.
"Why would my baby go anywhere near that monster?!" Rebecca demanded.
"I think to finish him off, once and for all," Discord said.
Inside a black void, Tirek's body materialized, "What, I'm still alive? Those children are more powerful than I had originally anticipated," Tirek growled, "Well, I'll just have to go back and stomp of them for good," he declared, before a light shone, revealing the children, and the images of all four pony races, Discord and Eris. They all made a "Come here" motion, which Tirek found odd, "What are you kids doing?" Tirek asked, before he felt magic being sapped. One by one, each image surrounding the children lit up in colors, before the children began generating more power than ever, "No, NO! I cannot allow this! I will destroy you worms, here and..." Tirek was cut off, when the children all appeared in his face, with their hands fanned out, causing Tirek to revert to his weakened state, "N-no, you can't do this!" Tirek said, before being blasted out of existence with a scream of agony.
A huge explosion occurred as a result, forming the image of a 3-D American flag that spread all across Equestria. And all the ponies exposed to this explosion found their magic was returning. Eris had gotten her magic back as well, and teleported away to retrieve the children.
The replenished magic even reached the ponies and Discord in Tartarus, "They did it, they finally destroyed Tirek," Discord said, as they all teleported back to celebrate the hero's victory.
Landing in front of Twilight's castle, the children all reverted back to their original forms, "Wow, now that was pretty intense," Nathan commented.
"Yeah, I just wish Mommy and the others were here," Mavis said.
"But were are here," the children all turned to see the Mane Six and the rest. The children all rushed over to hug their parents.
"Oh Mommy, I missed both of you!" Mavis cried, running to her human mother, who tenderly hugged her.
"Its alright baby, we're all here," Jasmine said.
"So, is Tirek gone for good?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"Please, nothing could ever survive a power blast like that. He's gone forever, never to be seen again," Discord replied.
"I think this calls for a celebration," Celestia said with a blushing smile, which everyone else nodded in agreement. Just then, Eris came back with all the foals of Equestria.
Nyx, Trinity, oh thank goodness you both are alright," Twilight said in relief, as she hugged her two pony daughters.
"Every foal in Equestria has been returned safely to their homes," Eris said.
"Thank you pumpkin," Discord said, as the sun began to set on the day of the greatest day in Equestrian history.
The main streets of the Crystal Empire were packed, as the four princesses and the mane six took their places on stage in the same dresses they wore for Twilight's coronation, "Citizens of Equestria, we are gathered here today for a momentous occasion. The children of my faithful student, Twilight Sparkle, and her friends, along with my son, my sisters two sons, my nieces son and daughter, and the children of Discord have completed a tremendous feat. They have used the power of Friendship to finally put an end to one of Equestria's greatest threats, once and for all," Celestia announced, as the thunderous roar of applause echoed throughout the entire empire.
Cadence walked up, "And now, we are proud to present our children with the highest award anyone in Equestria can receive, so please help us welcome, the Children of Harmony!" Cadence announced, as the aforementioned children walked down the middle isle, and towards the stage.
"Words alone cannot begin to describe the tremendous acts of bravery each of you displayed in the battle against Tirek," Luna said.
"We are all so proud of your actions to save Equestria from a tyrannical rule, so, with great pride, we bestow on you the highest achievement anyone can earn," Twilight said, as some guards came over with several velvet boxes, "For courage, and the display of courage you all showed, we present each and everyone of you with this, the Cross of Eternal Friendship," Twilight said, as she and her fellow Princesses distributed a platinum medal with a compass rose with four different gemstones all around. The ponies in attendance all stomped their hooves to cheer for their newest heroes, as photographers got pictures of all the children.
"There's going to be a private after party at Twilight's castle, just to let you kids know," Celestia whispered to the children.
"OK Auntie Celestia," Toby replied.
"Eris, I have a job for you, before we go to the party," Discord said to his daughter.
"What kind of job?" Eris asked.
"Tirek murdered Cerberus when he escaped," Discord replied, which made Eris gasp, "So, in addition to giving Cerberus a proper burial, I wish for you to summon another guardian," Discord explained.
"Yes Daddy. Could a Leviathan Dragon be acceptable?" Eris asked.
"It would," Discord replied, as Eris teleported away, "Well, while she's taking care of that problem, I might as well take Pinkie back to Twilight's castle and start preparation for the party," Discord said, as he teleported Pinkie back to the castle.
"Alright kids, we should get back to Ponyville," Twilight said, before noticing two slight problems: the paparazzi and fan fillies.
"I'd say getting off the stage alone will be a challenge, how do we get the train station itself?" Silver asked, as some fan fillies tried getting at Toby and the others.
"Uhh, maybe we should just teleport?" Celestia suggested.
"Sounds good to me, I don't know how much longer the stage can stay standing," Surfer commented, as the press and fans clawed at the stage, "We need to go, now!" he called, as the alicorns all lit their horns, and teleported the group out of the Crystal Empire.
"Where'd they go?!" one reporter asked.
"I wanted a picture with Conner!" one filly whined.
"We'll find them, one way or another!" a reporter said with determination.
Making their way back to Twilight's castle, the ponies and humans all found themselves outside the doors of the castle, "Man, that was a close one," Rainbow Dash commented.
"I'll say, but at least we're away from the paparazzi," Cadence said.
"And all those fans," Toby said, rubbing his head.
"Yeah, but now we're back home, safe and sound," Silver Spoon said, leaning on Toby in her Anthro form.
"Well, lets head inside. Knowing Pinkie Pie, she'll have the party all ready to go," Twilight said, as she opened the castle doors, and led the others inside. Once in the throne room, confetti cannons went off, catching everyone off guard.
"SURPRISE!" Pinkie yelled.
"Welcome back, everyone!" Discord said.
"Always a surprise from you two, isn't it?" Twilight chuckled.
"Well, it wouldn't be a surprise party with no surprise, now would it?!" Pinkie asked, getting in the lavender alicorns face.
"Uh, I guess not?" Twilight awkwardly replied.
"I thought so," Pinkie said, backing up, as the party commenced. Just then, Eris teleported in with several humans.
"Mom?" Ashley asked.
"Ashley, y-you're alive and Toby's safe and sound!" Toby's grandmother said as she hugged her daughter and grandson.
"We're fine Grandma, but, Eris, why'd you bring my grandma to Equestria?" Toby asked, turning to the female Draconequss.
"Yes, I would like an explanation myself," Discord said, folding his arms.
"Uh, you want the long version or the short version?" Eris asked.
"Just tell us," Discord said firmly.
"Well, basically the planet the kids all came from was destroyed by meteors, like Joshua's world, so I jumped in, and using pictures from Melody and Nathan's rooms, I was able to swing in the last second, and save their friends, and their friend's families. I also saved one American flag from destruction," Eris replied.
"Long story short, Earth is gone," Shade bluntly said.
"I will hang it up with the Equestrian flag, in memory of Earth," Celestia said, taking the flag.
"So, we're living in Melody's new home world?" Pedro asked.
"It would appear so," Pedro's mother, Allison replied. She had lightly tanned skin, with green eyes and brown hair.
"This may take some getting used to," Amber commented.
"Well, maybe there's room in town for an estate sized orphanage, for those ponies who want a child?" Shade's mother asked. She was a medium sized woman, with red hair and icy blue eyes.
"We might be able to put something out past Will's ranch," Discord replied.
"Who's Will?" Kyle asked Nathan.
"Believe it or not, he's a for real Pokemon Master, that lives on a massive ranch with every Pokemon he's ever caught!" Nathan said excitedly, which made Kyle and Luke's jaws drop like rocks, "No joke," he added.
"What kinds of Pokemon does he have?" Luke asked, getting excited about the information on the Pokemon trainer.
"All kinds! And a bunch of them Ah've never seen before. He says those ones are from a new region called Kalos," Nathan replied.
"Nice," Kyle commented, before remembering something, "Oh yeah, we got you something Nathan," he said as he and Luke dug through their bags. Kyle pulled out a box with a picture of a red game system on the side, while Luke pulled out four game boxes along with four large books, "Here, an upgrade for you DS," Kyle started.
"And some of the newest Pokemon games! Pokemon X and Y take place in the Kalos region, so you'll get an idea on the various new Pokemon you'll encounter. And Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are remakes of the original Ruby and Sapphire games, and like in X and Y, you can use Mega Evolution! And here are some strategy guides to the games, and Pokedex's to see what Pokemon can use Mega Evolution," Luke finished.
"Wow, thanks guys!" Nathan said, giving them a hug. As they hugged, Cadence noticed something in her sons hair, which looked like a black strap. A needle inside Cadence went from 'Normal' to 'Mom-Zilla' mode. She stomped over to Nathan, and picked him up with her magic, "Uh, Mommy, is something wrong?" he asked, uncomfortable by Cadence's glare.
Lifting up the hair that Nathan usually keeps in front of his right eye, Cadence gasped when she saw an eye patch, "Nathan, why are you wearing an eye patch?!" Cadence demanded, as she took off the eye patch, and shuddered at what she saw.
"Ok, so you got me, I have no right eye. I never had one," Nathan admitted.
Thinking for moment, Cadence turned to Discord, "Discord! I need a favor!" Cadence called.
"Oh yeah, what can I do for you?" Discord asked.
"Think you can give Nathan a replacement right eye?" Cadence asked, pointing at her eldest son.
"Why, what's wrong with the eye he already has?" Discord asked. Cadence explained what she saw, which Discord frowned upon too, "Very well, I think I have something he may like," Discord said, pulling our a metal ball with a red pupil. Poofing over to Nathan, Discord presented the eye to him, "Well, what do you say?" he asked.
"Ah would love that!" Nathan replied happily. With a snap of his talon, the eye disappeared, and Nathan clenched his right eye, as the pain was slight but unbearable. Taking his hand off his eye, Nathan could see that could see with two eyes now, "Wow, thanks Discord!" Nathan said, as he went back to mingling with his friends.
"Oh, um yes, he's such a sweet angel. Its very nice to meet you, Ms.?" Fluttershy replied.
"Samantha, and just Samantha. Well, doesn't look like much has changed about him," Samantha commented.
"Well, other than the fact that he's got a girlfriend now," Ashley said.
"Really? Well Toby, what's she like?" Samantha asked.
"Well, she's one of the town rich girls, not that I care about wealth or anything like that," Toby replied, as Silver Spoon wrapped her arms around Toby, and kissed his cheek.
"I take it she's your girlfriend?" Samantha asked, noticing the pony ears and tail on Silver Spoon's body, "And why is she wearing fake pony ears and a tail?" she asked.
"Fake? Those ears and tails are real," Toby replied.
"Oh really?" Samantha asked, giving Silver Spoon's ears a slight tug. Looking into the young girls hair, Samantha saw that the ears were connected to Silver Spoon's head, "I guess they are real," she commented.
"So, you're the head of the orphanage Nathan comes from?" Shade asked Amber.
"Why yes, well, one of the heads, anyway," Amber replied.
"And you're the head of Melody's orphanage?" Lucy asked.
"Yep. I bought the orphanage after the old care takers were sentenced to jail for child abuse," Shade replied.
"Oh, the poor dears," Lucy commented.
"Yeah, but at least they all still have a chance at new parents," Shade said. Just then, several thumps came from the front door. Twilight walked over to the door, and opened it only slightly, and she saw several reporters and fan fillies outside.
Hey guys, I plan on rewriting some of the chapters in this story to make it a bit longer, and a little more enjoyable. As for what I am doing, I am keeping that a surprise. But don't worry, I'm sure the rewrite will be just as enjoyable as the original storyline
