Well things are hectic. Buy a costume from a odd guy and now I'm in equestria with a customized light saber, epic clone trooper armor, and my imagination for building robots. Not only that I got the evil side of Luna aka nightmare moon trying to get
Well I really messed up big time. My name is kage hikari. Shadow light to those of equestria. To be honest I prefer the latter. I'm not much of a star wars fan. Frankly the only things that get my interest from that series is the droids and light sabers not the force abilities. What really gets my gears grinding in hate is how the story is placed. Anyway I just got the blade builders kit along side a neutral repaint of the inquisitor light saber then happen to buy from a odd merchant a custom clone trooper armor that honestly looked epic and next thing I know I'm in equestria with a highly customisable light saber and overtime became known as a hero. Then came nightmare moon who has a crush on me! Next thing I know I'm stoned by celestia to save me and when I am freed via carbonate deactivation I find Luna is still in love with me. Ever since my life has gotten hectic. If I ever find my cousins geo and senya I would be so relieved. But for now I'm just going to take things one step at a time. Also the ponies are anthros. Like I said hectic. Read on because my tale is odd to say the least.
Well it pretty much started after I got the blade builders kit from that toy fair in 2025 from star wars with a neutral repaint version of the inquisitor light saber as shown below,
Nice right? But see thing is I'm not big on star wars as a whole the only things I like are the droids and the light sabers. But on the droids well frankly their design on battle droids are kinda weak. No offence to star wars fanatics but as a guy interested in robotics and swords the battle droids used by the sith are sort of lacking. I mean despite their numbers they are little more then canon fodder to the Jedi order and the army. Even grievous has a weak design despite being a epic character. If I had to build a robotic army I would make them durable to last. And better looking just in case. Like knight armor that's always a classic.
Oh you want to know what I look like? Sure I am a silver haired teen with green eyes dressed in a black body suit with a pair of silver boots and fingerless gloves. Around my waist was a utility belt that had sixteen pouches with eight on each side. Spaced around was the various parts I gotten like the gyro-grip, extendable handle, various connector parts, four light daggers. And of course two blank light sabers. It actually will take me a bit to customize the gyro-grip to be compatible with the blade builder set. Have to figure it out right. Anyway I was at a convention looking for something not exactly boring.
Then the weirdest thing happened. I spotted what looked like a clone trooper finish up some custom clone trooper armor. It looked epic. It was a nice midnight blue with silver trim and looked more knight like in design. There even was a cloak with no emblem on the back. Even the helmet the troopers wore was more Knight like only without the phume or something. The visor actually was the majority of the thing and had a high tech attachment of googles designed like the visor of a knight helmet. There was a crest of a crescent moon on the forehead where the visor covered. And there was a few additions to the feet that made me wonder how he managed to do. The boots were able to unfold from the soles a hover board that can be detached and converted to a shield. Awesome in my opinion.
So I approached looking at the armor in awe.
"Like what you see there kid" asked the trooper with a chuckle.
"Heck yeah! This suit is epic! It's got a great design and fits a image of a defender quite well better then the original clone trooper suits. By the way I have a hard time telling them apart if it wasn't for the subtle difference like hair or face shape. I was actually surprised one clone could even use a light saber since usually clones don't have force sensitivity which makes me wonder what was different with that clone" I said with a excited grin making the trooper chuckle.
"Nice to see you can agree on it. I see you got some light saber parts? Having trouble with them" asked the trooper.
"Yeah it's going to be a pain trying to inter grate the gyro grip with this handle I got and these extra parts to better design the blades while leaving them able to separate to form a sub weapon" I said taking out all fourteen parts I had.
I laid them on the table between us and the trooper examined them.
"Yeah I can tell this will be a challenge. How about I customize these for you and help me see if the armor I made will fit a person. If it fits you can buy it for ten bucks while the custom job on these parts will cost you about thirty more due to the challenge" said the trooper.
"Sure sounds fair I can tell you put a lot of work into the armor. Just let me know how to assemble it when your done. Then we can see how the full ensemble will fit the suit" I agreed and paid him the thirty dollars for the custom job. As he worked he asked me about myself. I told him that I wasn't that much of a fan of star wars in general but was a robotics fan and liked the light sabers a lot.
"Basically the force just feels more like psychic abilities then anything. Clairvoyance, telekinesis, electrokinesis, and simply planting suggestions into a person's head with that mind trick? Those sound more like abilities of the mind then a force to me. Sure the levitation is useful but the rest could have certain limitations. Nothing is ever truly light or dark but a mix of both in balance. Only how their used determines if their light, dark, good or evil. Each one is connected in a way that anything is possible. It's like day and night. Both have their flaws and functions in balance. Nothing is perfect after all" I said finishing that bit of conversation.
"Hmm that is a fitting view point of the neutrals among force users. Use to much light and you blind yourself and the same with dark if it consumes you. But the same goes with using to little. Your right that their has to be a balance with the force. There done and here's a holder attachment for your belt. Better then keeping the parts in the pouch" said the trooper.
"Thanks" I said and the trooper gave a walk through on how to assemble the parts in what I wanted. And I built the custom light saber minus the blades for some reason same with the daggers and placed them onto the left hip slot I attached to my belt and separated the blade builders set an constructed a double ended bow blade out of the ten parts. I clipped it onto the right slot and with the trooper helping me I put on the suit and with helmet held under one arm I looked at a picture the trooper took of me in the whole thing and gave me a portrait sized copy that could be put in a picture frame. I placed it in a pouch and gave the trooper the ten bucks for the armor.
"Thanks for the suit and help! I never got your name by the way" I said.
"Who me I'm captain Rex and good luck your going to need it" said the trooper before I had finished placing the helmet on.
"Wait what huh" I said confused before I fell unconscious.
Next thing I know I wake up in some Forrest and I started when I realized that now over my heart on the chest plate was the symbol of the neutrals of the force users fraction wise.
The grey jedi. The splinter fraction of the force users that decided to stay out of the conflict unless there was no other choice. The perverbial defining line between Jedi and sith fractions. And not only that but I noticed a heads up display in the visor monertoring my stats and current position on a map function. It was then I rose a eyebrow seeing the name of where I was.
"Everfree forest? How in tartarus did I get to equestria! I thought it was fiction of a show" I said confused and surprisingly not freaking out.
If I was right I was somehow taken from my reality and into a alternate one. By all rights I should be panicking but then I felt that something in me had changed and I realized with a start it was like my sixth sense was heightened and made me aware of more of the world then I thought possible. I had the force! Or at least some aspects of it. Just the senses and by the fact I was levitating a rock without conscious thought the force grip. Sweet I could use that to move quicker if I recalled. I calmed down and felt the force go dormant before I decided to move on. Following my GPS I headed to ponyville and avoided and odd blue flowers if I could. I didn't want poison joke to do something that would cause more harm then good. That and I didn't want a bath from whatever Zecora makes as the cure.
Eventually I got to the place ponyville should be but all I found was a chaotic nightmare with what seemed to be discord causing trouble and there definitely wasn't even a town. That clinched where in time I was before celestia and Luna sealed discord away the first time. It was then I realized discord looked way different then what I saw in the show. He looked like a anthrodized version, I saw equestria girls enough to tell it was like two thirds regular equestria and the rest eqg versions mixed. There was a definitle human like shape and he wore clothes but the rest looked like the more beastial version of equestria. If discord looked like that that meant I was in a anthropedic equestria. I quickly hid and decided to arrange my weapons. I took the gyro grip and placed it on my secondary weapon and slotted it on my back under the cloak. I placed both light saber hilts in the side slots. I headed deeper to the Forrest before discord became aware of my presence. I found a nice clearing before deciding to take a nap so taking off my torso armor and my helmet I laid onto the grass under the cloak and fell asleep. That was how I entered equestria. But the next month will test if I was going to find out how I am going to be accepted once celestia and Luna become rulers.
I wondered what kind of version they were. And with that I dreampt about wolves and how to raise one throughout the whole night.
When I woke up the next day I sighed and put on my remaining armor and my cloak. Clipping on my weapons I started to move before I noticed a blue blur slammed into me making us tumble with me giving the classic cartoon sounds of pain when I hit the ground as our momentum kept us moving until we hit a tree. I groaned as I tried to stop the surroundings from spinning showing I was dizzy. Once I got my sight and orientation fixed I looked at who crashed into me. I recognized her as princess Luna if she was humanoid in shape. She was in a suit of armor I once saw online as seen like this:
The reason I knew it was Luna was that she didn't wear the helmet revealing her iconic head if slightly human shaped and had her crown. And unfortunately for me my arms were pinned so I couldn't get up and her armor was pressing down I couldn't even talk. I think I had a expression of pain when this world's version of celestia found us. She kinda looked like this:
On seeing me in our positions she rushed over putting away her axe and helped get her sister off me and I took a deep breath with some coughs to get enough air to breath again to talk. I used the nearest tree branch to pull myself up from the ground. By now Luna had gotten rid of her dizzy feeling and spotted me as I still coughed as I pulled myself up.
"Ouch now I know how a cannonball feels" I said once I stopped coughing.
"Forgive thy sister for the incident we were just training when our spar went out of hand" said celestia in ye old canterlot accent. Or in human terms ye old English for knights.
'It was a accident I know. Next time be aware of your surroundings. I spotted discord a few hours walk from here and I don't think your ready to face him". Said pointing down the trail where I came into the clearing yesterday.
"What manner of speech is thy speaking sir Knight" asked Luna confused.
"If your talking about how I refer to myself the word I is how one refers to oneself and not how you talk with the royal we when you reference yourself. Also I'm no knight despite my look. Before we talk more let's leave before discord arrives" I said before getting my helmet with the force and put it on. The sight had surprised the two princesses and we left.
"So princesses where can we talk without discord hearing" I asked making the two look shocked.
"The crowns clued to me that your royalty though I never hear of princesses that look like knights before" I said making the two blink.
"If thy are going to be allied with us call us by our names, thine name is celestia and thy little sister of mine is Luna" said celestia as Luna gave a curt nod.
"My name is kage hikari" I said making them confused.
"It means shadow light" I explained.
Soon we arrived at a tower that oddly reminded me of yen Sid's tower from kingdom hearts and we went up the staircase to where a grey humanoid pony version of merlin was waiting and the three of us got ready to talk after introductions were finished and I realized I was meeting the fabled starswirl himself.
"So what brings you to our world young man? Your aura is not native to our realm" asked starswirl.
Figures he would see I wasn't native to this world. Taking off my helmet I took a deep breath and told them how I ended up in their world without telling them they were part of a fiction tale in my world.
"And that was how I found myself here. My world doesn't have magic or the like but there must have been some connection between worlds since otherwise legends about dragons and the like wouldn't exist in my world.my armor and weapons come from a tale that has been around for close to eighty years and when I was placed here I gained a few abilities from that tale. Levitation one of them. The other is a kind of sixth since that let's me know if someone is hiding something or is telling the truth. This also means I can since magic or the like as well. It also has the side effect of making it hard to show my emotions. Which explains why I'm not panicking about being in another universe. I just woke up when Luna here crashed into me so my sixth sense hadn't kicked in yet. Then once I told them discord was nearby we moved over here before he could arrive. I only know his name from when he was ranting while altering reality Yesterday. That's how I'm here I'm not a warrior but if I have to I will fight" I said making the three blink as the story finished.
"By the enchantments on your armor I can believe your story. There must have been a reason you were brought here" said starswirl.
"If we knew that it would be easy. But maybe it's so I can help protect this world. I mean there must be a large amount of demons in this world" I said.
"There were until I put them in tartarus now only discord runs free and these two still are not ready to face him" said starswirl.
"Well count on me to help three is better then two in a fight. I'm going to train with them just in case" I said constructing my inquisitor light saber and igniting the blades and I was surprised they resembled the night sky or space. They complimented my armor well. deactivating my weapon I put it away and nodded to the two princesses that I had their back. That was how I met the future rulers of equestria and the start of my journey as the grey Jedi of equestria.
Enter Nightmare Moon and near a thousand years later.
I sighed as I helped celestia do her paperwork. It had been close to three years since I met them and a lot had happened. After a year training with the princesses we found out starswirl was dying from old age. After his funeral the three of us confronted discord and like in the show he nearly gave us a crippling defeat so while I held him off with my skills with the force and my weapons celestia and Luna located the tree of harmony and used the elements of harmony to turn him to stone while I held him with the force. Sith that done we took a year to set up equestria before long some towns were being constructed by the inhabitants of the world.
But this year I felt something was wrong with Luna. She seemed to get more and more resentful as time went on. I was pretty much her only friend as she worked on her night quite well. Frankly I was worried about her. Celestia was as well but she didn't seem to know why. Luna was only a year younger then me while celestia was a full two years older then Luna making her only older then me by a year. Luna still wore her knight like armor as her royal garb while celestia switched her armor for a white royal dress. As for me I became their knight of the kingdom and my soldiers under my command are comprised of those I know to have force sensitivity and trained them in the way of the grey Jedi order but I renamed it the eclipse knights as we were neither Jedi or sith but a neutral party from those two fractions. I taught them about the history of both other fractions and how sacred making a light saber and how each one was designed was. Turned out the local gems were a good substitute for the energy crystals of the light sabers. This gave rise to using gems for spells and wards depending on how their used.
With that we were soon creating our own history and creed. Along side the day and night guard we were the protectors of the kingdom. I taught one thing to my subordinates that must be taken to heart for generations. That light and dark are two sides of the same coin and that balance is needed to keep them in harmony and if that balance changes it must be equaled out. That as eclipse knights we are the ones to keep the balance as needed and to be a last defence if all else fails. Soon our motto was 'Keep the balance to protect peace' that one was created by my second in command vanguard a griffon that I took in when she stumbled into the kingdom abandoned and abused. She sees me as a farther. And thanks to me we had carbonate tech so if she had to she would be able to survive if something happened to me. She was actually a midnight blue griffon that had silver wings and her head feathers were black. Her eye were amber but her feathers that was on top resembled hair and were naturally red like my cousins geo and senya. I think both of them would have liked her. Unlike the Jedi code or the sith code I just set three rules as or code. Never use the force to kill unless there is no choice, always try and keep violence to a minimum and finally to hold to the responcability we are given. Surprisingly this worked very well for us and the other guards started to follow the code as well.
It wasn't until a few months later did I realize what was going on with Luna. It was nightmare moon's debut as I was helping celestia plan on a safe place for the elements of harmony when Luna arrived. I should have saw the signs when she started rant in about how no one but me appreciated her night. And soon she transformed into her version of nightmare moon. She actually looked like this:
Honestly I liked Luna's original armor. But then came a deviation from this scene.
"Shadow you have been my best friend since we met but now I want to be more then that" said nightmare and I froze with celestia both of us thinking. 'Did she just confess her love?' I gulped and looked nervous then came something even more bizarre. She started to chase me around the room with hearts floating around. Celestia just stood there watching the odd scene stunned. " about time you told him how you felt but I think this was a bad time to tell him. I better help him out" mumbled celestia as she shook off the shock and flew before her transformed sister who snapped into her original mindset from the show and started to fight celestia. Suddenly nightmare moon nearly killed celestia when I blocked with my fully constructed light saber I was using a spare lightsaber I made for my blade builder set for my side weapon. As we clashed weapons and I quickly remembered that their weapons could withstand a light saber so this led to a spar long enough for celestia to get the elements and I gave her a look and a silent conversation went between us. She looked resigned and used the elements as I backed up and deactivated my weapons before the elements sent Luna to the moon but some of the energy hit me turning me into a statue in my last stance with my deactivated weapons. That day celestia wept before long vanguard went into carbonized state and together we waited out near a thousand years until a surge of magic freed me and I quickly freed vanguard from her carbonite seal. Heading to the source of the magic we found celestia with a nocked out eight year old purple unicorn. She kinda looked like this:
Honestly she look the same age as vanguard.
"Celestia! What in the world happened" I asked confused wondering how such a small child had enough magic to free me.
"Shadow your back! Young twilight here had a magic surge and hatched a baby dragon I had to calm her down so she doesn't cause any harm. The surge must have overrode the energy of the elements keeping you in statue form" said celestia.
"You think the elements chose new bearers?" I asked as vanguard yawned and curled up to the out cold twilight making me raise my eye at her.
"Something tells me those two are going to be the best of friends" I said blinking.
"Anyway shadow your eclipse knights are still around alibit the descendants of the ones you trained. The only one you still know is your daughter here. Also seems twilight has the force. Looks like your going to have to train her with me" said celestia.
"Where's the baby dragon we got to make sure it's alright before anything" I said. "Right here" said celestia pointing to the other side of twilight where a infant dragon was looking at me while sucking on the tip of his tail. In fact he looked exactly as in the show. Guess up to the teenager stage the dragons were already anthro enough to be the same for adult dragons that's something I'm going to need to see. And I knew with just a look that he was force sensitive.
"Looks like I'm helping the dragon as well. And according to my senses he has some of twilight's DNA in his own. Seems her magic got infused with his life force, in a way he's half pony. How that will effect him we will have to see" I said with a sigh felling that the next couple of years was going to be hectic. Been a while since I had a apprentice besides my adoptive daughter. Vanguard had desided to dress like asoka tano once I told her story to the little griffon. Asoka was her idol of the Jedi fraction. Her favorite of the sith was ventress which was ironic as both were rivals. I once caught her trying to design her uniform to be a mix of both modified to not restrict her wings. Well once she was older and I gave permission to build her own light saber.
I sighed as I finished crafting the wodden swords for the three trainees. Spike's had runes that protected it from his dragon flame. Of course that was for when he's old enough to learn. As I waited for vanguard to wake up I thought back to when celestia moved both of us to canterlot.
If was nearly five hundred years ago when celestia teleported into where we were left but she seemed a bit odd. Not entirely like herself. I knew what happened to Luna and us had effected her but it was like something happened that almost broke her. As we were being transported to canterlot her demeanor went from who I knew as celestia the warrior to her non battle persona almost permanently. As the years went by I noticed she only trained to stay minimally fit but on occasion I found her going by the spot we were at with nearly a full three layer cake. Then I saw she stopped training completely. How do I know she placed us in a training field in the castle grounds. The ones the guards used. Over the eons I would notice that the guards would have some potential but never reached it. Heck there was one I knew I had to talk to. A promicing unicorn with a talent for shields. Shining armor I think his name was.
It has been two weeks since I was freed and vanguard was awoken while twilight became celestia's personal student as well as my apprentice in the force. I had to teach her the history to catch her up with vanguard helping out. Soon enough the griffon and unicorn duo stood before me and vanguard looked excited to have a spar again.
"Okay you two time to see how good you are in basic swordplay. No magic allowed twilight this is pure physical work. This is going to help you out in the long run. By training you that magic is not to be relied on alone. Most unicorns tend to be weaker in physical strength because they get lazy by doing magic. In times of crisis magic is useful but your going to need stamina to even last in such times. What your going to be doing twilight is spar with vanguard here for the next few years to get you used to the exersize. This can also be a form of meditation to help you think on certain problems. And I'm certain vanguard has told you about light sabers. The building of one is a sacred rite for centuries. Until your ready you won't make one yet. As of now your the first I trained personally for centuries pick up your practice blade and begin. Vanguard teach her the basics and spar for two hours while I go speak with one of the guards about something" I said before finding shining armor watching the spar and I joined him.
"What brings you here cadet" I asked as vanguard blocked one of twilight's strikes.
"Just surprised my little sister is doing so well in this force thing. And vanguard while young is very skilled" said shining armor.
"Wait twilight is your sister? Hard to tell you are related. The only thing you have in domon is that double tone of your hair" I said surprised.
"Yep we are related. It's very rare that you can see a family resemblance in siblings here" said shining.
"Don't I know it looking back I had a hard time telling most of the day and night guards apart due to looking so identical I thought they were clone troopers in pony form" I said reminiscing.
"Clone troopers?" Asked shining.
"A army of clones of one guy with slight deviations. Original had no force sensitivity so it came as a surprise that two or three clones are force sensitive. My own armor here is actually based a bit off the clone trooper armor just remove the knight design. Almost impossible to tell them apart unless they have their helmets off. One confusing mess I'll tell you. Heck I think someone impersonating one was who sent me into this universe" I said thinking back. I really doubted it was the real captain Rex of the clone troopers who sent me here. Guy was a old man by rebels. Not the young guy who sent me here.
"I can see how you made that comparison" said shining armor as twilight blocked a slash by vanguard.
"Yep by the way I want to help you with your potential with shields" I said turning to him.
"Really" asked shining surprised.
"Have you ever tried creating a shield on your arm and tossing it at the enemy then catching it on the rebound? Someone used that fighting style back home in one of history's greatest events and with your shields you might take that style further then he did. I'll see about writing down the technique and you can go from there" I said making shining look at me surprised.
"You really think I can do it" asked shining.
"I saw your skill with forcefeilds I know you can do it. You can't be defensive without some offence to go with it. It's another balance that is absolute. Can't have one without the other. That's why the eclipse knights exist. To keep all forms of balance" I said imparting to shining a lesson.
"Your alright shadow" said shining.
" my real name is kage hikari, shadow light is just the translation to your language. But I'm used to being called that. Your sister fits the eclipse knights very well. With a name like twilight it was almost garenteed.it and dawn are the perfect blend of light and dark which is a balance. Don't worry I'm going to make sure she can handle herself and others" I said and shining relaxed.
"Okay time's up twilight your a quick learner but please continue to practice the movements until they are like second nature to you. Vanguard help her out as much as you can. But now it's getting late so pack up and let's head home" I said and the two children (though one was unknowingly centuries old the wonder of carbonite) nodded and went to put away their practice blades.
This continued for three years where the now twelve year olds added by a three year old spike who was going to watch was ready to learn the seven forms of light saber combat. I showed them the seven forms slowly at first so they can see and feel the movement before repeating in the normal pace for light sabers. When I was done I looked to the two.
"Remember practice the movements slowly then once you feel comfortable slowly increase the speed and repeat until you reach the standard speed I showed you. This is to help your reaction time and as I said before this is also a form of meditation. Though writing can also be one other form if you just want to vent out some emotions to clear your mind" I said with a pointed look o twilight who blushed and giggled nervously. vanguard smiled at her friend knowing how she got. Her magic studies were going well but I was still going to confront celestia about what happened to her soon.
I left them to practice and I went to locate celestia who had went over to have lunch. I sighed spotting the cake.
"That does it celestia we need to talk" I said visibly dragging her away from the cake as she went wide eyed with shock and I took her to the courtyard which was empty.
"What happened to you celestia you have been acting very differently for nearly 500 years now and frankly I'm worried I mean look at yourself your a shadow of the person I met so long ago" I said and I wasn't kidding she let herself go. Her muscle had become fat and her former slim waist was pudgy. She was a far cry from the princess knight I met when I arrived so long ago.
"I uh had a child but she was taken from me one night when I couldn't stay awake after raising luna's moon I looked everywhere but I couldn't find my daughter at all. My little polaris vanished without a trace. I was heartbroken that someone would take my little girl and vanish. Not long after that someone started up a sith fraction on the otherside of the planet. They haven't caused trouble but I'm worried about who would do such a thing" said celestia.
"Great talk about trouble that would mean someone back then betrayed the kingdom and not only took Polaris but also a force adept to start the sith. And where sith are formed Jedi are not far behind. Did any religious fanatics start up with some using the force" I asked.
"I believe so they call themselves the order of light. Somehow legends sprang up about how you helped us defeat discord and became a cult deity as someone only knew your last name and thought you are a Jedi. Honestly we both know your somewhere between the light and dark side of the force" sighed celestia.
"Kisama things are getting out of hand. I'm going to need to think a bit" I said but before I did I gave celestia a pointed look.
"Before I do so you need to get back into shape. If Polaris has your genetics she's still alive out there and it will take us some time to bring her back where she belongs. But you have to become the princess knight I first met so long ago before we can find her. Give her a true idea of who her mother is not a shadow of who you used to be. Also lay off the cake you maybe immortal but to much of that will have this effect on your body" I said and left celestia alone.
"You always knew just what to say huh brother" said celestia after a while and for the first time noticed the exact state of her body. Was this really the image her subjects see. What her daughter would see. With a fire that wasn't in her eyes in a long while celestia summoned her armor and winced noticing it barely fit on her and got back to training after so long. It was time she showed her subjects that she really was the goddess of the sun and not a ordinary princess. Her future brother in law while was a bit harsh was just what she needed to get her life back on track. In the coming years this decision would bring change in the future.
