A year has pasted since Ponyville was nearly destroyed by Solar's rampage. Solar, now the leader of the Solar Empire, helped out with the rebuilding of Ponyville. Some of the ponies still didn't trust he him fully yet. They all give nervous glaces at him when ever they saw him walking though town.
Later that day Solar came home to see a grey dragon with black scales.
"Cloudy Skies, Greetings old friend. Cloudy Skies, the leader of the dragons of Orange Valley, was Solar's best friend.
"Cloudy, this is a pleasant surprise." He said hugging his friend. Just then Rainbow came home with Tornado.
"Uncle Cloudy". Tornado ran over to him and hugged him.
"Hey squirt, how was your day"? Cloudy asked
Tornado gave her dad hug.
"It was okay. Mom took me to Cloudsdale to meet Spitfire." she replied
"How was that"? Cloudy asked.
"She is really nice, she gave me a tour of Clouds Dale and what mommy does with the Wonderbolts".
Rainbow walked in..
"Hi Cloudy, nice of you to stop by". Rainbow greeted the dragon with a smile.
Cloudy smiled back at the pegasus.
" I'm fine miss Dash, though my scouts are still missing, everything okay". Cloudy said
"Well I hope you find them soon".
"I do to".
"Tornado, why don't you go up stairs and get ready for bed". Rainbow said.
"Okay mom. Daddy can you tell me a bed time story".
Sure i'll be up in a minute".
She kissed her dad on the fore head and gave the dragon a big hug before she went up stairs.
"Well I better get back to my dragons. With everything going on, I can't be away for long. Good night you two". Cloudy said as he flew off towards the mountains.
Rainbow looked at Solar. She put her hooves around him.
"Don't worry. We'll get everything back to normal soon.".
Solar sighed.
"I hope so, I don't want cloudy to get involved".
"I do to. I love you and Cloudy more than anything". Rainbow said
She smiled and kissed him on the lips and walked up stairs to her room.
"I'll be waiting for you to cuddle with me".
Solar sighed.
Another knock came at the door.
"Come in". Solar said.
It was one of his eclipse guard ponies.
"Sorry to come here so late but Princess Twilight wishes to speak to you".
"It's ok and thank you". Solar replied
"Good night sir". The guard said
"Good night Shadow Wing".
Shadow closes the door and headed off back to his post.
Solar went to go see what Twilight wanted. His walk to the castle was quite. When he got to the castle, he can see Twilight was already waiting for him outside.
"Twilight you wanted to speak to me".
"Yes! how is your search for Pinkamena going"?
Solar just sighed.
"No luck. It's been a year and no pony has heard or seen since".
"I'm sure we will get a lead on her soon".
"I hope so Twilight is that all." Solar Said.
Yes good night Solar".
"Good night Twilight".
The Crystal Empire:
Topez, Ruby and Midnight were making there final checks for the night. They were about to check the last room when they heard what sounded like some pony scream in pain.
What was that"? Topez asked.
Ruby and I will go check it out Midnight Go make sure The Princess is safe".
The last guard saluted and flew toward Candace's room. Topez and Ruby got to were the scream came from, only to see six other guards brutally murdered. One guard threw up from the sight of the massacre.
"Who the hell did this"? Topez asked
They heard some pony giggled from behind them. They couldn't turn fast enough as there heads were sliced off. The last guard got to Candace's room the door was wide open. The room looked like a tornado went though it but Candace was no were to be found.
"Oh no! I have to tell Prince Shining Armor.
Canterlot ten minutes later:
Luna and Celesita were about to turn in for the night.
Good night sister". Celestia said to her younger sister.
"Good night Tia". Luna said.
Suddenly the room filled with smoke. Luna and Celestia covered there nuzzles but it was to late. They both pass out. A red pony emerges from the smoke wearing a gasmask. She picked up the two princess and walked off.
Solar was back home and went upstairs to read his daughter a bed time story, as he got to her room she was patiently waiting for him. He smiled and went to tucked her in.
"Daddy".
"Yes sweet heart:
"How come you have to wear that metal thingy on your paw"?
Well, I think it looks good on me". He lied.
He didn't want Tornado to know about the torture Pinkamena did to him. Expspeacilly since she was still out there. Solar kissed his daughter on the fore head and grabbed the book she had on her bed that she picked out. It was her favorite. After he was finished he kissed her on the fore head one last time, placed the book on the dresser next to the bed and tuck her in.
"I love you daddy".
"I love you to sweetheart".
She yawned and slowly closed her eyes and fell asleep. Solar quietly left the room and went to his room crawled in bed and cuddled with his wife and fell asleep himself.
The next morning Rainbow woke up to a bright new day with Solar sleeping on her chest. She smiled and kissed him on the forehead.
"Wake up sleepy head." Rainbow whispered in his ear.
Solar opened his eyes slowly stretched his body and yawned.
"Uhh! Why can't I have a whole day just cuddling with you," Solar moaned,
Looking up into the magenta eyes of his beautiful wife. Oh how he loved her eyes. Rainbow thought for a moment. Rainbow wasn't able to finish her thought as Solar kissed her on the lips and she accepted the kiss and pulled him down on top of her and they made out for a while. After five minutes of making out they broke the kiss and Solar laid down on the bed with Rainbow in is arms breathy heavily. Rainbow licked Solar's Paws, feeling his soft fur against her touge. She stopped licking for a moment and looked up at her husbands eyes.
" Honey,I have to tell something you". Rainbow said.
"Uhh" Solar just hummed.
"I'm pregnant". Rainbow said.
Solar just smiled.
Rainbow licked Solar's paw again earning a small moan. She started licking on his neck and he moaned a little more.
"I love you so bucking much Solar". Rainbow said
"I love you so much to Rainbow. Solar said looking in her eyes" Rainbow smile and nuzzle into his chest. They heard there daughter coming down the hall.
Tornado, who was now five years old, she walked into their room, a look of boredom across the young filly’s face.
"Mommy, daddy, time to get up," said Tornado.
Solar looked like he was still sleeping, she approached him slowly so she didn't wake him. Rainbow had a grin on her face. Tornado jumped in the air not expecting her father to grab her and start tickling her. she giggled unconllterably.
"Mom, help me please". Tornado said laughing.
Rainbow just watched the two most importal ponies in her life have a little fun.
"Alright you two. Time to go eat some breakfast Tornado. Daddy has got to go to work".
"Awww, I wanted to spent the day with both of you today". Tornado said pouting
"Tell you what, you be good for mommy today, I will Take you to Orange Valley to see the dragons and uncle Cloudy this weekend".
Tornado smiled widely.
“I would love that daddy”. replied the enthusiastic filly as she hugged her father.
Rainbow just chuckled,
“Alright sweetheart, want to ride on my back?" Solar asked.
Tornado jumped atop his back and they went down stairs.
As they were eating there breakfast a knock came at the door.
"I wonder who that could be"? Rainbow asked.
Solar went to answer the door to see a orange pony wearing a Stetson.
"Hey Apple Jack! What are you doing here so early"? Rainbow asked, confused yet happy to see her friend.
Applejack looked at Rainbow Dash and Solar, a look of concern and worry spread across her face.
"Umm, Solar! You need to get to the castle asap, and don’t ask why, I’ll tell you soon enough,” demanded the orange pony.
Solar nodded.
He said his goodbyes to his daughter and wife and left with the farm mare.
"So want happened that I have to come to the castle so early?" asked Solar.
"You will find out when we get there. Twilight didn't give much reasoning except that it was urgent" AJ explained it the best she could, but, to be honest, she didn’t know
"Were here Twilight!” shouted Applejack, who was panting from galloping there.
"So, what's going on?" Solar asked, inquisitive to what was going on in Equestria at this moment in time.
"It appears war has come to our land. Last night, some on my royal guards were brutally attacked by a unknown pony last night." Shining explained in as much detail as he could before being close to crying, or as he called it, liquid pride.
“Does the princess’s know of this?” asked Applejack, needing to know more information.
The white coated unicorn bowed his head to face the floor, “That’s the problem, there, gone.”
Some cave near everfree.
Celestia feat cold air pass though her body.
"aghh! Where I'm I?” Celestia asked nobody as she looked around to find out they were in a freezing cold cave. Shards of ice were scattered on the floor, being careful not to step on them, She heard what sounded like somepony waking up, only to see it was her sister, fellow ruler of Equestria and the princess of the night. She walked over to her sister and nuzzled her shivering neck
"Are you alright sister?" asked Celestia, worried for the welfare.
"I am certainly not in top form, though I am weak at the moment, and I can see thou has lost their colour. So I suppose I am not the only one, I thought I was going crazy," Luna said softly, letting a small chuckle escape her mouth at her last words that she had spoken.
"Where's Cadence?" Celestia asked, inquisitive to find her niece.
Celestia looked around and found Cadence lying on the floor her hooves chained just like they were. She walked up to her and nuzzled her.
"I'm alright auntie Celestia". Cadence stated.
It was Celestia noticed someone was watching them from the shadows.
"Show yourself". Celestia demand.
"Why does every pony have to ruin my fun"?
Pinkamena the three princesses over the head with a baseball bat knocking them out.
Canterlot:
Solar was giving his guards there orders for the search. Waiting for Twilight Sparkle to announce the start of the search for the three lost princesses. She approached the group of ponies, a look of determination, obviously praying to find them as soon as possible, spread upon her face,
"Alright, are you all ready?" Twilight asked, ready to get it started and to know if their rulers location was, Everypony present can see she was worried for them.
"Yeah, we'll split up into two separate squads. I'll take Fluttershy, Rarity and Applejack with me. We'll head into the Ever Free Forest, and Twilight, you Pinkie and your brother will search White Tail Forest. I'll also have some of my guards join the search in other areas with Luna's night guards, Celestia's Solar guards and Shining's royal guards. If you happen to find Pinkamena. Do not ingage her. You are to alert to Shining, Twilight or me threw message, do I make myself clear." explained Solar,
They all nodded as they parted and left in their squads went their separate ways to search for their lost rulers.
The sun was going down when Solar, Fluttershy, Apple Jack and Rarity made to the Ever Free Forest. Solar was behind with Fluttershy while Rarity and AJ were in front. Fluttershy always liked to be around Solar. She thought of him as her big brother and he felt the same. Solar kept glancing around feeling like some pony was watching them.
"Solar, are you alright?" the shy yellow Pegasus asked said in her soft, soothing voice.
He was abruptly snapped out of his train of thought, and brought his head from looking into the shadows and turned his face to look t Fluttershy.
"Oh! Heh, yeah I'm fine Fluttershy. Just thinking about stuff." he said nervously, small, unnoticeable beads of sweat rolled from his forehead. All of this stuff was quite stressful, and was too much to take in all at once.
Applejack’s strong, southern accent interrupted there short conversation.
"Solar, why don't you and Fluttershy take lead from here?” she asked with her thick country accent.
They nodded as Fluttershy and Solar took the lead in the front of them as they all went deeper into unpredictable forest.
After many hours of searching almost every part of the forest, the sun was starting to set and it was getting dark, so they decided to rest inside of an empty cave for the night. They managed to get a fire going and they sat next to it.
Solar walked out of the cave and Applejack saw him and followed. Solar sat down and looked up at the stars.
Applejack walked up to solar and sat down next to him. She looked up at the bright balls of light in the beautiful night, along with the moon shining brightly.
"You all right sugar cube"? Applejack asked
Solar just continued to stare up at the stars in the night sky, sighed then answered.
"You know something Applejack, when I was younger, my grandmother always told me, if I ever was stressed out, that I should just look up at the stars and it will calm you down, it always seems to work. With everything that has happen and the things to come. I need it”.
Applejack walked up to Solar and laid her head on him, “She sounded like a great grandmother to you Solar.”
He sighed, “She certainly was.” A single tear fell from his eye, “She definitely was…” He whispered into the night sky.
Applejack yawned.
"Well Ah gonna hit the hay. You should as well".
Solar nodded and they headed to the tents.
Solar awoke to nothing but darkness.
"Hello! any pony there"?
Three ponies appeared from the shadows.
"Who are you". Solar asked
We are the three gates guardians of The Equinox World.
"I'm Shadow Cutter. I''m the guardian of The Gate of Shadows." said a jet black pony.
A second pony stepped up.
I'm Sky Dancer. I'm the Guardian of The Gate of Light".
The third and final pony stepped forward.
"I'm Blood Born. I'm the guardian of The Gate of Tartarus".
"Why are you here"?
"We are here to tell you that Pinkamena is really a Equinox pony".
Solar looked confused.
Sky sighed.
"To make it easier for you to understand Solar, you have to sent back the Equinox pony knew as Zalgy Cakes".
"How do you know my name"?
The jet black pony spoke up.
"You are the chosen one. It must be you and you alone who will defeat Zalgy". Shadow said
"How can I do that"?
Sky dug in her saddle bag and toke a necklace with and up side down cross.
"You must place this on her when shes at a weaken state. It is her cutie mark. But i warn you. It might kill you".
We have to sent you back now. Good luck Solar".
With a flash of light they were gone.
Solar awoke with Rarity and Fluttershy cuddled up in his fur. He looked down and saw the necklace that Sky Dancer gave him..
"It was no dream". He thought to him self.
He noticed that Rarity and Fluttershy were waking up. He nuzzled them on the neck.
"Good morning Solar darling. Were did you get that necklace from".
Fluttershy yawned and smiled at her brother.
"Good morning Solar".
Applejack entered there tent.
"You guys need to get up. Two royal guards are here".
White Tailed Forest ten minutes earlier.
Shining, Twilight and Pinkie stumbled across a dark cave deep in the forest. Twilight lite her horn and Shining and Pinkie followed. As they walked down the cave they could hear what sounded like laughter. Twilight knew that laugh, they found were Pinkamena was hiding out.
"We need to contact the others to let them know we found Pinkamena". Twilight said.
"Already on I sent two on my royal guards to tell them". Shining replied.
They exited the cave to wait for there arrival.
Moment later in a flash of light Solar, Applejack, Rarity and Fluttershy appeared with the two royal guards.
"Hey guys we found were Pinkamena is hiding". Twilight said
Twilight noticed the strange necklace on his neck.
"Were did you get that necklace from Solar"? Pinkie asked.
"I'll was gonna wait to tell you when we were all tougher. I'll tell you everything".
Solar explained everything he was told about the Equinox Pony Zalgy Cake. Twilight was quiet interested about the whole story.
"So, Pinkamena is actually one of those Equinox Ponies and if we don't sent her back our worlds will fall apart"? Shining asked.
Solar nodded.
"Zalgy Cakes is the Equinox Pony that has been Pinkamena this whole time".
"So, how are we gonna sent her back to her world"? Twilight asked.
"That is what this necklace is for. It is her cutie mark. I have to place it on her neck when she is in a weaken state to sent her back and close the rip. I'm the only one can do it. But I want Rarity and Twilight to assent me. In case i need there help. The rest of you will stay here. We'll bring the princesses back safely. I promise".
They all nodded.
"Do be careful you three". Shining said
With that Twilight, Solar and Rarity entered the cave.
As the three were walking thought the cave they heard that laugh again.
"We are getting close. Don't let your guard down". Solar said.
Rarity and Twilight nodded. They came to what looked like a chamber and saw the three princesses chained up to the wall and floor. They looked pale. Twilight ran to them as they woke up.
Twilight. Thank goodness your here".
Were is Pinkamena"?
The princesses weren't able to answer when Pinkamena lounged at them. She was met by Solar kicking her with his back paws. She flew back but flipped in the air to land on her hooves.
"Twilight, Rarity, you guard the princesses. I'll take care of Pinkamena".
The two unicorns nodded and conjured and shield spell.
Pinkamena got back to her hooves. She lounged at Solar again but was met with a kick to the gut.
"Uh. Son of a bitch. Why can't I touch you"? Pinkamena said grinned her teeth..
It was then she noticed the necklace on his neck.
Her eyes widen and a red aura surrounded her body. Her eyes turned white and she levitated off the ground. Her body started to transform. Her fur went from pink to blood red. her cutie mark changed from the three balloons from the upside down cross. Her mane went from pink to blood red. In a flash of light she was now Zalgy Cakes. When she opened her eyes she looked at the wolf with pure rage. Solar shivered at the sight her eyes. They were black as night. She stared to laugh. But this laugh creeped the hell out of the wolf. It was like the devils laugh.
"No more playing around. TIME TO GET SERIOUS". Zalgy yelled
Solar toke his fighting standic as Zalgy changed at him. He jumped out of the way but Zalgy pulled him down by his tail. They tumbled to the ground until Zalgy was on top of him. She then started punching him in the face. Solar tried to get her off, but her hind hooves pinned his back hooves. He was stat to black out when he found the opening he needed. He was able to reach his free paw and scratch her in the face. and he was able to kick her off him. He slow stood up his face banged up nose bleeding, but it didn't bother him. He couldn't let the pain bother him. He had to end this once and for all. He charged at Zalgy slamming in to her hard enough to sent her to the wall she was in front of collapsing it on top them.
"Solar". Twilight yelled.
The cave went silent for a moment before a red light blew the rock away. Solar and Zalgy were starting to show faligte. Solar's paws were bleeding badly. His face was soalen up. Zalgy let out a loud roar and tackled Solar to the ground.
"I Tried of playing with you. It's time to end this".
Zalgy put both her hooves around his throat and started to choke the life out of him. Solar despritly tried to push her off put to no avole. His breath leaving him. Solar's sight started to fade. He thought of everything that this pony his done to him. His daughter his second child.
Two days earlier.
Solar awoke to his wife smiling at him.
"Uh! Good morning beautiful".
Rainbow lied on top of him and drove in for a deep kiss. How he loved the way she tasted. There touges dancing. Her hoof trailed down between his legs. They noticed Tornado was watching them. Rainbow nearly flew off the bed.
"Eww"!
"How long were you standing there". Rainbow asked
She had a bright red blush across her face.
"UMM! I don't know". Tornado said.
Solar placed a paw on rainbow smiled and grabbed Tornado and tickled her. He loved hearing his daughters cute laughter.
"Tornado go and get ready for school". Rainbow said with a bit of anger in her voice
"But mom".
"No buts".
Tornado huffed and went to her room to get ready for school. Solar looked to Rainbow and saw she was hiding her face in a pillow. Solar nuzzled her.
"I didn't know she was in here. i was about have a little fun with you. I yelled at her".
Solar sighed.
"I'll go talk to her".
Solar walked to Tornadoes room. As he entered he saw she was crying in her pillow.
Solar nuzzled her.
Daddy is mommy mad at me"?
Solar hugged Tornado tight and let her cry in his fur.
"No, she's not mad. She's just stressed out. That's what being pregnant does to someone".
He looked in her eyes and wiped the tears off her face.
"After school How about we hangout and have fun".
She smiled and finished getting ready for school.
Present.
Solar feat his strength return. He kicked Zalgy off him. He got to his feet panting heavily trying to get his breath back.
"This is gone on for to long. I have to finish this before she kills me". Solar thought to him self.
Zalgy got back on her hooves. She didn't have time to react when Solar stabbed her though the chest with his sword. Solar than placed the necklace on her. The necklace started to glow.
"NOOOOO". Zalgy screamed. Her body started to get sucked in the necklace. Solar's body fell to the ground after the portal was shut. Twilight, Rarity, Pinkie and Shining ran over to him.
"He's cold and not breathing". Twilight said.
"We need to get him to the hospital". Shining said.
He teleported them back to Pony Ville general.
Moments later they appeared at the hospital.
He needs serious medical attanion" Twilight yelled
Dr. Hooves ran in and Nurse Red Heart toke him to the ER. Dr Hooves grabbed the chest puddles.
"1,2,3, Clear straight line. 1,2,3 Clear, still straight line. C'mon c'mon. not now".
Twilight, Rarity, Fluttershy, Applejack and Pinkie was watching with tears falling from there face. Rainbow and Tornado ran in the room.
"1,2,3 clear". still straight line. Dr. Hooves put the puddles down. Closed his eyes. A tear fell from his face.
Rainbow, Scootalo and Tornado's tears were pour from there eyes.
"Daddy, you promised me you would hangout with me. Don't leave daddy I love you".
Later Rainbow, Tornado and Scootalo stayed with Solar's body. Twilight and Shining and Applejack watched from the door of the room.
"Do you have that spell done yet"? Applejack asked.
Twilight sighed.
"I don't know if it will work".
Just then a stange firuge appeared and entered the room.
"Hey stop who are you". Twilight asked.
"I'm here to help. Let me pass". The pony said
Why should we trust you". Rainbow said.
Just watch".
The pony enter the room and trotted over to Solar's body. Her horn started to glow. She touched his chest and her horn glowed brighter.
Solar i know you can't hear me. But thank you for bring Zalgy back. Shes back to her happy self. I'll give you life to repay you".
Suddenly Solar's heart started to beat. He started breathing. After Dimmen Light was done she disappeared. Rainbow ran to him. He start to wake up. Rainbow held him to her chest.
"Solar, don't leave me please. i love you".
"I'll never leave you. i love you too".
Rainbow's eyes widen and she looked down at her husbands beautiful blue eyes looking at her.
Hey tornado".
"Daddy".
Solar got of the bed and imminently feat dizzy and his smoacth started to turn. Rainbow let him lean on her.
"Maybe you should take it easy hon".
Solar nodded and fell back to the bed.
"Rainbow". The wolf said in a soft voice.
Rainbow looked to her husband.
"Can you turn the light off. My eyes really hurt and i feel like i'm gonna get sick".
"Sure, do you want anything else"?
"Water".
Rainbow lift the room while Tornado stayed with him. As Rainbow exited the room and he saw Twilight and Applejack waiting patiently.
"He's okay, just really tried. He feels sick".
A few days had by and Solar's heath didn't improve. He hadn't eat in day and Rainbow was getting really worried. Twilight made a decision to call princess Celestia and Luna for help.
"Well he was brought back from the dead. For the second time I may remind you". Celestia
Solar was asleep peacefully in Rainbow's arms.
Oh pour dead i hope he gets better". Rarity said.
We all do sugar cube". Applejack said.
Rainbow being seven months pregnant was one thing. But having to worry about Solar's health toke it's toll on her. Solar had to be put in a machine to keep him alive cause a week earlier he almost died from lack of oxygen. Rainbow was at-minted to the hospital herself cause she was near her due date.
"Do you need anything Rainbow". Fluttershy asked.
I'm fine Fluttershy thank you for being here".
"A bright red blushed cover Fluttereshy's face.
"Umm your welcome. i wouldn't wantr to miss the birth of my best friend son".
"Ugghhh shit i think the baby coming". Rainbow yelled
Fluttershy pushed the button to get Nurse Red Heart in the room.
"C'mon push".
After a few tension minutes a beautiful wolf male with black fur was in Fluttershy's arms.
"Oh, Rainbow. He's looks like Solar. What do you want to name him"?
"Lighting Dash".
Later the hospital was quite, a cloaked figure sneak in and went to the machine that Solar was in. She put her hooves to the glass.
"Solar. Solar".
"Why are you here"?
"I'm here to give you back the part of your soul that was trapped in the necklace when you used on me". Pinkamena said
She took the necklace off her neck and place to the glass. Pinkamena started to chant something Solar couldn't understand. The necklace started to glow. In a bright flash, Solar shot his eyes open. Pinkamena opened the machine for him to get out. Pinkamena couldn't look him in the eyes. She was surprised when she feat the wolf hugging her.
"Why are you hugging me after I killed you twice"?
"Why did you come back"?
A tear fell from her face.
"Thank you".
Solar went to find were his wife and friends were. He juster ed for Pinkamena to follow him. She followed. He found Fluttershy asleep in the waiting room with the others.
He nuzzled Fluttershy. She slowly opened her eyes and nearly screamed at who she saw smiling at her.
"Ohh! my Solar you alright". Fluttershy hugged him tightly and cried in his fur.
"Girls wake up".
They woke up superseded to see Solar wake awake.
Solar darling. But how"? Rarity said.
Solar waved his paw for he guest to enter. The five friends looked to were he was pointing and saw Zalgy nervously enter. The five toke a protected stance but Solar stopped them.
"Girls, she saved me. Turns out part of my soul was trapped in her necklace.
The five backed down.
"I'm really sorry for what i did to all of you. You don't have to forgive me. I just wanted to apologize". Pinkamena said.
I forgive you". They all said.
Pinkamena then disappeared back to her world.
They five friend all came into hug there wolf friend.
"Oh Solar do you wanna see you new born son and Rainbow"? Fluttershy asked.
Solar nodded.
"Follow me".
Solar followed the yellow Pegasus and there others followed to. The entered the room were Rainbow was. Solar saw his beautiful wife holding a black wolf in her hooves. Solar walked up to his sleeping wife. He nuzzled her. She started to wake up.
"So,Solar, is that you"?
The wolf chuckled.
"Who else won't it be".
Rainbow hugged him tightly. She smiled.
"Solar meet your son Lighting Dash".
