Starlight walked to the window of her apartment, looking out at the city and letting out a sigh. She then placed her arms on the windowsill and rested her head. Her ears then perked before her door burst open, revealing a white mare with long, yellow hair and a wide smile.

"The purple unicorn rolled her eyes and let out a light chuckle. "Hey, Surprise..." she said, before looking out the window again.

The white mare tilted her head before walking over to the mare, putting her hands on her shoulders. "What's wrong?"

Starlight hesitated before sighing. "Well... I figured out how to time-travel, but... I can't go back and save my parents..."

"You finally learned how to time-travel?!" Surprise asked with a wide smile as she spun the mare around to face her. Her smile soon faded as she cleared her throat. "Um... I mean, uh..." she muttered, her tone softening. "Sorry... But, why not?"

The unicorn eyed the floor before closing her eyes. "Because, if I go back in time and save them... I'd have no need to go back and save them in that timeline... thusly creating a paradox... which would cause time to reset... and put me right back here... before I save them..."

"Riiiiiight..." Surprise said, getting it. "The reason for going back must remain, yeah? No need to go back and save them or learn how to time-travel if they're alive..."

"Yeah..." the purple mare said as she walked away, folding her arms in sadness. "I have the power to save them... but, I can't..." She then sat down on the couch and crossed her legs.

Surprise rubbed the back of her neck before walking over to the couch to join her. "Um... Lately, I haven't been very good at... feelings..." she said as she sat beside the unicorn. "but, if you need someone to talk to..."

Starlight eyed her with a small smile and sniffled. "Thanks..." She then cleared her throat and wiped her eyes. "Well, enough about me... How're you holding up?"

The white mare hesitated as she looked away. "Well... I'm managing..."

"I'm sorry it didn't work out between you two..."

Surprise shook her head. "She just had shit to deal with, is all..."

Starlight smiled and patted her leg. "We still on?" She asked. "The plan?"

The earth pony hopped to her feet and inhaled deeply. "Yes. We are. There's still some work that needs to be done but I think I'm onto something." She then began making her way towards the door. "No time to lose. I should get back to work."

Starlight thought for a moment before standing up. "You came here even though the plan wasn't finished?"

The white mare stopped at the door, her back to Starlight. "I just... wanted to give you an update..."

"No..." the unicorn said, slowly walking towards her. "That's not it... Remember, it's me you're talking to..."

Surprise hesitated before turning to face her, a few tears in her eyes. "I-I didn't wanna be alone..." she said with a slight whimper.

Starlight gasped and quickly pulled her into a hug. Hugging back, the white mare sniffled and did her best to hold back any more tears. About a minute went by before the two slowly broke the hug, staring into each other's eyes. Then, without a word, the two dove in for a kiss.

15 Years Later...

Aria flew down the street, her tail knocking into Sylk, Inc., causing the whole building to shake.

"What the hell?" Asked Tresemme, looking around as a light fell from the ceiling, crashing beside her.

The turquoise mare took the distraction to elbow her in the chest, making her grunt and let go as the mare took off toward the elevator. The security guards raised their guns to fire but a piece of debris fell from above and landed on them, crashing through the catwalk and knocking Tresemme off her feet. Stumbling to try and find her footing, she was thrown over the railing by a piece of debris which struck the side of the catwalk. Letting out a yell, she fell down into the green chemicals, sinking to the bottom of the tank.

When the turquoise mare reached the elevator, she turned around with a gasp, hearing her sister yell. She may have tried to forcefully inject her with a life-threatening chemical, but she was still her sister. Wiping a tear away, she heard the elevator ding and she entered.

One of the security guards stationed below where all the controls were began to bark orders. "Someone, quick! Tip over the vat!"

The floor was covered with grates so any spill wouldn't pool up. Right after the guard announced that, one ran over to a control booth and pulled a lever. All the remaining guards, which now totaled five, ran up the stairs and onto the catwalks as there was a metallic clang. Soon, the vat that Tresemme fell into began to tip over. The chemicals inside poured out and spilled into the grates. When the vat had tipped all the way over, the mare spilled out with the liquid, rolling across the grate as the liquid she was in drained away.

Afterwards, one of the guards pushed a button on the wall and the sprinklers came on, washing away the remaining liquids. As the floor cleared, another guard, a yellow mare, ran down the stairs and pulled off her shades.

"Miss Tresemme, ma'am?" She asked, kneeling down beside the purple mare.

Tresemme let out a cough, some of the liquid bursting from her mouth and fell through the grate. Soon, she let out a soft laugh, followed by a giggle. "What a rush," she said, before she looked up at the mare with wide-eyes. Her hair was now several tentacle-like appendages rather than strands of hair like it used to be. One of those tentacles shot up and wrapped around the yellow mare's neck, making her choke with eyes wide in fright. "Who are... you?"

"T-Tresemme, ma'am," the mare choked out. "I-It's me... Don't you recognize me?"

The purple mare tilted her head, almost feral-like, before she pulled the mare close, forcing her to her knees with a gasp. "S... Sunny?" She asked, her wide eyes staring into the yellow mare's. "Sunny Skies."

The mare nodded, before Tresemme slowly stumbled to her feet, her tentacle-hair releasing Sunny. Shaking her head, she rubbed her forehead and looked around. "Wait wait wait," she said, slowly turning all the way around as she took in her surroundings. "Wait, it's... all coming back to me..."

Sunny got to her feet and rubbed her neck. "Are you... okay?"

Tresemme quickly looked over at the mare before rushing up to her and grabbing her shoulders. "I've never... felt... better," she cooed, letting out a giggle. "I-I feel like I can do anything..." A wide grin spread across her face. "Who needs some stupid business deal when I can just... take the money?"

"Take it?" Asked Sunny. "That isn't exactly legal..."

"That isn't exactly legal," Tresemme mocked in a baby voice before slipping behind Sunny and gripping her shoulders a little harder. "If I recall... you didn't think twice when I asked you to kidnap my sister, Oreal, did you?"

"That was... different..." Sunny said, not turning around, her heart rate increasing in speed. "It was covert. If you rob the bank, you'll attract the attention of the Elementals..."

"The Elementals?" Asked Tresemme, before letting out a laugh, wrapping her left arm round the yellow mare. "The purple unicorn who visited me?" She then picked up Sunny and used her hair tentacles to grab onto the catwalk above and hoist herself up. "They can't stop me like this..." she cooed, setting Sunny down.

"They have guns..." the mare pointed out. "And magic."

Tresemme smiled and let out a giggle. "Mmm... Then, we'll have to think of something... so I can eliminate the Elementals..."

"Whatever you say, ma'am," Sunny replied with a light smile.

The purple mare swooped in front of her, getting face-to-face. "Sunny..."

"Uh... Yes, ma'am?" She asked, a little freaked out by how fast her boss had moved and at how close she was. Any closer and they'd be kissing.

"I like you... I want you to my personal guard."

Sunny hesitated before nodding. "Alright... If that's what you want...

"Good," Tresemme cooed, taking a step back. "First things first, then. Come with me to my room upstairs. I need dry clothes... and a bath."

A blush crept across Sunny's face. "Uhh..."

Applejack and Pinkamena kept firing out the window, trying to hit Aria.

"This is getting us nowhere!" AJ yelled, frustrated. "We have to get them away from the buildings. I don't want a stray bullet hitting anyone..."

Tresemme and Sunny arrived in her room across from her office. One wall was a window, looking out at the city. Gunshots and monstrous screeches could be heard in the distance.

"Someone's having fun out there," Tresemme cooed, before chuckling, walking passed the window towards her rather spacious bathroom.

Her bedroom, itself, was rather large. It was pretty empty apart from a bed, dresser, large HD TV, and a nice carpet. The bathroom had a shower big enough for two with sliding glass doors. On the other side, a few feet away, was a bath tub big enough for four. Money well spent.

Stepping in, she began to disrobe. Sunny turned away as she heard clothes hit the floor. Normally, the boss liked her privacy but the chemicals seemed to have altered her mind. She didn't seem to care about anything and seemed a little insane from all the laughing she did. Tresemme was not known for her laughter.

"Ah, much better," the purple mare cooed as she used her hair to open the shower door and stepped in, turning the water on. "Care to join me?"

Sunny blushed more and kept her back to her boss. "Um... I'm good, thanks..."

Midnight turned a corner at an intersection before Adagio came into view in the distance.

"There's that bitch," Twilight growled, holding up her gun as she put her window down. Leaning out, she fired a few rounds at the siren.

"I'm not sure," the yellow mare replied, stepping up beside her. "But, if it's a threat to the city, which it sounds like it is... the Elementals are fighting it."

"The Elementals?" Tresemme asked. "Hmm... Because of their fight, I have this new power..." she cooed, before putting her arm around Sunny, yanking her close as the yellow mare gets a face full of side boob. "Perhaps I should thank them personally..."

"After you find a way to counter their magic," Sunny reminded, seemingly not minding her boss' tit in her face.

Suddenly, there was a knock at the door. Letting out a growl, the purple mare let go of Sunny and used her hair to swing to her closet. Continuing to use her hair, she quickly opened it and pulled out a long leather jacket with a waist tie, slipping it on. Dropping to the floor, she tied the waist tie as she walked to the door.

"What?!" She yelled as she yanked the door open, seeing one of her male guards. "I am trying... to relax! I've had a pretty... ffffffucked up day!"

"A-Apologies, ma'am..." the guard said, taking a step back. "But... there's a mare here who says she can help you... with... something..."

Tresemme hesitated before tilting her head in confusion. "What?"

"I don't know, ma'am. She said you had a problem she could help with."

The mare thought for a moment before looking back at Sunny, who still stood by the window. Looking back at the stallion, she nodded. "Send her up."

Starlight walked up to the docks, wearing shorts and a light blue shirt with open vest as her eyes scanned the area until she saw Flora. "There you are. As advertised..."

Sniffling, she reached into her pocket and pulled out a gun. "And, there it is," Starlight cooed with a smile, raising her hand to prevent the suicide.

Letting out a gasp, Flora tried to pull the trigger, only it wouldn't budge. Pulling the gun away from her head to look it over, she saw a light blue glow over the trigger.

"What the hell?" She asked, trying to pull it again.

"I don't think that's what you really want..." Starlight said as she started moving towards her.

"Huh?" Asked the green mare, turning around to see Starlight. "Wh-Who are you?"

"Name's Starlight," the purple mare cooed, before ripping the gun out of the green mare's hand with her magic and catching it in her own. Looking it over, she shook her head. "There's a much better way to solve your problem," she cooed, before slowly looking up at Flora as she stepped up to her. "Avenge your brother."

The green mare sniffled and wiped her eyes. "A-Avenge him?" She asked. "Wh-What do you mean? How?"

Starlight smirked and began to circle the mare "By killing Twilight, of course. She is, after all, responsible. If she had been faster, actually thought things through before rushing in... your brother could've been saved..."

Flora let out a shuddered gasp, looking down at the floor. "Twilight's fault?"

"You can't tell me you haven't blamed her for it."

Flora's eyes narrowed as her hands clenched into a fist. "I've blamed her for it since it happened..." she said through clenched teeth. Looking up at Starlight as she circled back around front to face her. "But, I'm not strong enough to face her."

A devious grin spread across Starlight's face. "Not... as you are..." she cooed. "But... I have a way to make you stronger than her. It'll just take some time to get what I need. If you hold off killing yourself, I'll give you your chance at revenge." Holding out the gun, Flora slowly took it and holstered it.

"If you can really make me strong enough to kill her..." Flora said, anger in her eyes and hope in her heart. "I'll kill her..."

Starlight gave her a pat on the shoulder before walking away. "Glad to hear it," she said, grinning evilly.

Flora thought for a moment before running after her. 'Wait," she said, making the mare stop and look over her shoulder. Slowing to a stop behind her, Flora asked, "So, what do I do until then?"

Turning around to face her, Starlight smiled. "Just be normal. Stay as you were and don't draw attention to yourself. I will return to you at a later date with either the means in which you may exact your revenge.. or a progress update."

Letting out a sigh, Flora nodded and crossed her arms. "I wish I had it now..."

Stepping up to her, Starlight put a hand on her shoulder. "I know you want her dead, but you must have patience. If you try for her now, you will lose. And, with how Twilight's been acting, she may even kill you."

Nodding, Flora gave her a light smile. "Yeah, she's been out of control lately..."

"Avoid attention and stay patient," Starlight summarized. "Can you do that?"

Smiling wider, Flora nodded. "Of course I can."

"Attagirl," Starlight said with a chuckle, turning and walking away. "Until we meet, we shall stay apart to avoid suspicion."

"Alright!" Flora called out to her, before reaching into her pocket and pulling out the picture of her brother. "Our reunion has to be put on hold, baby brother. Your big sister's got some work to do..."

A Siren's Apology

The three sirens stopped in front of the partially-destroyed lab. They wore the outfits given to them by Candy. Adagio had on a black tube top with an open black vest over it and long, thin black pants. Aria wore a white shirt the stopped above her belly and denim shorts. "So, this is our home..." Aria said, crossing her arms.

"Yeah..." the orange siren replied, placing a hand on her hip. "Probably shouldn't have smashed it up..."

Sonata eyed them both before stepping up behind them and wrapping her arms around them. "Come on, you two. Twilight said she'd have this place fixed up for us."

"Yeah," Aria said, swatting Sonata's hand away as she made her way towards the lab. "After the city is fixed up."

"It's our fault," the blue siren replied as Adagio went to join the purple siren. "We trashed the city... Or, at least, a few buildings..."

"Well, I don't know about you two," Adagio started, stretching her arms above her head. "but, I need a rest after the day we've had..." With that, she opened the front door, which fell off its hinges and crashed to the ground. Letting out a sigh, the orange siren entered the building.

As Aria began to follow, Sonata called out, "I'll just... go for a walk!" Giving her a wave, Aria disappeared inside. Turning around to face the street, the siren exhaled deeply. "Okay... Where to go..."

Sonata headed down the sidewalk before stopping at the corner. In front of her was the Elementals' hotel. Taking a deep breath, she started to make her way across the street. She stopped instantly when the front door opened and Twilight stepped out, cell phone to her ear. Quickly veering to the left, Sonata kept her head low to avoid detection. Taking a quick glance over at the hotel, she let out a soft gasp when she saw Twilight watching her. Slowing to a stop, the two just stared at each other.

To the siren's surprise, the unicorn held up her hand and waved her over. Hesitating for a second, or two, Sonata looked both ways before starting to cross. Suddenly, she stumbled back as a gray car zoomed passed her, swerving a little to avoid hitting her. Turning to watch the car drive away, she saw the licence place; GetCrunk. Looking back at Twilight, she continued across the street before stepping onto the sidewalk.

When she did, Twilight slowly walked towards her with her arms crossed in front of her chest. "Sonata, right?" She asked. "You... okay?"

The siren nodded and let out a sigh. "Yeah, but... that licence plate, though..."

"GetCrunk?" Twilight asked with a light chuckle. "Yeah... I've seen worse..." She then lifted her chin slightly. "So... What brings you here?"

"Nothing, just..." Sonata began, rubbing her left arm with her right hand. "I figured I could... get to know you and the others... Make amends," she added with a light smile.

Twilight hesitated before giving her a nod. "Alright... Come with me..." she said, turning and heading towards the front doors.

Sonata followed her inside and looked around. "Where's, uh... Chrysalis and... Fluttershy?"

Twilight stopped and turned to face her. "You're not going near them," she said sternly. "Unless you forgot, you also hypnotized everyone here and almost got them all killed."

The blue siren nodded, her smile fading a little. "I know... That's why I'm here. I came to apologize..."

Twilight looked her dead in the eyes, hesitating before turning and walking towards the elevator. "This way..."

The two stepped up to Fluttershy and Chrysalis' room.

"Here," Twilight said, stepping aside. "Go ahead and knock."

Sonata nodded and walked up to the door, raising her fist with slight hesitation, before knocking. A few seconds later, the door opened, revealing Nala. Immediately, her eyes narrowed at seeing the siren.

"What are you doing here?" The changeling asked.

Inside the room, Chrysalis and Fluttershy were cuddling on the bed. At hearing Nala's defensive tone, Chrysalis sat up to see the siren. Looking down at Fluttershy, she patted her side and leaned in.

"Wait here," she whispered, before getting up from the bed. Hearing her movement, Nala looked over as her queen walked up to her. Chrysalis gave her a pat on the back, telling her she was dismissed. "I can handle this," she said, getting a nod from Nala.

The changeling Elite took one more second to glare at the siren before walking over to the bed. Climbing onto it, she scooted up to Fluttershy as if she were protecting her from their visitor.

"What are you doing here?" Chrysalis asked, stepping in the doorway with a cautious look on her face.

"Well, I..." the siren began, looking over to where Twilight was standing, only to find her gone. She must've too focused to realize that the mare had walked away. Looking back at Chrysalis, she rubbed her arm. "I came to... apologize..."

"Apologize?" Asked the changeling queen. "Really?"

Sonata replied with a nod. "There's no excuse for what we did... But, I would like to say that... that's how we were raised. We were told we needed negativity and adoration to feed off of and that no one would accept us for us. After a couple years, it became us and we did it without thinking twice. We became addicted to stealing it, and... that's what we did for all these years... And, it wasn't like we didn't know there was a better way... We just didn't bother looking for one..."

Chrysalis thought about what she said before nodding. "I can relate, somewhat... Though, I have to say, I... I'm sick of being raped..."

Sonata blushed and went wide-eyed. "Oh! Um... S-Sorry, I--"

"There was this time..." Chrysalis interrupted, stepping up to her. "And then when I was defeated by the Elementals the leaders had their way with me. All four of them."

Chrysalis then grabbed her by the arm. "I know how you can make it up to us," she said, before yanking the siren into the room and closed the door.

Starlight sat on a bench by the park and pulled out her cell phone, checking unread texts. As she did, a red mare with dark red hair down to her butt sat down beside her. She wore a fancy black dress that only had the right shoulder strap, leaving her left shoulder bare. On her feet she wore black high heels. Eyeing her, Starlight said nothing before going back to her phone.

"So, this siren thing seems to be over, right?" Asked the red mare.

Eyeing her again, Starlight nodded. "Seems that way..."

"Do you know if they're... alive?"

"From what I hear, Twilight spared them and got them a job at The Wet Mare."

"Really?" Asked the mare with a smile. "Very good..."

"Who are you, now?" Asked Starlight, looking at her. "And why do you care so much about them?"

"My name is Scarlet," the mare said with a smile. "And, let's just say that caring about monsters is my job..." She then got up and gave the purple mare a smile. "See you later, Starlight Glimmer..." she said, before walking away.

The unicorn went back to her phone, reading one of the texts. Soon, she looked up with a gasp, wondering how Scarlet knew her name. When she looked over, the mare was gone. "Shit..." she said, getting up from the bench before disappearing in a flash of magic.

Sonata stood in front of the bed as Fluttershy and Nala were on their back, Chrysalis standing behind the siren.

"Are you sure about this?" Asked the pegasus.

Chrysalis nodded and wrapped her arms around the siren. "After what she did... and what she did to us? I think this is fair."

Sonata looked over her shoulder at her with a smile. "Seems fair to me..."

It was now dusk as a stallion wearing all black with a black hoodie broke the lock on the back door of The Wet Mare. Slipping into the back room, he found himself in the changing room. Right now it was empty but dusk was the only time that seemed appropriate to rob a night club. Low visibility and there was no one here yet. Moving to the curtain which led to the stage, he pulled out a gun. Peeking out, he saw Candy at the bar, tidying up for the night life.

"Alright!" He called, stepping onto the stage and aiming the gun at the mare, making her gasp and back up into the shelves of alcohol. "Hand over the cash," he ordered, hopping off the stage and approaching the bar. "I'm sure a place like this makes a shit ton of money."

Her breathing returning to normal, the pink mare hesitated before slowly moving to the cash register. "Are you sure you... wanna do this?" She asked, slowly moving her hand to open the register.

"Of course, bitch!" He growled. "Now, hand over the cash!" He soon felt a tap on the shoulder, turning around to find himself face-to-face with a purple mare wearing a leather jacket with spikes on the shoulders. "Who the hell are you?" He asked, quickly placing the barrel of the gun to her neck.

Seeing her approach, Octavia smiled and waved to her. "Hello, Twilight."

"Girls," the purple mare said as she stepped up to the DJ's booth. "How have you two been?"

"Which family is it?" Flora asked, wanting to know more.

The black mare let out a sigh as she looked down the road. "Twilight... You've... You've made so much progress since Surprise. Please, don't--"

"Don't what?" Twilight interrupted. "Don't protect my team?"

"Don't regress," Midnight finished. "You can protect them while not becoming obsessed again."

The unicorn eyed her but said nothing. The remainder of the ride was silent.

When the group entered the hospital and approached the front desk, they were met by a white mare wearing a nurse’s uniform.

“Hello, again, Twilight,” the nurse said with a smile. “How’s the head?”

“It’s... better,” the unicorn replied. “But, I’m not here to catch up, Redheart.”

The nurse gave a sad smile and nodded. “Official Elementals business? Something to do with Kyra?”

“We need to find out who attacked her,” Twilight explained. “Before she attacks anyone else. Has Spitfire been notified?”

“I called the cops as soon as she came in,” Redheart nodded. “She said you’d probably be on the way.”

“How is she?” Asked Midnight, stepping up to the counter.

The nurse turned her attention to the black mare and motioned towards the door with her head. “Down the hall. Room 7.”

Midnight nodded and she and Pinkie left to go see their friend. Twilight watched them leave before Redheart spoke again.

“Another friend of yours is there,” the nurse explained. “Said he loves her and isn’t leaving her side until she’s better. So sweet. Stubborn. But, sweet.”

Twilight gave a light smile. “That’s Night.” She then sighed and looked at Redheart. “Hey, uh... thanks... for helping me with my head...”

“No problem,” the white mare replied with a smile. “It’s my job. By the way, have you had any... outbursts? Acted out of character? Anything? After all, your brain did suffer some damage.”

Twilight shook her head and shrugged. “I’ve been... distant... Paranoid, as Midnight would say...”

“Did you meet with that therapist I recommended?”

The purple unicorn gave a couple light nods. “Once...”

Redheart let out a sigh. “Twilight, you need to speak with someone. With the damage done to your brain, you could lash out. If you let your anger out on the wrong—”

“I will let my anger out on the right pony,” Twilight said with narrowed eyes. “The one who’s attacking my team.”

The nurse nodded. “Okay... Just don’t go too far.”

“I’ll go as far as I need to,” Twilight said, before leaving the desk to go find Kyra’s room.

Redheart let out a sigh. “Be careful...”

Twilight found the right room and entered. Kyra was laying in her bed upAgainst the left wall of the room. Night was seated in a chair beside her on her left, and Midnight and Pinkamena were standing on her right side. They all stopped talking when Twilight entered.

“How ya feeling?” Twilight asked, approaching the bed.

Kyra gave a light smile. “Been better. I should be good to go in a couple days.”

Nodding, Twilight gripped the edge of the bed and leaned in. “Who did this?” She asked darkly.

Kyra’s smile faded. “I... I don’t know... She was purple... with green hair that was... s-somehow... alive. She used it like... like tentacles to... throw me around... I hope that helps.”

Twilight nodded and placed her hand on Kyra’s shoulder. “It does. We’ll let you rest now. Your voice sounds a little raspy...”

The red mare face her a slightly wider smile than before. “Thanks... Now, go catch her...”

The unicorn chuckled and stood up. “Of course.”

“But, you really have a lead?” Asked Midnight. “Purple mare and green hair. That’s not a lot to go by.”

“Purple hair that’s alive,” Twilight corrected. “There’s only one purple mare I know who works with hair products... and I didn’t trust her from the start.” She then turned to Pinkamena. “Get a team over to Sylk. I wanna check the morgue before we leave.”

“The... morgue?” Pinkie asked, looking confused.

“I would like to make sure Surprise is dead,” Twilight growled. “I want to see the body, and put a bullet in her head.”

“It’s been a year, but... okay,” Pinkie replied, pulling out her phone. “I’ll get that team together.”

“You may like to know...” Kyra said, getting everyone’s attention. “the call that tipped me off... came from my contact at the hotel I used to own. I think the mare that attacked me is staying there.”

Twilight quickly turned to the pink mare again. “Get a team to the hotel on Parker St.. I’ll check out the morgue and then head there.”

Pinkamena nodded and started dialing as she left the room. Giving Kyra a smile, Twilight turned and left the room. Midnight hesitated before looking over at Kyra.

“Get well soon,” she said with a friendly smile.

The red mare smiled back. “Thanks, I’m... planning on it...”

Twilight headed down the stairs to the hospital’s morgue. As she walked down the hall towards the room, she was approached by a purple nurse wearing a face mask and a typical nurse’s uniform.

“You can’t be down here, m...” she started. “You’re Twilight, aren’t you? With the Elementals.”

“That’s me,” Twilight said impatiently. “I need to see Surprise’s body.”

The nurse gave a confused look. “Her body? Why...”

“I need to make sure she’s dead,” the purple mare sighed.

“Oh, she’s dead,” the purple nurse said with a light chuckle. “You saw to that, didn’t you? Her limbs, and then a few bullets to the head?”

“Heat of the moment,” Twi cooed in a dark tone. “Now, show me... the body...”

The nurse hesitated before sighing and heading towards the morgue. “This way,” she said, entering the room.

Twilight followed closely as the nurse headed towards a wall of body storage lockers.

“We’re keeping her cold until we decide what to do with her,” the nurse explained, opening a locker door. “We called the police and, apparently, she has no living family.”

“Then burn her,” Twilight growled under her breath as the nurse pulled the tray out.

When she unzipped the body bag, the nurse opened it up. There was the dead mare, her white skin now a light gray, her long yellow hair a mess, and her arms and legs mangled and busted.

“Even if she were to somehow wake up,” the nurse started. “it’s not like she could go anywhere.”

Twilight kept her eyes on the body. “Burn it.”

The nurse placed her hands on the edge of the body tray. “Burn it?”

“She has no family?” Twilight asked. “Then, who’s paying for the funeral?” The nurse said nothing. “Burning her is the only option here,” she said, pulling out her gun. “Or should I plug her with more holes?”

The nurse hesitated some more before letting out a defeated sigh. “I’ll need to... make some calls...”

“Make the calls,” Twi said, putting her gun away. “I can wait.”

A couple Elementals cars sped down the road towards Sylk, Inc., the car in front being driven by Rainbow Dash. In the passenger seat was Blood Rain.

“Are you sure about this?” Dash asked. “This mare we’re after is dangerous. She took out one of our best with no problem.”

“I’d like to pull my weight around here,” the pegasus replied. “Training today was okay, but... after that huge battle... I want some more action.”

Dash chuckled and eyed her. “You know we’re... trying to prevent the action, right?”

“Sure,” Blood said with a smirk. “Doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy it while it lasts.”

Another group of Elementals cars raced towards the hotel on Parker St., lead by Cadance and Shining Armor.

“Feels good to be out in the field again,” Cadance said from the passenger seat.

Shining smiled and nodded in agreement. “Sure does... Though, I wish it wasn’t because one of our friends was hospitalized.”

Cadance’s smile faded. “Yeah... Poor Kyra...”

“We’ll get this mare,” The stallion said as he put a hand on his wife’s. “Make sure she doesn’t hurt anyone else...”

Twilight stood in the incineration room, watching the purple nurse wheeling the table with Surprise’s body on it towards the large machine. The mare then opens the incinerator and pushes the body inside. Closing the door, she locked it and hit the button. As the fire burned, Twilight moved closer, walking to the inverse to watch the body burn.

Midnight then walked up behind her. “Satisfied?” She asked. “If so, could we think about might actually be involved?”

“What do you mean?” Asked the unicorn, sounding like she wasn’t really paying attention.

“Well, clearly Surprise isn’t behind this,” Midnight started. “So, who is? Who else is out there that poses a threat?”

“Starlight,” Twi said as she looked over her shoulder. “But, I doubt she’s behind Tresemme. She doesn’t fit.”

“Then, why burn the body?” The black mare asked, confused.

“I just wanted to be sure,” Twilight said, before turning and walking away. “Now, let’s find this fucking bitch... and kill her.”

“Do we... Do we have to kill her?” Asked Midnight, following after her. “Is there no other way?”

“She’s far too dangerous,” Twilight continued in a dark tone as they left the room. “If we let her live, she could cause more damage. Hurt more of our team.”

Midnight quickly grabs her by the shoulder and spins her around before kissing her on the lips. Holding Twilight by both shoulders, she can feel the mare start to relax a little as her shoulders drop. Breaking the kiss, Midnight stared into Twilight’s eyes, the unicorn staring into hers.

Letting out a sigh, Twilight rested her forehead on Midnight’s right shoulder. “If we can... we’ll capture her... and decide what to do after...”

Smiling, Midnight patted her lover’s back. “Thank you... Now, let’s go find where she’s hiding... and stop her.”

Cadance and Shining Armor entered the Eclipse Hotel and made their way towards the front desk, where Daisy was waiting.

“What happened?” Asked the white mare. “Is Kyra okay?”

Cadance let out a sigh and nodded. “Well, she’s... in the hospital, but... we heard she should be healed up rather quickly.”

Daisy slumped into her chair. “Oh... I shouldn’t have said anything...”

“If you hadn’t,” Shining spoke up. “we wouldn’t have known about this threat. Not only did you warn us, but Kyra got enough of a description from her encounter for Twilight to figure it out.”

“Sounds like you helped a lot,” Cadance cooed, smiling at the white mare.

Daisy smiled back. “Thank you... But, that crazy mare or her girlfriend haven’t shown back up yet.”

Cadance sighed and nodded, pulling out her phone. “I’ll call Twilight. We should still stay in case she shows up.”

Twilight skidded around a corner before answering her phone. “Yeah? Shit, okay... Yeah, wait there for now. We’ll check out her company instead...”

“Change of plans?” Midnight asked as Twilight put her phone away.

“Tresemmé isn’t at the Eclipse,” The unicorn sighed, before pulling an illegal u-turn and cutting off a couple cars. “We’ll rendezvous with our team at Sylk.”

Pinkamena then spoke up from the back seat. “You know... She could be anywhere. Why does she have to go back to these locations?”

“Just covering all our bases,” Midnight replied with a smile as she looked over her shoulder at the pink mare.

Pinks gave a single nod but still didn’t look convinced. “And, if we don’t find her?”

Midnight shrugged. “Then, we keep looking. And we won’t stop until we find her. I’m really liking my new family and I’ll do whatever I can to protect it.”

Twilight eyed her when she heard that, before looking at the road again. “We’re almost there...”

Tresemmé and Sunny were parked a couple blocks away from the Eclipse Hotel, Sunny at the wheel. “I told you they’d show up.”

“But, where’s the purple one?” Tress asked as she leaned forward. “I want Twilight...”

Sunny thought for a moment. “If they’re here then they know who you are. Which means...”

“They could also be at my company,” Tress finished.

Both mares eyed each other before Sunny slammed on the gas and sped off.

Dash parked the car and both she and Blood Rain left the front while Sundowner and Sky climbed out of the back. “You three ready?” Dash asked.

“I was born ready,” Blood Rain cooed as she clenched her hands into fists.

“I believe I am,” the stallion said with a smile.

Rainbow looked at Sky, who seemed a little nervous. “You okay?” She asked.

Sky gave a hesitant nod. “Of course... It’s just... this mare we’re after... took out Kyra. Isn’t she one of the best fighters on the team?”

Rainbow Dash sighed and nodded. “True... But Kyra was alone and caught off guard. Right now, there are more of us.”

The doors to the car behind Dash’s opened and out stepped Trixie and Lightning Dust from the back and Gilda from the front.

“I still don’t see why we didn’t bring Sunset along,” Gilda said as she closed the car door.

“Trixie has all the magic you need,” the blue unicorn said triumphantly.

The griffin eyed her before looking at Rainbow Dash. “Seriously... Why?”

“Trixie’s magic is getting better,” the pegasus replied with a chuckle. “Besides, we needed a powerful unicorn to help Celestia and Luna guard the hotel while Cadance and Shining Armor are away.” She then looked at Sky. “Stay near Trixie if you’re not feeling up to it.”

“Oh, already getting my first escort mission?” Trixie asked, sounding honored. “Trixie shall do her best!”

Sky eyed her before she quickly looked at Rainbow again. “Are you serious?”

“You’ll be fine,” Dash cooed with a smile, patting the pegasus’ back. “You're a good fighter, Sky. If we all stick together, then we’ll be fine.”

“Worry not,” Trixie cooed, stepping up to Sky and putting her arm around her. “You are under Trixie’s protection now. No harm shall come to you for I have been assigned many escort missions back in my old gang. I got your back.”

“Firstly, I’m just concerned with this crazy mare we’re up against,” Sky pointed out. “Secondly, the very nature of it being an escort mission means you should be in front, instead of watching my back.”

Sky smiled back and nodded. “I appreciate the support.”

Gilda walked up to Dash as she looked around. “So, what’re we doing?”

Back at the hotel, Sunset stood out in front of the building, looking both ways for any signs of intrusion. Pulling out her phone, she called Celestia. “In position?” She asked.

“Yes,” replied the white alicorn. “Remember that spell I gave you?”

Sunset nodded, as if the other mare could see. “Yeah. Yeah, I got it. Now, let me get Luna on the line so we can begin.” The orange mare then dialed Luna’s number, adding her to the call. “Luna?” She asked. “You ready?”

"As ready as I'll ever be, Sunset Shimmer," the blue mare replied.

"Alright, then," the orange unicorn sighed. "Let's cast this thing." Hanging up the phone, she lit her horn up. After gathering a bunch of her orange magic in her right hand, she shot a beam upwards into the sky. As she did, she saw a yellow beam and a blue beam from the two sisters. Once they were high enough, they curved and met each other above the hotel. The beams then spread to form a magic shield around the hotel. Letting out a deep sigh, Sunset lowered her hand. "There. Nothing's happening to the hotel this time."

Inside, Fluttershy looked out the window in her room to see the shield go up. From her room, she had a great view of the back of the hotel. When she feels a hand on her right shoulder, she looks over to see Chrysalis standing beside her. "I wish I could be out there helping."

"I know," the changeling said with a light smile. "Well... I'm gonna go see if they need help with anything."

Fluttershy gave her a smile before the changeling walked away. When the pegasus returned her gaze to the window, she spotted something familiar at the edge of the shield. In the alley behind the hotel was a stack of boxes. Beside the boxes was a white bunny. Squinting her eyes, Fluttershy let out a gasp, eyes going wide. "Angel? Hold on! Mommy's coming!"

Rushing from the window, she left her room and bee-lined it to the elevator. Looking around, it appeared Chrysalis was already gone. Not wanting to wait, she hopped in the elevator and rode it to the first floor. When the doors opened, she circled around to the back hall and left through the back door. Running up to the edge of the shield where Angel was, she dropped to her knees with a wide smile.

"Hey, Angel," she said, wiping tears from her eyes. "I-I thought I lost you." The bunny started squeaking frantically and waving his arms. "I-Is something wrong?" She asked, concern in her voice as she reached out to pick up her pet. She had to reach out up to her elbows in order to be able to grab the bunny. When she tried picking him up, she noticed a rope around his hind paw. "Huh? What--"

She was cut off when a green tentacle wrapped around the mare's wrist and pulled her into the alley. A purple mare then stepped out from behind the boxes and sighed contently. "I believe he was saying... It's a trap..." she coos evilly.

Sunny then stepped out of the alley, coming into the light of the hotel. "I told you she'd jump at the first chance to get her pet back."

Tressemé threw Fluttershy into Sunny, who wrapped her arms around the pegasus. "Hold onto this for me," she said, before pulling a piece of paper out of her pocket. She then knelt down and held the paper out to Angel. "Mind delivering a message?" She asked gently, a disturbingly calm smile on her face. Angel squeaked once before quickly snatching the paper. Tresemmé smiled and untied the rope before standing up. "Good. Now, hop away, little bunny."

Angel looked up at her before looking over at the pegasus, fear on his face. "It's okay, Angel," Flutterhy calls with a smile. "I'll be fi--" She got cut off when Sunny delivers a hard punch to her back, making her scream in pain.

"Not, if the vermin doesn't deliver the message," the yellow mare growls.

"Calm yourself, dear," the purple mare coos, before looking down at Angel. "He seems like an intelligent bunny... You'll deliver it, right?"

Angel quickly nods and begins hopping away. Getting behind the safety of the shield, he looked back to take one last look at his owner, who gave him a smile. He then turned and began hopping towards the hotel, trying to find help.

Watching him leave, Tresemmé chuckled and turned to Sunny. "Mmm... How's our own bunny doing?"

"I got her secured," Sunny grunted, tightening her hold.

The purple mare began making her way towards them. "I don't think you need to hold her so tight," she said calmly, stepping up to them. "I don't think she'll try to run, right?" Fluttershy shook her head in response. "Good... Let go of her, Sunny. She seems like a smart one."

The yellow mare hesitated before slowly letting go. "If you say so..."

Tresemmé smiled and placed her hands on Fluttershy's hips, making the pegasus shudder with a blush. "You are going to... follow Sunny to the car. Okay?"

Fluttershy nodded and maintained eye contact. "Okay..."

Sunny eyed them before taking Fluttershy's arm. "Come on, bitch," she growled, pulling the mare away.

"Gentle, sweetie," Tresemmé cooed. "I want this one intact." As she followed the two towards their car, she eyed the pegasus' butt. "I may want to keep this one..."

Chrysalis stood beside Sunset as they monitored the front of the hotel.

"How's Fluttershy doing?" The unicorn asked casually.

Chrysalis smiled and sighed happily. "She's good. We're good. She just wishes she could help out more."

"Well, maybe Applejack or Rainbow Dash can give her fighting lessons," Sunset replied with a smile. "Congrats on the wedding, by the way. Not sure if I told you that yet..."

"You didn't, but... there are more important things to worry about now." The changeling then smiled and looked at the unicorn. "What about you and that... Red Shade?"

Sunset eyed her with a light smile. "Well, he still missed his ex, so... we broke up on good terms and he went back to her. Can't blame him, though. She's this really hot bat mare with a dick. The two perform at the Wet Mare."

"Huh..." Chrysalis muttered. "Have you gone to watch them?"

"A note?" Sunset asked, walking over to them. "What's it say?"

Chrysalis read it as her expression went from worry to extremely pissed off. "That fucking bitch has Fluttershy!"

"What?!" Sunset gasped. "Who? The one we're on alert for?" Watching the changeling stand up, she took a step closer. "Are you going after her?"

"I can't," Chrysalis growled, holding out the note. "She wants Twilight. Anyone else makes an attempt... and she'll kill her."

Sunset took the note and read it. "W... W-We need to get a hold of--" Before she could finish her sentence, Chrysalis already had her phone to her ear.

"Twilight!" She exclaimed. "That bitch you're looking for has Fluttershy! She wants you and you alone."

Twilight hung up her phone and let out a deep sigh, putting her phone away. After staying silent for a couple seconds, she slammed the steering wheel. "Fuck!"

"What happened?" Midnight asked, the pink mare in the backseat also on alert now.

"Tresemmé has Fluttershy," Twi said as she sped up. "And, she wants me to come fight for her."

Sunny gently shoved Fluttershy into a chair. "Stay," she ordered, before Tresemmé walked up to the pegasus.

Fluttershy obediently started licking, closing her eyes as she listened to the mare moan out in pressure. Where was Chrysalis? Where was Twilight? Why hasn’t anyone come yet?

“Oh, she’s good...” Sunny moaned with a smile. “Perhaps, we can keep her after a-“

“Hey, bitch!” Yelled a familiar voice from the hallway outside the room, cutting Sunny off.

The yellow mare growled and eyed the door. “I was just starting to enjoy it, too...”

“Keep enjoying,” Tresemmé cooed as she headed for the door. “I’ll deal with this...”

The purple mare burst through the doors and into the hallway, seeing Twilight standing a few feet away. The unicorn had a cocky smirk on her face.

“There you are,” Twilight sighed, holding up her fists. “Come on!”

Tresemmé growled and left the doors open, walking towards the mare. “You’re either very brave or very stupid.”

Twilight kept up her smirk, ready for the fight.

Final Confrontation / Epilogue

Twilight ran at the purple mare, letting out a yell. When Tress swiped at her with one of her tentacles, the unicorn leaped over it and somersaulted into an uppercut, hitting the mare in the chin. Tress let out a growl and threw a punch at the unicorn's chest. Twilight effectively blocked the attack with her left arm before one of the hair tentacles grabbed her by the waist and slammed her into the wall. Tresemmé then threw Twilight down the hall towards the elevators. The purple unicorn hit the elevator doors with a grunt before dropping to the floor with a thud.

"Shit..." Twilight grunted. "Keep my distance... Got it..."

Before she could react, Tresemmé charged at her and knocked her through the elevator doors, bending the metal inwards and knocking Twilight down the shaft. "Bet you wish you could fly." She then turned from the elevator and began heading back to Sunny. "That was a total letdown," she growled.

She suddenly heard a rumble from the elevator shaft. The maniacal mare whipped around as the elevator doors blew off their tracks, flying down the hall. Using her tentacles, Tresemmé blocked them and knocked them aside. She could see a green glow from the shaft as Chrysalis rose up into view, her wings fluttering.

"Isn't that a twist?" Tresemmé cooed with a smile. "Finally a challenge."

"You kidnapped my wife, you bitch," the changeling growled, before firing a few magic blasts at the purple mare.

Sunny moaned softly as she kept holding Fluttershy’s head between her legs. “Oh, that’s it... I’m almost there!” She then heard the faint sound of something on her left.

Sighing, she reached into her pocket and secretly pulled out a switchblade. She then quickly stood up with her left arm wrapped around the pegasus' neck, blade against her skin. "Who's there?!" She asked, backing up against the nearest wall.

"Hiding behind a defenseless mare?" Twilight asked, stepping out of the shadows. "Afraid to fight me one-on-one?"

Sunny hesitated before smirking. "Ah, Twilight. Nice to finally meet you. I assume it's that changeling bitch fighting my beloved?"

Twilight took a step towards her. "I assumed she's the tough one and you're the brains. Seems a perfect match," she said, pounding her left palm with her right fist.

The yellow mare sighed before she nuzzled Fluttershy. "You know, I wanted to kill this fucking piece of shit, but Tressie wants to keep her." She then licked the pegasus' neck before whacking the back of her head with her fist. The mare dropped to the floor with a grunt, laying unconscious. "Now, it's just you and me."

Twilight lit her horn up and fired a bolt of magic at the mare. Sunny held out her hand to block the attack. When the magic hit her hand, the attack vaporized, leaving the hand unscathed. Twilight went wide-eyed as the yellow mare chuckled, shaking her hand by her side.

"There's more to me than meets the eye, Twilight," Sunny growled, before charging at the unicorn.

Twilight blocked a punch with her arm before throwing a punch of her own. Sunny grabbed the purple fist and pulled the unicorn close to headbutt her. When their foreheads collided, Twilight grunted and stumbled back.

“You bitch,” She hissed, before lunging at her enemy.

When Sunny threw a punch, Twilight dropped to the floor and performed a sweeping kick, knocking the yellow mare onto her side with a grunt. Twilight quickly sat up before jumping on top of Sunny, pinning her arms down. Quickly letting go with her right hand, she punched the mare across the face twice before Sunny regained control. The yellow mare grabbed Twilight by the neck and squeezed hard. The unicorn quickly pulled away, coughing loudly before Sunny kicked her away with both feet.

As Twilight stumbled backwards, Sunny rushed to the desk and grabbed the chair. Before Twilight could focus, Sunny threw the chair at her. The purple mare let out a pained grunt when the furniture struck her, causing her to collapse with a groan.

"I expected more from the leader of the Elementals," Sunny sighed, sounding bored.

Tresemmé blocked the magic attacks with her hair before she felt the changeling fly into her at full speed. Letting out grunts, both tumbled across the floor with Chrysalis ending up further down the hall. Getting up, she looked over her shoulder where Twilight was fighting Sunny.

Looking back at her opponent, Chrysalis saw the mare swinging towards her from the ceiling. Chrysalis was about to fire a blast of magic at her but her wrist was grabbed by a green tentacle.

“Uh-uh,” Tress cooed. “Bad.” She then yanked hard and flung the queen down the hall.

Using her wings, Chrysalis managed to stop herself from hitting the floor. Darting forward, she fired a beam of magic. When Tress covered herself with the tentacles to shield herself, Chrysalis made her fingernails grow a little longer. Quickly, she sliced at her opponent, before landing behind her. With a grunt, Chrysalis kicked the purple mare forward, making her trip over something and fall over. Looking down, Chrysalis noticed a piece of green tentacle laying on the floor.

“So, that’s how to do it,” Chrysalis said with a smirk as she eyed the elevator shaft, now knowing how to defeat Tress.

Sunny approached Twilight, pounding her left palm with her right fist. "I've never had to push myself like this." She then let out a chuckle as she knelt down beside the unicorn. "Hell, I've never had to fight before now. So, I thank you for this opportunity to test out my abilities."

"I can still kick your ass, you bitch," Twilight growled, starting to get up.

The yellow mare smirked and grabbed Twilight by the back of the neck. "That's a lot of talk," she began, before slamming the mare's head back down. "for someone who's losing."

Twilight hissed with pain as she felt a trickle of blood on her forehead. "How are you so strong?"

"It's a long story," Sunny sighed, before standing up. "You don't have the time to hear it."

When she raised her foot to attack, Twilight rolled out of the way before firing a bolt of magic at the floor where she just was. The impact knocked Sunny backwards and gave Twilight enough time to get to her feet. She ignored the small cut on her forehead and held up her fists

"I'm gonna enjoy smashing your face in," Twilight growled.

Sunny smiled and started walking towards her. "Good luck."

Twilight threw a punch but Sunny stepped aside and delivered a blow to Twilight's side. The unicorn let out a grunt and went to punch her in the face. When Sunny blocked her fist, Twilight snuck in with a knee to the stomach, followed up with an elbow to the chin. Stepping back, she kicked the yellow mare hard in the chest, knocking the mare backwards."

"Shit," Sunny growled, holding her chest as she glared at her opponent. "Finally a challenge."

She then ran at Twilight, both then engaging in a fight, exchanging punches and kicks, some being blocked, some being countered, and others colliding with various parts. Eventually, Twilight managed to kick Sunny into the desk. The yellow mare grabbed a stapler and threw it at Twilight. The unicorn grabbed it with her magic and chucked it at Sunny's head. The yellow mare grunted in pain before Twilight tackled her.

Both mares rolled over the desk and fell off on the other side. Twilight ended up on top and started punching the mare in the face repeatedly. It wasn't long before Sunny managed to roll them over so she was on top. She then started punching Twilight in the face. The unicorn made her horn flash, temporarily blinding Sunny. Using this opportunity to her advantage, Twilight kicked her away and got to one knee.

She was starting to feel dizzy from the blows to her face. For some reason, this mare's punches were really strong. Sunny was about to charge when something out in the hallway caught her attention. Letting out a gasp, she took off running. Letting out a groan, Twilight collapsed to the floor.

Tresemmé pushed herself forward with her hair and lunged at Chrysalis, pinning her to the floor. "You're putting up quite the fight. Finally, a challenge."

"You know, without this hair," Chrysalis grunted as she tried to break free from the tendrils' grip. "I would've killed you already."

"Oh, obviously," Tress said as she placed her hand on her chest. "I'm no fighter."

"Yeah, you talk too much," Chrysalis spat, before sending out a blast from her horn, hitting the purple mare in the chest. Getting up, Chrysalis ran at the mare and lunged at her. Throwing a magic-filled punch, she pushed the mare back even further so that she was right in front of the elevator.

Tresemmé swung at Chrysalis twice, each time the changeling ducking before delivering an uppercut to the crazy mare's chin. Without hesitation, Chrysalis took this moment to deliver a hard kick to the mare's chest, knocking her backwards through the opening into the elevator.

Tresemmé fell backwards into the elevator shaft and used her hair to grab hold of the wires to keep herself from falling. Chrysalis ran up to the edge and lit her horn up. Without hesitation, she zipped over Tresemmé to the other side of the shaft, using her sharp nails to cut the hair as she passed.

The purple mare went wide-eyed when she felt herself falling again. Only, this time, she didn’t have enough hair to stop. She frantically broke her tendrils apart into separate strands before creating a few more thinner tendrils. However, she wasn’t fast enough. When she managed to grab hold of something, she also slammed into the floor with a loud groan.

“Fuck,” she groaned, using the strength she had to pull the elevator doors open. Hoisting herself up and out of the shaft, she started crawling across the lobby floor towards the exit.

Chrysalis stared down the shaft, still clinging to the wall with her sharp nails. She looked up just in time to see Sunny jump down, grabbing onto the cable and sliding all the way down. The changeling let out a gasp, knowing that she couldn't let them escape. Growling under her breath, she let go of the wall and used her wings to gently drop to the bottom.

When the changeling emerged from shaft on the first floor, Sunny let out a tell and jumped her from the side. Due to the beating the mare already took, Chrysalis easily blocked the attack and kneed her in the stomach. The yellow mare let out a gasp as Chrysalis slipped begging her and wrapped her arm around the mare’s neck.

As she did, five cops came running into the lobby with Spitfire at the front. “Did you stop them?” The cop asked as she ordered two others to apprehend Sunny. One, a green stallion. The other, a blue mare.

Chrysalis shoved the mare towards the cops before walking with Spitfire to where Tresemmé was. The crazy purple mare was sitting up against a wall with blood running from her nose and bruises all over her body.

“I guess healing isn’t one of her abilities,” Spitfire commented when they heard a nose from the elevator.

Looking over, they saw Twilight helping Fluttershy out of the shaft. Chrysalis quickly ran over to them and pulled the pegasus into a tight hug. Meanwhile, Twilight held her gun tightly as she approached Tresemmé.

“Twilight?” Spitfire asked, noticing the gun. “What are you doing?”

“Putting an end to this shit,” the unicorn replied, before raising her gun to Tress.

“No!” Sunny yelled as she was forced to the floor. “Don’t you fucking do it!”

“Twilight,” Spitfire began, hand on her own gun. “She’s beaten. Look at her. You think she’s sane enough to fake it? We need to take her in and find a way to reverse the effects on her hair.”

“She tried to kill Kyra,” Twilight said, eyes narrowing. “She could’ve killed Fluttershy...”

“Our lives are at risk every day,” Spitfire said as she moved her hand from her gun. “It’s part of the job. But, you did what you could and no one died. No one has to die.”

Twilight sniffled as tears ran down her face. “I couldn’t protect Emerald... or Aqua... or Tech... or all those that fucking died when Surprise blew up the hotel... I almost lost Kyra and Fluttershy to this bitch..."

"There are some things that we can't control," the cop went on, moving a little closer to Twilight. "But, we can control our actions. Clearly Tresemmé is no threat to you as you beat her."

"Chrysalis beat her," Twilight corrected, before eyeing Sunny. "I beat that bitch."

"Still," Spitfire said, her heart pounding as she hoped this wouldn't go the way she feared. "You girls beat them. You can beat them again if you had to."

"Jail won't work," the unicorn said as she shook her head. "They could bend the bars."

"We have special prisons for those kinds of criminals," Spitfire explained. "Just as we have ways of arresting and holding unicorns." Twilight's hand started shaking. "Come on, don't do this," Spitfire pleaded. "Midnight is right outside waiting for you. As are your friends. If you do this, it'll ruin your life."

Twilight eyed her before looking at Tresemmé. The mare still seemed to injured to try and fight back. Hand shaking even more, she lowered her hand with a grunt. Sighing deeply, she looked at Spitfire. "Arrest her."

"Oh, thank fuck," Spitfire sighed, starting to move forward as Twilight turned to walk away.

"You think this is over?" the crazy mare asked, coughing. "When I get out, and you know I will... I'll be coming for your Midnight. And, your friends," she said with a weak laugh, coughing some more as she looked over at Chrysalis. "Then, I'll go after your wife. You'll all pay for this, I swear..."

Twilight stopped moving, eyes on the door. She could see Midnight standing outside with Pinkamena and Rainbow Dash. Images of Aqua and Tech flashed through her mind. How Tech's death affected Flora also ran through her mind. Letting out a shuddered breath, her grip tightened on her gun. Closing her eyes, she exhaled deeply and slowly before whipping around and aiming her gun. Without hesitation, she shot Tresemmé in the head.

"NO!" Sunny exclaimed, staring in horror. "Tressy!"

As the mare's blood splattered the wall, Spitfire jumped back. "What the fuck?!" She exclaimed, standing up and turning to Twilight. "What the fuck have you done?"

"I saved my friends," Twilight said with tears in her eyes. "My family."

Spitfire shook her head and pulled out handcuffs. "This is over, Twilight!" She yelled, trying not to cry, too. "You're too unpredictable! The mayor will not shit like this slide, so now I have to take action... and arrest you!"

"You can't," Twilight sniffled. "I-I still have work to do..."

"You are not fit to bit out in public!" The cop yelled, raising her gun. "If you run, you'll be on the most wanted list by morning, I guarantee it!"

"Twilight?" Chrysalis asked, getting the mare's attention. The changeling had a few tears in her eyes, as did Fluttershy. "Just, stop."

The purple unicorn shook her head slowly. "I can't." She then looked at Spitfire again. "I'm sorry." Before anyone could react, Twilight disappeared in a flash of light.

"Shit!" Spitfire yelled, pulling out her radio. "All units, be on the lookout for Twilight. She's priority one. Stop her by any means."

"Do we... use lethal force?" The voice on the other end asked.

Spitfire stared off into nothing before she looked over at Chrysalis and Fluttershy. Her eyes then went back to Tresemmé's body.

"Ma'am?" Asked the voice.

"Only if absolutely necessary," Spitfire replied, before putting her hand over her mouth, not believing she had to give the order.

"What have you done?" Chrysalis asked, walking towards her. "You're authorizing them to kill Twilight?"

"O-nly if they h-have to..." Spitfire stammered as she clumsily put her radio away.

Chrysalis shook her head. "Why? She's never threatened an innocent!"

"I know!" The cop yelled back. "But, in her quest for the truth, what if she accidentally kills an innocent?! Someone she thinks is evil?! I can't let that happen!"

"This is all so wrong," the queen muttered, crossing her arms.

"Perhaps," Spitfire agreed. "But I'm just doing my job. Believe me, I never wanted to make this call against Twilight. After all she's done for us--"

Their discussion was cut off when they heard grunting. Looking over to where the two cops were holding Sunny, the yellow mare had broken free. She had the green cop on the floor, her leg wrapped around his head while she had her left arm wrapped around the other blue cop's neck. She then snapped the green cop's neck with her leg before grabbing his gun and standing up with the blue mare as a hostage.

When Spitfire pulled her gun and Chrysalis lit her horn, Sunny began heading to a side door in the lobby. "Let her go!" Spitfire yelled.

"Or what?" The yellow mare asked. "You'll arrest me either way. And I've already killed one cop. What's wrong with killing a second?"

"No, please, don--" the blue cop started before Sunny pulled the trigger.

"No!" Spitfire exclaimed, firing off multiple rounds.

In her anger and shock, she couldn't really aim well, and missed every time. Sunny took off running as Chrysalis fired a bolt of magic at her. Sunny simply deflected it with her hand and burst through the side door.

"What the hell just happened?" Chrysalis asked, as Spitfire ran over to the two dead cops. "All units!" She screamed into her radio. "Another top priority! Sunny, who worked at Sylk, Inc. Sh-She just killed two cops!"

Fluttershy looked around the room at the dead cops, where Twilight was, and Tresemmé's body. She dropped to her knees and started to quietly sob to herself. Hearing this, Chrysalis came running over to comfort her

Midnight and the others were still waiting outside when Spitfire came out. "What's going on?" The black mare asked. "I saw some of the cops speed off. And there was a gunshot."

Spitfire walked up to the group and took a deep breath. "Twilight has killed Tresemmé in cold blood. Just like she did with Dune. She has become unstable and... in order to stop her, I tried to arrest her. She resisted and fled. As did Sunny. Both are on our top priorities list and, if any of them should resist again... lethal force has been authorized," she said, getting gasps from everyone in the group. The cop's eyes then fell on Midnight, who was simply staring in wide-eyed horror. "I'm so sorry." She then turned and headed towards her own police car.

"Twilight's... a criminal now?" Trixie. "B-But, how... What..."

"Shit..." Blood Rain sighed, rubbing her head. "How could she do that?"

Midnight stayed frozen in place before walking over to her car and getting in. After turning the car on, she gripped the wheel. Tears then began to stream down her face as she began to openly sob. Resting her forehead on the wheel, she slammed her left foot down a couple times. She let out a gasp when she heard her door open and sat up.

"Hey," Pinkamena said, reaching in and putting a hand on Midnight's shoulder. "You shouldn't be driving like this. Move over."

The black mare sniffled and nodded, sliding into the passenger seat as Pinkie sat down in the driver's seat.

Sterling watched as Jade tried to get Ruby down off the ceiling for dinner when her phone rang. "Hello?" She answered. Her eyes then went wide. "A-Are you sure?" She then hung up and leaned back against the wall. "Oh, mistress, what have you done?"

Twilight stood on the bridge leading out of Ponytropolis. "Good-bye, everyone," she whimpered, wiping tears from her eyes. "I'll be back someday, I promise..."

After taking one last minute, she turned and started walking away from the city... and from her family...
