"But sir; I'm tired and hungry." cried a squeaky voice.
"No, I can't rest until I have this Amulet... When I have this Amulet, I will rule Equestria. Understand, Soulful Dusk?" replied a dark voice.
Sigh. "But master, we've been out here for ages. But I do understand. Please, don't make me test out the teleporter again. The scars are still burning on my wings. i can't fly yet!" said Soulful Dusk.
"I've worked hard on the mix to make the potion for your horn, now it's your turn to work hard on my teleporter. Understand?!" yelled the dark voice.
"Yes, master." said Soulful Dusk.
"But don't worry. I will only test it n you a couple thousand more times." said Master with a grin.
"Oh, please no!" groaned Soulful Dusk.
"*Beep* System opening. Teleporting to : Lab. Mission fail. Epic fail." said a voice from inside the teleporter.
"Oh, the pain!" whimpered Soulful Dusk. "W - why do have to torture me like this?" she added.
"Why, does this thing not work? I have worked so hard! But, I do this because power cannot only have power; it must also have pain. And I thank you for taking my pain. No one will question us when we rise to power. We together will rule the world. Mwa ha ha ha ha!" he replied becoming annoyed.
"Yes, I understand that. I will forever be grateful for the power you are vowing to give me right now. For this master, I thank you. I will always be here for you, father." said Soulful Dusk proudly.
"Never call me again! No pony can know... Not even one! Call me master, whatever you want! Just not Father!" said the voice as it was getting mad, and angry.
"I promise, Master. But why? Can we not be proud together as Father and Daughter?" replied Soulful Dusk.
"No. Love is too great to compare to power. You must choose one : Love, or Power. For, I have already chosen Power. It was destined for me to rise to Power, and it should be yours too. Do not chose Love, it can ruin my Destiny. My destiny to Power! Mwa ha ha ha ha!" said 'Master'.
Sigh. "But I still don't understand! Why?! I want both. Love - Love for each other. Care. Having fun! But also Power, Power with force, and greatfulness. All pony should be proud of us in all aspects. Both Love, and Power. Why must I chose, Master?" sobbed Soulful Dusk.
"Some may not think that; for I do not. I will give you a day to think, no more. I have to go now, watch over the place. If any pony comes, let them into the Death Trap I set up - no put them into the cage, I want to watch them suffer." said 'Master'. Just as he finished, he shot out the exit.
"But, how can I chose. What will happen if I chose Love? This is too big of a decision for me." sobbed Soulful Dusk. Sigh. She lay down, and closed her eyes to think.
"Soulful Dusk! Where are you? I'm home!" asked master.
"Over here! Master, I made you a breakfast! I know you've had a tough day, so here you go!" said Soulful Dusk as she used her magic to carry a tray with pancakes, a glass of milk, a cheesecake, and a muffin.
"Thank you, you are very sweet, Soulful Dusk." said master.
