Being a new student is harder than you think.

Walking down the halls a face that no one knows.

I walked down the halls with no one even giving me a second glance.

"Gosh everyone is so reserved here." I whispered under my breath.

Then, I bumped into somebody. My books fell and so did theirs.

"Oh Gouda I'm so sorry Mi-iss." I stuttered, looking at the girl. Her hair was very frizzy and poofy and pink. She had beautiful sparkling blue eyes.

"Oh don't be sorry silly." the girl giggled.

I quickly grabbed her books and gave them to her.

"Oh I should be it's my fault." I stuttered. I then grabbed my books. She laughed and then looked at me again.

"Well, I have to get going. We should hang out sometime!" she giggled, getting up and turning around.

"Also by the way, my name's Pinkie Pie!"

---------------

The lunchroom was crowded with hungry students. I shuffled, twisted and jived through the crowd, looking for a place to sit. My tray almost fell about 5 times, but I luckily didn't drop my food. Then, I saw a pink hand waving frantically in the air. I ran towards it and found out that it belonged to the one and only Pinkie Pie.

"CHEESE!!" she yelled, smiling widely.

I smiled even wider as I walked up to her and her friends.

"Hiya Cheese!" she said, waving to me.

I smiled back then a though occurred to me. "Um, how do you know my name?" I asked. I didn't remember telling her.

"Oh I saw it on your notebook!" she laughed. "Ooh is that a vanilla cupcake with rainbow sprinkles, a cherry and hot sauce?"

"Yep! I swear the lunch lady thought I was crazy!" I complained.

"Well I don't blame her." grunted a blue girl with rainbow hair.

Pinkie glared at her. "Don't listen to Dashie. She can be kinda rude sometimes." said Pinkie.

I shook my head and laughed. This day certainly was turning out all right.

"So Cheesie." said Pinkie, sitting him and herself at the table with all her friends.

I blushed slightly at the cute nickname she had already come up with.

"We're do you come from?" she asked.

"I come from Manhattan." I explained. "I just moved here with my mother and little sister. My mom needs a better job and she thought Canterlot was the perfect place to get one." I took out a picture from a bag I had been carrying around. The picture consisted of me, my younger sister, about 1-2 years younger than me, and a smiling lady (my mother), with her hands on both our shoulders.

"So that's yer kinfolk?" asked a western looking girl, with a brown cowboy hat on, and freckles, sitting across the table, finally saying something, and pointing at the my sister and my mother. "What about yer other kinfolk? Cousins. Aunts. Uncles. Grandparents. Where's yer dad?"

I fell silent at the mention of my dad. I haven't seen him since I was very young. He was a soldier and served for the army. We were waiting and waiting for him to come home, but he never did. We haven't seen him since. Whenever someone mentions him, I can't come to my senses to say something back. I usually just fall silent. Maybe I should stop doing that.

I think that western girl quickly got the memo, so she stopped talking about my relatives.

"Soooo." said Pinkie, trying to break the awkward silence. "What do you like to do? Like for fun and stuff!"

I brightened up at the mentioning of hobbies, and being able to change the subject quickly. I really don't like awkwardness.

"I love to plan parties!" I exclaimed. "I threw ALOT parties in Manhattan! The biggest parties in all of the cities! I actually threw two for a young girl named Babs Seed."

"Wait. Babs Seed! You mean my cousin??" the western girl asked in shock.

"Uh mine too Applejack!!" complained Pinkie.

Well then at least I got that western girls name.

"Wow! She's your cousin?" I asked, curious to know.

"Yep!" AJ said. "She got bullied in Manhattan, then came to visit am little sister Applebloom. The rest is history."

She took another gulp of her apple cider.

"Sooo!! You gonna eat or what?" asked Pinkie. "Lunch is only 45 minutes!"

I had almost totally forgotten about my food. Of course, I ate the cupcake first. I accidentally got some hot sauce on my cheek, and I grabbed a napkin to clean it off.

I felt a finger on my cheek. It was Pinkie's. She licked the hot sauce she had gotten off my face from her finger.

"You should NEVER waste any hot sauce!" she giggled, also snorting.

I blushed from her taking the hot sauce off my face, and her cute giggle laugh.

"Wow um Cheese. You look redder than a perfectly ripe apple in the fall!" chuckled AJ.

"Wh-what." I stuttered, grabbing my cowboy hat out of nowhere and covering my red face with it.

I still don't know how I can grab stuff out of nowhere, but I guess I can find out somehow.

"Guys leave him alone!" scolded Pinkie. "You don't just point out stuff like that! It's rude!"

"Pfft whatever." snorted that blue girl with the rainbow hair. I'm starting not to be very fond of her attitude.

"RAINBOW!!" Pinkie scolded again.

Was that a nickname? I had never heard of someone's name being 'Rainbow'. Well I guess 'Cheese Sandwich' is kinda weird but whatever.

Then, the bell rang loudly. I scolded myself under my breath for not eating, but I got up and dumped my food in the trash and put my tray on it.

"Well I hope we at least have one class together!! Bye Bye!" yelled Pinkie, running off to her next class.

I smiled and went to gather my things.

Detention with You

I was thinking of Pinkie Pie. Again. Her curly, frizzy, dark pink hair. Her shiny glowing eyes. They reminded me of fireworks, lighting up the dark night sky. I had never fallen head over heels before. I had also never believed love at first sight existed. But boy was I wrong. When I had first saw her, I had felt some tingly feeling inside me. Was it pure joy? Bliss? I thought it over. Was it love? I have yet to find out. Then I started to think of hanging out with her. I hope she's in one of my classes. Wait, speaking of classes

"Mr. Sandwich!" yelled Mrs. Harshwhinny . She looked very upset. Had I been daydreaming!? For how long! Oh god. "There is no daydreaming and not paying attention in class." she growled, scowling. "Detention!"

Darn it!

----

After school, I walked into the detention room. The detention teacher, Mr. Doodle. He gave me a stern look and pointed to one of the desks. I sat down, already bored out of my mind. I'm a party person!! I can't just sit here for an hour. I might go loco in the coco!!

"Mr. Sandwich. I have to be getting somewhere, so I am having another student watch over you for the rest of your detention." explained Mr. Doodle. I heard running and panting. The door opened to reveal.... PINKIE PIE!!

What was she doing here!

"Hi Mr. Doodle! Sorry that I'm late!" said Pinkie, crouching down, resting her hands on her legs and panting. Mr. Doodle got up, and Pinkie immediately sat down in the chair. At first, she didn't even notice me.

"Ok Pinkie remember the rules." explained Mr. Doodle, probably for the 10th time. "No kissing, hugging, making out or s--" He was cut off by Pinkie's hand covering his mouth.

"OK Mr. Doodle I get it!" she exclaimed, pushing him out of the room. "Have fun on you're date with Mrs. Matilda!! Bye bye!" She shut the door, and walked back to the desk. "Hello." she said in the deepest voice she could do, which wasn't very deep. "Welcome to detention!"

She finally looked up and gasped. "Cheese!" she yelled, getting up out of her chair and hugging me. Looks like she forget the rules pretty easily. Maybe Mr. Doodle should of reminded her more. "How did you get in detention?" she asked, letting go of me, and putting on a detective hat and pulling out a giant magnifying glass out of seemingly nowhere.

I guess I'm not the only one that can do that.

"Daydreaming and not paying attention." I told her.

"What were you daydreaming about?" she asked, scooting me over on the seat and sitting down, ready for some kind of epic adventure or something.

"It was about-" I said, stopping myself. I was daydreaming about her. I couldn't tell her! She would probably hate me! I coughed. "Oh um nothing much." I grabbed my cowboy hat again and put it over my blushing face.

"Aww come on tell me!!" she said. Her face was inches from mine. And then she gave me a cute puppy face. Her eyes went all big, and her lip quivered. I didn't even have time to cover my face with my hat before my blush bombarded my face. "PPLLEEAASSEE!!" she whimpered. "I-I can't Pinkie Pie." I said, finally coming to my senses, and covering my face with my hat.

"P-pinkie Pie aren't you supposed to be not talking to me." I told, to save myself from the brutal embarrassment.

"Oh yeah!!" she said, as if a lightbulb had gone off in her head. She sprung up and skipped to the teachers desk. Then, she grabbed a piece of paper, folded it hot dog style, and wrote something. When she was finished writing, she put the paper on the desk. It said 'Mrs. Pinkie Pie in pink. I was going to tell her that if she was a Mrs., she was supposed to be married. I decided against it.

"So how long are you sentenced to this hell hole called detention Mr. Sandwich?" she giggled, knowing very well I hated being called that. I sighed.

"An hour. Like I told you, just daydreaming, nothing spectacular." I explained. "But it's alright it's already been like thirty minutes. I'll be out soon." I didn't want her to bring up the subject of what I was daydreaming about. I couldn't tell her even if I wanted to. My mouth just wouldn't let me do it.

"Oh alright then. You stay here! No talking!" she said. She took out a sketching notebook and started to doodle, twirling her long, pink, curly hair in one finger, humming silently to a song I couldn't determine. I wanted desperately to go up to her. To talk to her. To see what she was doodling. To kiss hug her, but I was in detention. Oh well.

Finally, after an eternity, she checked her phone to see that it was 4:30pm. "Ooh look at the time!" she said. "You better get going home Cheese! I'll see you tomorrow!" She smiled, showing off her white teeth. I smiled and blushed as I looked at her beautiful face.

"Bye Pinkie. I'll see you tomorrow as well."

I grabbed my books and rushed out the door. I was ready to see her again tomorrow. I was ready to see her smiling face tomorrow. To talk to her and hear her sweet voice and adorable laugh. I wanted to so badly to cuddle her and sniff her bubblegum and strawberry scented hair. Maybe even kiss her. But that was another day.
