Like this could end good.
It was a normal day at Canterlot castle, and Twilight Sparkle was walking through the corridors, searching for something, or, more exactly, somepony.
After walking around aimlessly for a while, she suddenly spotted Discord sitting in a corner and sipping chocolate milk. Thinking that is was worth a shot, she decided to ask him.
"Hi Discord! Have you seen Celestia and Luna?”
Upon hearing his name, Discord looked up from his glass of chocolate milk and gave Twilight a smudge grin.
"No, why in all of Equestria would I care about what Sun Butt and her annoying sister are doing, Star butt?"
Expecting an answere like that, She gave Discord an equally smug smile.
"Because 'Sun Butt' is your mare friend, Discord!" Twilight Sparkle giggled, rolling her eyes at Discord's blushing face.
"And for the last time Discord, it is NOT okay to call somepony something like 'Starbutt'!" She then added in sterner tone.
Discord always called her “Starbutt”, and it was starting to get annoying.
"Fiiine, I give up. Celestia is in the throne room. She is expecting some ponies from the Crystal Empire and would probaly not have anything against if you joined her, starbutt.
Igonoring that last remark, Twilight ran of to the throne room.
She opened the door to the throne room and peaked inside. Celestia was, just like she expected, sitting on the massive golden throne in the middle of the room, fully concentrated on the green crystal mare with a dark green mane that stood in front of her and talked. A detail Twilight hadn't expected, on the other hoof, was the dark blue alicorn sitting on a smaller silver throne on her sisters left side.
'But Luna is usaullay asleep at this time of day, so what are she doing here?' Twilight thought before making the crack in the door just a liiiiitle bit bigger so that she could sneak in to the room without disturbing the talking mare or her fellow Princesses.
"And I must, on behalf of her majesty Princess Mi Amoure Cadenza, express our delight if you would come, and of course also your newest princess, Twilight Sparkle, too!” The mare said as Twilight quietly entered the room.
"Did some pony say my name?" Twilight asked, making the other ponies in the room aware of her presence before walking up to the other princesses.
She passed by Luna and gave her a kiss on the cheek and a “morning”, which were replied whit a grunt that told her that Luna would be sleeping right now if she chad a choice. She gave her former mentor a warm smile wich where answered with a equally warm smile from the princess of the sun and then placed herself on the wooden throne on Celestias right side.
"Ah, yes, Mrs. Emerald Star here have invited us to their winter festival they'll be holding in a few weeks time. She also said that we could bring whit us a friend or partner, if we wish." Celestia explained, blinking with one eye to Twilight and Luna. It wasn't official that Luna and Twilight were dating yet, but it looked like it would become soon enough.
"Of course we understand if you want to come in disguise and be able to enjoy it the same way as everypony else." Emerald Star quickly added. "Princess Mi Amoure Cadenza will, as the the tradition goes, be in disguise, and at the end of festival the ponies can leave in their guesses for which pony that is her majesty in disguise. They'll also be able to guess for any other disguised royalties!"
"Oh, we will be there in disguise! right?" Luna said exitedly, looking with pleading eyes at Celestia and Twilight. She loved this kind of games!
Twilight and Celestia agreed with Luna and the crystal mare left, leaving Twilight, Celestia and Luna with the difficult task of finding Discord and convince him to join them on the trip.
Two weeks later
On the train to the Crystal Empire was two mare sitting next to each other. One of the mares, a tall batmare with greay coat, dark blue mane, leathery black bat wings and a pair of glowing light blue eyes. The other mare was a pink coated unicorn with a white mane with purple stripes and a collection of purple stars as cutiemark. This two mares was, in fact, Luna and Twilight, who had decided to call them selves Wish Shine and Selene. Two rows away was Celestia and Discord, who had decided to name them selves Sunny Days and Carnival Cloud. Celestia was a pink unicorn with a long, messy mane in diffrent shades of yellow and Discord was a brown Pegasus with a short blue and pink mane.
They had decided to stay at diffrent hotels during the visit. They wouldn't pretend they didn't knew each other, but they would only spend small amounts of time together.
After an other two hours, the train finally reached the Crystal Empire. The train cart slowly started to empty as ponies made their way out onto the train station.
When Twilight, Celestia, Luna and Discord made their way out onto the station, a pink pegasus mare with long mane in several diffrent shades of yellow ran up to them, a big grin plastered on her face. Celestia immediately understood that it was Cadance, her adopted niece, and quickly exclaimed:
"Sister! So nice to see you again! Thanks for picking us up at the station!"
Celestia embraced her 'sister' and pulled her closer, resting her head on Cadance shoulder.
"No problem! I have missed you so, so much! Cadence answered happily, returning the embrace and pulling Celestia even closer.
In Celestia ear Cadance then whispered “Candy Floss” and Celestia replayed replied “Sunny Day”.
"So, this is my stallionfriend, Carnival Cloud" Celestia said, introducing Discord. "And this is his sister, Wish Shine, and her marefriend, Selene."
After the introduction where made, Cadance showed them the way to their respective hotels and wishing them good luck.
So Twilight “Wish Shine” and Luna “Selene” checked in at their hotel. They were happy that they weren't staying with Celestia and Discord, since they had been constantly flirting and cuddling with each other since they left the station in Canterlot. Many of the ponies on the train had looked at the two love birds and giggled or rolled their eyes.
Laying down in the gigant two-ponies bed, Twilight snuggled up beside Luna, now an alicorn once again, and fell a sleep.
"Wish Shine!" Luna exclaimed on more time, even though she knew it was of no use. Even if Twilight where somewhere near, she wouldn't be able to hear her over the sound of hundreds of other ponies talking and laughing.
Suddenly, a yellow Pegasus with blue mane and tail that was wearing the golden armour of the royal guard walked up beside her.
"There you are baby! So, let's make out in the photo booth, shall we?"
Before Luna had the time to answere, the Pegasus guard started to drag her in the direction of the photo booth.
'What am. I going to do? I'm not his mare friend or whoever he think I am!'
For now, the only thing she could do was to follow the guard, but she'd need a strategy for when they reached the photo booth. The photo booth was located in the other end of the market, and maybe, just maybe, she would pass by Twilight on the way and somehow get her to help her? It was a strategy, for now, at least.
She started looking around her at all the ponies they passed by, hoping one of them would be Twilight.
"That'll be 11 bits, miss."
Twilight handled the vendor, probably a cousin or other relative of Applejack's, his 11 bits, for which he thanked and waved his hat at her as she walked away. Spending the last haf an hour looking for Luna had made her hungry and she greedily bit down into her over-priced Candy Apple. It was delishious, and she decided it had been worth 11 bits.
"Wish Shine!"
Twilight reacted almost imidiatly upon hearing her fake name. Turning around to look for whoever called her name, she saw Luna being dragged away by an all too familiars Pegasus guard.
'Flash Centry! What does he think he's doing with my mare?!'
Twilight quickly ran after the couple, which was heading for the photo booth. And everypony knew what couples did in the photo booth. Well, Twilight wasn't about to let Flash Centry do that with her mare.
Twilight charged at the photo booth, drawing open the curtains and pointing her glowing horn at Flash Centry, who momentarily was trying to wrap his forelegs around Luna.
"Flash Centry! So this is how you planned to get back on me for breaking up with you? You bastard!" Twilight exclaimed before stepping out of the way so that Luna could kick him out of the booth.
After Luna bucked Flash Centry out of the photo booth, Twilight stepped in and looked at Luna expectingly.
"Making out?" She asked.
"Making out." Luna answered before throwing her arms around Twilight and starting the make-out session.
Out side the photo booth where the two royalties now where making out, a batmare walked up beside the still confused Flash Centry laying on the ground.
"You know how I asked if you where over all your ex-mare friends before dating you?"
"Yes?"
"I should've asked if they where over you."
"Discord! Get down from that tree!"
"No! I hate it here and will stay in this tree until we're going home!"
Celestia gave up. Two hours was the longest time she could put up with her stubborn colt friend sitting in a tree before letting him have his way.
"Fine. We're going home."
"Really? Hurray!" Discord exclaimed, jumping down on to the ground.
"And her majesty Princess Mi Amoure Cadenza was in fact...Candy Floss the Pegasus! Congratulations to Amathist Shine for managing to figure that out!"
A purple Pegasus mare stepped on to the stage, receiving a boquet of flowers and a "congratulations" from her queen.
"Now" Emerald Star continued. "Because of un predicted circumstances, we only got 2 more royalties to reveal. First off, we have her highness Princess Twilight Sparkle, which in fact was...Wish Shine the unicorn! Good job Princess, no one manage to figure out that it was you!"
Twilight nodded before letting Emerald Star continue.
"And last but not least, we have her majesty Princces Luna, who during the last few days have been known as...Selene the batmare! No one was able to guess this one either, and with that done, I declare the winter festival over!"
The ponies gathered let hear of a disappointed groun before heading back to their homes to get some rest before work started again the next day.
Twilight and. Luna looked at one and an other. This had been a weird, twisted weekend, but in the end, Twilight and Luna was quite happy. The question was if Celestia was. Probably not.
