Chapter 1
I had to go faster, I needed to go faster. I felt the need for speed. I was fast and I was agile, I wasn't fast enough for the Wonderbolt's Derby though.
As I raced through the sky, the wind against my ears, it gave me urge to go faster and faster until boom; I did a Sonic Rainboom, landing on a field nearby I went to grab my drink bottle only to find out it wasn't there. Sighing I deciding to go home and that's when I saw it, the blue bottle that in my haste I drank from. Suddenly I felt a burning sensation throughout my body and when I looked down I saw my fur had turned a brilliant white and my mane sticking up on end.
Because I had finished my training for the day I decided to head to the library to see if the egghead could figure out what had happened to me. I took the bottle with me just in case it was important. What would have normally taken me a 5 minute flight only took me a minute before I was knocking at the library door.
After examining the bottle and me, Twilight had concluded that I had ingested Nitrous Oxide and that I needed to be studied until it passed though my system.
After receiving a lecture on what I could and couldn't do that I didn't pay any attention to, I took off for Cloudsdale so I could speak to the Wonderbolts Commander, Spitfire. After commenting and questioning me, Spitfire agreed for a one on one special race with me for the Wonderbolt's Derby.
Nervously I waited at the gates waiting for the main race to be over, when the announcer read out that a special race would be taking place, a race between the Captain of the Wonderbolts, Spitfire and the Element of Harmony, Rainbow Dash.
After wishing me the best of luck Spitfire and I took our places on the starting grid. Excitedly I braced myself as we started the race, but as soon as we started I noticed my fur was starting to fade back to blue. Noticing this Spitfire sped up and slowly started to overtake me. Just as I thought the race was lost, my fur turned white again and I took of leaving a blur of white with a faint tinge of rainbow behind me. Spitfire gasped as I shot over the finish line before my fur returned to its normal shade of blue.
Everypony was congratulating me, well everypony except Twilight who was furious at me for doing something so stupid, grinning sheepishly I went up to her and said "at least I didn't do a Sonic Rainboom."
That was the last thing I remember before I woke up in hospital with my head bandaged with all my friends around me, breathing a huge sigh of relief. Sitting up, rubbing my head saying that was a funny dream, I asked, what happened, to which Twilight responded, "you ingested Nitrous Oxide and won the Wonderbolts Derby, before you passed out from a Sonic Rainboom."
"Oh." I replied.
*earlier in Canterlot Castle*
I was wondering around the castle garden as bored as ever, now that Tia sent me to be reformed, I had to use my magic for good. Heading to a bare patch of the garden, I stopped before my thinking tree sprouted. Pondering as my precious tree grew with me in it, I decided that I needed to do something fun and get out of the castle for once. That was when I decided to visit my Ponyville friends, but I still had the dilemma of what to do or who to see first. As my tree kept growing, one of the castle windows opened before a head popped out and told me to go think somewhere else as my tree growing had woken her.
Grumbling I got down from my tree and started floating next to the window, "My apologies Princess, but since you are up, may I ask you, which one of my Ponyville friends should I prank?"
After pondering for a few minutes, the Princess of the Night replied, " Prank Rainbow Dash, that pony likes a good prank." With that the Princess departed and I teleported to a field outside of Ponyville where I found none other Rainbow Dash practicing her new tricks to impress the Wonderbolts. Deciding to be a good friend but to prank her at the same time, I took her water bottle and filled it with a mysterious substance that would help her fly faster and win in the big Wonderbolts race.
After watching her race around for a while she ended up reaching Cloudsdale where she spoke to Fireball or whatever her name was, who agreed to race her at the big race. At the race, it was clear who was winning but during the race the substance started to wear off, worried I used a bit of my magic to boost it in her system. Everyponys jaw dropped including mine when she burst into a brilliant flash of white light which then proceeded into a sonic rainboom.
Rainbow herself wasn't so lucky when she was looking back she crashed head first into a pillar after winning the race.
After watching Rainbow getting carted of to the Ponyville hospital I felt a really bad pain in my stomach, I'm not sure what it was but I'm pretty sure it had to do with Rainbow crashing at the race. Feeling the pain build up I slowly made my way to the hospital, bracing myself for what was to come. Upon entering her room I was suddenly assaulted by questions from Twilight, Rarity and Applejack. Raising my hands I sat down and answered their questions, saying that I was there and had seen what happened.
What I didn't tell them was I was the cause of what happened, after all they wouldn't understand a prank, not like Rainbow would.
Sitting away from the girls, I cracked a smile that they couldn't see when our friend woke up. Needless to say, after explaining to Rainbow what happened, I got a high 5 for a good prank but also a cold shoulder. I could live with that.
Now time to put this journal away before Tia finds it. Night all you little ponies - Discord.
