When the family goes to Manehatten for the Ball Drop, Dr. Hooves figures that the ball is actually a bomb. And the real ball is trapped and locked up about to be destroyed by the Gradient Spark. Our favorite doctor must save them with magic and TIME.

When the family goes to Manehatten for the Ball Drop, Dr. Hooves figures that the ball is actually a bomb. and the real ball is trapped and locked up about to be destroyed by the Gradient Spark. The two mares continues the night with boredom. Then out most beloved doctor has to try to fix up the New Years with magic, adventure, and especially TIME.

After Christmas, and after very time consuming adventures, everyone would like to take a little rest. Derpy was by the stove cooking some stew, and Dinky was outside, playing with the CMC's. Derpy opened the door and called Dinky inside to eat the stew she cooked.
And inside the old police box is our most beloved doctor, Doctor Hooves. He unhooked the wires of his newly invented counsel and stepped in the kitchen with Derpy. ''Hello, Doctor. I'm so glad your here. The Ball Drop is tonight and we don't want to miss it.''

''Thank you, Ditzy. Do we have to catch a train?'' said Dr. Hooves.

''Of course, is there something wrong with that idea?''

Doctor Hooves suddenly felt scared of being on a train. He was afraid because out of all of the crime scenes he fixed with Tardis, he wasn't sure if there wouldn't be a crime on this one. But he was afraid to tell Derpy. Or let down Ditzy. But he had to tell and so he did,

''Derpy, I'm am afraid of trains. And I'd most likely be afraid of this one as well as of all those other crimes I've solved before.''

She rubbed his face and hugged him. This really helped him calm down about trains. Dinky entered the door halfway to alert them that they were late for the train. They quickly exited out of the door. While outside, the stumbled upon a bus that could lead them to the train station. ''All aboard! All ponies get on the bus!'' said the bus driver cheerfully.

Doctor was carrying his Tardis by pushing it with his muzzle trying to move it along. He lifted it up on the bus but not before the police box was not allowed on the bus with the passengers. The driver pushed it off the bus into their lawn.

''Daddy Hooves! Get over here! We found a seat for us to sit at!'' Dinky Doo yelled over to him.

He walked over there and sat next to Derpy. He felt a nudge of a leg on his side. It was her scooting over closer to him. She laid on him. The sky grew black and they were ready to go to bed. The family walked into the bedroom cart of the train. Dinky crawled into hers as Derpy tucked her in the covers. In the middle of the night Dinky laid awake worrying if the train crime were to actually true.

She walked up to the window and cited her grandmother's word for making a wish:
I wish I may, I wish I might. I have this wish, I wish tonight.
I don't want this to be a crime, I just wanna have a great train ride.

The train ride was now stopped at their destination. The family was staying at a hotel in room 617 until New Years began in Manehatten. That time was 12 hours from then. It was 12:00 a.m. It was a bit too early to be getting off the train but they can't just wait inside. The driver called all the passengers off the train. Everypony thought the train ride was very relaxing. But not Dr. Hooves.
He was too busy thinking that there was something wrong with that train ride. And that something is going to happen to the Ball Drop event.

''C'mon, Daddy Hooves! Let's get going!'' Dinky Doo called aloud to him.

He was scared so he walked very slowly to watch out for any trouble. He studied all of the windows and the ponies on and by the hotel buildings and markets as he walked inside. While inside, he saw Dinky having fun, already. Hooves passed by her and walked to their room.

When he walked inside, he only saw buttons on the walls and scissors on the ground. It looked like a sewing company inside that room. He turned on the lights and realizes that those ''sewing buttons'' on the walls were not meant for crafting.

You were supposed to press one of them. Hooves scanned through all the buttons and pressed each one. Most of them had something to do with food and robotic things to get stuff for you when your lazy. He considered most of them as boring buttons for some of the most boring uses. He then stumbled up against the largest button he has ever seen. It was lying on a stele.

Dr. Hooves pressed the button. But nothing seemed to happen. But something did happen. A shadowy figure popped out of the blue behind the stand that the button was on.

''Who are you?'' Dr. Hooves asked. The shadowy figure did not answer. It snatched him up and brought him outside. He snapped his fingers and everything changed. They were in Manehatten. He knew this was a dream. I had to be. But it couldn't if
a pony was able to come up to him and talk.

''Are you the doctor? I need a doctor. You have to help us!'' said the pony as she pointed to the giant building that the ball was dropping from. The doctor investigated the ball and looked closely and realized that this was not a ball, it was a bomb.
He ran up to his humble police box and went inside. And with a single press of a button, he was gone to another time somewhere else to save the world.

The crowd was cheering out his name.

The Doctor was on his way of saving the world in another world somewhere ready to save everyone in his universe.

''Be My Guest.''

''Wake up my friend.'' said the shadowy figure that dragged him outside,''Hello?''

The do didn't wake up. He was too busy dreaming about him Tardis disappearing. Then he woke up. Hooves was very tired but he had a mission to accomplish. ''Don't wake me up while I'm dreaming. Got it?'' the doctor said in a strong tone.

''Yes sir. Now, let's get out of here so we can achieve.''

''There is no way I'm going somewhere with a ghost like you!''

The shadow ignored him and dragged him outside out the Tardis. The ghost dropped him on the ground and took out a book. He gave it to him for future references.
The Book was as entitled: Journeys of my Wife

''How did you get this? This is Derpy's journal. We'd always used to write in here together like it wasn't personal. But it was. And you have it! '' Doctor Hooves said. He was furious on why some ghost he has just met had his own relationship journal. Did he already read it?

''Look inside, and you'll see what your supposed to do.'' said the ghost as he flew away.

Dr. Hooves looked in the journal. He scanned across all the pages and found a note on page 12. It stated:

''What does that even say?''

Hooves waved his hand and yelled for the ghost attention, ''Help ghost! Help me! I don't know what this says'' so loud, but the ghost was sure he could handle it. He then realized that he was a doctor of time. That he could handle this himself. And so he did.

He walked back into TARDIS and saw the bag of muffins in the corner.

''Now I wish I bought Derpy along with me. She would've done so much and gotten this mission done before it even started.'' he said,'' But how do I do that without figuring out what that thing even means?''

He just pressed the button desperate to give up. So there he went. Going back to the present not knowing what to do about his beloved citizens, the Ball Drop and, of course, his family.

Was it a good idea to give up on a mission? Dr. Hooves thought to himself. He walked out of the police box and stared at the city. Nothing changed. Everyone was still screaming and hollering. The bomb was still about to drop. But he didn't mind and just walked back home. Hooves just sat on his couch like a lump.

''Doctor Hooves! You did nothin' but sit here the whole entire time!'' Derpy yelled. The word time popped up into his head. He just stared in her eyes not paying attention to a word she's been saying,'' What happened to the one who fixes time. Your normally up and running TARDIS and time traveling!''

''Don't try to encourage me to do things that I don't wanna do!'' he yelled.

''But time traveling is your job!'' Derpy yelled again.

''First of all, time traveling is not not a job!!! Second of all, WORRY ABOUT YOUR OWN LIFE!''

''Your supposed to help ponies! This is not what a Doctor Of Time is supposed to do! Now get up and WORK!''

''If your going to tell me what to do. . . . .'' Hooves was trying to think of the most meanest thing he would ever say. He didn't want her to tell him what to do. He wanted to do what he wanted. He knew traveling through time was his destiny, but it didn't feel this way.

''I WISH YOU WERE NEVER MY WIFE! I WISH YOU'S STOP TELLING ME WHAT TO DO AND DIE!''

This was probably the meanest thing he's ever said to anypony before. He got up and walked out of the house. He yelled so loud that Dinky could here him from her bedroom that was all the way down the halls. She ran out of the room and into the living room and asked, ''Mommy, where is 'Daddy Hooves'' and what happened in here?''

''Your dad is gone. He said he'd give give up on time traveling. He told me I was telling him what to do and wished I would die.'' Derpy replied.

When outside, the doctor saw the bomb was going to blow up in any second then. He still didn't know what to do about the note. And this time, he really gave up. Nothing was more important to him than himself. The bomb started to catch on fire. And what came out of the fire was that same ghost who gave him the note. He had a match with
him. it looked like he was trying to make the fire explode even more. Spreading more fire and smoke across Equestria. And burning up more ponies.

He realized what he had to do. He took out a notepad and a pencil. I guess if I can't guess what this note means, I should decode it, instead.

He wrote everything he needed down:

And he did. Hooves looked in his work journal. And there they were. The instructions to his time traveling mission.

Fixing Things Up

You should first apologize to your wife. The you must go back to the time when you pressed the button and cut it off, instead of pressing it. Finally you must-

The rest of the page was smudged. How was he supposed to know what to do? He checked one more time, flipping the pages and squinted his eyes.
But it was true that nothing was there. Does the ghost think I can handle this on my own? He thought to himself.

A shadow started to peek over his shoulders. It snapped it's fingers and threw the doctor off focus.

''How is the research going? I can see that everything is going perfectly fine. You better start working.'' It said. This ghost was not anymore safe then those Christmas ghost he met.

Hooves ditched the shadow and walked back into Tardis. He tripped over something while walking inside. A microphone. He picked it up and hollered across the town.

''The Doctor is back! And not by himself this time!'' He set the microphone back down as everyone cheered out his name,'' Doctor Hooves, Doctor Hooves!''

''Hit it, Tardis. I think my retirement hours, are now officially over.'' he claimed.

Tardis activated itself and traveled back into time when the doctor first pressed the button.

''Remember, don't press the button.'' Tardis reminded him. He tried not to trip and accidentally press the button. Since this was the place with buttons and scissors, he picked up a pair. He pulled the scissor blades apart and cut the button off.

The lights shut down and the Tardis disappeared. I cannot do this without Tardis. So he left. Hooves checked outside and the sky was covered in lava red with lightning.
Flames were everywhere. On top of houses and even burning up a couple of ponies. Lightning shocked half of the citizens in the city.

Better than the last time

''Oh no. What am I supposed to do? Only if Derpy was here.''

This mission was very hard without her. Hooves ran back to the house. The ghost appeared again.
The shadowy figure looked like he ruin his life on purpose. I lost my wife, and now my dignity.

''What are you waiting for? A simple knock will do.'' said the ghost,,'' Well, go on.''

Hooves felt like that was the only thing to do. He reached at the door and then. . . . . A knife stuck through the door. It struck him in his hoof and his throat. He fell right back on his head, too. It felt like the world was nonexistent. Only the thick black smoke was what he was aware of.

''Ughh. Why are you-''

Before he knew it, his eyes shut. All 5 senses were gone.

Back in Derpy's house, Dinky was drawing a picture of her daddy. Tears shredded from her eyes.
As she got up to show Derpy the picture, noises came from the windows. Dinky opened up the blinds.
The sky was flaming red. Lightning shot her. She into the ran into the living room in fright alerting mother.

''Mom! I saw an explosion happen outside of my windows! I don't think Daddy Hooves is alright!''

Derpy quickly opened the door to find her ex-husband dead on the ground. She ran out and sat downoto him. She looked his body and saw his Sonic Screwdriver. It was covered in blood. Derpy picked it up.
She began to cry and then said: ''Why would I leave you alone? I should be able to help you.''

Holding the screwdriver, she leaned down and gave him a passionate kiss. Out of nowhere, a blue electric shock blasted across the land. It blew out the fires like they were never there before. The sky was blue again. The ghost was gone.

''Um, doctor? It's Colgate. You've accomplished your mission . And someone else needs you, too.''

A gray pony with a blond mane peeked from behind Colgate. She was looking at Dr. Hooves. He was actually alive this time.

''Derp-''

Before he could finish his sentence, Derpy kissed him on the lips more than ever before.

Even if you work alone, people will always offer to help. And sometimes saying yes to help,
is better than saying no to struggle. Which will you choose?
