When a spell goes wrong Twilight is turned back into a filly.
When Twilight finds a book some advanced spells she can't resist but read it and try to perform them. Unfortunately the spell back fired and turned Twilight back into a filly. Having no memory of her adult life, can her friends find a cure for her? Or will she have to start life over again?
Twilight was in her room studying some new books. Since her old books got destroyed, Princess Celestia let her get some books from her old castle. The first one she was studding was advanced spells. She looked at her book and started to flip through some pages to try and find one she liked the most.
After a few minutes she found an age spell. She remembered when she fought Trixie and tricked her about the age spell. But how cool would it be if she could actually perform it? She decided to start with that one. She decided to try it on an apple. She placed it down and focused her magic on the apple. She blocked off everything else. Her horn started glowing and she was about to fire the spell until The door suddenly opened and Spike came in and startling her. She accidentally shot the spell the wrong direction and it ended up hitting her drawer mirror.
She tried to hide from the magic blast that was bouncing around. Unfortunately it ended up finally hitting her making her fall on the ground unconscious.
Spike ran over to Twilight and started shacking her.
"Twilight? Twilight, wake up!" Spike yelled. "Don't worry, i'll go get help."
Spike ran out of the room as quickly as he could to go get Twilight's friends. He came back with them a few minutes later but Spike didn't see a single sign of Twilight.
"I don't get it she was right here!" Spike said. Looking at the five mares behind him.
"Are you sure Spike. I don't see Twi anywhere. Maybe you didn't see what you think." AppleJack said.
"I'm pretty sure I wouldn't imagine Twilight blasting herself with a ray of magic. I know she was here. We have to look for her." Spike said.
The five mares looked at each other and then back at Spike.
"Alright, where do you think Twilight would go?" Asked Rainbow Dash asked.
"Um...well....I don't know." Spike said. "Maybe she's in town."
"Well I guess we could go have a look." Rainbow Dash said.
All of them went out to town to search for Twilight. But what they didn't notice was a small little filly waking up and pocking her head out of a small blanket. She looked around and was confused to where she was.
"Where am I? This isn't Canterlot Castle." Twilight said. She got out of the blanket and noticed she had small wings. She freaked out and quickly looked at herself in the mirror. "What?! Since when do I have wings?!" Twilight said.
She looked out of the balcony and saw a small town. Suddenly another thought crossed her mind. She turned around and started searching the room.
"Spike! Spike are you here?" She called.
"I have to get back to Canterlot." Twilight said. She started walking around the castle trying every turn but not finding a single way out. She stopped to take a break until she herd hooves and talking. She peeked around the corner and saw five ponies and a dragon that looked similar to Spike. She quietly started following them to listen to their conversation.
"I can't believe we searched the entire town and still couldn't find Twilight." Rainbow said.
"I hope she isn't hurt." Fluttershy said.
"What if the poor dear is lost?" Rarity said.
"Come on yea'll, let's think positive." AppleJack said.
"Yeah. Like when we find her we can throw a 'we found Twilight party' !" Pinkie said trying to lighten the mood.
Twilight was confused as to why the five mares were looking for her. Did they know her? Were they nice? What if they foal-napped her and that's the reason she couldn't remember anything?! The thought of it made Twilight panic and get scared. She wasn't paying attention to where she was walking anymore and she bumped into an ornament and dropped it. The noise wasn't missed by the five ponies and dragon. They turned around and saw a small Twilight looking at them with wide eyes.
"Ahh!" Twilight screamed before she started running the opposite direction.
The others were dumb founded not knowing what just happened.
"Was that...?" Rarity asked not able to finish the sentence.
Pinkie was the first to snap out of it and go back to reality.
"An absolutely adorable small Twilight? Yes it was." Asked Pinkie with a smile.
"Maybe we should go catch her." Spike said.
Everypony looked at each other before they started running after Twilight. They found her under a chair shivering. Fortunately she didn't notice them since she had her eyes closed. Rarity levitated the chair up and AppleJack picked up Twilight making her open her eyes and scream.
"Let me go! Let me go!" Twilight yelled while she squirmed and tried to get out of AJ grasp.
"Why are you trying to hide from us Sugercube?" Applejack asked.
"I don't know you!" Leave me alone!" Twilight yelled with a few tears escaping because of how scared she was.
"Don't think she remembers us." Pinkie Said.
Fluttershy saw how terrified she looked and took her out of Applejack's hooves.
"Shhhh, it's alright. I'm not going to hurt you." Fluttershy said. With those words Twilight looked up at her and stopped squirming. Happy with the result Fluttershy put her down. "There, see. We don't want to hurt you. We just want to help you Twilight." Fluttershy said.
"Yeah, these are your friends. Don"t you remember?" Asked Spike.
Twilight looked at the baby dragon a while before she spoke.
"Spike? Is that you? You're so big." Twilight said.
"Well at least you remember me." Spike said."What's the last thing you remember?"
"Umm...I just finished my lesson with Princess Celestia and it was late so she took me to my room and laid down next to me with a wing around me. She sang me a lullaby until I fell asleep." Twilight said.
"Aawww." The five friends said.
"We knew you and the princess were close but not that close." Rarity said. "It is absolutely adorable."
"But I woke up here and I don't know what's going on. Everything is different and I don't know what to do." Twilight said starting to cry again.
Fluttershy quickly picked her up and started singing a soft lullaby. Twilight's cries turned into little hiccups and then sniffs until her eyes started feeling heavy and she fell asleep in FlutterShy's hooves.
"Aww, she is the most adorable thing when she sleeps." Pinkie said.
"Focus Pinkie." Applejack said. "We need to figure out what to do."
"We should probably send a letter to the Princess telling her about this. She would probably know what to do." Fluttershy said.
"I already did." Spike said. "Before I went to find all of you I sent a quick letter to her saying that Twilight was in trouble."
"Do you think she got it?" Rainbow asked.
"Yes I did." Said a voice behind them. They turned around and saw Princess Celestia standing there. "I'm sorry I couldn't be here sooner my little ponies. I was at a meeting and I just barley got out of there." Celestia said.
"It's alright Princess we understand. We have a mighty big situation here." Applejack said.
"What is it? Is Twilight alright?" Celestia asked.
Fluttershy walked up to the princess and revealed a small sleeping Twilight. She was surprised to see her student had been able to turn herself into a small filly again.
"Do you think you can help her princess?" Fluttershy asked.
"I can do my best, but an age spell isn't easy. In the meantime we should inform her family. We are going to have to get to know Filly Twilight Sparkle. After all, I have a feeling that she's going to stay with is for a while." Celestia said.
Twilight woke up in the same bed that she started with. But this time she wasn't alone. She saw Princess Celestia standing on the balcony looking outside. The fear and worry Twilight had a while ago vanished instead it was replaced by joy. She tried to untangle her way out of the sheets to get to her teacher but failed. she ended up falling out of bed with a thump. Celestia turned around and levitated the sheets of of Twilight's head.
"Thank you." Twilight said happy to not be tangled by the evil blanket anymore. She stood up and gave her teacher a warm smile.
"You're welcome. I'm happy to see that you're awake." Celestia said. "Did you enjoy your nap?"
"Yes. But I still don't know what's going on. Where are we? Why are we here? Who were those ponies? Why does Spike look older?" Twilight asked.
"Calm down Twilight. I know you have a lot of questions but you need to relax." Celestia said slightly giggling seeing how that part of Twilight didn't change a bit. "Even if I told you what happened I don't think you're old enough to understand."
"Yes I can! I'm a big pony!" Twilight said yelling stomping her hooves.
"Don't you raise your voice young filly. I promise I will tell you, when I understand better the situation." Celestia said in a stern voice.
Twilight backed down and nodded her head seeing that it would be best to not push it anymore.
"I'm just confused. I didn't mean to yell." Twilight said in a soft voice.
Celestia pulled Twilight into a hug and wrapped her under her wings.
"I know you are. But everything is ok. You don't have to worry." Celestia said even though she wasn't sure it was ok herself.
"Ok." Twilight said as she pulled away and smiled.
Suddenly the room doors opened and five ponies and a dragon came in.
"We've looked everywhere Princess. We have no idea what spell she used." Applejack said.
"Well we better keep looking. We're going to need the spell if we ever want to turn her back." Celestia said.
"But how are we ever going to find that book? We don't know where she left it and she's not going to remember. " Fluttershy said.
"Is it this book?" Twilight's little voice asked.
Everyone turned around and looked at Twilight who had a book in her hooves.
"Where did you find that?" Asked Rainbow.
"It was sticking out from under the bed." Twilight said.
Celestia took the book and started flipping through the pages to try and find the spell Twilight used. It took her a while but she finally found it. However what she read made her worry.
"What does it say Princess?" Asked Rarity.
"Is Twilight going to turn back into older Twilight?" Asked Pinkie.
"It says that the only pony that can undo the spell is the pony who performed the spell in the first place." Celestia said. "Meaning that only Twilight can undo the spell."
"WHAT!!" Everyone yelled.
"Does that mean that Twilight is going to stay like that?!" Rainbow asked.
"Can't you try to undo the spell anyway?" Asked Rarity.
"I guess I can try." Celestia said.
Everyone looked at Twilight making her feel uncomfortable.
"Why are all of you looking at me like that?" asked Twilight.
"Hold still." Celestia said before she started performing the spell.
Twilight's eyes widened when she felt herself being pick up from the ground and started getting wrapped around by a magical aura. Celestia tried to focus her magic as much as she could but lost control and dropped Twilight.
"oww, that hurt." Twilight said getting up. "What was that going to do anyway. What's going on."
"We have to try and find another way to fix this." Celestia said.
"Can I help?" asked Twilight.
"I don't think so Sugercube. Maybe you should go and play while we try and fix this problem." Applejack said.
"What problem?! And wont anypony tell me?! What is so important?!" Twilight asked very angry.
"Twilight Sparkle. What have I told you about raising your voice to older ponies? It is non of your concern for now. When you need to know I will tell you. But for now run along and go play. " Celestia said putting Twilight outside the door and closing it.
Twilight pouted and crossed her hooves.
"I don't get it. What is so important that nopony can tell me? I'm old enough to understand. It's just not fair." Twilight said as she stood up and walked around.
She didn't know what to do so she decided to just to walk around the castle and explore the castle. She was looking around but stopped when she saw the big kitchen. She walked in and suddenly got a devious smile on her face.
"If they want me to have fun, I'll have fun." Twilight said.
She got pounds of flower, eggs, milk, water, and a whole lot of other crazy stuff. When she was done she put all the stuff in a bag and looked around the castle for more stuff.
"Now all I need is ropes, balloons, and buckets. " Twilight said to herself.
She ran around the castle looking for everything she needed and when she was done she gathered all her stuff together.
"This is going to be the best prank ever ! ! " Twilight said all exited. "They're never going to see this coming."
"What are we supposed to do know? It will take a while before we find another way to find out how to help Twilight. Who's going to take care of her?" Rarity asked.
"Maybe it's best if she stays with the princess. She is the only one that Twilight remembers. It will probably be easier on her." Fluttershy said.
"I think you're right." Rainbow said starting to walk towards the door. "Well then we better go and find her."
Rainbow opened the door and a bucket of cold water fell on top of her. She jumped from her spot and took the bucket off her head.
"Hay! Pinkie did you do this?" Rainbow asked angrily.
"What? Why would you think that I did this? I was with all of you the whole time." Pinkie said defensively.
"Yeah but you always do things that nopony can explain." Rainbow said.
"Ok point taken. But it wasn't me this time." Pinkie said.
"Who else could it be?"
"Maybe it was her." Pinkie said pointing at Twilight who was down the hallway laughing.
"You?!" Rainbow asked surprised.
"Maaaaybeeee." Twilight said in a teasing voice before she ran off.
Rainbow was about to after her until Applejack stopped her.
"Calm down Rainbow. She's just a filly." AJ said.
"I wouldn't underestimate her Applejack. Twilight can be some trouble as a little filly." Celestia said.
"How troublesome?" Fluttershy asked.
"When she was just starting to study with me she would get bored after she finished all her lessons. She would go around playing some pranks on the guards. She would start with a small prank and eventually it got bigger and messier. Fortunately she grew out of quickly. Thank goodness." Celestia said.
"In that case, we better catch her as soon as we can." Rarity said.
"We have to make sure that we look carefully around us. She was always good at hiding her pranks." Celestia said.
"Please it's just Twilight. All of you are acting like she's dangerous. What could a harmless prank do?" Spike said walking out. After the sixth step he took he tripped on small wire. He fell on the ground and got dumped on by eggs and milk. When he finally got up he looked at the other ponies who were looking at him trying not to laugh.
"You were saying? Applejack said.
Spike just rolled his eyes at the comment.
"Let's just go find her and get this over with." Spike said.
They began to walk down the hallways looking out for any more traps that Twilight could have set for them.
"Twilight! Come out!" Celestia called.
There was no answer. Instead they just herd giggling. They turned around and saw Twilight standing behind them. She was smiling and laughing loud.
"There she is." AppleJack said running towards her. Unfortunately she didn't look where she was going and got caught in a rope on the ground. Next thing she knew was that she was hanging from a rope up side down.
"I think i've just had enough with this." Applejack said with unamused face.
Rainbow Dash flew up and untied AppleJack making her fall on the ground.
"Sorry." RainbowDash said.
"It's fine. But we have to catch Twilight before she gets into even more trouble." AppleJack said.
"In that case we better hurry." Celestia said continuing to walk down the hall.
"When we get Twilight fixed, she's going to get it." RainbowDash said.
"We did sort of push her away. Maybe she was mad that we didn't tell her anything. She's probably trying to get even." Pinkie said.
"I guess she's right. She did get mad when we didn't tell her what's going on. I even saw her face getting a little red when she kept asking us." AppleJack said.
"We needed to make sure we knew everything first. We couldn't tell Twilight until we were certain what was going on. We needed to know how we were going to fix it." Celestia said. "Now we just need to catch Twilight and explain it to her."
"It sounds easier than it is Princess." Rarity said. "I never thought Twilight could be so much trouble when she wants to."
Twilight ran around the castle when she stopped when she saw a big door.
"That has to be the exit!" Twilight yelled. "I should probably get out of here while I can."
Twilight ran out the door and started running through the town. She looked back to see if they saw her when she crashed into somepony.
"Sorry." Twilight said getting up and looking at three fillies.
"It's ok. It was an acident." One of them said. "Hay, you look familier."
"I'm Twilight Sparkle." Twilight said.
"Twilight?!" The three fillies asked shocked.
"Yes. Why are you so shocked?" Asked Twilight. "Who are you?"
"I'm Applebloom. This is Sweetie bell and scootaloo. And we're just shocked becouse...well...why are you a filly?" Asked Applebloom.
"I don't know what you're talking about but I have to go. I played some tricks on some ponies and now they're after me." Twilight said. "I think I overdid it, so now I'm on the run."
"Who did you prank?" Asked Scootaloo.
"Twilight!" They looked behind them and saw the main 5 and princess Celestia.
"Them." Twilight said before she took off in a run. She started running as fast as she could trying to avoide them. She turned a corner and hid in an Ally. They passed by and she got out and turned around to start running back where she came from. She passed the building where she saw the three fillies but they were got. They must have left. She kept running until somepony pulled her aside into another ally.
"Hay." Twilight said looking at who grabbed her. She noticed it was the three fillies and sighed in relive. "Good it's just you three."
"Wow, whatever you did, my sister and her friends don't look too happy about." Applebloom said.
"Your sister?" Twilight asked.
"Applejack's my sister."
"And Rarity is mine."
"And Rainbow dash is like my big sister."
"Really? Wow." Twilight said. "At least they're not chase ing you."
"What pranks did you do?" Asked Scootaloo.
"Just a few. I wanted to do more but then they looked mad after the third." Twilight said. "I'm great when it comes to pranks. And learning."
"I know how to do some great pranks too." Scootaloo said.
"I did this prank on my sister and it was the funniest ever." Sweetie bell said.
"Please, if any one knows how to make a good prank, it's me. I'm a pro." Applebloom said.
"You know what this means right?" Asked Scootaloo.
The three fillies looked at each other and smiled.
"Cutie Mark Crusaders Pranksters!!" They yelled at the same time.
"What do you say Twilight? Up for a little compitition?" Asked Applebloom.
Twilight looked at the three before a smile appeared on her face.
"You three are on." Twilight said putting her hoof out.
"Let the best prank win!" They yelled before they ran off to couase trouble.
"Where in Equestria did she go? She was right in front of us just a minute ago." Rainbow Dash said.
"She's a smart filly. I got to hand her that." Applejack said.
"Now she could be anywhere. In the lake, eating a cupcake, snowboarding, *gasp* What if she went to mainhatten?" Asked Pinkie Pie.
"Why would she go to mainhatten?" asked Fluttershy.
"I know a really cool disco club there." Pinkie said.
"Focus girls. We need to find Twilight." Celestia said.
"I found her." said Pinkie.
"What? Where is she?" Celestia asked.
"She on top of that house with SweetieBell, AppleBloom, and Scootaloo." Pinkie said pointing at the top of the house.
"What are you fillies doing up there?! Get down before you hurt yourself!" Applejack yelled.
The three fillies just gave a slight giggle. Rainbow Dash flew up to get them but when she got there she saw that they were all holding pies in their hooves. Before she had time to react on of them yelled 'fire!' and they threw their pies at her making her lose control and fall. The four fillies started to laugh and Twilight quickly teleported them out of there.
"Are you alright Rainbow?" asked Fluttershy.
Rainbow just muttered something between the line 'dumb pranks' and 'get them back'.
"This has gone too far. Now our sisters are pulling pranks too." Rarity said. "Princess, do you happen to know any favorite pranks Twilight likes doing? Maybe it can help us catch them."
The princess thought for a second. "Actually, Twilight did really like water pranks. She would do most of her pranks near a lake or pond or anything that had a lot of water." She said.
"Maybe she's at the lake." Pinkie suggested.
"But what if she already set something up?" asked Fluttershy.
"I say we send somepony to go first. That way when they're planning her prank the rest of us can catch them." Rainbow said.
"Who would go be the be the bait?" asked Celestia.
"Oh oh oh I will! I will!" Pinkie said.
"You wouldn't care about getting pranked?" asked AppleJack.
"It's just a prank. You have to learn to laugh at it not get mad at it." Pinkie said. "Don't you remember when me and Rainbow were pulling pranks on everypony? We just did it for a laugh, we didn't hurt anypony."
"I guess you're right." Applejack said. "But it did take we a while to get all the apples clean though. How did you two manage to do that so fast anyway?"
"I can't reveal our tricks silly." Pinkie said.
"Let's get back on topic. Pinkie Pie, go ahead and go to the lake to see if they're there." Celestia said.
"Oki doky loki!" Pinkie cheered as she skipped to the lake. She started to look around to see if they were there but didn't see anything. "The cost is clear" She said. She started bouncing back over to her friends, but before she reached them she saw a swing going towards her knocking her into the lake.
Up on top of the tree you could hear the laughter of four fillies. Rainbow Dash tried catching them again but they teleported fast and the only one she caught before they did teleport away was scootaloo. She flew back down with the filly in her hooves and placed her down in front of her. Scootaloo looked around around and saw she was surrounded by very mad ponies. She gave a nervous laugh but then looked at the ground.
"Why are you three pulling pranks with Twilight?! Do you know how hard it is just to catch her?!" asked an angry Rainbow.
"Well, we saw Twilight when she was running away from you guys. We wanted to know what was going on so we help her get away. Then we started talking and we got to the point of seeing who could pull of the best prank." Scootaloo said.
"So you four just decided that pulling pranks is the right idea?" Applejack asked.
"um...yes?" said Scootaloo.
"Well it wasn't nice of you to play pranks on us when we're trying to catch somepony. Even if they were kind of funny." Pinkie said. "Especially the Rainbow Pie one."
"That one was my prank." Said Scootaloo with a proud smile but it soon disappeared when Rainbow gave her a disapproving look.
"Do you know where they were going next ?" asked Princess Celestia.
"umm...well...i'm not really supposed to say." Scootaloo said.
"Squirt, if you don't talk I guess i'm going to have to let your mom know about what you've been up to." Rainbow said.
Scootaloo eyes widened. "ok ok, they went to Rarity's shop." Scootaloo said.
"What?!" Rarity yelled and started running to her shop.
"What prank are they going to pull over there?" asked Rainbow Dash.
"I don't know. But Sweetie Bell said that is was going to be really funny." Scootaloo said.
"How do you not know what pranks their pulling? You were all together?" asked Rainbow.
"But we don't really know what pranks we're going to pull. We just help each other. It's a contest. I didn't tell them what my prank was, I just told them what to do. And Twilight comes with us to teleport us out." Scootaloo said.
"What, how does Twilight managed to teleport them all away? I've never seen a filly do that." Applejack said.
"They can't. But Twilight is still an Alicorn. An Alicorn's magic is much more powerful than any unicorn's. Even a filly Alicorn." Celestia said.
"Then we should be heading to help Rarity and catch them." Applejack said.
"You guys go. I'm going to go take squirt home and catch up." Rainbow Dash said picking Scootaloo up and placing her on her back before flying off.
They rest of them made their way to Rarity's shop to go and help her out.
When they got to Rarity's shop and opened the door the first thing that they noticed was that all her clothes were gone. Then a very agree Rarity came down stairs holding a Sweetiebell.
"What happened in here?!" Pinkie Pie asked.
Rarity put Sweety down and gave her a death glare. Sweetie just tried to hide in a small ball and trying to avoid her sister's gaze.
"That is what i'd like to know. Sweetie bell care to explain?" Rarity asked.
"Um, not really..."
"SweetieBell!"
"ok ok ok. I hide all your clothes wear you couldn't see them to see how long it takes you to find them." Sweetie said. "But you came home to early."
"Wear are my designs?" asked Rarity.
"Their outside in the bushes." SweetieBell said.
"What?!" Rarity yelled. She ran out of the store in less than a second to find her things.
Princess Celestia bent down and looked at SweetieBell.
"SweetieBell, where is Twilight and Applebloom?" she asked.
"They went to sweet apple acres." she said.
"Oh great." Applejack said. "What are we waiting for? Let's go get them."
"You stay here. Rarity is going to want to talk to you when she gets back." Fluttershy told SweetieBell.
When the group made their way into the farm they started looking for signs of the two fillies. Pinkie Pie was searching the fields, Fluttershy searched the barn and Applejack and princess Celestia looked around the house.
"Do you think we'll find them soon princess?" Applejack asked.
"They must be getting tired of running around. Especially Twilight since she's been teleporting a lot." Celestia said.
"Maybe they're in the house." Applejack said.
Celestia nodded and they made their way into the house. When they went in they herd small laughing. They looked around them and saw Granny Smith sleeping in her rocking chair. On top were two small fillies holding a water balloon about to drop it on top.
"Twilight Sparkle. Don't even think about letting that fall." Celestia said in a stern voice.
Twilight and Applebloom looked up and saw the princess and Applejack with a not so happy expression. Princess Celestia levitated the two fillies in front of them and put the water balloon down gently.
"I hope you have a very good explanation young filly." Celestia told Twilight.
"Applebloom, do you know what my friends and I have gone through to find you and your friends?" asked Applejack.
Applebloom and Twilight looked at each other then back at the two ponies.
"IT WAS HER IDEA!" They both said in union pointing at each other.
"Applebloom go to your room. I'll talk to you in a minute." Applejack said.
Applebloom nodded and made her way upstairs.
"Twilight wait for me outside." Celestia said.
Twilight slowly made her way to the door and left the two ponies. Well Granny Smith was there too but she was still asleep.
"I'm sorry to have troubled you and your friends Applejack." Celestia said.
"Don't worry princess, we're happy to help." Applejack said with a friendly smile. "And i'm guessing you're going to be taking Twi back to Canterlot."
"Yes, it's probably best." Celestia said. "Tomorrow i'm going to start searching for some spells that could help Twilight turn back."
"We could help you. I'm sure the girls will be happy to help. We can go to Canterlot tomorrow to help you." Applejack said.
"That would be very helpful, thank you." Celestia said.
"It's no problem princess. Twilight's our friend and we'll be happy to help her turn back to normal." Applejack said.
"Well then, I will see all of you tomorrow. But I better get back to Canterlot now." Celestia said.
Applejack nodded and the princess walked out and looked at Twilight who was sitting down on the porch. She levitated her on her back and extended her wings to fly.
"Princess, are you mad?" asked Twilight.
"Yes I am Twilight, you know better than what you did today." Celestia said.
"I know, but I got mad at all the secrets. You never keep secrets from me. Why now?" asked Twilight.
"I'll tell you what it's all about once we reach the castle." Celestia said.
"Really?"
"Really."
Twilight thought for a second before her ears perked up. "Does this mean i'm not in trouble?" she asked hopefully.
"You're in more trouble than ever." Celestia said as Twilight's ears flattened again. "Nice try though."
Twilight looked at the towns under her as they pass them by one by one. It was starting to get dark and lights started going on making them look beautiful. She would have been able to enjoy it more if she wasn't in trouble though. Last time she was in trouble she had to clean the entire Kitchen in the castle. It took her hours and when she was done she couldn't feel her hooves anymore.
"Princess? Are we almost there?" asked Twilight. She just wanted to get to the castle and finish whatever punishment she got as quickly as she could.
"We're almost there." Celestia said.
"Ok." Twilight said giving a small sigh and resting her head on the princess's back.
The flight took a few more minutes before they finally reached the castle. When they did Celestia was quickly approached by princess Luna who had a worried expression on her face.
"Sister? Where have you been?" asked Luna.
"Twilight got into a little trouble and I had to go to Ponyville. Luckily she's not hurt but she is in a bit of a bad situation." Celestia said. She turned to reveal a small sleeping Twilight on her back. Luna just stared at her with a shocked face.
"B-but, h-how did she even manage-"
"I gave her some ancient books from the hidden volt in the library from our old castle." Celestia said cutting her off.
Luna couldn't help but laugh a little at the statement.
"What is so funny?" asked Celestia.
"I'm sorry but, maybe you should have started her off with a book more simpler, you know how curious she can get sister." said Luna.
"I know. I suppose that should have probably warned her of the dangers of the book. But it is too late for that now. Now we must try and concentrate on finding something that can break the spell and turn her back to normal." said Celestia.
"We could search the library and see if we find something." said Luna.
"That is a good idea, but for now I think I'm going to get some rest." said Celestia.
"That would be good but there are a few ponies here that wish to have an audience with you." said Luna.
Celestia gave a sigh and looked at Twilight who was still sleeping on back.
"I suppose there's not much of a choice." Celestia said. "But would you mind taking Twilight to my chambers."
"I don't know Tia, I don't know how to take care of a filly." said Luna.
"All you must do is put her to bed. She won't give you any trouble, she's asleep." said Celestia.
"Alright." said Luna.
Celestia carefully levitated Twilight off her back and gently placed her on Luna's. She started stirring a little but soon got herself comfortable and slept peacefully again. After Twilight seemed fine Celestia started making her way into the castle but stopped when she realized that she forgot something.
"I almost forgot, Twilight has no memory of her adult self. So if she does wake up she won't know who you are." said Celestia.
"What do I do then?" asked Luna.
"I'm not sure. She will not believe that you were Nightmare Moon, you will just have to convince her that you mean no harm." said Celestia.
"Alright." said Luna.
Celestia nodded and she turned direction and continued walking towards the castle. Luna looked one last time at the sleeping Twilight on her back before she made her way to the royal chambers. She walked through the halls ways carefully and steady to make sure that she didn't wake Twilight. When she reached Celestia's room she carefully laid Twilight down and tucked her in.
'That was not as bad as I thought it would be.' thought Luna as she started making her way to the door.
"Who are you?" asked a small voice behind her.
'Just what I needed.' thought Luna as she turned around and saw Twilight opening her eyes and looking at her.
"Where's princess Celestia?" asked Twilight.
"She is in an important meeting but she will be back very soon." said Luna. "So until then, perhaps it is best that you get some sleep."
"Are you a friend of her's? Because you have wings too." said Twilight hopping off the bed ignoreing the last sentence completly.
"Umm...yes, I am a friend of her's. But we are very close. As if we were sisters." said Luna.
"How come I've never seen you before?" asked Twilight.
'Looks like Twilight Sparkle has always asked too many questions.' Luna thought to herslef. "Because I live very far away. I come when I can but it is very breif." She finally answered.
"How come she's never mentioned you before?" asked Twilight. She was now in front of Luna looking up at the princess.
"You will have to ask her that." said Luna. "But you really should get to bed now."
Twilight sighed and nodded softly. "But I can't sleep anymore."
"Perhaps I can help with that. But you have to get to bed." said Luna.
Twilight jumpped up on her bed and tucked herself in while Luna sat next to her. She started to sing her a lullaby in her gentlest voice.
As soon as Luna was finished she looked at Twilight who was fast asleep snoring slightly.
"I havn't herd you sing that song in a long time." said a voice behind her.
When she turned around she saw Celestia walking towerds her looking at the sleeping filly. Both sister stayed in quite for a second, just watching the small filly sleep in front of them. But after a few moments Luna was the one to brake the silence.
"How did it go?" she asked.
"Apearently there is a drought in Fillydefia. I am going to have to head over there myself to sort this problem out before they make it worse." said Celestia.
"When?"
"Tomorrow."
Luna looked at Twilight and back at her sister.
"Will I have to take care of her?" asked Luna.
"Just for a short while. The other element welders will come by tomorrow to help find a way to revuse the spell." said Celestia.
"I suppose I can watch her for a little while. I already put aside my duties of tomorrow." said Luna.
"Thank you sister." said Celestia.
"It is no trouble at all. I can not be that hard to take care of a small filly. I am sure I can handle it just fine." said Luna said looking at Twilight who was still sleeping happly. "What is the worst that can happen?"
It was now morning in Equestria and the sun began to shine through the windows making he Rays of light hit a sleeping Twilight. She slowly opened her eyes adjusting to the light in the room. She looked out of the window for a second to see the early morning sun before she hid back under her pillow for darkness. Though her darkness did not last long once the doors to her room opened and Luna came in with a smile.
"Good morning Twilight Sparkle. It is time to wake up." Said Luna walking over to the bed and nudging Twilight.
"It's too early." Complained Twilight trying to hide deeper in her pillow.
Luna levitated the pillow off of her head and placed it on the ground. Having no pillow to protect her from the light Twilight looked at her with an annoyed face and quickly covered herself in her blanket.
"Come now Twilight Sparkle, I thought you liked mornings." Said Luna trying to take the blanket from Twilight.
"No. I. Don't." Said Twilight trying to keep the blanket away from Luna's grasp.
Luna sighed and levitated Twilight out from under and blanket and placed her on the ground. Once Twilight felt the coldness of the ground she looked at Luna and crossed her hooves.
"I want to stay in my room." Said Twilight pouting.
"That face will not work on me. You can not just sleep all day." Said Luna.
Twilight ignored her sentence and grabbed the pillow that was on the ground and laid her head on it making Luna face hoof.
"That is it, I am going to take you out of this room now." Said Luna levitating Twilight onto her back and walking out the room.
"Where's princess Celestia?" Asked Twilight as she laid on Luna's back and looked around the hallways that they would pass.
"Celestia had some business to attend to elsewhere, but she should return no later then today or tomorrow." Said Luna. "Until then, I shall look after you."
"Do you know anything about taking care of fillies?" Asked Twilight.
"Not really. You are the first, but I am sure that I can figure this out." Said Luna.
'This will only end so well' thought Twilight to herself.
As the two entered the dinning hall the sweet smell of pancakes and bread and fruit filled the room. They both sat down where Luna ate oatmeal and fruit and Twilight was eating blueberry pancakes.
"Slow down Twilight, you will choke on something if you continue to eat that fast." Said Luna, but Twilight of course paid no mind and continued as she was. 'Is it really this hard to watch over Someone? I had an easier time watching Discord.' Thought Luna to herself.
"Can I have a cookie?" asked Twilight looking at the bowl in front of her filled with cookies.
"Of course." said Luna. Twilight didn't need to be told twice. She quickly leaped towards the cookies and began to munch happily on them with a big smile on her face. "I see that you have a bit of a sweet tooth." said Luna.
"Princess Celestia would ALWAYS have cookies whenever I wanted." Said Twilight. "In fact, it kept me relaxed all day."
Luna tapped her chin for a moment and looked at Twilight. "Are you sure Tia would let you have so many cookies? It doesn't seem right. I've never herd of so much sugar making you relax." Said Luna.
"I guess I'm just special." Said Twilight continuing to eat the last of the few cookies that were left.
"I suppose that if Celestia gave you cookies to calm down...alright, I shall bring you more cookies." Said Luna standing up from her seat and walking into the kitchen.
As soon as Luna was gone, Twilight grew a small smile on her face before she ran out of the room to cause some more trouble.
"Chief, I will need a dozen more cookies prepared." Said Luna to the chief who was sitting down and reading.
"Of course your majesty, but I must ask, why so many cookies?" asked the chief.
"Let us just say that Twilight Sparkle has gone through a bit of an accident. Now she needs cookies to keep her calm and not jumping around rooms." Said Luna.
"Yes of course, Princess Celestia informed me about it this morning on her way out. Only Twilight would know how to turn herself back into a filly." Said the chief. "I understand why you want the cookies now, but I have to say that giving Twilight lots of cookies doesn't sound like the best idea to me."
"Why is that?"
"I've worked in this castle for years, I even knew Twilight as a filly. And I also know about her big sweet tooth. When she has too much sugar you won't be able to calm her down until she has a sugar crash. I still remember when the Princess and guards had to chase her around the halls to catch her." Said the chief.
"She tricked me."
"I'm afraid so your highness. She was always a little trouble maker when she first got here, but a real sweetheart once you got to know her." he said.
"Is there anything else that I should know before I go?" asked Luna.
"Yes, she has a tendency to pull pranks and hide, I would watch where you step closely." Said the chief.
"Thank you." Said Luna before she left the kitchen to go and find Twilight.
It had been almost twenty minutes and Luna could still not find even a clue to where Twilight is. She had checked everywhere outside, In the bushes, in the trees, in tall grass, everywhere she though a small filly could hide in.
"Twilight Sparkle! I do not find this amusing anymore!" yelled Luna earning no response.
She sighed and continued walking around the garden looking around for any single clue of the missing filly. She was about ready to give up until she started hearing soft laughing. Luna quickly looked around for anything that a filly could hide in.
"Up here!" yelled Twilight.
Luna looked up to the sky and could see Twilight flying above with a huge smile on her face. She flew down to the ground in front of Luna but one look at her face and Twilight's smile faded and her ears folded back.
"Does thou have have any idea how hard it is to catch you!" Yelled Luna with anger.
Twilight realized how much trouble she was in now and slumped down lower to the ground not daring to look at Luna's angry face. She went too far.
"I-I'm sorry..." She said in a quite voice. "I just wanted to have some fun."
Luna's face softened at the sight of Twilight. Though she was still angry at her for causing trouble she couldn't stay mad. She was just a filly, this wasn't the Twilight Sparkle she had grown to know. Taking a deep breath Luna composed herself and looked down at Twilight.
"Why don't we take a walk." She said.
Twilight looked up at Luna confused. Why wasn't she yelling at her or getting her in trouble? She was angry just a minute ago, what happened?
"um...ok." Said Twilight as she began to follow Luna through the garden.
"Princess Luna?" Asked Twilight looking up at the princess. "Are you mad at me for making you chase me?"
Luna looked down at Twilight and shook her head. "I'm not angry, I just forget that you're just a filly after all." Said Luna.
"How do you forget i'm a filly? I don't look like an older mare yet...at least...I don't think I do. Do I? Do I look like an old mare? Or worse! Like a...Like a grandma! Oh no! Don't tell me I look like a grandma!" Yelled Twilight as she started to look around for any reflective surface she could use to look at herself.
Luna couldn't help but stare at Twilight's antics as she desperately tried to find a mirror.
"Twilight, calm yourself. What I meant was-*sigh* never mind, let's just go continue our walk. I promise you, you don't look like a grandma." Said Luna.
Twilight stopped her running and looked up at Luna with big eyes.
"Pinkie promise?"
"Yes I Pinkie pro- wait...Pinkie promise?" Luna asked. She had herd the phrase Pinkie promise before. It was a special promise that Twilight and her friends had if she recalled correctly.
"That isn't a real thing is it? Sorry, I just kind of popped into my head, but I don't know from where...huh." Said Twilight trying to think.
just as Luna was about to say something a royal guard made his way their direction.
"Princess Luna the elements of harmony are here and in the throne room." Said the guard.
"Thank you. Let them know that I will be there in a second." Said Luna.
"Of course your majesty." Said the guard before returning back the way he came.
"Are you ready to go?" Asked Luna as she looked down at Twilight.
"I guess so. Sorry we didn't really go for a walk. But I promise that I'll try not to give you too much trouble. I really did just want to have a little fun." Said Twilight. "And um...since I really didn't finish all my breakfast and it's almost snack time, do you think that maybe-"
