Many years ago there was a family that lived peacefully with their town. They had moved in a single month after having been married. The wedding was a glorious time for both of them. There was cake, dancing, and all sorts of ponies from all around came to see them be wed.

One came particularly unhappy with the celebration that was at hand. He had been in love with the mare the day he first gazed upon her golden coat of fur. In his eyes he had never seen such beauty and he did not plan on letting it go to another pony.

He waited for many years as the couple got closer and closer he did nothing. He would sit back and listen to them admitting their love for one another. He finally snapped when the colt was born. He promised that soon enough he will make this marriage end. one way or, another.

On a day that seemed almost enchanted during the mystic night fall. The light from the moon draped down upon the stallion rushing ever so quickly threw the woods heading for his home. He panted hard from how much energy he had already used his breathscould be seen on such a cold night.

The wind blew hard against his aching body sending shivers threw his spine as he neared the hospital. The tree branches were swaying with the wind. He stopped at the door looking up at the hospital panting a smile glowing over his face.

"I..I made it"

He ran inside stumbling a little as he runs past the counter, one of the ponies yell to him

"Shes in room 134!"

He yelled to her in reply

"Thanks!"

He didn't slowdown for a second as he runs straight to the stairs and climbed up all of them gasping for air as he keeps pushing himself to keep going not wanting to miss a thing.

A few hours ago, It was midday her stallion out of town the day to her self. They had learned that many weeks ago she was holding life of her own that she couldn't wait to share with the world. The days had flown by to the day her stallion was to be home.

But as fate would have it she felt a sharp pain in her as the floor was covered in water moments later. Her eyes had grown wide as she rolled over to her side. She crawled as best she could to the door before her eyes slowly closed.

Moments later she had woken up her vision slightly blurry as she was being run threw the hospital on a stretcher. The lights flew by over her head as she heard doctors yelling

"she's coming to put her back under and hurry we need to get her to a room first!"

Her eyes slowly dropped down as she was slowly encased in darkness before waking up soon filled with pain as she yelled loudly screaming in pain as she looked around seeing a doctor telling her

"Push I can see the foal coming!"

Her eyes were a shiny gold that matched her fur circled around the pupil. Liquid began to arise from the eyes as it started to rain upon her cheeks from the thought of her stallion unable to be there for this special moment that could never be taken back.

Yelling was roaring threw the hall, going into the door as the stallion busted into the room limping to her side as best he could. His own eyes having flooded a little himself his cheeks wet from having pushed himself so hard.

Her eyes gazed upon the stallion who had stolen her heart many years ago she couldn't help but interlock their lips together. He was so exhausted from the run between towns tell he arrived not stopping or even slowing down. Even after all this he still found the strength to return the favorable locking of lips to hers.

Moments into the kiss he felt her hoof squeezing his so hard he grunted barley keeping himself from the floor. Soon the young colt Scoots was born his fur as golden as his mothers. His mane was as golden as his coat, his eyes were as well. he was sleeping soundly when he came out. The proud parents looked down upon their foal with glee not knowing what to say as the nurse handed him to them.

The father quickly took his colt in his hooves looking down at him panting hard as he almost fell from his hooves to the floor but he shook his head laying it on the mothers lap where he snuggled tightly against his mom. The father fell to his side being consumed into a restful sleep having achieved his goal of making it to the birth. As the father was picked up the mother looked over at him and smiled

"you made it dear. its okay you rest now"

She smiled as they took him away she looked down at the little colt saying the name they had chosen many years in advanced

"our little scoots!"

Scoots First Year

Scoots was a normal colt born under his parents just like every other pony. He enjoyed his wings, even though he was to young to be able to fly. His golden fur reflected the suns rays when the day was bright. The temperature was warm and the breezes felt nice. he was laying on his fathers back as they were headed home from the park.

Scoots wasn't old enough to talk yet but loved to have his dads attention. They arrived at the house with smiles. The mother ran out to greet them as they returned from their trip. She wrapped her hooves tightly around her mate seeing their little colt on his back she leans forward places her lips upon the tiny colts head.

The colt stood up on his daddy's back placing its front hooves on its mommy's head happily. She couldn't help but release a tiny giggle from the colts cuteness. The mothers body tensed up a bit as she looked out at a pony in the near forest. It was clear she had seen this pony before but she dared not worry anyone so she finished the hug and lead them inside.

The stallion in the forest had been fallowing Scoots and his father since they left for the park. He waited out in the near by bushes peeking out to watch them every now and again as they enjoyed their fun. When the duo decided to head home the stallion fallowed them. lurking behind the trees never taking his eyes off them. He ducked behind a bush in the forest as the mother came out. When the ponies embraced each other in a hug he stomps his hoof hard and whispers to himself

"How dare he."

He keeps watching the ponies hating the thought of not being the one she loves. When she noticed him. So he waved to her knowing he had been spotted. He heads off after watching all he could bare in one trip.

When he was home he slammed his door behind him. The house was dark with a rather large hallway that lead to his room. The pony approached his own room pictures of Scoots mother stretched across the wall and covering the ceiling over his bed.

He plopped down staring up unable to take his eyes of her beauty. He leaned up his horn glowing black at his sinister idea. He yells inside of his own room

"I cant take it anymore!"

He hopped up off his bed heading for the door dark thoughts filling his mind as he left his house leaving the door open not knowing if he will be returning.

Father's Vest

Scoots father was a noble and brave stallion, but there was something he always had with him, his vest. All of the land near and far knew of his vest. The vest that had been in the family for generations being passed on from father to son. His father had been given this vest at his age of adult hood. He had never removed it like the previous owners before him.

To him it was more than just a vest but part of the family. The vest had a special enchantment put on it many generations ago back when it was first made. The enchantment made the vest shrink and grow to the size of the colt waring it.

The father took vary good care of this vest and always let little Scoots try it on. Scoots didn't really worry to much about the vest but wore it happily for his father. Though he was still to young to speak he kept close to his father watching every decision.

When his father would go out on long business trips he would be happy to be with his mother but he always ended up looking out the window waiting for his dad to return.

When the mother first met the father he was waring the vest. She knew how much it meaning it had to him so she didn't ask him to ever remove it no matter what they were doing. For the first years she never saw him without the vest on.

After the 3rd year of being with him she tough he might remove it one time but he kept it close to him no matter what witch made her flood the floor in tears when he removed it, placed it on her back before showing her a ring this was his way of proposing to her.

With knowing how much meaning the vest held she couldn't have believed he had removed it for her so she couldn't have dared say no. This was the happiest moment of their lives.

Scoots was running around in the halls chasing after his dad chuckling as they ran. The mother was holding a video camera hoping to see him finally speak for it was around the time most fillies and colts spoke the first time. They kept a close eye on him not wanting to miss it.

Scoots loved all the attention he was receiving not caring why he just went with it. As scoots stopped and looked over at his mom and hugged her leg tight she smiled wrapping her hooves around him. there was a sudden knock was heard upon the front door downstairs. They were in Scoots's room so the father went to check it out while they waited there.

The father smiled to his little colt leaning down kissing the top of his head before ruffling up his mane leaving the room.

"I'll be right back Scoots"

The father went down the stairs slowly but keeps fast enough as to not bore the visitor. He wounder who was visiting but he was used to it. He thought it might be another pony offering him a job so he opened the door without hesitation. He spoke happily to the stallion who stood before him

"why hello there. how can I hel.."

He was cut short from the sentence. His body went cold as his fur went on end. His eyes flooded with tears as he gasps blood shooting out of his mouth. He looked down to his chest where a knife was placed. A dark red liquid enshrouded the blade dripping from it. He looked up into the stallions eyes only letting out the words

"w...why?"

He made his way over to the stairs best he could yelling just once before his candle burnt out

"Run!!"

She smiled as he left she giggled looking down at little Scoots

"what would you like to..?"

She hears the yelling from down stairs

"Run!!"

Her eyes shot open as she quickly ran out of the room to see the father fall to the stairs. She froze for a moment as she gasped

"n..no"

she would have dropped to the floor at that moment if she hadn't seen Scoots out the corner of her eyes. She ran over quickly picking him up. She ran him to their room tears dropping from her cheeks as she couldn't believe the sight she had just beheld.

Scoots was chuckling when his dad kissed his head he smiled then tilted his head as his dad left the room. He went to fallow but his mom stopped him.

Right there then she froze and ran out of the room. Scoots was lost at what was going on so he started to fallow his mom moments after she ran out of the room. As soon as Scoots left the room his mother ran over crying and picked him up.

The tears he had seen made him realize how serious this situation really was so he started to shake wildly holding onto his mommy's mane tight.

When they arrived inside of the room Scoots looked at his mommy as she set him down inside of a large laundry basket full of clothes and slid it into the closet. She stood at the door of the closet it to small to fit her. Tears fell from her eyes as she only spoke a few words

"We love you Scoots. Please never for get that"

She looked to the floor crying not wanting to go on her body not responding as she was so scared. Suddenly she felt a tiny hoof on her nose

"m...mommy"

her eyes shot open as they fell upon Scoots as he said it again

"mommy"

little scoots smiled and chuckled clapping his hooves thinking its just a game so he wasn't as scared. She smiled to him taking a step back slowly starting to close the door but before she does Scoots stood up placing his front hooves onto his mommy's face

"mommy coming back right?"

She bit her lower lip as she set him back in the basket throwing the clothes over him fighting the words out of her mouth

"m..mommy and daddy will always be with you Scoots"

this made the little colt smile. the last sight the mother ever saw was her colts smile for as she turned around the stallion walked threw the door placing the knife inside of her chest letting the life flow from her as the floor was painted red from the liquid.

Scoots was all alone in the closet trying to keep occupied smiling having no clue what had happened to his parents. After an hour he finally worked the door open. As he opened the door he slipped and fell out cause he was so small.

He landed on the red floor patted in blood, part of the blood splashed into the side of his hair turning it red and into his eyes changing the gold encircling the pupal into a red matching his hair. He looked at the floor

"what this mommy?"

he looked around after standing up his body froze as he saw his mommy on the floor in-front of him

"mommy"

He ran over and hugged her tight.

"Wake up mommy lets play something!"

When she didn't reply he got worried and ran out of the room and looked down stairs looking for his daddy

"daddy? where are you daddy?"

He ran down the stairs. Half way down the stairs he noticed his daddy was laying there. The floor and stairs around him was covered in the same stuff as his mommy. He ran over and nudged him hard

"daddy. mommy wont wake up"

He bit his dads ear and tried to tug him up the stairs. He noticed his daddy didn't move at all so he looked around

"d..daddy wake up!"

he waited for a reply and said it again

"daddy wake up!"

He started to cry and hug his daddy tight as he yelled at the top of his lungs the floor started to make pat sounds as his tears collided with the blood it mixing together.

"daddy please wake up!"

He cried more as he slowly made his way to his daddy's warm belly and snuggled against him their fur colliding as he laid his hooves over him

"I..I wont leave tell you wake up daddy. then you and mommy can play with me all day. j..just please wake up"

He slowly drifted into sleep from crying for the rest of the night.
