A song fic about three fillies who were the best of friends. Until a tragedy occurs, that drives them apart
Inspired by the song "Reboot" by Hatsune Miku, Megurine Luka, and Samune Zimi. Hazel (Miku), Blossum (Luka), and Kiwi (Zimi), were the best of friends, until an accident happened which drove their friendship apart.
It was a beautiful day in Ponyville. A couple of young fillies were sitting on a hill while watching the sunset. The first filly was a teal pegasus with a greenish-blue mane with a gem as her cutie mark. The second one was a ligh pink unicorn with a dark pink mane with a blossum as her cutie mark.
"Hey Blossum", said the teal filly "Where do you think Kiwi is?"
"I don't know Hazel", replied Blossum
"HAZEL, Blossum", called a voice
The two fillies turned around and saw a cream earth pony filly with a brown mane.
"Kiwi, where have you been?", asked Blossum
"Yeah, we've been waiting for like forever", added Hazel "We were worried you wouldn't show up"
"Sorry, you guys", apoligized Kiwi "But I wanted to give you these"
Kiwi went through her saddle bag and pulled out a couple of small packages.
"What's in them?", asked Hazel
"Open them, and find out", replied Kiwi
The two fillies excitedly opened the packages. Hazel's package had a gold star keychain, as did Blossom's
"I hope you girls like them, they were the only things I could afford". said Kimi
"Are you kidding? They're perfect", said Hazel admiring her keychain
"They are?", asked Kiwi
"Yeah, because you gave them to us", explained Blossum "Your special. So in a way, they're special too"
"That's great, cause I got one too", said Kiwi holding up her keychain
The fillies laughed and held their keychains up. Then they hugged eachother.
"These should be a symbol of our friendship", said Kiwi
"Yeah, cause you gave them to us", said Hazel
"And they're stars", added Blossum "And we love stars"
"Speaking of which, are you girls gonna join the astronomy club with me", asked Kiwi
"Heck yeah", said Hazel
"Of course", added Blossum
"Great", said Kiwi "Well, it's getting late, we should probably get home"
"Yeah, we have that big history test tomorrow", said Blossum
"Bye girls", said Kiwi
"Bye", replied Hazel and Blossum
They walked home while admiring their new friendship keychains.
The next day, everypony was in school learning what about Ms. Cheerilee is saying. Suddenly, the belle rang. And all the foals ran out with excitement on their minds.
"Bye kids", called Cheerilee "Remember that Astronomy Club is tomorrow after school"
"So girls", said Blossum "You thinkin, what Im thinkin?"
"Ice cream?", asked Kiwi
"Yup", replied Blossum
The three best friends walked over to Sugarcube Corner, the town's bakery and ice cream parlor. Inside the bakery was a bunch of ponies eating the sweetest of treats, and a bouncy pink earth pony mare with a hot pink mane and a couple of balloons as her cutie mark.
"Hiya girls", greeted the mare
"Hi Ms. Pinkie Pie", greeted the fillies
"Oh girls, you know you can call Pinkie", assured the mare "So what can I get you three?"
"We'd like some ice cream please", said Hazel
"Ok. Mint for Hazel, Strawberry for Blossom, and Blueberry for Kiwi", said Pinkie giving them their ice cream.
"Wait, how did you know what flavors we wanted?", asked Blossom
"Well, Im Pinkie Pie. I basically know everything", replied Pinkie
"How much do we owe you?", asked Hazel
"On the house", replied Pinkie
"Really?", asked Blossom
"Yeah, since the Astronomy Club is tomorrow, might as well make it a celebration"
"How'd you?-", asked Kiwi
"Just a hunch", replied Pinkie
"Thanks Pinkie", said the girls
"Your welcome", replied Pinkie
The girls were walking down the streets talking, eating ice cream, and sharing funny stories.
"-So then the sheep said, let's go too the Baaaahamas", joked Hazel
The three friends started to laugh.
"Good one Hazel", complimented Blossom
She playfully shoved Hazel, and made her drop her ice cream.
"My ice cream", said Hazel looking sad
"You ok?", asked Blossom
Hazel looked at Blossom with an expression of anger.
"YOU!", yelled Hazel
She shoved Blossom and they started to fight. Kiwi tried to break up the fight.
"GIRLS STOP", yelled Kiwi
Suddenly, Blossom's keychain broke from her saddlebag and landed in the street.
"Oh no, your keychain", said Kiwi
She ran to the middle of the road, and picked up the keychain. Suddenly, a runaway cart sped through the streets and ran over Kiwi, making her let go of the keychain. Hazel saw everything from the cornor of her eye. Then, everything went black.
Kiwi died that very day. Everypony was devistated about her death, especially her friends. Kiwi was a sweet and generous filly. She didnt even earn her cutie mark. The two fillies were at her funeral. Suddenly, Hazel started crying.
"THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT", cried Hazel
Blossom looked at her with disbelief.
"My fault?", replied Blossom
"You were the who shoved me"
"It was an accident"
"It doesnt matter. Kiwi is dead and it's all your fault"
"Hazel…"
"NO, DONT TALK TO ME. I NEVER WANNA SPEAK TO YOU AGAIN"
Hazel started crying hysterically, and Blossom looked down in guilt. What the two fillies don't know was that a familiar spirit was behind them.
"Oh girls, please don't fight", said Kiwi "Were supposed to be friends no matter what"
It's been two weeks since Kiwi's funeral. Hazel and Blossom haven't talked since then. One day, school has ended and all of the foals ran out of the school house. Suddenly, it started to rain.
"Ugh it's raining", said Blossom walking out of the school house. "I wonder if Hazel wants to walk home with me. Hopefully she still doesnt hate me. Then again, it has been two weeks. Im sure she's gotten over it by now"
Suddenly, Hazel walked out of the room with a couple of fillies holding umbrellas. One of them was pink with a purple and white mane wearing a tiara, and a tiara as her cutie mark. The other one was a grey filly with a white braided mane, blue glasses, a pearl necklace, and a spoon as her cutie mark. Hazel gave Blossom an unforgiving look and walked away with the two rich fillies. Blossom started to cry and ran away. A couple feet away from her was Kiwi's spirit.
10 years have passed since Kiwi's death. Blossom and Hazel haven't rekindled their friendship. One day, Kiwi was sitting on the side of the street. Suddenly, a white persian cat with a purple bow walked up to her.
"Oh hello kitty", greeted Kiwi petting her "What's your name?"
"OPALESENCE", said a white unicorn mare with a purple mane and a couple of blue diamonds as her cutie mark picking up the cat "You shouldn't be here it's filthy"
The mare walked away. A familiar face walked past Kiwi. She was a pink unicorn mare with a pink mane with a red blossom as her cutie mark. It was Blossom. She has changed over the years. She was wearing a lab coat with glasses.
"Blossom…You've really grown", said Kiwi
Kiwi followed her until they reached their destination.
Blossom walked into Ponyville not knowing that Kiwi was following her. Then she saw a board with a poster on it.
"Ponyville University Astronomy Club", sais Blossom "I haven't been to that since…Kiwi. I should sign up"
Later that day, Blossom walked into the Astronomy Lab and saw somepony she thought she would never see.
"Blossom", said the mare suprised
It was a green pegasus mare with a teal mane with a jewel as her cutie mark. It was Hazel. Instead of wearing her mane in pigtails, she wears it up. She also wears a pink shawl. When Blossom saw her, she was shocked. So she tried to run away, but was blocked by a wing.
"Blossom stop", said Hazel "Im sorry. Im really really sorry for everything I did. Can you please forgive me?"
"Hazel, I don't think I can. You blamed me for Kiwi's death", explained Blossom
"I know, and I shouldn't have done that. I was just mad and sad at the same time and I didnt know how to react. The truth is…I REALLY MISS YOU"
Hazel started to cry.
"But what about Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon?"
"I was only friends with them because I thought you hate me"
"No, when I saw you with them I was heart broken"
"But what about that unforgiving look you gave me?"
"It was an "Im sorry" look"
"I thought you were going to Cloudsdale University?"
"I switched colleges. So I can apoligize"
"You did all that to apoligize"
"Yes, can you forgive me now? Kiwi would want us to be friends again"
Blossom started crying and hugged Hazel. They both sat on the floor crying. Kiwi was tearing up while watching the touching moment.
