Well I was walking home from a long day at school and I found this white rock just sitting on my table and there was a note on it saying it was for me and.....oops sorry l think I may have told a little bit too much. Don't want to spoil the whole adventure for you! You're going to have to read to find out."
Let's see, let's see.....well I would say it all started when I was in school learning about subtracting or adding......eehh I don't know I was asleep half of the time, so I don't remember most of the details. So anyways after like......an hour I think....I was talking with my friends about what we should do next on getting our cutie marks and Sweetie Bell was suggesting on searching through some caves and try to find some diamonds or jewels like her big sister, but I knew she was lying. She just wanted to experience MineCraft in real life and AppleBloom manage to talk some sense into her by saying it was to dangerous and that we might cause a cave in, she said it wasn't true, but..........we had caused worse.
Through all the rambling we were causing we didn't notice that Miss Cheerilee was eye balling us and didn't seem to like that we were distracting everypony else she got mad at us and told us to keep it down that there were pony's here trying to learn and that we shouldn't distract them or whatever, we said sorry and she went back to teaching.........school stuff for a about a couple of minutes before she had to rush to the restroom to go do some business and she takes fooorrreeevvveerrr in there, but I don't complain it just means more time to sleep.
We went back to are original conversation until we got interrupted again except it was by Diamond Tiara, Celestia knows how much I hate her, but she just always got to say something about our flanks and that there blank and that we are nobody's and we should just give up, Ooohhhh I wish I could just show her a thing or two maybe then she'll leave us alone. Anyways she was on about.......well pretty much the same thing that I already told you she was saying,
"Are you 'Crusaders' still on about how to get your cutie marks why don't you just give up on it already and stop annoying the rest of us , if you haven't gotten it already then what makes you think you will ever get it?"
I just want her to stop harassing us about it already I mean jezz why is she so obsessed on bringing us down what have ever done to her we just want to find out on what were good at just like everypony else what's wrong with that? We tried to ignore her, but she continued and didn't seemed to stop I really, really wanted to say something, but AppleBloom beat me to it.......but this time her reaction was different I've never seen her this mad I mean it's normal for Diamond to make fun of us and we would just ignore it and.......yeah sometimes she'd get to us, but not this time I think she finally got to her....
"Why do ya always got to insult us Diamond what did we ever do to you!"
"It's not exactly what you did it's just the mere presents of you being here that offends me."
"Well I'm sorry that the sight of us is, sooooo offensive to you I'm sorry that were trying to find out who we are like everypony else!"
"Well unlike everypony else they have there cutie marks and what do you have!"
Ok at that moment I knew things were getting out of control and if somepony doesn't stop it soon it could get really ugly, what's taking Miss Cheerilee, so........oh yeah, well if no one is going to stop it it might as well be me, "AppleBloom stop it isn't like you to act like this, dont let her continue to get to you when Miss Cheerilee comes back and see's you acting like this you're going to get in trouble." It feels weird to be the voice of reason it's usually AppleBloom trying to calm me down.
"But she started it!"
"I know she did, but you can't......."
I tried my best to calm AppleBloom down, but I was cut short by one of Diamonds remarks.
"Oh look another one of your blank flank friends is joining in our conversation."
"She ain't joining into anything Diamond leave her out of this!"
I kept telling myself to calm down don't let her get to you or you might do something you'll regret that's what AppleBloom kept telling me anyways.......and right now she needs me....
"AppleBlooms right I'm not joining into anything I'm just trying to calm my friend down." Diamond then said,
"Oh and I suppose you are trying to be a better pony now, by keeping calm and trying to act mature when was the last time you ever tried to be mature into anything, heck I'm more surprised that you are the one calming AppleBloom down and not the other way around this is hilarious!"
Just calm down Scoots don't let her get into your head prove to her that you are more mature then she is, but she's making really hard too.
"What do you think being mature is going to give you a mark is it even a thing let alone something you'd be good at!"
Just calm down just calm down just, just........I can feel a tear rolling down my cheek from all the anger I'm holding in if this goes on I might explode! AppleBloom also notice the tear going down my cheek and so did SweetieBell, they gathered around me to try to calm me down......I guess now it's starting to make sense, Apple said, "Scootaloo calm down please look you were right I shouldn't have let her get to me.". Then Sweetie said, "Look school is going to be over soon so....", Sweetie stop at mid tracks to one of Diamonds remarks that I probably won't forget,
"Oh look is the little baby crying whatever happened to you being all tough and fearless, now look at you crying in class like a wimp kinda reminds of when you tried to fly, but kept failing and failing wondering to yourself, "Why can't I get it right." oh wait..you still cant fly your a failure as a pegasus and everypony knows it, I mean almost every pegasus here can fly except for you, if you can't even fly then why are you trying desperately on looking for a mark Hahahaha!"
"She's.....she's right... I am a failure and a wimp....every Pegasus here can fly except for me, if I can't fly then I probably won't be able to find my mark either." I felt like dirt in that class room I wanted to crawl into a rock or some dark cave far into the everfree and just....disappear. I ran out of that class room with tears covering my face, I can hear AppleBloom and SweetieBell calling my name from behind me, but I didn't want to talk to them I didn't want to talk to anypony I just wanted to go home.
I didn't want to go to the orphanage or the treehouse....I wanted to go somewhere where I can really be alone....I remember I made a little fort out in the Everfree sometime back I made it so I can......well I'm pretty sure you already know. It's like my little tree house....except it's on the ground and.....not in the tree.....look the tree house I have with AppleBloom and SweetieBell is cool, no its awesome, but I wanted to built something on my own you know something that I can be proud of...well anyways I finally made it and rushed inside as fast as I could and tried to forget this day.
Out of anger I pushed opened the door way to hard and it broke off its hinges and fell to the ground, "I'll fix that later." I said to myself I'm not really in the mood for fixing things even though the place looks like it's falling apart.
I got on my bed and just let all my feelings out on the pillow I've never cried this hard in my life. My eyes were stinging, my throat was hurting and my head felt woozy, I really wanted all of this to just go away...."Why does she have to been soo mean." I said to myself, "What did I ever do to you huh is it because I have no mark is that really the reason, not everypony has a mark, so why don't you pick on somepny else instead of us what makes us, so special!" I slammed my face into the pillow and yelled at the top of my lungs and didn't stop until there was no air left inside.
Hours have past and I've managed to calm myself down a bit, but the words she said is still there in head word for word....I just can't seem to forget it, so I thought that maybe if I hanged out with my friends then I would forget all about this, plus they must be worried about me since I ran out of there and never told them where I was going, "Yeah maybe sometime with my friends would help." I jumped out of my bed and started walking to the door.....well I guess more like hole in the wall and try to get out of here, but I tripped over something as I was walking, "Whoa, Aaahhh!" I fell to the ground with a thump. It hurt for only a bit, which was a good, but what the heck tripped me? I picked myself up with my front hooves and turned around to see what did it, "Ok what the heck..." wow it was probably the most weirdest looking thing I had ever seen.
It was a white rock, but.....it was a big white rock, "What the heck is this?" I picked it up with my right hoof to get a better look at it, I was surprised to know that it was pretty light annnnddd well it was.......white there really isn't much to say about then it looking strange it also seemed to have a point and it's sides looking like sword as if someone sharpened it or something, it also had this brown cloth wrapped around it for.......some reason over all it didn't seemed to do anything besides TRIPPING ME! "What the heck does it even do or what's it even doing here no one knows about this place, so nobody could of brought it here and there hasn't been any storms lately, but even if there was one I doubt it would find it's why in here.", so like anypony else who was curious about a strange looking thing I started to move it around and look at every corner of it, but still nothing.
I shook it, I bitten it, and even it banged it onto objects and walls to see if it did something, but.....no still nothing, "Ok look rock I've been having a pretty bad day and when I was finely getting over it or starting to you just made it worse, so the least you could do is just show me that you can do something I mean you're strange looking and almost everything that looks strange here must do something, so..........do something!", nothing happened it just quietly rested on my hoof, "(Sigh) Look at me I'm yelling at a rock." maybe I do need to hang out with my friends I think I might be loosing my mind at least thats what I thought until it shocked me!
"Ow this thing shocked me why you did you have to do that is it, because I yelled at you a bit over sensitive don't you think?" it didn't reply, "(Sigh) I'm doing it again I should head out already before I start to asking it how it feels or what it's dreams are.", so I just threw it on the ground and tried to forget about it.....at least I tried the rock.....was actually.....doing something. A white, bright flash came from the rock it only lasted for a second, but it was enough to freak me out. I walk up to the rock and noticed something strange under it.....it seemed to.....well I think they were words to me it just looked like a bunch of scratches on the floor.
"Seriously this is what you do you got me frustrated over this SCRATCHES all you did was destroy my floor!", and it still didn't say anything, "Oh Celestia the stress is really getting to me look I'm going leave and when I'm back I'm throwing you into a lake!" still nothing, "Aahhh I'm doing it again what's wrong with me!" I had enough with this I was going to leave, hang out with my friends, throw this rock away, but........it did something again, but........it wasn't coming from the rock.....it was coming from the sign. "What the heck is going on!" and a white, bright light surrounded my room, thank goodness it only lasted for a second except.......there was now a strange creator in my room wearing a full suit of armor the only things that were going my mind was fear, and curiosity well.......it mostly curiosity, but I was still pretty scared and the only thing I said during that moment was, "Coool...."
The flashing light finally cleared from my sight, I can now see clearly of the area I am in, from my past experiences it is always best to examine the area or you might get ambushed by a hollow. It appears that I am in some sort of room I think I can't really tell since the only light is coming from that broken down door over their, if someone had to break down the door to get in here theirs probably some loot or weapons.
Enough side tracking I need to know who put down that summoned sign and why they put hmmm....now that I think about the door maybe someone wanted to come in and the guy probably needed some help that could explain it. Chances are his probably still alive somewhere.........and, so is the thing that was attacking him.
I quickly place my right hand on my broad sword and instantly turned around thinking that it was already attacking me from behind, but to my surprised there was nothing there, maybe......he probably got out in time and is hiding or.......
"Coool....."
What.....the heck was that.....I think its coming from behind I turn around, and look down at my feet to see a......horse......no it's not a horse.....horses are bigger than that......I think it's...a pony? A talking pony....with wings.....huh that's knew at least it ain't threatening..............is it? I picked it up with both of my hands and start to examine it to see if it pose as any threat it should be pretty easy seeing that its small atleast that's what I thought if it didn't squirm so much!
"Hey what the heck are you doing put me down!"
I'll put you down just relax I just need to know if........oh so it's a female....."Hey put me down!" ok ok I'll put you down. I placed her on the ground as gently as I could not wanting to hurt her.
"Ok.......let's not do that again.....ok?"
Don't worry I already got what I need to know.......wait a minute if she's here then chances are she probably placed that summon sign well that's just great does that mean I have to guard a horse.......sorry I mean pony.....I'm pretty sure it is....anyways what could a pony want with me it doesn't seem to be endanger or.........did she call me because of what happened to the door...just to be safe I'll keep an eye on that door just incase it decides to come back and she seems to notice that I'm looking at it....
"Oh I can see you looking at the door.....and you're probably wondering what happened to?
I shake my head in agreement.
"Well..."
She places her hoof behind her head and I believe she seems to be......scratching I think since only people who are nervous or embarrassed of something do that.
"I kinda........broke it.."
Oh, so she broke down the door.......that is hilarious and very unnerving to know that, she might be stronger than I think she is, I shouldn't really underestimate her, but their still leaves one question....why did she....
"See look it's because I had a bad day at school and I was really upset when I came home and the hinges on the door were not screwed on tight enough or not properly place and I just pushed open the door really hard and....well yeah."
Nevermind then.....she's not really strong and there is no danger, so why did she placed down her summon sign if there is no danger.......(Sigh) well I have no choice now, so I'm stuck here until I die or she does and seeing how she's a child it's going to be a loooonngg time......or you know I could just jump off a cliff and just get it over with.
"So....anyways let's just forgot about that and let me introduce myself my name is Scootaloo, I'm a Pegasus and I live in Ponyville which is......a mile that way I think...."
Ok well at least I know her name and what she is and where the nearest town is, it doesn't really make it any better or it might who knows....hmm, but then again I don't really remember being in this part of the kingdom.....could it really be, maybe.....maybe it's just outside of the walls......and she did say that there is town nearby.....and a town means people and by people I mean pony's living in a town, could they be a new species that I haven't seen yet.
"Umm....this is the part were you introduce your self.......hello are you still in there?"
Oh yeah...that's right she told me about herself and this is the part where I introduce myself, but Im not really a....chatty person I like to keep thing to myself and just get the job done.....which is surviving and linking the fires....

How dare she ask me that question of course I know who I am, I am a human, born in...........oh well I do know my name it's.........wait what is it again, it's.........no it's probably......no it doesn't really fit me what about...........no that's not it either..now that I think about I don't really know a lot about myself or my past all I remember was waking up in the asylum and people telling me that I'm the chosen undead.

Toby? Why Toby that's......that sounds kinda boring at least the last two names you thought of sounded it kinda cool even if it just described what I have on, but that....at least reconsider it.

Well.....at least she made it more....easier to handle, even if it just stands for me being cool and.....that one part was just...uncalled for especially at her age. It'll take to some getting used to, but.....I think I'll.....start...to like it....I guess.

Oh believe me Scootaloo I'm going through the same question you are asking me the only answers I can think of is that this is another part of the kingdom that I haven't heard of or havent explored yet and you are probably a new specious or something, because as of right now we both have unanswered questions.

She seems to notice something, but I don't really know what it is, she seems to see something right by my left foot, so I pick it up to see if I'm stepping on it. As I pick it up I notice that it was a piece of paper I pick it out of the ground with my left hand and brought it closer to my eyes, and then I notice something there's writing on it, aaanndd I think it's meant for Scootaloo, so I pass the paper to her.
"Huh what is....oh it's a note....and it's written for me..it says Dear Scootaloo this is a gift from....well it doesn't really say anyways....who ever comes from the sign well always protect you and well never leave your side, he or she will always be your friend I hope you enjoy his or her company I know you well need it...and it ends right their."
Ok who ever wrote this is lying to her that's not how summoning works, well the protecting part is right, and the never leaving, but it doesn't really mean that I got to be her friend, it just means that I'm going to fight along side you....for only a short time well it's mostly do to the fact that they die really fast and I get sent back, but the point is it's mostly lying to her.
"So.....that means that you are my new friend........that is, so cool, I mean look at you, you look, look....well awesome I got to go show you to my friends their going to think the exact samething I just know it!"

"Oh I can't wait for you to see my friends we're going to do, so much together like bowling or playing tag or maybe you can help us find our cutie marks who knows!?" wow today just turned from bad to great in a matter of hours I mean at first I just wanted to just stay in my house and just rot for the rest of my life, but now.....I just want to show everypony my new friend! At least I think his my friend, the note did say that who ever came through the sign would be my friend, but........he doesn't seem to act like one.......or talk like one....wait how do I even know if his a guy anyways?
Well his body structure is pretty broady and from all the fairy tale books I've read, it's always a guy in shining armor.......or the princesses.....Eh I'll just go with it I don't want to spend to much time thinking about it right now I just want to find my friends. If I head up this road it should lead to Ponyville or should I go to SweetApple acre and meet them at the club house......they should be there since it is our hang out.
I thought about it for five more minutes until I......heard something coming from the far distance it was weak, but I think it's.........some pony saying.....something I can't tell what it is maybe I should speed up a bit and when I'm closer I can hear it better, so I quicken my pace just a little bit.
There I can hear it again it's stronger this time and I can make out a few words......ok it had an.....S.....and a C I don't know what it means, but if I hurry up a bit more I can catch the pony doing it or you know here him or her a bit better, so I sped up a bit more.
Ok now I can hear it better, it's now saying scoots.......wait scoots...could it be about me, but who would be calling me....the only people I know is rainbow, twilight, fluttershy, rarity, applejack and pinky pie, but there all busy with there own thing, so that would leave........oh shhhhhh-shrimp I forgot that my friends come running out after me when I bolted out of the classroom and I didn't tell them were I was going!
"Ok Toby we are going to have to run a bit if that's ok, why you ask it's because there's something I forgot to do, so I hope you can keep up!" silence as usual, so I'm going to take that he understood me and is ready to run., "In the count of three we run, one......two.....three go!" and I ran as fast as my little legs could carry me and I ran all the way up to the small hill in front of me and stop for a bit for a quick breather.
"Ok now where can they......oh there they are!" I can see them there not, so far from where I am and are walking up to my direction. Huh I guess they managed to keep for a bit before they lost me seeing that their taking the road that leads to my small make shift home. Now I just need to get there attention I took in a deep breath and filled my lungs and cheeks with as much air as they can carry....well I let out some air from my cheeks since they started to hurt.
I place two of my hooves in front of my mouth and shouted, "Hey guys I'm over here!" dang it, now I'm out of breath I hope they heard me. I lowered my head down to take some pretty heavy breath of air since I ran and shouted........anyways once I was done I picked up my head to see if they were heading my way, and just my luck....they did. They heard my call and were running my way......they seem to be running awfully fast......no actually their running really, really fast.........oh man I better...."Aagghh!".
I fell to the ground with a nasty thump, I weakly roll around on the ground with pains coming from my head to my back, it really bad, I wanted to get up and yell at them for running to fast and hurting me like that, but.....I can hear crying coming from them......and I think I know why.....oh man they really make it hard to stay mad at them.
So I suck up the pain and try to get them to calm down a bit, "Hey...guys..erh please don't cry I..." I tried to finish my sentence, but AppleBloom said, "Where...were you Scootaloo!" (Gulp) maybe I should of told them were I was going.....or you know....talk to them atleast..."Look AppleBloom....I-I didn't mean to worry you like...." she interrupted me again, "Why didn't you tell us where you were going, huh, we looked all over town trying to find you....we didn't know if you were going to be ok or....or..." she couldn't finish her sentence her tears manage to catch up to her before she could say anything.
SweetieBell place her hoof on AppleBlooms back to try to comfort her and she looks up to me and says, "Look we're just glad that we found you and....you're ok.....just..." she places her other hoof on my shoulder, "Don't do that again...please we are your friends....all we wanted was to help you." I look down to the ground feeling ashamed at myself for making my friends worry like that and having them look all over town just to find me.....it's just....(Sigh) wanted to be alone.
"I'm......sorry."
They both look at each other and both accept my apology AppleBloom says,
"It's ok Scoots just don't do that again ok...remember we are always their for you."
"I know..."
"So....(Sniff) let's just move on from this ok all that matters is that you're back and unharmed, so do ya mind telling us where you were?"
Oh crude......how do I tell them that I was in the EverFree Forest I'm sure they would freak out if I told them...think, think what can I use to change the subject....
"Hey Uh...instead of me telling you were I was how about I tell what I found?"
Smooth Scootaloo very smooth, I'm sure they'll go for it.
"Um....I guess?"

"Well you are never going to guess what I found today he is extremely cool looking, and.......doesn't.....say much....but he looks amazing here he is.......drum roll please..." Complete silence, "Oh never mind, here he his my new friend....Toby!"
I move out of the way, so that my friends could get a better look at him and bask in his glory.........still waiting........still waiting......still....ok what the heck what's taking, so long for them to gasp in amazement and shock? Wait a minute his like......ten times my size they should of seen him a mile away from.....
"Uh Scoots.......there's nopony there.."
"Wait......what!?"
I immediately turn around to find, what I thought would be a tall, fully armored being standing behind me to nothing, but dirt and grass with a soft breeze....."How the heck did I lose something like that....where the heck could he be!?"
Some where deep in the EverFree Forest
I can't believe Scootaloo left me behind in this forest she lost grip from my hand and didn't seem to notice that I wasn't behind her anymore it would be easy to track her down if she didn't go off the path and saying Oh don't worry Toby i know where im going this is a short cut. Now I'm lost in this forest with no way of finding the path and the deeper I go the thicker the trees seem to get.
(Sigh) it's fine though I'm used to getting lost in strange places I always seem to find my way out....and with some new equipment as well, but I doubt there's anything of value in here there only seems to be nothing, but trees and animals that keep giving me this weird look like I don't belong here or that I might eat them.
Now the forest its self is even stranger I keep having this feeling that I'm being watched.....and yeah I know nothing different, but it's not from people or pony's or even the animals, it's like the trees themselves are watching me.....like there keeping a close eye on me just encase I might do something.....I don't know I think I'm just being paranoid.When I think about it the forest kinda reminds me of Darkroot gardens except with out the killer shrubs or the giant stone warriors.
Where the heck could the path be I should of found it by now I don't think we traveled that far off.......wait do I hear something? I stop in place not wanting to move any further then I need to. I can't tell what it is, but there is now......voices except it's more like a distant chatter that's fading in and out.....then some weak yelling, and..........shouts of pain.......this.....is getting weird.
I continue to stand still not wanting to move until I find out what's causing this....so I wait and listen....not making any slight movements.....then I saw it.....a white fog made from nothing, but air......and the fog........started to take shape into a......hand, a very thin and feminine looking hand........I believe I.......know what....it is. I extend my right hand out and try to.....reach for, to....grasp it with my own hand...,but as soon as I made contact it just lost shape and structure and faded back into.....nothingness.
Why did I do that.....if I just left it alone I could of......but I didn't stop from there more white fogs started to appear, all of which were taking their own shapes and designs, some where tall with a muscular build, others were short with a slender look, and all of which look like........people. People having conversations, people fighting with one another, or fighting against. I believe, I know what......they are could they really, here?
Except one of them was different from the others it had glowing green eyes coming from behind the trees except the fog hasnt taken any shape I drew myself closer and closer to fog trying to get a better examination of it and the closer I got I started hearing a low growl coming from it.....could be from a dog? Strange I don't remember anybody having dog companions traveling with them, so what could this be?
I didn't see it coming it happened, so fast I was barely able to block it's attack it lunged at me with a furious bark and latched on to my left arm trying to sink it's teeth deeper in my armor. Luckily for me I managed to block it's bite with the armored part of my arm rendering it's attack pretty useless, but it sure didn't stop it from trying. This dogs are nothing I have ever seen it's entire body, even it's teeth are made from wood.
I place my foot right under it's stomach and pushed it right off of me and right into one of the trees with a loud thump and cracks being heard. The dog fell to the ground motionless and it's green eyes no longer glowing, either I knock it out or killed it doesn't matter, what matters is that Scootaloo might still be in this forest with this.....things still out there probably already hunting her down I can't let them get to her, but.....where do I go?
Well first off I need to find the path again if I find it then it'll probably lead to her.........I hope, but as I started to walk away from the wooden corpse laying on the ground.....I failed to notice that it's green eyes were lighting back up.
I have been wondering through the forest for hours now, and I still haven't found any path that could lead me out of this forest. The longer I travel, the more I worry for my new companion I made in this world. Sure she is young, and weird,.. and a horse, but it doesn't change the fact that it's now my responsibility to protect her, after all she did summon me and as long as I'm here, I shall do my job to the fullest.
Whatever that thing was I just fought a minute ago, it sure didn't look like a natural wolf. I didn't care that much about it, the point is that I can kill it and that's more then enough.
Now, I'm sure that I have never been here before. This area looks like nothing I have ever been to. Well.. Except for one area it kinda looks like Dark root gardens except less, well, creepy. It kinda looks like a picture from a child's book.. Let me explain a little more in detail. The colors of this area have a moody color, but more of a illuminated dark, if that makes sense to you whatsoever. And let's say it possibly could be Dark Root garden.. But... where are the killer plant things, that sprout from the ground when I get near them? And the stone guardians? They couldn't possibly just gone and left the area. The only things that were hostile towards me where these wolves made out of wood and leaves. Something's very off here, indeed.
Well, looking at it this way, maybe it's a new creature, or maybe it belongs somewhere else and just happened to wander into this land. But that wouldn't explain what Scootaloo is doing here, places like this isn't safe for a child, heck, the entire kingdom isn't safe for her! What parents in their right minds would let their child wonder off here, or any sort of forest in that matter?! Plus.. she said that there was a village not to far from here. If there's a village then that means they have been here for a long enough time to make it impossible for it to be Dark root. I've travelled across the area plenty of times and I've never encountered any sort of village. I don't think it's even big enough to hold a village... Well... Maybe where the hydra is, but I doubt they could of handle that or the crystal monsters, for that matter. So.. Where exactly am I?
I was with Scootaloo for about a couple of minutes before she ran off into the mist before I could react... Now that I think about it... Nevermind, I probably wouldn't have asked her anyway.
Wait, I have another question. Why in the world was she, so... Trusting of me? Judging by her facial expression she seemed shocked, scared and a slight bit excited, but she didn't run away or scream. She just... Stood there and waited. I could of killed her instantly if I wanted to, but she didn't seem to care, and that was before she got the note. So what did she experience? Something far worse then my presence, or did her child-like curiosity get the better of her? Either way, it was odd. Didn't her parents ever tell her the dangers of life or at least playing in the woods? I don't know anymore honestly, and I don't really want to think about this right now, my head is kind of aching.. Wait.. I think.....something is.....following me....
Could it be that strange wolf from before?.....Na I killed it I remember seeing it die, but........then again it was made of wood, so it's not just any ordinary wolf, so it probably can't die like one......I don't know this whole place is confusing first talking horses now.....tree wolfs what's next a chicken snake?
Ha that's pretty funny and no ones around to hear it, but then again it's not like I talk anyway......hold on is that.....talking I hear....I think it's coming from over there it's probably more of those talking horses......maybe they know a way out.

"Twilight how much longer are we going to be out here?" asked a very tired spike. They had been out in the EverFree forest for days now without having any rest, twilight responded, "Not much longer I've almost found it." To which spike rolled his eyes, "That's what you said ten hours ago, can we at least rest for a bit we've been looking for it for days and we haven't found any clues to where it may be.".
Twilight knew that here companion was tired, but she couldn't stop now not we she's, so close she can just feel it, she said, "We can rest when we find it I have a feeling we are getting very close.", Spike just lowered his head in defeat he knew there was no convincing her at least not at this moment, so for now his going to have to put up with it for awhile longer, but something click in his head.......what were they looking for again? It's been so long and plus the no rest didn't help with keeping his memory he decided to ask twilight what it was, "So...what are we looking for again?". Twilight scoffed silently in frustration, "Spike I've told you ten times already it's a very rare flower hidden in this forest that no pony knows what it's power are."
Spike was confused for a moment and ask, "So if no pony knows what it does why are we looking for it?" Twilight still continuing her walk answered his question, " Well if I were to find this plant first and discover what it does just imagine how impressed the princess would be, plus I can probably create a knew spell or find a cure for a certain diseases."
"Or it could be a new flavor of tea..."
Twilight turned her head, "Spike I highly doubt that a rare flower hidden in the EverFree forest could just be a certain flavor for tea." Spike shrugged his shoulders to her response and said, "Well you may never know twilight I mean Discord became good, and we all thought that would never happen."
"Well that's because we had Fluttershy to look after him."
"And how much faith did you have with her?"
"Well......"
Spike smirk with satisfaction proving twilight that see could be wrong........wow that's a first which makes it a bit more sweeter for him, he said, "See, so it could be a tea flavor and all this days of searching could be for nothing.......unless it tastes good?"
Twilight was starting to get frustrated with spike it is NOT a new tea flavor it could probably hold a lot of magical power and twilight is for sure going to be the first to find it! (Snap) "(Gasp).....Spike.....did you hear that?"
"What a stick snapping?" Spike looks around the area to see if there was anything around, but to him there was no one in sight, it was starting to scare Spike, but quickly faded away when all he could hear was silences once he was calm he said, "What do you think could of made that.......do you think it was made by some animal?" secretly hoping that it wasn't a timberwolf.
Twilight narrowed her eyes a carefully scanning the area for any movement, when she couldn't find any she just assumed it was made by a harmless animal and probably ran away, she turned around and said to Spike, "It was probably just some deer or a bunny." Spike wasn't to sure that it was just a deer or bunny, but he took her word for it, he said, "Can we leave already this place is just getting scarier and scarier every minute we're here, plus I haven't slept in days."
Twilight knew he was right, she cant just keep pushing him like this he needs his rest and, so does she when was the last time she'd look at a mirror she probably has at least three bags under her eyes. The flower is going to have to wait for some other time she places her hoof on Spike's shoulder and says, "Alright will go home for today and you get to sleep for as long as you want I'm sorry for keeping you up this long." Spike just place his claw on her hoof and says, "It's alright Twilight I know.....I.....I-I.....I.." Spike couldn't finish his sentence from the amount of fear that was going through his body not understanding the sight he was looking at. Twilight was confused for a moment from Spike's sudden stuttering, but from the look in his eyes she knew that he looking at something else.......something.....horrifying. She didn't want to turn for her fear was getting the best of her,.........but so was her curiosity and so far......it was winning.
Twilight carefully turned her head around to probably get a quick look at what it was, but once she got to see it......it became a long hard stare......in front of her was a strange being covered from head to toe in full body armor. What made this creature strange was the fact that it was standing on it's hind legs and had these.....these claw like thing coming from it's........well she's not actual sure what it is it didn't look like a hoof just.....something a lot different. Also......it was just staring back at them not moving or......saying anything...heck she couldn't tell if it was even breathing!
Twilight slowly and carefully walked over to Spike side not wanting to provoke it into attacking them. Once she got there she carefully lend her head next to his ear and whispered, "Ok.....I want you to stand perfectly still....I'm going to count to three and when I get to three I'm going to teleport us out of here....ok?" Spike nod in agreement, "Ok.....one....two...". Then out of nowhere a timberwolf jump out from behind the trees and attack the armored creature from behind, it didn't knock it down, but the wolf did manage to stager it for a bit, before he turned around and kick the wold in the stomach launching it into a near by tree, to which it made a cracking sound.
The wolf pick it's self back up and shock it's head lowering it's self and growling showing that it still wants to fight, but not with out help as two more wolfs come out from the trees trying to back up their friend. Twilight saw the creature raising it's shield and placing it's......hoof? On it's massive sword drawing it out completely, also showing that it's ready to fight twilight took advantage of the brawl and teleported both her and spike out of harms way and into the safety of there tree home.
When they realized that they were home Spike ran up twilight and hug her right leg tight and said, "What the heck was that!" She didn't know what to say to him she was just as confused as he was that........thing was obviously not from their world, so where the heck did it come from? It was intriguing sure, but it was also clearly dangerous I mean did you see the size of it's weapon! It was clearly larger then both her and spike combine and yet it was carrying it like it was made of feathers! There was so many questions that need to be answered and her head was just aching trying to figure them out, until the front door slam open as if some pony was in a hurry to get in when twilight turned to see who it was she saw that it was Scootalo who slammed the door, she said, "Scootaloo you're supposed to knock first not slam the door right open and just let yourself in."
Scootaloo was breathing heavily showing that she ran all the way here, but what does she need, so badly? Twilight asked, "So why are you here?" Scootaloo lowered her head and tried her best to calm her breathing. When her breathing got to the point where she could speak she said, "I need....(breaths) your help." Oh, so she needs her help, but with what?
"Wait who got lost and where?" Twilight asked with concern in her voice thinking that either Applebloom or Sweetiebell have gotten lost while they were playing. Scootaloo still struggling a bit to recover said, "His....a new friend of mine anyways I was out in the EverFr......", Twilight cut her off right their when she heard the word ever in that sentence and yelled at her for being in the ever free forest saying," What the hay were doing in the EverFree forest don't you know how dangerous it is for a little filly like you!!, even for your friend what were you thinking!".
Scootaloo had already prepared for twilight to yell at her the minute she saw her house. She knew being in the EverFree was dangerous, and risky, but she knew for sure that they weren't that deep in the forest, so there really wasn't any danger for them right?
But she couldn't shake the thought of him being out in the EverFree forest all by himself something could happen to him what if he runs into a timberwolf or something! She couldn't bear the thought of him getting hurt even with all that armor on there could be something that in that forest that can cut through, so with all the strength she can muster from within herself she open her mouth and said,"Yes I know twilight it's dangerous for me to be there and you can yell at me all you want, but my friend is somewhere in the woods by himself and I don't want anything to happen to him, so please can you help me find him?!"
Twilight was about to say something when she stopped and heard what Scootaloo said and saw in her eyes that she meant it. She dropped all the anger she had and decided it would be best to go out and try to look for scoots friend. His parents must be worried sick and with him still being lost out in the woods by himself is very worrying. Theirs no telling what could happen and every second they stay here means the closer he is at getting hurt, she said, "Alright I understand scootlaoo your friend is in danger and we need to go help him." as she finished her sentence Scootaloo ran towards her and squeezed her right leg tight saying, "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" twilight just looks down and smiles rubbing her head, she turns her head around says,"You're welcome, but first I need to know his name that way we can call out for him and find him easier." Scootaloo looks up at her and says, "Oh his name is Toby." Twilight gives a weird look and says, "Toby? That's an.....odd name?"
"It's a name I gave him, he wouldn't tell me his real name."
"Oh....well why not?"
Scootaloo just shrugs and says, "I don't know, I think he just doesn't feel like talking or..doesn't know how talk?"
"Oh...." Twilight spoke softly, "Do think he would respond if we call out his name?"
Scootaloo looks down and rubs the back of her head not sure of what to say, "Uumm....I think so? I really don't know twilight, but in the situation his in right now why wouldn't he.". She did make a point in the situations his in right why wouldn't he responded back to them twilight says, "Well just incase he doesn't I know a spell that can help us find your friend a lot easier." Scootaloo looks at her with and excited and a confused saying, "Really how does it work?".
"It's not that hard really I just focus my magic to specially find a filly or colt all I have to do is imagine a colt and like a radar it'll track any nearby pony down it's kind of like the game hot and cold, but if you want to have a better result just give me a picture of him.....which I'm guessing you don't have one with you."
Scootaloo just stood their kinda shocked when she heard the word colt...didn't she tell her that her new friend wasn't a pony......oh no she completely forgot to tell her didn't she her spell wouldn't work if she thinks she's looking for a pony. She says, "Wait twilight I forgot to mention that...." before she can finish spike interrupts her saying, "Look Scootaloo whatever you got to say it has to wait the sun is going down and if we don't leave right now it'll harder....and possibly more dangerous for us to find him."
She grew frustrated with spike for interrupting her, but she knew he was right if they don't leave now it'll be harder to find them she decided she just have to tell her on the way there, "Alright fine I'll just tell you on the way then come on we got to hurry!" and all three of them rush out the front door.

As the timber wolf laid before his feet he pulled out his sword from it's chest and placed it back in it's holster. He knew that it's only a matter of time before that thing comes back to life as the other wolves did. The best way to stop them was to set it on fire and let its remains burn, so it can't regenerate itself. He equipped his pyromancy flame and set the wolfs corpse on fire and slowly watches it burn in front of him, "There..." he thought, "That should be the last of them.....damn didn't think these wolfs would come back to life on their own without the need of the bonfire .....this place is a lot different then any other place I've been to...... I don't think I can remember any of the enemy's I fought doing that.....if all the enemy's here can do that.....then it just makes it a whole lot harder to survive huh...".
Toby can feel his will slowly dropping just thought of those type of enemy's existing he even wondered if all the enemies here can just resurrect themselves without the need for someone to rest at a bonfire...how can he fight something like that....can the bosses here do that too...can they just come back to life by themselves....it just makes the fight more unbearable and whatever hope he had is being slowly drained from him .......sometimes he wonders why his still fighting....what's the reason for him to continue on in the first place, to fulfill a prophecy? How does he even know his the chosen one, for all he knew he could just be a normal man fighting trying to prevent himself from going hollow like the rest that came before him. "I can't even remember how I even died or...who I was before I died...I can't even remember my own name! The only name I know of is Toby and it was given to me by a talking horse....how do i even know if she's real and not just a figment of my imagination have I gone, so mad that I made up a talking horse to keep me company? Did I just imagine these enemy's being made of wood and coming back to life and all this time I've just been burning corpses! I just.....I just....".
Toby falls to his knees with his arms flopping lazily to his sides, he looks up at the leaves that are providing shade for him, protecting his eyes from the bright sun, "I don't even know any more.....was I even summoned or......is this all in my head?" he thought to himself, but his depression was interrupted by low deep growl coming from behind him.
He slowly turned his head around and saw something hiding in the bushes as he looked carefully he can see two big green orbs coming closer and closer to where he was, but.....he didn't move...he just kneeled their without moving a single muscle...and as it grew closer he got to see it more clearly.
It was one of those tree wolves he fought before, but this one was far bigger then the others, as in it could possibly reach one of the tallest trees in this forest, he thought, "Oh great another one and you just, so happen to be the biggest one that this things,got, well that's just fantastic and let me guess you can regenerate to can you.....why do I even ask of course you can all of the other three I fought could, so why can't you."
The big timberwolf lift up it's gigantic paw and swooped down to Toby's right side hitting him directly on his right arm and side. He flung in the air with ease hitting one of the trees with tremendous force, getting lodged into it, "Ow...ok that kinda hurt." he said to himself as he removed himself from the tree he lands on his two feet not raising his shield or unsheathing his sword any fight he had in him was slowly being drained out of him, "I'm going to end up dying anyways." he thought to himself. The timber wolf swoop its right paw hitting directly sending him spiraling into the air and slamming onto the ground. He didn't pick bother to pick himself up and just continued to lay on the floor. The timber took advantage of the moment and brought up his right paw again bring it down on Toby slamming him on his back breaking a few ribs, Toby groaned in pain, but still continued to do nothing and with the wolfs paw still on his back it started to implied pressure on him trying to crush Toby with it's weight.
Toby didn't feel like fighting anymore he just wanted to die already he didn't see the point in trying to fulfill some prophecy if some other guy is able to do it, so what made him any special. He'll just end up going hollow like the rest just like....
"Oh no Toby!!"
He stopped thinking for a moment when he heard a voice...it...sounded like....that girl he just meet...what was her name....Scootaloo right? Struggling to raise his head he saw a glimpse of where the voice is coming from it was her the girl he meet before. "Oh great..." he thought to himself, "Why is my mind bringing her up again to give me some motivation to continue living or is it trying to depress me even more.....you already want me to go hollow this fast?" his head then slams back onto the floor the wolf still trying to crush Toby.
"Toby!!" Scootaloo said, "Please get up! I don't want to see you die!" She had so much feeling in her voice.....as in she does care for him. It didn't really make much sense to him, she's just a figment of his imagination right?
Why would his brain try, so hard to make her sound real?
Maybe.....there was something in his mind that wants him to live?......possibly, "Eeeggh fine." he thought.
He lifted himself up and pushed against the timber wolfs force with ease. Its slightly widen when it saw Toby easily out matching in strength and tried to apply more pressure on him to try to bring him back on the ground, but as hard as he tried he couldn't do it. When Toby lifted himself high enough to place one knee on the ground and quickly placed both of his palms on it's paw lifting them up even higher, "You want to give me a reason to live......fine I'll continue to fight...I still don't see a point anymore, but.....I guess she'll have to do.". With all his might he threw it's paw straight into the air surprising both the timber wolf and Scootaloo with his strength and quickly rolled away from it to get some distance, he place his right hand on his weapon and raised his shield.
