Chapter 1
It was a quiet day in ponyville; Celestia’s sun was shining in the clear sky for every living thing. Outside of Ponyville sat an apple fields of Sweet Apple acres. In the fields was a tree house and in it were three little fillies named Applebloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo known as the Cutie Mark Crusaders. The Crusaders were thinking of new ideas to earned their cutie mark but couldn’t come up with anything. So they were on the floor, on their backs, out of ideas, and had boredom on their faces.”Anything yet?” said Scootaloo.
The only response Scootaloo got was a “Nope.” and a “Nuh-huh.” Scootaloo then sat up and spoke, “Oh come on girls there’s gotta be something we haven’t done yet!”Sweetie Belle and Applebloom sat up as well.
“Hmm... how about Cutie Mark Crusaders Discoverers?” said Sweetie Belle.
“Hey yeah! that’s not a bad idea Sweetie Belle... but where’d would we go Discovering?”
she said while placing a hoof on her chin. “Ah know. the Everfree Forest! Who knows what we can discover there!” said Applebloom.
“That’s perfect Applebloom! I’ll go get the wagon, you two get the equipment so we can go Discovering.” Scootaloo then gallop out the clubhouse’s door to get the wagon ready.
“Alright Sweetie Belle, lets hurry up and get the equipment.”
“Okay, I’ll go get the helmets!”
<Meanwhile in the Everfree Forest>
A portal appeared about a mile away from the edge of the forest entrance. The portal then started to shake while a colt starts to appear right out of the portal. When the colt was fully out of the portal, it landed on the ground with a loud thud while the portal finally close. Everything was silent for a moment until there was a gasp followed by a loud coughing sound coming from the small colt.
The small colt was starting to awake, slowly fluttering its eyes while it groan in pain, ”Ow my head.” The small colt said while trying getting up, standing on its hind legs, but fell forward landing flat on his face, ”Ooww.” The small figure cried bringing both hooves to its sore nose. When the pain finally faded away, the small colt looked up only to see trees that were blocking some of the light from the sun.
“W-where... a-am I...” said the small colt while trying to figure out where he is. "W-why...can't I remember anything." Said the panicking colt, "I-i need to get out of here, its getting to s-scary." Standing up on all four hooves , the colt try to take a step, but failed doing so. "I need to get up."
Standing up on all four hooves again, "Alright nice and slowly... oof... darn it!" After a couple trys, the colt seceded. Looking around, the colt thought to himself, "Hmm... maybe I should go... this way." After the colt wandered around for a while, he finds a dirt trail that leads to lesser trees around the area. "I hope I can find someone to help me."
<Outside of the Everfree Forest entrans>
The Cutie Mark Crusaders were stopping for a moment to make sure they didn't forget anything for their Cutie Mark Crusaders Discovering. “Rope?” said Applebloom holding a check list while Sweetie Belle was looking at their equipment.
“Check!" Scootaloo, on the other hoof, was slump forward on the bars of her scooter, already bored for still waiting for her friends to finish.
“Jars?”
“Check!”
“Magnifying glass?”
“Check!”
“Saddlebags?”
“Check!”
“This is taking forever.” groaned Scootaloo. “Hey Apple Bloom are you and Sweetie Belle done yet?” she ask while turning her head tores her friends.
“Eeup! were all set, now we can go.”
Applebloom and Sweetie Belle than jump into the wagon with their Cutie Mark Crusaders equipments. “Finally! You girls were taking forever!” Scootaloo then started to buzz her wings and shoot forward into the everfree forest with the other Crusaders in tow.
“So where are we going to start searching for our Cutie Mark Discovering?” Ask Sweetie Belle.
“Well we should probably begin our Cutie Mark Discovering close to Zecora’s hut. Just in case if we were hurt or somethin’.”
“I guess you're right, I still remember when we were looking for one of Fluttershy’s escape chicken but then that cockatrice shows up and tried to turn us into stone.” She said a bit worried that another cockatrice might show up again.
“Don't’ worry Sweetie Belle, Fluttershy said that cockatrices don’t come near the forest edge for another few years!”
Sweetie takes a deep breath of relief knowing that she won’t be seeing any more cockatrice.
“You do realise that there’s more dangerous creatures in the Everfree Forest right?” said Scootaloo reminding them of the other dangers animal.
”Oh yea ah fer got abou’ that... guess we'll have't be careful or otherwise will be eaten." The CMC were quiet for a moment until they heard growl.
"W-what was that!" Said a scared Sweetie Belle.
"Sorry that was me I forgot to eat breakfast this morning." Said a hungry Scootaloo.
Sweetie Belle was thinking, then she remembered she have cookie in her saddlebags. "Here Scootaloo, you can have this cookie. I was saving it for a snack, but you can have it!" Said Sweetie Belle. Hearing what Sweetie said. Scootaloo turn around and eyed the cookie that Sweetie was holding out.
"Thanks Sweetie Belle."
Scootaloo was about to reach for the cookie until- "Scootaloo! Look out!"
Next thing Scootaloo know, that they were sent flying and landed on the dirt trail. The Crusaders groan a bit of pain from the hard landing. Applebloom was the first one to get up, but when she opened her eye, all she was seeing was double. Quickly snapping out of it, Applebloom look where the other Crusaders were. "Are you girls alrigh'?" Ask Applebloom.
"I don't know... but I think I broke something." Said Scootaloo.
"What about you Sweetie Belle?"
"I'll be fine, its a good thing landed on something soft." Replied Sweetie Belle.
"Sweetie Belle that was me who you landed on!" Said an angry Scootaloo.
"Oh, sorry Scootaloo." Scootaloo turn to Applebloom.
"What did we hit anyway?" Scootaloo ask.
"Ah think we hit somepony." Said Applebloom.
Sweetie Belle look around, "I don't see anypony Applebloom. Maybe it was an animal we hit and it ran off."
While Applebloom and Sweetie Belle were trying figure out what they hit. Scootaloo was checking herself to see if she really broke something, so far all she have are a few sore muscle. Scootaloo then felt a drop of liquid on her foreleg. "Huh?" Scootaloo look down at her foreleg, seeing something red. "Is this... b-blood." Looking down at her chest, she saw a small amount of blood and yet there were no cut or small open wounds.
"Wait, if this isn't mine then who's blood is it?" Turning to her friends to make sure they aren't hurt, but see nothing wrong with them. Thinking what Applebloom said about hitting somepony with her scooter- "My scooter!" Turning around to see her scooter still in one piece. Scootaloo look for any sign of damages and so far found none. Scootaloo then turn to the red wagon that was flip over and all their saplies were scattered around the wagon. Walking to the upside down wagon. Scootaloo flip it on it's four wheels, but Scootaloo heart almost stop from what she found.
Under the wagon was a colt, probably the same age as Scootaloo and her friends. The colt has a snowy white coat, the same as Sweetie's, his mane and tail are a silver color with a yellow golden stripe. But what got Scootaloo attention the most is that the colt has both horn and wings. The colt also has a deep cut just below the horn. "Girls!"
"What is it Scoots." Scootaloo step aside for her friends to have a look at the unmoving colt. Applebloom and Sweetie Belle both gasp.
Applebloom wanted to tell Sweetie Belle that she was right, but was to shocked to see the unmoving colt and Sweetie Belle was staring all of the blood and fainted. "What are we going to do?! We killed somepony! I don't wanna go to jail!" Said a panic Scootaloo.
"Come down Scoots. We still don' know if hes dead." Applebloom walk to the colt and put an ear to his chest. Thump...Thump...Thump "Don' worry Scoot hes still alive. Hes just unconscious." Said Applebloom.
"And so is Sweetie Belle." Said Scootaloo. Applebloom turn to a pass out Sweetie Belle. "What are we going to do? We can't take him to the hospital or otherwise we'll be in deep trouble." Scootaloo did have a point and if Applejack did found out that they were at the Everfree Forest, she won't hear the end of it from her.
"Alrigh' this we'll do, lets take him back to the clubhouse. A first aid kit there so we can take care of that cut on his head." Applebloom lift the colt into the wagon. "Come on lets go before somepony sees us."
"Uh... Applebloom you're forgetting about Sweetie Belle." Scootaloo points a hoof to their still unconscious friend.
"Oh ponyfeather, now we have two ponies to take care of 'sigh' its a good thing we have some smelling salt." After they lifted Sweetie Belle into the wagon they set off straight to the clubhouse.
No sooner than later, they arrived at the clubhouse without being seen, "Scootaloo go look for the first aid kit while ah drag them two inside."
"On it!" Scootaloo ran into the clubhouse, searching for the first aid, "Found it!" Scootaloo turn just in time to see a out of breath Applebloom with their unconscious friend and the unknown colt. She then place to them on the wooden floor and clasp. "You okay Applebloom?" Ask Scootaloo.
"Yeah 'pant' just let me catch mah breath."
