It's Pinkie and Rainbows' first date, what could go wrong?

After the Gala Rainbow and Pinkie go on their first date. What could go wrong? Well, everything.

The image is edited slightly by yours truly, but the original image does not belong to me, and a big thanks to Rootbeer Dew for helping me with editing!

Inspired by She's My Man from Scissor Sisters on their Ta-Dah album, I personally think the video is pretty cool.

"I know, but it really wasn't that bad. They let up after I beat them up in every race."

"Yea, but they still sound like big meanies." Pinkie called over the howling wind.

"Come on Pinks, lets forget the past. All that matters to me right now is that you're enjoying yourself."

"Yea I guess." She said looking down off Rainbow Dash's back. It was a beautiful night, not too chilly but not too hot either with Luna's full moon gracing the starry night sky.

"So I guess this is our first official date, huh?" Rainbow asked.

The question caught Pinkie a little off guard, but she quickly responded. "Yea, I guess. Pretty neat when you think about it." She exhaled. "Hey, where are we going anyway?"

"We are going to my favorite restaurant from when I was a foal. My dad used to take me there all the time after flight school. They have the best garden salad in all of Equestria, and no one would even give the place a second look." She responded.

"And here you are telling me to forget the past." Pinkie said with a mischievous smile.

"Yea, yea." Rainbow chuckled.

"So, you got that walk on clouds spell right?" Rainbow asked.

"Yup, come on Dashie stop worrying so much. This is supposed to be fun!" Pinkie said jumping onto the cloud city.

"Alright, sorry. I just don't want you to get hurt."

"Oh you shouldn't worry about me Dashie, I can take care of myself."

"You're right, sorry."

"Come on, this isn't the time for apologies. We're supposed to be having a good time." Pinkie said picking up Rainbow and holding her above her head.

"Alright, alright," Rainbow chuckled, "now come on, put me down."

"So what are you gonna get?" Rainbow asked sliding into the booth.

"That salad you were talking about sounds pretty good." Pinkie responded.

"I'm telling you, we've been all across Equestria and not a single place had garden salad better than here."

"I bet I know what you're getting." Pinkie asked with a sly grin.

"Yup." Rainbow replied.

"So, anything new going on?" Pinkie asked.

"Ehh, not much. The weather team just finished up the April showers. There really isn't too much for us to do in May. The only major event is the one in Stalliongrad. They're ordering up a storm long enough to last a year, but my weather team is too far away to help." Rainbow said.

"Jeez, why would anyone want so much rain?" Pinkie asked.

"Ehh, from what I hear ponies over there love rain when it's warm, since all they usually get is snow. What about you, anything interesting?"

"Well, the Cake's just lost a muffin bake off to Derpy, and-" She began before the door of the restaurant swung open, and three stallion's walked in.

They all had bangs that were well over their eyes. Two of them had brown coats while the other had a gray one.

"And then-" Pinkie said taking in a breath.

"Pinkie wait!" Rainbow said cutting her off. "Did you see those stallions that came in?"

"Yea, what about 'em?" She asked.

"They were the ones I was telling you about earlier." She said in a hushed voice.

"Ooooh..." Pinkie said understanding. "I thought you said they left you alone?"

"They did after I told the flight instructor they were teasing me." She said blushing.

"Well, they're not bothering us now so I'm sure it's fine, right?" Pinkie said.

"Yea I guess I should stop worrying so much." Rainbow said.

"So aaanyway, then once they got back..." Pinkie started.

"Oh dude then what?" Dumb-bell asked.

"Then she turned around smacked me with her tail and walked away." Hoops finished with a sigh.

"Hahahahaha!"

"Wait a minute, see those two sitting in the other booth?"

"Yea, what about them?"

"Look, that's Rainbow Crash!"

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

"So I guess you liked the salad?" Rainbow asked.

"You could say that again!" Pinkie said finishing the last of it.

"Jeez I haven't even started to make a dent in mine yet." Rainbow chuckled.

"Need any help?" Pinkie asked eagerly reaching out her hooves.

"No way!" She laughed batting them away.

"Well well well, look who we have here," a voice said teasingly. "If it isn't Rainbow Crash."

Rainbow tensed up at hearing this, but quickly got her cool back.

"And if it isn't Hoops, Score, and Dumb-Bell." She spat back.

"Hey! Oh wait, that's my name..."

"Wow..." Rainbow said rolling her eyes.

"Yea that was pretty bad dude." Hoops said.

"Whatever, why don't you guys get lost." Rainbow said.

"How 'bout no Rainbow Crash."

"You know, the way I remember things is that I beat you a lot more then you beat me."

"Oooh ho no, I don't think so..." Hoops and Dumb-Bell started arguing with her.

Meanwhile Score was standing in back rolling his eyes at the argument. After all these years he'd hoped that this stupid feud ended.

Then he noticed the pink mare sitting in the other side of the booth, and he decided to walk over.

"Hey, what are you doing here?" He asked.

"Trying to enjoy my date." She said angrily.

"Your date?"

"Yes, my date."

"Are you on a double date with Rainbow over there?"

"No." She replied stoically.

"Oh, is your coltfrend in the bathroom?"

"No, my marefriend is sitting right there." She said pointing at Rainbow Dash, anger evident in her voice.

"Oh... you and her are..."

"Yea." Pinkie snapped.

"Oh, I'm so sorry for interrupting." He said scratching his neck.

"You're friends don't seem very sorry." She shot back.

Score sighed, "I honestly wish that they stopped this stupid feud. She beat us, she was better than us. It's something I've come to terms with but, they obviously haven't. For what is worth you picked a very good flier to date."

"Yea.." She said, a weak smile visible on her face.

Then Score was pushed out of the way and, his face replaced by that of Hoops.

"And who is this beautiful mare?" He asked.

"She's mine! Leave her out of this!" Rainbow said, hatred seething in her voice.

"Wait, she's yours?" He said looking back and forth at the two until he finally made the connection

"Oh, no way! Hahaha, you're even lamer than I thought Rainbow Crash! Hahaha!"

"Alright that's it." Pinkie said standing up.

"No Pinks you really don't-"

"So why don't you tell me exactly what you think of Rainbow Dash." Her voice horrifyingly calm.

"Well, she has to be the slowest and worst flier in all of Equestria." He responded.

"Alright then." She said slowly walking over to Hoops.

"Oh, I'm so scared!" He said sarcastically.

"You should be!" Rainbow said ducking underneath the table.

"Wait, what?" He asked, shortly after feeling his hooves losing contact with the ground.

"What the heck!" He yelled as he was lifted up over Pinkie's head and being chucked out the open window landing seemingly unharmed but scared by the events that had just occurred.

Then she went over picking up Dumb-Bell and tossing him out the same open window, landing on top of Hoops.

Then she turned to Score who's jaw hung agape. "You should go." Pinkie told him.

"Yea... bye!" He said as he shot out the door with Score and Dumb-Bell in tail

"You can come out now Dashie." She called.

"Is it over?" She said popping her head up.

"Yup, those guys won't be bothering you for quite a while." Pinkie said with a smile.

"Great," she said smileing weakly, "but I'm sorry about what happened."

"Hey, it's not your fault they were so mean."

"Yea, but it is my fault, I should settle my disputes instead of them getting chucked out a window." She giggled.

"Yea, but hey I had fun and the food was as good as you said it would be." She said.

"You know, I knew you were strong, but I didn't know you could throw two grown stallions out a window!"

"Yea, rock farms build muscle."

"Pffff, I knew that... anyway, you ready to head out?"

"Yea, sure!" She replied with a smile.

Once again Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie were airborne, soaring above Equestria under the shining moon and glittering stars. Although to Pinkie, they didn't have the same glow as they did at the beginning.

"Hey Dashie?" Pinkie asked.

"What's up Pinks?"

"Remember how you apologized about the fight?" She asked.

"Yea, why"?

"It was really my fault, I feel like I ruined our first date." She said with a sigh.

"Are you kidding? It was in no way your fault!" She said looking back on a straight mane, sad eyed Pinkie Pie.

"Ugh..." Rainbow Dash grunted, then shot of at blazing speed.

"What are you doing!" Pinkie yelled, being forced to put her hooves around Rainbow's neck to keep from falling off.

When they slowed down Pinkie looked down to see the glittering lights of Manehatten below her. "Uhh, Dashie what are we doing in Manehatten?" She asked.

"You'll see." She said, landing on one of the tallest skyscrapers in the city. "Wow, I guess it is the city that never sleeps." Pinkie muttered looking towards the streets below crowed with meny busy coach cars being pulled all over the city, and the skyline aglow with a brilliant yellow light.

Although the city was beautiful, it's chilly air caused Pinkie to begin to shiver. Noticing her distraught Rainbow extended her wing and took Pinkie under it. Pinkie excepted the embrace and snuggled closely against the rainbow pegasus.

"Pinkie," Rainbow said not looking straight ahead, "you have to understand, there is no way you could ever ruin anything for me. You are the sweetest, kindest pony anyone could hope to know, not to mention you throw killer parties." She said with Pinkie blushing at her compliments. "But there is one thing that will never change, " She said looking at the mare under her wing, "you are and always will be my Pinkie Pie, protecting me, cheering me on, picking me up when I'm down, and giving me support when it matters the most."

"Oh Dashie, I-" She started before getting cut off by her lips being met with Rainbow's.

Then they pulled apart and stared into each other's eyes.

"I love you too." Rainbow said.
