A magic rock on the moon has the power to bring back Nightmare Moon! Princess Luna starts to have bad dreams about Nightmare Moon's return. But she doesn't say anything. Nopony has any idea of the danger. Will princess Luna tell somepony? Or will the night last forever!
" Hello Luna,nice to see you again." Said a voice. Luna knew this voice, it was...
"Nightmare Moon!" Said Luna.
"Come out right now!"
"Well alright." Said the voice again,and Nightmare Moon came out of the shadows.
" Wwwhy... Hhhow?" stammered Luna.
"Ha ha ha." Laughed Nightmare Moon.
"I don't need you for glory. Celestia's dead and the sun will never rise. The night shall last forever! Ha ha ha."Nightmare Moon's mane spun In circles and lightning flashed. Luna fell and started to cry.
"No." Luna said between sobs.
"No,no,no."
Luna woke her bed soaked in tears.It was midnight. She was crying.
"Luna whats wrong?" Asked Princess Celestia. She had heard her sister Crying and yelling no,no,no and ran to her.
"Nothing Tia." Answered Luna.
"Yes something's wrong!" Celestia half yelled
"Your bed is soaked in tears and your crying like a waterfall!"
"Well I guess I had a bad dream." Luna admitted.
"What happened in your dream?" Asked Celestia.
"It's nothing Tia, really." Said Luna.
"Alright then." Said Celestia
"Now get some sleep."
"OK." Luna said eager to get some sleep. Celestia left and Luna laid down and fell asleep.
Luna was running through the castle.
"Tia! Tia! Where are you?" Luna yelled. she ran into the throne room and there was Celestia laying dead on the floor
"No." Luna started to cry.
"I told you she was dead." said Nightmare Moon. She was sitting on the throne.
"Now lets join together to make eternal night."
"No." Said Luna
"I will not join you!"
"O-well." Said Nightmare Moon.
" I thought you would agree. But no. I will rule myself then." Nightmare Moons mane wrapped around Luna.
" And you will not stop me!" Nightmare Moon yelled. And Luna saw a flash of light. Luna woke with Celestia over her.
"Time to lower the moon and raise the sun." Said Celestia.
"OK." Said Luna shaking. She tried to forget about the dreams. But she felt they meant something...But what?
Luna raised the moon the next night. But she didn't go to bed. She watched the moon and the stars. But she needed her sleep. Luna dozed off around midnight.
White rock was everywhere. Nopony in sight. All that was comforting to Luna was the stars. Not even the moon could comfort her now. For she was on the moon. She could see home far away.
"Why?" She said. " Why?" Than she saw a rock. This rock seemed to glow. she walked to it. Then a magic mist like Nightmare Moons mane came out of it. than Nightmare Moon appeared laughing.
Luna woke up on the balcony. She knew what the dreams meant.
Luna knew what she had to do. But would she keep it a secret or tell somepony? Luna didn't know.
"I could tell Tia." Luna said to herself.
"Or deal with it myself. I guess it's my responsibility so I'll do it tonight by myself." Luna was quiet that day.Thinking about that night. But she still did her duties.

Finally night came. Princess Celestia lowered the sun and Luna rose the moon. \ "Time to go to bed Luna."Celestia said.
"I will." Luna answered. But then a thought struck her.
"What if I'm not back by dawn?" She asked aloud.
"Your going somewhere tonight?" Celestia asked.
"Yeah" Luna answered thinking of a lie.
"I'm going to visit Candace."
"And your going at night because..?" asked Celestia.
"Because..." Luna searched her mind for a reason but it was blank. So she said
"Just trust me Tia."
"Alright, see you at dawn." And with that Celestia disappeared into the castle. Luna breathed a sigh of relief. Now just wait till midnight.
Luna waited and waited and waited. A few hours felt like years! Finally the clock struck midnight. Luna flew high up over Canterlot. Then facing the moon, she used her magic and projected herself to the moon.
Luna hit the moon hard knocking her out. She woke up hours later.
"My head hurts." Luna complained. then she saw it.
"The rock" Luna said as she walked over to the rock. It was amazing. The rock glowed bright white. Then the mist came out of it. Soon Nightmare Moon was in front of Luna
"Well well well." Said Nightmare Moon.
"I see we meet again. Now lets be one once more."
"No!" Said Luna getting ready to fight.
"Well than I will be on my way." Said Nightmare Moon.
"You have to get through me first!" Luna yelled. ` Without saying a word Nightmare Moon shot at Luna.
"That's done." Nightmare Moon said as she flew to earth leaving Luna on the moon.
"Where is Luna!?" Celestia asked her self wile pacing. Then she looked at the moon. She saw the unicorn head crater mark.
"Luna!" Celestia cried. She took off heading for the crystal empire. She had to stop several times to sooth pony's panic. Just as she saw the crystal empire, she heard a voice.
"She lied. She went to the moon after me." Nightmare Moon informed Celestia.
"No. Luna." Celestia said. Then she teleported to Canterlot and flew to the castle.
"Guards! Celestia yelled. All of the guards came.
"Get ready to fight!" Soon indigo smoke was coming nearer and nearer. Nightmare Moon appeared in front of Celestia.
"I have a army, give up!" Celestia yelled.
"You think I would give up." Nightmare Moon said as she hypnotized half of the army.
"ATTACK!" Nightmare Moon and Celestia said at the same time. The 2 army's attacked. So did Nightmare Moon and Celestia. The 2 alicorns shot at each other and blocked shots in till Celestia shot Nightmare Moons mask. This cracked it and burned it, making Nightmare Moon very angry. She shot at Celestia's chest plate and crown. Then Celestia shot at Nightmare Moons Chest plate. Soon the 2 alicorns were shooting each other burning their coats. Not even bothering to block the shots. They were to angry. Nightmare Moon picked up a sword with her magic. Then she started cutting Celestia. Celestia did the same cutting Nightmare Moon . They shot magic beams hitting one another. At first Celestia's beam was stronger. Then Nightmare Moons. It wavered in the middle for awhile. But at last Nightmare Moons beam burnt Celestia's horn. The world went still as Celestia fell. Celestia slowly opened her eyes. Only to see Nightmare Moon hypnotizing the rest of the army. Then Nightmare Moon dived at Celestia and picked her up. Celestia closed her eyes expecting to die. She felt her self being thrown and hitting a wall. She opened her eyes. She was in a dungeon cell. she saw Nightmare Moon in front of her.
"Thank you for not killing me." She said. Then she fainted, leaving nothing in Nightmare Moons way.
