"Hey, Flutter!" yelled Rainbow Dash while she was sitting on a cloud in the blue sky.
FlutterShy looks up and sees her friend, "Hello. How are you?"
"Pretty darn good! Whatcha up to?" she said.
FlutterShy looks nervous at her friend, "I-I need to tell you something."
Rainbow Dash stares at Flutter rasing an eyebrow. She thinks in her head what the possiblities of the secret are and responsed normally "Yeah? What is it?"
"I-It's a secret" FlutterShy says nervously as she kicks the dirt on the ground softly.
The blue pegasus flew down and landed in front of FlutterShy with a thump.
The shy little pegasus now began to sweat and her eyes begin to shift side to side. She was shaking and couldn't say anything but managed to choke words out.
"Umm I gotta go....ummm.....help Applejack with...ummm....apple bucking....ummm...yeah.....see ya later!" FlutterShy said taking off toward the farm.
Rainbow Dash sighed and flew after her catching up quickly. She grabbed FlutterShy's arm and stopped her.
"FlutterShy you are a TERRIBLE lier! Your worse then Applejack! Now tell me!" The frustrated pegasus said pulling her closer so their noses touch and stares into FlutterShy's eyes.
" But Applejack doesn't lie" FlutterShy pointed out.
At this comment, Rainbow Dash's light blue face turned red.
"UGH! Of course FlutterShy!" She said screaming at the top of her lungs. "She doesn't lie! That's why she's horrible at it!" she screamed more frightening her little friend.
Seeing FlutterShy terrified she calmed down and let go of her arm. Her face was now blue again and she said quietly to her sighing before beginning, "Flutter, you know you can tell me anthing in all of Equestria. Now for Celestia's sake tell me" she said rasing her voice.
" Okay I'll tell you, but somewhere else" FlutterShy said looking around.
"Okay. Come on!" Said Rainbow Dash as she flew up in the air excitedly. "We can talk at your place quietly" She said flying to FlutterShy's cottage.
FlutterShy followed after running. Once they got to the door they ran in and locked it.
"Okay what is it Flutter!?!" Rainbow Dash said crossing her arms.
FlutterShy felt pressured and couldn't say anything but mumble quietly.
"Listen to me FlutterShy" said Rainbow Dash putting her hooves on FlutterShy's shoulders.
"It's probably not that bad. It's not like you killed somepony". Rainbow Dash look her friend straight in the eyes concerned.
"You didn't kill anypony right?" she said a little shakey.
FlutterShy gulped and said calmly, "No. I did not kill anypony."
Rainbow Dash sighed in relief and looked at the yellow pegasus. She smiled at her and asked calmly, "Okay what is it?"
"It's about Pinkie Pie!" FlutterShy yelled from the pressure. She imediately covered her mouth in embarressment.
Rainbow Dash looked at her friend and removed her hooves away from her mouth.
"What about Pinkie Pie?" Rainbow Dash said tilting her head
FlutterShy swollowed hard and took a deep breath
" She told me she loves me and she wants me to be her special somepony!" FlutterShy blurted quickly.
Rainbow Dash looked at FlutterShy in suprise and managed to ask, "Really?"
FlutterShy then nodded and waited to hear from Rainbow Dash who stood there not moving.
"Do you like her back?" Rainbow Dash said quietly not blinking.
" No. I told her I did so I didn't hurt her feelings " FlutterShy said sadly. "If I tell her the truth...It will crush her" she said lowering head and drops her ears.
Rainbow Dash put her arm around FlutterShy. FlutterShy looked up into her rose colored eyes and smiled.
FlutterShy realised something and tackles Rainbow Dash. She makes them roll and soon pins Rainbow Dash to the ground.
"You must PINKIE SWEAR not to tell anypony" FlutterShy said standing over her.
Rainbow Dash blushed and said the swear.
" Cross my heart hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye" she said sticking her hoof in her eye smiling.
FlutterShy was amused so she moved to the side. Rainbow Dash got up and dusted herself off.
"Wow Flutter. I never thought you would ever do that." She said after finishing off dusting herself.
FlutterShy blushed at her friends comment.
"Well I learned it from you and just never used it" FlutterShy said rubbing her leg and looking away.
The blue pegasus looked at the shy little pony.
"Really?" Rainbow Dash said in amazement.
FlutterShy looked at Rainbow Dash and nodded. "I've also been learned how to buck like Applejack. She's been teaching me" she said.
"I'm happy for you FlutterShy! Your getting stronger!" Rainbow Dash said giving FlutterShy a tight hug.
FlutterShy's eyes nearly popped out because the hug was so tight.
"Umm. D-Do you mind p-putting me down? Your crushing my internal organs." FlutterShy said with a cracked voice.
"Oh, yeah. Sure" Rainbow Dash said and let her friend go.
FlutterShy finally could breath. She breathed in and out deeply and smiled at Rainbow Dash. Rianbow Dash smiled back.
"Sorry I was just excited to know your getting braver and stronger" she said with a grin.
"Oh it's quiet alright" FlutterShy said giving her a hug, but not nearly as tight as Rainbow Dash's.
Rainbow Dash's eyes got big and watery as began to think about how much FlutterShy is a good friend and was always there for her. FlutterShy saw the tears in her eyes and began to worry.
" Are you okay? Did I hurt you? Oh I am terribly sorry." FlutterShy said in a panic.
Rainbow Dash wiped away the tears and realised she was crying.
" Ugh! You poines have been making me soft" Rainbow Dash said.
FlutterShy giggled and said sorry.
"No need to say sorry" Rainbow Dash said taking FlutterShy's hooves.
FlutterShy blushed and looks away so Rainbow Dash can't see. Rainbow Dash puts her hoof on FlutterShy's chin and gently moves her head to face her. Rainbow Dash smiled and watched FlutterShy smile with her eyes shining. Rainbow Dash leaned in toward FlutterShy. And even closer. Even close till their noses touched.
"You got something in your eye FlutterShy" Rainbow Dash said chuckling and backs off.
FlutterShy blushed and ran into the bathroom to get it out. She came back a few minutes later.
" Thank you Rainbow Dash. I didn't even notice" FlutterShy said giggling.
"Yeah no problem. I had to get closert to make sure I was postitive it was there" Rainbow Dash said taking a bite from an apple. Rainbow Dash looked at the clock. "I gotta go Flutters. It's getting late. See you tomorrow. Bye!" she said running out the door waving.
"Bye" FlutterShy whispered to herself. She smiled and climbed into bed.
The next morning FlutterShy woke up and stretched while she yawned. She sat up in bed and rubbed her eyes.
"Good morning" she said to all the woodland creatures on the floor waiting for her to feed them.
She slowly got out of bed and walked into the living room with all the small animals following her. She grabbed the bag of food in her mouth and started to pour them food. When she finished some of the animals brushed her mane and she headed out to town.
FlutterShy was walking through town and she decided to visit Pinkie Pie. She walked into the bake shop and walked to Pinkie Pie who was playing with Gummy.
"Hello Pinkie Pie. How are you?" FlutterShy said smiling at her pink friend.
Pinkie Pie looked at FlutterShy and turned away slowly. FlutterShy noticed something was different in her attitude and felt concerned. She reached out to her friend and she smacked her hoof away. FlutterShy was shocked.
"What's wrong Pinkie Pie? I-I thought we were friends?" FlutterShy started to tear up.
" Why would you lie to me, FlutterShy?" Pinkie Pie said not facing her. "Why?" she said again.
FlutterShy began to cry. Tears poured down her face like a stream.
"Pinkie Pie, I......"
" You what!?!" Pinkie Pie said interrupting and turning to her friend with tears falling to the floor from her big blue eyes. "You just lie to your friend!?! I thought we tell eachother everything!?! What happened to that!?!" Pinkie Pie said now with her nose running.
" Pinkie I....." FlutterShy said.
"Just go! Leave me alone" Pinkie says turning away, sobbing.
FlutterShy runs out of the shop crying. All of the ponies are staring at her as she runs to her cottage. When she gets inside she falls to the floor crying. All the little creatures gather around her and comfort her the entire time. She didn't eat or sleep the entire day and didn't move. She couldn't. She was hurt.
The next day Rainbow Dash knocked on the door but FlutterShy wasn't home. She read a not on the door that says:
Dear Rainbow Dash, I'm leaving PonyVille forever. I don't feel like I can trust anypony anymore. I know you told Pinkie Pie. She hates me now. I'm sorry. I will miss you ponies and the little creatures. Good bye. Love, FlutterShy P.S. Visit me sometime. Here's my address: 21777 Sky Lane 1011 CanterLot, Equestria
Rainbow Dash read the letter over and over and tears up. She soon begins to cry.
"What have I done!?! I drove my best friend away from PonyVille! I gotta tell the girls!" Rainbow Dash says flying as fast as she can to Twilight's house where they're having a book club with all the girls.
Rainbow Dash bursts through the door and screams, "GUYS! FLUTTERSHY MOVED TO CANTERLOT FOREVER!"
"What!?!" They all say at the same time.
"How do ya know, SugarCube?" Applejack says incertain.
"This note Flutter left on the door!" Rainbow Dash said handing Applejack the letter.
Applejack read it over and handed it to Twilight who read it out loud.
" That poor darling." Rarity said when Twilight Sparkle was done.
Pinkie Pie sighed and spoke up.
" I think me and Rainbow Dash should go and talk to her. We are the reasons she left and we should fix it" Pinkie Pie said looking at Rainbow Dash who was nodding. "I agree" Rainbow Dash said sadly.
"Okay girls. You can go. Come back and tell us what happens." Twilight Sparkle said quietly.
Rainbow Dash flew out with Pinkie follows close behind. Rainbow Dash stopped and told Pinkie to stop.
"Hop on my back Pinkie. And hang on tight" Rainbow Dash said landing.
Pinkie Pie jumped on her back and Rainbow Dash lifted off. They were going so fast there cheeks were blowing through the wind. Rainbow Dash flew fast and fast and didn't stop. Her eyes were watering and her heart was pounding. She felt her blood pressure rise and then she created.............a Sonic Rainboom.
All the colors of the Rainbow spreaded across the blue clear sky and a loud boom broke the windows of every house, even the palace. Pinkie Pie was so shocked she couldn't help but say "THAT WAS TOTTALLY WICKED!!!!!! WOO HOOO!!!!!!!!!!!" She yelled until they stopped in front of FlutterShy's new house. They both gulped and knocked on the door.
The ponies held their breath as the door creeked open. FlutterShy was at the door.
"R-Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie?" she said looking at her friends. "What are you guys doing here?" she said giving them hugs.
"We came to say...we're sorry. We can't live without you FlutterShy!" said Rainbow Dash. "We really are sorry!" said Pinkie Pie. "Please come back to PonyVille, FlutterShy." the ponies said at the same time with tears running down their blue and pink cheeks.
FlutterShy teared up. She hugged her friends.
"I need your help" FlutterShy said.
"With what?" they said confused.
"I need you to help me move these boxes back to PonyVille" FlutterShy said smiling with tears in her eyes.
Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, and FlutterShy all hugged together and moved the boxes into a moving cart. They all trotted to PonyVille together happily. They walked to Twilight's house first.
When the 3 walked in all the ponies hugged FlutterShy.
"We all missed ya FlutterShy!"said Applejack.
"Darling don't scare all of us like that again" said Rarity tearing up.
"Yeah Flutters!" said Rainbow Dash giving FlutterShy a noogie.
" I'm sorry FlutterShy. I don't hate you" said Pinkie Pie giving her a hug. Using her Pinkie sense she then was pushing her out of the way right before a book dropped on her head.
"Sorry" Spike said climbing down from the ladder. FlutterShy giggled.
"FlutterShy would you like to share what you learned?" Twilight said.
FlutterShy nodded. "Spike please take a note".
"On it" Spike said taking out a scroll and pen.
FlutterShy cleared her throat. "Dear Princess Celestia, today I learned something important. It's not okay to keep secrets. You should always tell them because they're your friends and they will always understand. Also I learned that running away from your problems isn't the best solution. You should stand up and fix the problem before it becomes bigger. Love, FlutterShy".
Spike rolled up the scroll and sent it to the Princess.
The next day, Rainbow Dash walked to FlutterShy's house nervously. She knocked on the door and waited. Her heart was pounding as she began to sweat as she waited. She waited and waited for what seemed like hours but only minutes.
"Hi, Rainbow Dash" FlutterShy said walking toward her friend with a big, light brown sun hat with a pink flower on it and sunglasses with white surrounding the dark, round circles protecting her teal colored eyes.
"GAAAA!" Rainbow Dash yelled as she stumbled backward in suprise. Rainbow Dash balanced herself and took a deep breath.
FlutterShy stared at her friend. "Are you alright?" she said concered. "You look a little.....uneasy" she said.
"Y-Yeah I'm fine. I gotta ask you something Flutters" The blue pegasus said rubbing the back of her neck with her hoof.
"Sure. What is it? Exuse me" FlutterShy said moving around Rainbow Dash and unlocking the door to her cottage and letting her old friend in.
Rainbow Dash walked in as the shy little pegasus held the door open and quietly closed it behind her. FlutterShy took off her hat and hung it up on the coat rack and slipped off her designer sunglasses onto the kitchen counter.
"So, what do you need to ask me?" the yellow coated pegasus said turning to Rainbow Dash.
Rainbow Dash was shaking and sweating slightly but spoke up.
"Well, since you..you know.. came back to PonyVille, I-I was wondering if..if....You would like to go to the zoo with me today?" Rainbow Dash said.
FlutterShy looked at the blue pegasus who was trembling and nodded.
" I would love too. Let me get my bag" FlutterShy said leaving the room to get her sattle bag.
Rainbow Dash sighed in releif and stopped shaking and was completely normal when FlutterShy came back.
"Let's go! The zoo awaits!" Rainbow Dash said proudly and flew out the door. FlutterShy laughed and followed after.
FlutterShy thought to herself why her fearless friend was trembling earlier and why she was uneasy. A lot of thoughts ran through her head, good and bad, she just shook her head to snap out of it and carried on walking with Dash.
When they arrived at the zoo all FlutterShy could say was, "Ooo", "Aaaa", "Wow", in amazment. Rainbow Dash couldn't help but laugh as FlutterShy ran around the zoo saying that to all the animals.
"So where do you want to go?" Rainbow Dash said holding out a map of the zoo. FlutterShy scaned it over and knew exactly where she wanted to go.....The butterfly room.
"Okay let's go" Rainbow Dash said. FlutterShy grabbed her hoof and ran to the butterfly room as fast as she can, dragging Rainbow Dash along with her. Rainbow Dash laughed and flew ahead dragging FlutterShy instead and they arrived at the butterfly room.
FlutterShy gasped in amazment of the room. There was grass on the floor with many flowers popping out from it. There was vines with leafs hanging from the ceiling and small trees in the middle. Vines crawled up the blue walls and touched the ceiling. The ceiling had a hole in the middle where a ray of sunlight peaked through hitting FlutterShy making her glow. FlutterShy turned to Rainbow Dash and smiled. The light was perfectly aimed on FlutterShy. Her eyes were bright when the light reflected off them and her was shining beautifully. Rainbow Dash was stunned at the beauty of her friend.
Rainbow Dash moved closer to FlutterShy. Closer and closer the blue mare got to her friend. Closer she got until they touched noses. Rainbow Dash smiled and kissed FlutterShy. Rainbow Dash turned away quickly blushing so much her face was pure red. FlutterShy stood there, suprised and didn't blink at all even when a butterfly landed on her nose. FlutterShy shook are head to snap out of it and moved toward Rainbow Dash. She put her hoof on her life long friend's shoulder and Rainbow Dash turned to the yellow mare.
FlutterShy leaned in and kissed Rainbow Dash. They stood there for what seemed like hours kissing lovingly. FlutterShy stopped and smiled lost in the pegasus's rose colored eyes. Rainbow Dash was lost in the shy mare's teal eyes and smiled as well. They stood like that for minutes.
"O-Oh, yeah. We are at the zoo." FlutterShy blushed and ran ahead toward the elephant ear stand. Rainbow Dash laughed and ran after her.
"What are we doing now?" Rainbow Dash said catching up with FlutterShy.
" Getting elephants ears to eat."
Rainbow Dash looked at her sickly.
"Ponies actually eat those?" she said.
FlutterShy laughed and explained. Rainbow Dash grew excited and her mouth began to water. She was egar to eat some and nearly screamed when the worker took forever to give them back change. Once they got them Rainbow Dash flew to a table and pulled out a chair for FlutterShy and quickly sat down. FlutterShy sat down and Rainbow Dash imediately grabbed a elephant ear. She bit down on it and fell in love with it. Eating it quickly leaving it all over her face. FlutterShy laughed and continued eating hers slowly.
After they were both done they went to the shark tanks. They walked into a tunnel where the sharks were. The tunnel was like a tube. The tank looped around 360 degrees and under their hooves. FlutterShy was imediately frightened by the sharks and screamed a little then quickly hid behind Rainbow Dash. Rainbow Dash chuckled and walked over to the glass.
"It's glass. See?" Rainbow Dash said tapping the glass. FlutterShy was relieved and trusted her friend but still hid behind her. After they were done they went to the icecream stand by the penguins. FlutterShy loved the penguins so much she tried to reach out and touch them but she couldn't. After they were done at the zoo and FlutterShy was happy they walked out into a field in front of the zoo and sat down. They laughed together and took turns sucking the air out of FlutterShy's balloon to make their voices high pitched. When the balloon had no air left in it, they stood up and started toward FlutterShy's cottage.
Rainbow Dash stopped FlutterShy halfway toward her house.
" Come on. I wanna show you something." she said flying into the sky and FlutterShy smiled and followed after.
