Rainbows feelings
A cyan pegasus was sitting in a clearing in the outskirts of Sweet Apple Acres staring at the beautiful night. She had found that place long time ago with her friend Applejack, and she went there when she needed to think or just needed to be alone.
"Oh, I wish I could be with you but... I'm terrified by the idea that you might reject me and wish not to be my friend anymore… Why is it so hard? Why do I feel this way? Why me?" the pegasus sighed "What am I going to do…" she said as tears streamed down her cheeks.
"Howdy Rainbow Dash, ho…wha? Are y'all ok?" Said Applejack, Rainbow Dash didn't know how she did that, but every time she went to that clearing because something troubled her, Applejack somehow sensed it, and went to talk to her. And Almost always that made her solve her problem quicker, but not this time, not this problem…
"Me? Yeah, I'm great"
"Y'all have been cryin', don't try to fool me Rainbow"
"I said I'm fine!" Said Rainbow Dash harshly.
"Ah know y'all not fine. Remember Dash, Ah'm yer friend, y'all know y'all can tell me anything."
"Applejack, please, can you just leave me alone? I don't want to talk about it right now. Besides, you can't help me with this one."
"Alright, if y'all say y'all can handle it on your own, Ah won't bother y'all, but remember, if y'all need a shoulder to cry on, or jes somepony to hear, y'all know the way to Sweet Apple Acres." Said Applejack sympathetically, she knew her friend was not ok and that made her feel bad, but she knew better that to meddle in her friends lives without permission. She trotted off back to her home, leaving Rainbow Dash alone. The brash pegasus sighed
"I need some sleep, maybe that will help" After saying that, the rainbow-maned pony took off and flew towards her home to get some rest. When she made it there, the brash pegasus opened the door to her cloud home, she went up the stairs and headed directly to her room. Her room was small, but cosy, and since she wasn't one of those pony with a lot of clothes, she didn't need a closet, neither she needed a mirror, since she didn't groomed her hair or anything like that. She entered the bed and slept deeply.
"Ugh… what time is it?" Groaned Rainbow Dash when she opened her eyes. She got up and opened her curtains. "OH MOTHER OF CELESTIA IT BURNS!!!" She screamed and closed her eyelids, she had opened the curtains too fast and her eyes didn't had time to adjust to the light, leaving her blind for some seconds and with a burning pain. After she had recovered she went down and entered the kitchen, she prepared and ate some breakfast. With her wake-up routine finished, she walked to the door and left her home to take care of her weather duties.
Today was sky-clearing day, perfect to vent all of her anger. She flew cloud to cloud kicking them making them evaporate into thin air. In ten seconds the sky was completely cleared, not to her surprise, it was the same time it took her since she started working in the weather patrol.
Rainbow Dash noticed the mare of her dream's walking around looking more beautiful than ever "Maybe one day I'll do something about it. Maybe someday I'll tell her" thought Rainbow Dash
"Um... Hello, I was wondering, you have seen Rainbow Dash today?" Said Fluttershy to Daisy.
"No, sorry"
"Oh, o-okay thanks anyways"
"Hello, I'm sorry, but, have you seen Rainbow Dash?"
"Sorry Fluttershy, I have no idea" Said Lyra.
A pink pony was bouncing around in front of Fluttershy, she stopped for a second just to say
"Hi Fluttershy are you looking for somepony?" Said happily Pinkie Pie.
"Um... Y-yes, I was looking for Rainbow Dash, have you seen her today?"
"Why didn't you look up silly? She's right there, as usual!" said the pink pony as she pointed with her hoof at the blue pegasus flying in the air.
"Oh... Right" Fluttershy giggled "Thanks Pinkie Pie"
"No problem, auntie Pinkie is always here to help you! See you later!" Said bouncing away towards the town's centre.
"I'm still a year older than you Pinkie…" Said Fluttershy a little bit annoyed, then she flew up to Rainbow Dash.
"H-hi Dashie, are you busy right now?" Said Fluttershy
There was no response from Rainbow Dash she just stared at her friend.
"Um... hello?" Fluttershy poked Rainbow Dash with her hoof.
"Oh, uh… hello what's up?"
"Not much really... I was just wondering if we could… Um… hang out?"
"Yeah sure what do you want to do?"
"Um we could go flying for a while"
"Yeah, that's great. Follow me, I know a good place around here"
Rainbow Dash flew to a clearing that was in the other side of town, it was perfect for flying and there was no propriety they could break. When they got there he two flew off in a random direction, sometimes they would have a little race. Obviously Rainbow Dash could have won every time, but she let Fluttershy win once just to make her happy.
"Um, thank you for flying with me, but I must be getting home now, it's starting to get dark"
"Yeah, you're right. Ok. I'll see you later"
Fluttershy flew off towards her cottage leaving Rainbow Dash behind. She was going to go back to her cloud palace but she started feeling lonely again.
"Horsefeathers, not again… You know what? I should just get it out already, who knows, she might love me back" thought Rainbow Dash. She turned around and went full speed towards the cottage.
Fluttershy was in her bedroom, she laid on her bed and was about to sleep when she heard somepony knocking on her door.
"Who could it be this late?" she wondered while walking down the stairs, and heading to the door. When she opened she found her cyan friend in front of her.
"Rainbow Dash? Um... what are you doing here?"
"I need to talk to you, now. I need to tell you something very important"
"Oh. Um o-okay, please come on in" Said Fluttershy as she stepped aside, allowing her friend to enter.
"Fluttershy I… I…"
"What's wrong Dashie?"
"I-I… I l-l…"
"Um, I'm sorry but I can't understand what you're saying"
"I love you!" blurted Rainbow closing her eyes and waiting for the worst. Fluttershy froze "D-did I heard what I thought I've heard? Rainbow Dash loves me?" she thought
"Y-you... Um l-love me?" said Fluttershy still unsure of what she had just heard,
"Yes more than anything in Equestria"
Tears started flowing down Fluttershy's cheeks.
"Why are you crying? Y-you… you don't love me back… Right?" said Rainbow Dash crestfallen.
"N-no! On the contrary! T-these are tears of joy" said Fluttershy smiling and crying.
"Oh... does that means?"
Fluttershy darted forward pressing her lips against Rainbow Dash's. The speedster pegasus was shocked at first but then eagerly returned the kiss and threw her hooves around her beloved. They spent several minutes in that blissful state, but after a while they both pulled back blushing.
"I guess that answers your question" said Fluttershy giggling softly. A great smile formed on both of their face's and then Rainbow Dash said.
"Uh… could… could I sleep in your bed with you tonight?" Asked blushing furiously the rose-eyed mare "I don't want to go back to my house this late…"
"Of course you can Dashie, I would love to share my bed with you"
They then walked upstairs towards Fluttershy's room. Fluttershy got in bed first, she turned around and waited for her new marefriend to join her and held her in a loving embrace. Soon both of them closed their eyelids to enter the dream world.
