Have you ever had a perfect day? Well if the doctor appears then that can change for the better or worst!
A perfect day in Equestria. Applejack and Rainbow Dash are racing. Rarity is making a new dress line. Twilight Sparkle and Fluttershy are busy making new magical foods for Fluttershy's pets and all of the friends are planning to end the day with a nice picnic in Sweet Apple Acres. All of which may change when the hear that unmistakable sound of the legendary Tardis which lands right in the middle of Sweet Apple Acres. What will follow the Doctor is unknown but what is known is that Equestria will face a foe like no other.
“You won’t be able to catch up to me Applejack, I’m the fastest in Ponyville!” Rainbow Dash calls out to her apple bucking friend
“ Don’t you count me out yet” Applejack responded as she tries to catch up to the flying cyan Pegasus.
The two friends were constantly trying to best each other in the attempt to prove whether the hard working, apple bucking, rancher Applejack or the cyan, weather changing Rainbow Dash was the best athlete in ponyville . Competitions like this one had become a daily activity for the two and the towns folk would commonly see the two racing each other or competing in some other show of strength.
Meanwhile Pinkie Pie is enjoying her favorite activity in the Sugarcube corner bakery, baking and eating her favorite vanilla cupcakes with pink frosting and sprinkles on them.
“Oh pinkie, could you please come and work the counter for a bit?” Mrs. Cake asks.
“Sure thing Mrs. Cake” Pinkie answers as she finishes off her final frosting covered treat
Pinkie, cheerful as always bounces her way from the kitchen to the counter at the front of the store, observing all the colorful ponies lined up ready to purchase their delicious baked goods.
“Okay every pony come and get it!” Pinkie yells holding up the freshly baked pastries
In Fluttershy’s Cottage the magical prodigy Twilight Sparkle and the animal caring Fluttershy are trying to find a spell that will allow Twilight to conjure up delicious tasting food for Fluttershy’s animals.
“ Here you go Angel try this” Fluttershy says in her calm and quiet voice to her pet bunny giving her Twilight’s new attempt at making food. The fluffy, white bunny quickly stuffs the food into its mouth, chews it, and then quickly spits it right back out with obvious hate for the new magical product.
“Oh dear!” Fluttershy says cleaning up the chewed mass “Umm… I don’t think Angel liked it Twilight” she says in an almost apologetic tone as if it was her own fault.
“Alright then” Twilight responds in her usual determined voice. “Let’s try something a bit different.” She says while flipping through a spell book trying to find a better spell. “Ah ha, here we go, I think this is the spell I’ve been looking for!”
Twilight’s horn begins to glow purple. A beam fires from her horn and hits the floor of the cottage. The beam disappears and Twilight’s horn fades. In the area the beam hit lays a brown pellet with green spots. Angel immediately hops over to the pellet and shoves it in its mouth. It chews, and for once doesn’t spit it out; in fact it continues chewing and swallows with a smile.
In the Carousel Boutique Rarity is working hard on a brand new dress to wear to a party in which only the best designers are invited to. The dress is the same shade of white as Rarity’s cat Opalescence. This dress also includes multi colored gems around the neck and legs. As she was sewing she remembered that she had plans to meet the others for a picnic at 2 pm in Sweet Apple Acres. She looked at the clock seeing that it was 1:50 and quickly runs out the door. Rarity runs across Ponyville and eventually makes it to the beautiful Sweet Apple Acres. Looking around in the green grassy fields the white unicorn spots her friends however notices that Applejack is missing from the group. She walks towards the group.
“Hey there Rarity!” Pinkie Pie greets cheerfully.
“Hello everyone, I must ask where is Applejack?” Rarity questions.
“We don’t know” Twilight answers “She was here and said that she had a special surprise for us and then left, we haven’t seen her since then.”
After about ten or so minutes of waiting the group finally sees Applejack and Big Macintosh moving a cart filled with to the brim with what appears to be pastries.
“Well ya’ll here it is, ma special treat to every pony” Applejack announces. “Now right here we got everything, apple fritters, apple pie, candy apples, red apples, green apples, and golden apples, anything that has apples in it I got it!”
“Even the super apple pie cakes with granny smith’s special apple ice cream treat tart deluxe?” Pinkie questions
“I had those made just for you Pinkie” Applejack says.
Everyone immediately dives into the treasure trove of treats. Rainbow dash hovers above grabbing at whatever looks good. Pinkie dives in head first eating anything at all. Rarity carefully selects the treats that are the best made and prepared. While Twilight magically lifts a handful of pastries to her mouth. Applejack, noticing that Fluttershy is unsure of what to eat helps her decide and points out all the best foods. Everyone is enjoying their food when out of nowhere they hear the strangest, most alien noise they ever had ever heard before. “Woo… woo… woo…”
“What in the hay was that?” Applejack asks.
“Why I’ve never heard that sound in my entire life!” Rarity mentions, looking around trying to see where the alien noise came from.
“Well then let’s go, we can’t just sit around I’m going to fly up and look around” Rainbow Dash says as she begins to fly up towards the sky.
The rest decide to split up and look around, all except for Fluttershy who tags along with Applejack. As the six are exploring Ponyville Rainbow Dash is circling around Sweet Apple Acres and spots a strange blue rectangular box and flies down towards it. Upon closer inspection she can make out some details. All around the top trim of the mysterious box she sees the words: Police Public Call Box. The windows are light up but she can’t see inside of them. The box is burned in some parts and the wood is chipping. The handles are rusted as if it’s been sitting there for years. She attempts to open the box however it’s locked. After looking around for anything else Rainbow Dash decides to go and collect the rest of the group. After leading the others to the box everyone is shocked to see it. It’s such as strange site to just see a big blue box sitting in the middle of Sweet Apple Acres.
“Um… hello” Twilight says as she taps carefully on the door. “Uh… is anyone in there?” “He…hello?” Then, something happens, the door slowly creaks open revealing something that even Twilight with her extensive knowledge of different creatures has never even read about.
The door creaks open revealing a man wearing a blue suit with a white undershirt and a maroon tie which is somewhat loose.
“You, purple one, where am I, please tell me, quickly!” The strange creature asks. “Now you hold on just a second” Rainbow dash retorts. “You think that you can just crash a big blue box smack down in the middle of Sweet Apple Acres and then just demand that we tell you where you are, are you kidding me!?” “Now hold on Rainbow Dash, he’s obviously scared” Twilight says trying to calm Rainbow Dash down. “I apologize sir, it’s just that well, you did kinda crash right in the middle of the the farm and we can help you but you just need to tell us who you are and how you got here, that’s all” The man begins to look around at where he is and begins to calm down. “I apologize for yelling, my name is the doctor and this is the tardis” The group now begins to fill the man with their questions. “What’s a tardis?” Pinkie Pie asks. “um… so… what kind of doctor are you then?” Flutter Shy questions. “What does that tardis thing even do?” Rainbow Dash wonders. “I’ve never heard or read about you, are you some sort of undiscovered animal?” Inquires Twilight Sparkle “That big blue box of yours looks rather destroyed, what has happened to it?” Rarity asks. All of the ponies have a question but Applejack, instead of asking a question begins to scold the doctor. “Well you listen here doctor, do you realize what you’ve gone and done here, you crashed into ma family’s apple orchard!” She then continues “Now I wouldn’t mind having you over at my home and talking about this over a nice cup of hot apple cider but only after you promise to help me replant all these here trees. ” she says while she points to the blackened trees behind the tardis. “Ok, I’ll help replant the trees just tell me where I am.” The doctor responds. “Well ok than, Doctor, since you seem to be new here, I would like to welcome you to Ponyville, Equestrian!” Twilight greets. “Um… Equestrian you say?” The Doctor asks “Right then, just one moment.” The Doctor then rushes back in to his tardis. He then types in the word equestrian trying to find some mention of the name in the tardis’s memory banks. “Well this can’t be possible, how can the tardis have absolutely no mention of this place, not in books or stories or movies or planets or even other galaxies there’s just nothing!” The Doctor says to himself. He then rushes out of the tardis. “So you say that you live in a place called Equestrian, now are you sure about that?” Of course were sure, I mean, we know where we live!” Rainbow Dash answers. “Wait a minute Doctor, I heard you sayin in that there box of yours that there aint no record of Equestrian, now maybe im just goin crazy but does that mean you aint from Equestrian?” Applejack questions Pinkie pie gasps “Or even from outer space?” The Doctor just stares at Applejack and Pinkie Pie for a moment, unsure of what to say to them. Does he admit that he's an alien or make up some fake story. He then takes a breath “Yes, that’s all true, I’m an alien, I’m a Time Lord from the planet Gallifrey.” “Oh my, well that’s just so interesting!” Fluttershy remarks. “What kind of animals do you have on your planet?” “I don’t mean to be rude Fluttershy but I think we should really get to Applejacks house and let the Doctor get some rest” Twilight Sparkle suggests. “Yes I agree, you seem to have seen some trouble lately what with those bruises and cuts, your clothing has some rips in it as well” Rarity notices. “Well let’s get on it then ya’ll, it gonna get dark soon” Applejack says as she looks over at the beautiful orange sunset. On the way to the house Applejack notices that Twilight is acting rather strange, as if she’s just seen some sort of ghost. “Twilight, you look nervous, what’s wrong?” Applejack asks. “Its nothing Applejack it’s just that, well, how are we going to deal with this?” She responds. “Deal with what?” Applejack questions. “It doesn’t seem like this Doctor guy wants to cause us any harm, sure he crashed into the farm but at least he’s willing to help re-plant all of them trees.” “But what is Celestia going to say when she finds out that an alien crashed into the middle of Sweet Apple Acres” Twilight says worryingly. Knowing that she is going to have to tell Princess Celestia what has happened. After all she’s going to find out at some point anyway. “Applejack Applejack Applejack look!” Pinkie Pie yells. “Look were here were here, are you gonna make that sweet apple cider for all of us, oh we can drink it all night with our new friend and share stories and ask questions and learn about each other, oh it sounds like so much fun!” she says as she bounces all around and points back to the house. “Now just calm down Pinkie Pie, I’m gonna make everyone some of ma special apple cider and then we can ask the Doctor any questions we got.” Applejack says trying to calm pinkie down. As everyone gets in the house Applejack walks into the kitchen to prepare the apple cider. While she is doing this she begins to think. Why was Twilight acting so strange, as if she had known this person would come but somehow still didn’t expect it. Applejack brings out the cider and everyone grabs a cup. Finally the group can ask the Doctor questions. The Doctor eventually explains his story. He explains that he was in the Tardis when it detected a strange signal that seemed to be coming from another ship. Upon entering the coordinates the Tardis began sparking and crashed into the orchard and that’s when they found him. “I’m just worried that someone else found that signal and is coming, listen I have to warn you, I have many enemy’s and if they find me here they may try to harm your people as well, however that signal could also be dangerous, but it’s your decision, I don’t want to put you in danger” The Doctor warns. “I apologize everyone but I really have to go I’ll see you all tomorrow.” Twilight says. “Oh and doctor, I’ll let you now by tomorrow.” Upon entering the Golden Oak Library she quickly writes a letter to Princess Celestia. Dear Princess Celestia, another one of those boxes has appeared, however this time a man who calls himself The Doctor was inside of it, he says that his race is called a Time Lord, he’s here because he found a distress signal, I believe this signal may be from the other boxes, please respond as possible Your student Twilight Sparkle.
Twilight wakes up in her bed feeling the warm embrace of the sun fill her body. Seeing a blur at first her eyes quickly adjust to the light. Twilight’s faithful dragon servant walks into her room. “Twilight wake up, you’ve got a letter from the princess!”
Twilight groans “Thanks Spike, I’ll be down in a moment, oh and by the way, try to find a book on alien species would you?” Twilight asks.
Spike responds, confused. “Um yeah, sure.”
Twilight finally manages to climb out of bed, Stumbling down the stairs towards the large wooden desk at the back of her home of her home. Seeing the letter with a royal seal on it the unicorn quickly tears open the letter and reads it. Dear Twilight Sparkle, I would like for you to meet me in Canterlot as this situation demands immediate attention. If this creature truly is an alien then we must deal with it immediately. The royal guards will be waiting for you with a hot air balloon just outside Ponyville. Please come as soon as possible. From Princess Celestia
“Spike have you found any books on alien species yet?”
“I found three.” Spike walks down from his ladder and places the books on Twilight’s desk. The first one flipped open called A guide to every and all outer space encounters! Which was a guide to every encounter of aliens. The next two are stories from ponies who say they were abducted called The pony stories from space and Every story of abductions ever. Twilight puts the books into her satchel and lifts it onto her back.
“Spike I’m going to Canterlot for a meeting with Princess Celestia!” She calls out.
“Oh Twilight can I come, it’s been so long since I’ve been to Canterlot?” Spike asks.
“No Spike, this is official business between me and the Princess only!”
“Aww man!” Spike whines.
Twilight walks out the door with a saddlebag containing the books and letter in it. Walking out the unicorn hopes to avoid her friends as she can’t let them know where she is headed. Rainbow dash swoops down towards her.
“Hi Twilight!” Rainbow dash greets in a cheerful voice. “Where are you going with that saddle bag?”
“Oh um, I was just bringing some books over to Fluttershy about animals, she wanted to know about what the best foods were to feed to certain animals.” She lies. “Oh well I can just take them for you!” The Pegasus offers.
“No, you can’t, I have to help her make the food too!” Twilight says in a frantic tone.
“Fine then suit yourself egghead!” Rainbow dash says and then speeds off towards the clouds above.
Seeing the air balloon in the distance Twilight rushes over and begins her journey to Canterlot. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In Sweet Apple Acres Applejack is searching for the Doctor In the fields. She woke up in the morning and found that the mysterious alien was gone from his room. She’s been running around the farm all morning. Rainbow Dash soars from the clouds to talk to Applejack “Rainbow, have you seen the Doctor today?”
“You mean creepy alien thing who landed in a strange blue box? No, I haven’t seen him.”
“Well, alright than, you just be sure to let me know if y’all see ‘im.”
VWOO VWOO VWOO! The same blue box the Doctor arrived in appears in front of Applejack, making her jump back in fright. The door swings open. “Oh hello, we have met haven’t we, your name was…. Oh what was it, apple acre, or sweet jack or something?”
“Err, no, it was Applejack.” She corrects. “Now what in the hay did you just do with that there blue box?”
“Oh the Tardis?” He begins. “Why I just teleported through time and space to appear in front of you. Do your people not have this technology yet?”
“Technology? Wait, did you not jus’ use magic to make that thing there work? Applejack responds, horribly confused.
“Magic? Magic isn’t a thing; nobody can wave a wand and just make something happen!” The Doctor responds.
“Oh yeah, well than what’s that on your hip?” The earth pony asks pointing to a strange, glowing, metallic cylinder clipped to the Doctor belt.
“Well I’ll have you know that this is a sonic screw driver, a highly advanced piece of tech!” The Doctor answers while showing off the screw driver.
He points it down showing the front to the pony. “Hey now, don’t you point that thing at me!” He switches it on, scanning the pony. The screw driver assesses Applejack and reads “Species: Pony, Original planet: Unknown, Region of planet: unknown”
“So, you really are ponies…” The doctor begins “That. Is. Amazing. An entire race of ponies, absolutely incredible and not to mention your people even have magic! Something that other races couldn’t even dream of! However it seems that even with your magic you’re still not very technologically advanced.” “Now jus’ what is that supposed to mean?” Applejack retorts. “You sayin’ that we aint’ smart or somethin’?”
“No, just the opposite in fact, if your people can use magic than surely you must have extraordinary brain power! Could you show me?” the Doctor asks.
“Oh no, ya’ see I’m a Earth pony. Only unicorns can use magic jus’ like how the Pegasus is the only ones who can fly.” Applejack explains.
“Well than that must mean that the unicorns are the smartest of them all. I wonder how they’re governed.” The Doctor thinks “Erm, Doctor, Doctor y’all okay?” Applejack says clopping her hooves together in an attempt to snap him out of his thought. “Ah, yes I’m fine, um, could I see a unicorn perform some sort of magic?”
“Well, I could always bring ya’ to Twilight’s house.” Applejack continues. “Why she’s the best magic user in Ponyville!”
“No that won’t work.” The Doctor claims.
“Well why not.”
“What will other ponies think if they see an alien walking on two legs that looks nothing like them? You’re going to have to bring your friend here.” -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Twilight entered the royal palace, eager to discuss the matters at hand with the princess. She admires the fancy décor of the palace, remembering how it looked before she left and noticing that nothing has changed, from the fountains outside to the checkered floors and golden pillars of the interior. Looking up she sees the royal thrones, Princess Luna and Celestia sitting side by side, sun from the giant window behind them shining off of their coats. As the prodigy approaches the guards eye her, watching her every move. Princess Celestia sees her student and speaks “Hello my student. Did you enjoy your trip back to Canterlot?”
Twilight bows “Hello princess Celestia, Hello princess Luna. Thank you for inviting me, and yes the trip was wonderful.”
“Great, we should go to my private study to speak of the matters at hand.” Celestia suggests.
Princess Celestia leads the way to the study, Twilight in tow. Opening up the door Twilight is frozen by shock as she sees the largest collection of books she’s ever seen. She manages to snap out of her trance and levitates her books from her saddle bag and onto the table.
Twilight points to the encyclopedia of all possible alien races “I think that this book will be our best source of information so-“ Celestia cuts her off “Twilight, I don’t believe were going to need any books this time, we have seen these objects before, we simply need a plan of action. ” Twilight collects her thoughts “Well in that case than I propose that we allow the Doctor to investigate the signals, that way he can have what he wants and will leave.” She suggests.
Celestia sighs “Normally I would agree however… we believe we know where these so called signals are originating from. It is entirely possible that these signals are coming from the other strange objects that have appeared before.”
“I suppose that’s possible but what of the ones that aren’t shaped as boxes.” Twilight questions.
“They may be magically disguised as other objects.” Celestia suggests.
“Well then, what do you think we should do?” Twilight questions.
“I would like for you to allow the Doctor to conduct his research, when it is finished however, you are to demand him to leave.” Celestia instructs. “Also if you would like you could certainly stay here in Canterlot for a bit longer, I’ll have a room set up for you in the Mare Rest Hotel.” She offers.
“That would be great, thank you princess!” Twilight says, accepting the generous offer.
Walking towards the hotel Twilight takes in the décor of Canterlot, remembering the streets she had once walked down. She admires the clean, classy design of the buildings to the organized streets walkways of the market, full of ponies. Arriving at the hotel she is met by the friendly faces of business mares and stallions one of which shows her to the room she will be staying in. A plaque on the door reads “Room 403, VIP Room.”
Entering the room Twilight collapses on the bed, exhausted from the day’s events. Finding herself unable to get up she eventually falls into a deep sleep. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In Ponyville Applejack has arrived at twilight’s home in hopes of bringing her to the Doctor. Knocking on the door with her hoof she is met with no response. “Hello? Anypony home? Hello, Twi, Spike anypony?” Her questions are met by silence. ”Well maybe Fluttershy or Rainbow Dash would know” Applejack thinks to herself.
Applejack walks to Fluttershy’s Cottage intending to find out where her Unicorn friend has gone. Spotting Fluttershy in her garden Applejack confronts her. “Hey there Fluttershy, y’all wouldn’t happen ta’ know where Twilight is, would ya?”
“Why no, I haven’t seen her since last night.” Fluttershy says, almost whispering. “Maybe Rainbow dash knows.”
“Oh, well, ma thanks go to ya’ anyways.” Applejack says, clearly disappointed.
“Sorry I couldn’t help you…” Fluttershy apologizes. “It’s okay Fluttershy, I’ll be seein’ you later.” Applejack says as she tips her hat and walks away to find Rainbow Dash.
Walking through the streets of Ponyville Applejack looks up at the clouds trying to find the Pegasus. She spots her resting above. “Ey Rainbow Dash, come on down ere!” She yells up.
Rainbow Dash wakes up, shaking her head, confused as to where the voice is coming from. “Down ere Dash!”
Rainbow Dash stretches her wings, extending them fully. She floats down towards Applejack, drowsily. She yawns “Oh hey there Applejack, what’s going on?”
“Have you seen Twilight recently, I been searchin’ all day and ain’t found her!” Applejack explains.
“Well I talked to her in the morning and she said something about going to Fluttershy’s.” Rainbow dash says.
“I was just down there and Fluttershy said Twi ain’t been down there all day!”
“Well go find Spike or something; he always knows where Twilight would be.” Rainbow Dash suggests.
Applejack, following Dash’s suggestion heads back to Golden Oak Library to find spike. It had been nearly two hours since she was there so she figured that Spike or Twilight Sparkle would have returned by now.
Knocking on the door as she did earlier she awaits a response, and this time she gets one. Spike opens the door “Oh, hi there Applejack!” He greets.
“Hello Spike, Have you seen Twilight lately?” Applejack asks.
“Oh yeah she went to Canterlot for a meeting with princess Celestia!”
“Wait what? But she told Rainbow Dash she was goin’ to Fluttershy’s. Now why in the hay would she lie about that?” Applejack wonders.
“I don’t know.” Spike answers. “Maybe it was some sort of super secret meeting.” Applejack notices the area around her has gotten darker. “What in the hay is goin’ on? It ain’t night yet!” She looks up towards the sky only to find she can’t see the sun. Only a huge metallic object floating above all of Ponyville.
The Doctor stares in horror at the object in the sky. No! No not here! Not here too!" He thinks, knowing what is to come in hours coming. Running into the Tardis he heads to the radar on the dashboard. The radar gives of a slight "Beep" along with a soft green glow. The Doctor grips two knobs and zooms in on the space ship. "Beep... Beep... Beep" with each sound another dot appears on the radar signifying another life form on the ship. He zooms out to reveal the entire country of Equestria. A single dot appears on a city the Tardis recognizes as Canterlot. "Their already deploying?" He thinks to himself.
A familiar voice reaches the Doctor. "Doctor, Doctor, where are you?"
The Doctor turns off the radar and rushes out of the Tardis to confront the voice. Rainbow dash lands next to him, her hooves hitting the ground with a "Thump" "Doctor, what it that thing? Up in the sky!"
"It's a Cyberman ship..."
"Wha- what's a Cyberman?" Dash questions.
The Doctor looks up to the ship. "Their beings that used to be alive. The Cybermen transformed them into... machines. Void of life and emotion and color." Dash gives him a confused look. "In simpler terms, their killer robots..."
"We can't let them do that here!" Dash proclaim.
"Oh believe me... They wont!" ===========================================================================================================================
A group of royal guards pound on Twilight Sparkles hotel door. She opens and looks at the guard with a groggy face.
"Twilight Sparkle, Princess Celestia requests that you see her at the royal palace immediately. I have been sent here to escort you to the palace." One explains.
"Wait, wha- what are you talking about?" She says while slurring her words and rubbing her half open eyes. She begins to get worried as she knows that if a royal guard is sent somewhere, then the problem at hand is gargantuan.
"The princess requests to see you immediately!" The guard repeats, seeming slightly annoyed.
When they arrive the entire palace is in disarray. Ponies are running around the whole place, turning the normally quiet area to complete bedlam. Papers are on being dropped on the ground while guards run to their positions, trampling them.
"Princess, what's happening?" Twilight asks.
"A large object has been spotted over Ponyville. Were sending guards there as we speak." Celestia explains.
"What do you mean by... large... object?" Twilight asks.
"We don't yet know what the object is however we are sure that it is not of Equestrian origin." Celestia admits. Celestia puts her head down as if she seems ashamed of not knowing of the objects origins. "Twilight Sparkle, I request that you return to your friends in Ponyville, they will be needing you."
Twilight looks down towards the floor in dismay. "But princess, what about Canterlot?"
"Do not worry my student. The object is only over Ponyville at the moment. I have the upmost trust in you that you can stop the threat before it reaches any other part of Equestria." Celestia comforts.
"Well princess... if you insist, then I suppose your right. I'll head to Ponyville immediately." Twilight accepts.
Twilight rushes out of the royal palace. She gallops through the markets and streets, avoiding ever pony except for one. She crashes into a pony and hears a faint "Clang." She looks to see the pony she seemingly ran over hasen't moved an inch.
"Um sir, are you okay? I apologize I'm in quite the hurry!" She says being confused.
The pony stares at her with cold unblinking eyes before walking away. Twilight catches a glimpse of his cutie mark which appears to be the round head of a robot. Twilight turns around and refocuses. She comes in sight of the royal hot air balloons.
"I need to get to Ponyville immediately! I've been sent by the princess." She explains.
"Of course Ms. Twilight." A guard says as he points to a air balloon. "We have a air balloon ready for you right now."
Twilight climbs on board as she is lifted off the ground and makes her way to Ponyville. ============================================================================================================================== Applejack signals for the other four to gather near her. "Okay everypony gather 'round! We got a big problem 'ere and the six of us." Applejack remembers that Twilight was currently missing from the group. "er I mean five of us, at the moment, need to come up wit' some sorta' plan."
"The plan here is obvious. We need to go in there and kick some serious robot butt!" Rainbow Dash suggests aggressively.
"Their Cybermen." The Doctor corrects.
"Um well..." Everpony's gaze turns on Fluttershy. "I- I don't think we need to use violence. Maybe the robots will leave if we use kindness." Fluttershy protests.
The Doctor sighs. "Their still Cybermen."
Pinkie Pie jumps up into the air and frantically hops around the Apple family home. "We should throw them a great big party!"
"A party? Are you joking? Please tell me your joking." Rainbow Dash retorts.
"We can throw them a party so good that they'll be so happy, they'll have to leave!"
The Doctor intervenes. "The Cybermen have no emotions so that wont work. Really that wouldn't work even If they had emotions. Now that I think about it where did you even find the pink horse?"
The Doctor looks out the window and sees some filly's playing in the yard. He sighs "listen, the truth is, their here for me not your people. Before I got here I was attacked by Cybermen. That's what caused me to crash here."
"Oh dear you poor thing!" Rarity says. "You must have been absolutely filled with terror! Oh and were ponies, not horses dear."
"I may have also destroyed one, or two, of their ships before I crashed." The Doctor admits.
The five ponies back up in fear and shock. Applejack speaks up "Are- are you sayin' you killed them?"
"It's not like that." He explains. "Trust me they were devoid of any life far before I had gotten there. The Cyberman suck out any emotion and life from a brain and put it into a metal tin. They've been dead since then with their only purpose is to be servants."
The doctor's words leave the five at a loss. Half from fear and half from them trying to comprehend the situation at hand. The ponies remain silent. Fearful of what the Doctor was capable of.
Rainbow Dash manages to snap out of it. "Well listen, the Doctor probably only did it to protect himself. What would you have done?"
"Oh, well, I suppose you would be correct about that. We can't judge this man, we've all done things we regret now haven't we?" Rarity sympathizes.
"Is that true? Do you regret it?" Fluttershy asks.
"Err... well I suppose." The Doctor replies.
"Do ya piiiiinkie promise?" Pinkie Pie yells.
"Umm, yes? I suppose."
Applejack takes a deep breath. "Well okay then, but Doctor you need to promise one thing. Y'all won't kill or harm anythin' while ya here."
"I won't" The Doctor promises. "So with that all settled, would you mind if I could check out that signal? You could come with me."
"Umm sorry but has everyone forgotten about the gigantic metal space ship?" Rainbow Dash points out.
"No but the Cybermen couldn't have found me here unless they picked up the same signal that I did. My Tardis is designed to not give off any signals." The Doctor explains.
"Well than what are we waiting for? Lets go!" Rainbow Dash proclaims. "Umm where is it anyway?"
"According to the Tardis sensors the signal is coming from a cave in someplace called." The Doctor squints to see the words on his sonic screwdriver. "Canterlot?"
"Ahh bloody hell!" The Doctor screams. "We've got no power left! The batteries are completely drained and we need to move! There's no way that you have anything powerful enough on this planet."
"Well whadaya need?" Applejack asks."With the six of us y'all betta' bet we c'n find 'em." She says with upmost confidence in her friends abilities, remembering all the other times they had done the impossible.
"These things may not even be on this planet. No well need another power source." The Doctor scratches his head with his sonic screwdriver. "We"ll need.... we'll need.... horse power."
"Horse power, is that some sort of joke or something? And for the record, we're ponies." Rainbow Dash retorts.
"No that's a complement. You all said that the Unicorns among you can use some sort of Magic. So we just harness the magic! The Tardis can take any energy and transmute it into power! The answer is so simple and it's been staring us in the face!" The Doctor exclaims.
Everone turns to Rarity. "What me? I'm a Unicorn however I doubt I could do it alone. We need Twilight. She's the magical prodigy after all." Rarity says as she doubts herself.
"Well you may not like it Rarity but... we do have Sweetie Bell." Fluttershy whispers.
"Oh but she's just a filly, and it's far to dangerous. Plus she can't even use magic very well!" Rarity complains.
A soft voice comes from behind the group. "What do you mean I can't use magic very well?" The ponies turn around and see Rarity's sister, Sweetie Bell standing with her friends, Apple Bloom, and Scootaloo. "The Cutie Mark Crusaders can do anything!"
The Doctor walks out from the Tardis controls. "What is that thing!?" The three fillys all jump back in unisen.
The ponies all look in confusion at the fillys before realizing that the three have never seen the Doctor before. Rarity speaks up to explain. "Oh! Now don't worry darlings, this is the Doctor. He wont hurt you, he's here to help with the object in the sky. Don't be scared of him."
The Cutie Mark Crusaders step towards the rest of the group. "Bu- bu- but wha' is it?" Applebloom asks full of fear.
"Well Applebloom, ah don' know how ta say this so, im'a just be blunt. The Doctor is 'n alien." Applejack explains. The filly's take another step back with a gasp. "Bu' don' you worry! The Doctor's 'ere to help us. Jus' cause he's an alien don' mean he's gonna' hurt ya."
The Doctor walks towards the filly's and kneels down next to Sweetie Bell. She remains frozen in place "Now, Sweetie Bell, that's your name correct?" She nods. "Wonderful. I'm the Doctor, and may I say it is a pleasure to meet you!"
"The- the- thank you." Sweetie Bell squeaks.
"Now your sister Rarity here" The Doctor points to Rarity. "She seems to think that you, Sweetie Bell, cannot use magic very well. However we all need you very, very much. So, are you going to prove her wrong."
"I could try." Sweetie Bell manages to whisper.
"Well then thank you, very, very much!" The Doctor yells. "Now then everyone, onto the Tardis!"
The ponies enter the Tardis and gaze at the inside in amazement as they inspect every little button and switch on the control panel. Pinkie Pie begins to bounce up and down. "Wow this is super cool and spectacular! I could throw the best party ever in here!" She says frantically.
"This is awesome!" Rainbow Dash comments
"Yes well, this certainly is impressive however, I must question, how is it so large on the inside? You could hardly say that this has nothing to do with magic." Rarity says skeptically.
"It's all done by technology made by my race, the Time Lords. It's dimensionally transcendental." The Doctor assures.
"Dimensionally transcendental. In other words, bigger on the inside." The Doctor explains as he descends towards the power core of the Tardis. "Rarity, Sweetie Bell, I will be needing you down here." The sisters descend the sound. "Okay, I'm going to need for you two to focus every bit of magic that you can and throw every bit of it at that panel." The Doctor goes back up the stairs and begins to move knobs back and forth to chose the coordinates the Tardis will travel to. "On three I need you to put all of your energy into the core." The Doctor pushes a button and locks in the Tardis' coordinates. "One! Two! Three!"
The sister's horns begin to glow. Rarity's glows a brilliant bright blue while Sweetie Bell's glows green. Two beams of magical energy shoot out of their body's and flies towards the Tardis' power core. Suddenly the Tardis becomes alive, lights on the walls begins to illuminate the time machine while the sound of engines starting up rings throughout the ship. "Just a bit more you two! We're almost completely powered up!" The Doctor screams excitedly. The Tardis makes the same noise that signified the original arrival of the Tardis. Vwoo, Vwoo, Vwoo!
The Tardis stops with violent shaking.
"Di- did I do it?" Sweetie Bell collapses.
"Sweetie Bell! Darling!" Rarity yells. "Sweetie Bell? Sweetie Bell? Sweetie Bell get up! Get up please!" She begs.
The Doctor sprints down to the sisters with his sonic screwdriver in hand. "Let me see her!" The Doctor kneels down next to Sweetie Bell. The other Cutie Crusaders watch in horror.
"You've done quite enough Doctor, this is your fault!" Rarity berates, tears forming in her eyes.
The Doctor scans Sweetie Bell with the sonic screwdriver. "Now just calm down! She's still alive she's breathing! We have to get her to the medi-bay right now!"
"Rainbow! Yer the fastest 'ere get 'er to the medi-bay!" Applejack orders.
Rainbow Dash wraps Sweetie Bell up in her hooves. "Alright then, Rainbow Dash to the rescue! Doctor, where's the medi-bay?"
The Doctor points to the door leading deeper into the Tardis. "Down that door and to right! There's a large red cross over it! Go! Now!"
"You got it!" Rainbow Dash spreads her wings and speeds through the door. She crashes into the wall and drops to the floor. She gets up and stumbles into the door. "Ugh! Nice one Rainbow 'Crash'!" She thinks to herself. "Okay then Sweetie Bell... just gonna put you on this table. Soooo.... Wheres the Doctor?"
"Left! Left!" The Doctor yells as the ponies and him run down the Tardis halls. "It's just here!" They all trip over eachother and land in the medi-bay.
"Oh Sweetie Bell! Is she going to be okay?" Raritiy says. She paces back and forth, occasionally giving a sharp glance back at the Doctor.
The Doctor stands over Sweetie Bell's limp body. He scans her with the screwdriver and uses a variety of medicines and syringes on her. Rarity winces every time a needle goes into her sister. "Do- don't worry." The Doctor stutters. "She'll be fine, I promise!" Tears begin to form in the Doctor's eyes. "Come on! Come on! Just live!"
Sweetie Bell's eyes begin to open. "Di- did I do it?"
"Yes Sweetie Bell yes you did!" The Doctor assures. "Now just stay awake! Please just stay awake!" The Doctor injects the filly with one more syringe.
Sweetie Bell passes out once more. Everypony just stares at her, completly silent. "Well... is she okay?" Applebloom trots to her friend's body followed by Scootaloo doing the same. "Well... is she?" ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Wait! Stop the balloon! Land down there!" Twilight orders. She gazes at the blue object on the ground and knows whats inside.
"Why though Ms. Twilight?" A guard questions.
Twilight looks at the guard. "It doesn't matter why. Just land." She retorts.
The balloon hits the ground with a thud. "Yes Ms. Twilight. Will you be needing a pickup?"
"No, I don't think I will." Twilight assures as she exits the balloon. The balloon takes off as she approaches the Tardis and notices the burn marks on the ground, signaling the fact that the Tardis had arrived recently. She reaches her hoof out to the door and knocks. "Doctor? Hello? Is anypony in there?" No response. She knocks again. "Hello?" No response. The unicorn leans on the door. Just as she begins to relax the door swings open forcing Twilight to hit the floor.
Rarity stands above Twilight. "Oh thank the goddess! Twilight dear we need you immediately!" Rarity pleads as she pulls Twilight from the floor.
"What is it? What's the rush?" Twilight investigates.
"It's Sweetie Bell!"
Twilight's eyes widen. She follows Rarity down the halls of the advanced time machine. The door with a red cross marks their destination like the "X" on a treasure map. "What happened here?" Twilight yells in disbelieve.
Rarity walks to her sister's body. "Sweetie Bell and I had to charge up the Tardis to allow us to travel. Unfortunately it was to much for her to handle and she blacked out. We simply can't figure out what happened to her." Rarity says as her lip begins to tremble. Fluttershy comes to comfort her.
"It's magical overuse. It's when a unicorn uses far more energy than they have available. We need to use somepony else's magic to give her enough energy to function. If we don't than she could be in this coma state for days or even weeks." Twilight explains, using her knowledge gained from her years of studying everything and anything magic. "It's a good thing that she's just a filly or else we wouldn't be able to recharge her."
The Doctor interrupts. "We'll that's just wonderful. Now if I could ask. We need to get to the signal I've been searching for. Do you know how to get there?" The Doctor asks.
Twilight looks up and faces the Doctor. "Oh. Right. About that, we need magic to actually get into the cave. If I use it to heal Sweetie Bell... we might not be able to get in." She explains. "But obviously I'll need to heal Sweetie Bell. She could-"
The Doctor steps in to interrupt "But if we can't get in than the Cybermen, who knows what could happen! We need to get to the signal. Now I am sorry, truly I am but we really need to get going that ship could attack any second."
"Now what kind of talk is that!?" Rarity yells, flustered. "Why she's just a filly! How could you even say something like that?"
Fluttershy looks from Rarity to the Doctor. "How could you say that?" She asks while yelling yet somehow still whispering. "That's just awful!"
Applejack now enters the argument. "Now how 'bout y'all jus' calm down? Now both o' y'all got good points 'ere but we gotta make a decision quick. Now I don' like it any more than the rest'a y'al do buh I think we should get to that signal. We can come back to get Sweetie-"
Rarity turns back from the corner she was crying in. "Don't. Even. Finish that. Sentence." She snaps. "Now we will not, be leaving my sister here! Do you all here me? We will not leave her. How could you even think of that Applejack? And I had us thought out as friends!" She retorts.
"We are friends Rarity. Buh we gotta be thinkin' about the good of everypony. I'm jus' sayin' my mind." Applejack says apologetically. "Now ah love Sweetie Bell buh what 'bout everpony else, huh?"
Rainbow Dash spreads her cyan wings and fly's between the designer and rancher. "Hey! Both of you stop arguing!" She squeaks. "But I have to agree with Applejack. Sweetie Bell will be fine. Now wont she Twi?"
Twilight sighs. "Well, she doesn't need the magic immediately. She will make it for a while. At least enough for us to check out the signal." She teaches. Twilight thinks to herself. "At least I hope so..."
"Can you promise me that what you say is true Twilight?" Rarity asks.
Twilight looks down and then up again, flipping her hair upwards. "Yes." She says. "At least I hope so..." --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "So how do we get inside?" Rainbow Dash asks as she hovers above the entrance to the cave hiding the signals. The cave entrance is blocked by a magical barrier covered by constant moving swirls of dark colors. The barrier has dozens of arcane seals displayed slightly in front of it. each seal covered by diffrent symbols, all of which mean nothing to the ponies or even the Doctor himself.
Twilight walks towards the barrier. "I'll have to use my magic to unlock a specific seal, if I unlock the wrong one then it'll explode."
"What kind of sicko designed that?" The Doctor questions. " 'Oh yes pick the wrong one and you'll bloody explode' What a loon!"
"That 'loon' is the princess!" Twilight retorts.
"Well I must say I have to agree with the Doctor, it is a bit... extreme of a defensive measure." Rarity comments as Twilight shoots her a look. Rarity ignores it. "Well do you happen to know what seal you need to unlock?"
Twilight points to the seal right in front of them. "That one."
Twilight's horn begins to glow, her eyes squint as a arcane beam fires from her horn at the seal. The seal levitates into the air, It unlocks with a loud Click. It then begins to shoot beams of light out of it as cracks appear, soon after the air around the ponies turn into a cloud of fire and smoke.
The air turns to ash and fire, screams of pain drown out the noises of explosives. Body's are thrown back and forced to the ground as ponies and a Time Lord gasp for clean air. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ "So, where's Twilight?" Rainbow Dash asks as she attempts to wipe ash off of her cyan coat. "Do you think she went into the cave?"
"Maybe she was abducted by those robo-alien guys! Or maybe she's a double agent for them!" Pinkie Pie gasps. "She's a traitor! Ooohhh I knew we shoulden't have trusted her!" Pinkie suggests as she hops around.
"She's not a traitor..." Rainbow Dash says sternly.
"Oh but she is!"
"She's not...."
Applejack gets back on her hooves from wiping ash from her cutie mark. "Well it don't really matta where Twilight is now does it? Chances are that she's either in that cave or she teleported away with her magic. So I say we head Right on in" Applejack says as she walks towards the magic gate prevously locked, now blown open from the explosion.
"That seems resonable." Rarity agrees. "Besides, the quicker we get through the cave the quicker we can return to Sweetie Bell."
"Well it surely beats sitting here and pondering where a mystical unicorn is now dosen't it? Let's go." The Doctor says.
As they enter the cave it becomes noticbly darker the moment they step foot inside. The cave is extremely smooth on the inside showing signs that the cave is not natural but rather was built by the hoofs of ponies. The farther in the wider the, intially narrow path, gets. Eventually the path ends leading to a large chamber. The middle of which leads downwards. Much, farther down. On the sides large indentations in the cave walls hold large objects. Objects of which seem rather mundane.
"What is this place?" Fluttershy questions.
"Seems like a bunch of junk to me. But apparently this is where the signal is." Rainbow Dash says, clearly uninterested. "Well Doctor, is this the place?"
"Yes but... the signal is coming from all of these objects. I don't understand, this is just of bunch of random stuff from... well... I don't really know where. I mean this stuff is so mundane that it could be from anywhere. Or anytime for that matter." The Doctor takes out his sonic screwdriver and attempts to scan what seems like a sarcophagus. He notices that the sarcophagus is shockingly similar to those found in ancient Egyption ruins... on Earth. "This isn't from this planet. This is from Earth."
"Whatsa Earth?" Pinkie Pie asks.
"It's another planet. I know many people from Earth..." The Doctor examins the sarcophagus further. "Wait a minute there's a keyhole on this thing. Strange... looks just like the keyhole on the Tar-" The Doctors eyes widen while his mouth shuts.
"Doctor? What is it?" Fluttershy asks.
The Doctors hand places over his mouth as a tear forms in his eye. "Wait here..." He grabs a key from his pocket. He places it inside the keyhole of the sarcophagus. Slowly, he turns the key, the sarcophagus opens with a Click. The Doctor walks in slowly as the ponies wait outside. The inside is bigger. The sarcophagus is a Tardis. More tears form in the Doctors eyes as he spots a skeleton. Happened too fast, He couldn't even hope to regenerate. He thinks.
Applebloom hears the sound of hooves on the ground. She signals to Scootaloo to follow her. "Hello... is anyone there?" She whispers. A flash of purple runs past another object, presumably another form of a Tardis. "Twilight? Is that you?"
Twilight walks out from behind the Tardis. "Oh, um. Hi there girls."
The filly's run and hug Twilight tightly. "Twilight! We've been so worried! Where have you been?" Scootaloo asks.
"Oh well, when the explosion went off I um... I ran into the cave because, I thought that uh... that everypony else was."
The rest of the pony's see Twilight and trot over. "Twilight! Are you a traitor? Huh? Huh? Huh?" Pinkie Pie questions as she gets right into Twilight's face. "I knew you couldn't be trusted!"
"Wha- what are you talking about Pinkie?" Twilight says confused as she backs away. "Hey wait a minute. Where's the Doctor?"
"He's messin' round with some weird old... thing, over their." Applejack explains.
"Wait what thing?" Twilight asks as the Doctor walks out of the newly discovered Tardis, tears rolling down his red face.
He looks up and see's Twilight. His eyes widen as his face changes to look full of anger. He approaches Twilight. "You! You knew didn't you. How long did you plan to keep it a secret?" He yells furiously.
Twilight struggles to speak the words in her mind. "I- I- I'm sorry" She sighs "I'm just... I'm sorry."
The Doctor refuses to calm down. "Your sorry? These are, or were, my people. You don't understand what it's like! To be the last of your race! All of these Time Lords... with them... maybe, just maybe I wouldn't be the last one of my race!" The Doctor falls to his knees. "All of this technology. All of these Time Lords. All of it just locked In this cave for, who knows how long." The Doctor sits in silence for a few moments. "But it isn't really your faults is it? Your leader. Please I would like to meet your leader."
Twilight looks unsure of what to say. "Why do you want to meet the princess?"
"I simply want to talk." --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The ponies arrive just outside of the castle, traveling through Canterlot by passing the Doctor off as a newly discovered species of animal. They walk to the castle doors. "I request a audience with Princess Celestia." Twilight explains.
The guard rolls his eyes. "And why is that?" He asks
Rainbow Dash butts in. "Really? Do you not see the never before seen animal behind us?" She retorts.
"Fair enough..." The guard mumbles.
The group enters the doors. The Doctor leans down next to Twilight's ear. "Is it really that easy to get into the castle of a princess around here?"
Twilight shrugs off the Doctors comment. Princess Celestia and Luna look up and realize her student, along with her friends and the Doctor have arrived. The ponies all bow to their benevolent leaders. "Hello princess. May we speak with you in private>
"Of course my student." The princess leads the group to her personal study. "May I ask Twilight Sparkle, what is this... creature you have brought here."
Before Twilight or any of the others can explain, the Doctor does so himself. "My name is the Doctor I'm a Time Lord from the planet Galllifrey located in the constellation of Kasterborous. I am the last of my race. You trapped many of my people in a cave. I'm here for a explanation."
The princess looks shocked for a moment before regaining her composure. She looks at the Doctor unsure of what to say. "Well Doctor, I'm unsure of what to say. I am unaware of what you are speaking of."
"The cave, the random objects that you've never before seen on this planet. You know what I speak of." He retorts.
The princess's eyes widen, realizing what the Doctor is talking about. "Those objects. Those contained your people?"
The Doctor takes in a deep breath. "Yes, those objects are time machines, able to travel through both time and space."
"Well I- I apologize, I had simply no idea. Those, Tardis', as you call them. They simply materialized here in Equestria. We couldn't get inside them, however we were aware that they had something, special, I suppose, about them. They couldn't get into the wrong hands so, we had no choice but to conceal them."
The Doctor's mouth opens to speak however he stopped by his own surprise. A blue cylinder appears behind the princess. "Princess move!" He shouts.
The princess notices the blue cylinder behind her and jumps out of the way. In her place, the cybermen appear. Their stainless steel clash with the brown wood of the royal study. "Really? Now? You had to come now, didn't you?" The Doctor complains.
The cyberman in the middle points to the six friends in the corner. "Those six. They will come to be assimilated." The Cyberman commands, with a static, emotionless voice.
The Doctor knees down next to the ponies. "Right, okay then. Now this could cause a problem." He whispers. "Listen, you need to go with them, if you don't then they could do, well I don't really know but it would be bad. Don't worry, i'll come for you." The Doctor stands up and faces the machines. "Right then. They'll be off with you." The ponies and the Cybermen alike are surrounded by a blue cylinder, and disappear.
Once the ponies and Cybermen disappear, the Doctor once more turns his attention to the princess. "Now then, your very lucky that I'm the Doctor and that I'm here."
"And why is that?" Celestia questions.
"Well because I'm the Doctor. And I'm the only one who can stop them." He claims with a smile on his face. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Doctor see's the Cybermen kidnapping the citizens of Canterlot. He ducks behind a fruit stand in the market district, watching as the Cybermen lead their victims onto their ships.
The Doctor hears a voice behind him."No wait! Please leave us alone!" A pony yells. The Doctor turns, a group of ponies, terrified by the metal shell in front of them. One attempts to ram the Cyberman with it's head, the Cyberman quickly grabs the pony's head. Bolts of electricity transfer from it's hand to the unlucky pony's head, it travels through it's body as bolts of electricity shoot from the stallions body, killing it.
"No!" The Doctor yells as he leaves his hiding place. He plants himself in front of the large group.
The Cyberman spots the Doctor. It lifts it arm to it's face and speaks. "The Doctor has been located. The Doctor has been located." It repeats. Another ship appears in the sky above the Doctor, a spot light shines on him. "Leave this race alone!" The Doctor commands. "It's me you want isn't it? So this is how you draw me out? By killing those that have nothing to do with me?" The Doctor questions. "Well take me then! I surrender."
The Cyberman, now accompanied by other Cybermen stares at the Doctor. "We will accept your surrender. Though this race will be assimilated." The Cyberman says.
"Oh is that so? Well thanI suppose I can't go with you. Now Can I?" The Doctor teases.
"You have no choice in the matter, your are surrounded." The Cyberman taunts.
"Yes I do." The Doctor points his sonic screwdriver at the Cybermen. For a moment they simply stare. Then sparks shoot from their heads, and finally they begin to explode, one by one. The Doctor walks to a destroyed Cyberman, he leans down next to it a pulls a small device from it. The ends are covered in scorched metal however the middle contains a purple glowing material in it. "I warned you" The Doctor says into the Cyberman's functioning wrist radio.
"Welp... time to board a hostile enemy ship" The Doctor thinks to himself. "I swear I do this far to much. Ahh but who am I kidding, I love it!
"You will now be upgraded." A Cyberman insists, "Into line."
The sound of buzz saws ring throughout the ship. Curtains cover up the massacre coming from said buzz saws. Rainbow Dash gets a cocky look on her face. "Yeah, you know what? I think I'm fine with the body I've got." She comments as she moves out of line. A Cyberman confronts her, pushing her back into the line of ponies. Rainbow Dash flaps her wings and hovers in the air. "Hey! Watch it jerk!" She bucks the Cyberman in the chest, a hollow clang rings inside it's metallic body, as it simply brushes of the attack. The Cyberman puts it's cold iron hands on Rainbow Dash's shoulder as lighting shoots through the Pegasus's body forcing her to the ground.
The other ponies all gasp in unison. "Rainbow Dash!" Scootaloo calls.
"Awe now you gone and done it. Ma turn!" Applejack declares. She jumps up and bucks the Cyberman in the head leaving a surprisingly large dent in it's head, causing it to fall backwards. "C'mon y'all lets move!
The ponies follow Applejack's instructions as they speed through the halls. Alarms begin ringing throughout the ship as the halls are filled with flashing bursts of crimson. "How do we even get out get out of her anyway?" Rainbow dash ponders.
"Just keep running!" Twilight orders. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Doctor appears in a holding block of the Cyberman ship. Every cell is empty, most likely they've all been turned to Cybermen. He begins walking down the block until he reaches a hallway. Suddenly a alarm goes off, aluminating the room in red. The Doctor dashes down the hallway in hopes of finding the ponies. The Doctor turns a corner and runs right into a Cyberman.
"Okay. Other way then!" He comments as he turns around. He runs back towards where he came from however twom more Cybermen cut him off. "Okay not that way either then!"
The Cybermen begin to surround him. "You have nowhere to run Doctor... Now, you shall be assimilated."
"No wait! Bring me to this ships Cyber-Leader!" The Doctor commands.
The Cybermen stare for a moment before one speaks. "We shall grant your wish." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "So your the Cyber-Leader around here huh?" The Doctor asks, they Cyberman in front of him. This one with a a black chest plate instead of the usual silver.
"That is correct. Why have you come here, Doctor.?" They Cyber-Leader asks, with a significantly deeper and more sinister voice than the rest.
"Because your going to let these ponies go." The Doctor sighs. "Never thought I would say that really." The Doctor refocuses. "Why do you need them anyway. You only abduct humans."
"The Cybermen have discovered our one and only true weakness. Our diversity." The Cyber-leader explains.
"So you abduct other races. Starting with this one." The Doctor pulls out his sonic screwdriver. "Well then I suppose your pretty disappointed that I'm here huh?" The Doctor smirks. "Well how about a ultimatum? You let the ponies go and leave peacefully, or you don't and I take them back and make you leave."
"You are in no position to make demands, Doctor. We will keep this species and assimilate them. However you are incompatible. You shall be deleted." The Cyber-leader threatens.
Other Cybermen begin to flood the room as they surround the Doctor. A voice comes from the hallway. "This way girls" Twilight Sparkle turns into the room followed by the rest. "Oh. Hi there Doctor."
"Girls!"
"Well what do we got here? This guy looks special." Rainbow Dash comments, hoofing towards the Cyber-leader.
"That's the Cyber-leader." The Doctor explains. "He commands this ship."
"Well then how about you just get outa her, eh?" Pinkie Pie says, waving around her hoof.
"Yes I must agree with her!" Rarity comments. "I would indeed recommend you leave."
"Negative, you shall be assimilated." The Cyber-leader commands.
The Cybermen close in on the ponies and Doctor. "Twilight! Use your magic on them! It'll fry their systems!" The Doctor demands.
Twilight shoots a beam form her horn, striking the Cyberman in the chest. The beam of magic shoots from one Cyberman to another as they violently shake and finally fall to the ground. "So, what was that about us having no way to make demands and that we would be assimilated no matter what? Because if your plan is to assimilate a race that has the inherent ability to take down a Cyberman. Well than your out of luck aren't you?"
The Cyber-leader stays silent for a moment. "Not if they are destroyed."
"What do you mean, destroyed?" Twilight asks.
The Doctor turns to Twilight, a distraught look on his face. "It's a Cyberman ship. A mothership. Equipped with enough fire power to destroy a large city in one blast."
The Cyber-leader taunts. "There is nothing you can do to stop it Doctor."
"We'll see about that." The Doctor comments. "C'mon girls. We've got somewhere to be." --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Doctor scans a small screen with numbers on it with the sonic screwdriver. In front of him, a large rotunda of plasma energy, ready to fire straight at Canterlot. "Watcha' doooin'?" Pinkie Pie asks.
"Reversing the polarity of the plasma rotunda in order to reverse the firing mechanism in order to make it hit this ship." The Doctor explains."
"Oh yeah I can help with that!" Pinkie says.
The Doctor stops Pinkie's hoof from moving with his hand. "Don't. Touch it!" He warns. The massive machinery in front of him gives off a loud Click. The plasma inside begins moving in the opposite direction. "Well alright then. Now all that's left is to take over the bridge of this ship which is no doubt guarded by a dozen of Cybermen that are already on alert and ready to act."
Twilight scrunches up her face. "Sounds suicidle."
The Doctor smirks. "Yeah. Most of the things I do are." He says. "And they've gotten me killed before." The Doctor realizes. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Doctor enters the bridge of the Cyberman mothership. A large console sits in the middle of the room. Ahead of that, a huge window with other consoles behind it, with a one large one in the middle. Half a dozen Cybermen guard the room.
"Right then, i'm the Doctor, you're the Cybermen, this is your ship, I now wish to take control of it." The Doctor says.
"Impossible." A Cyberman retorts.
"You know you've been saying that a whole lot lately, and it hasn't really been working out for you. Has it?" The Doctor taunts.
"It does not matter. We will delete them." The Cyberman threatens.
"Yeah, I'm not so sure." The Doctor says. A rumbling comes from above the room. "And this, is why."
A air vent busts open, Rainbow Dash floats down. "Hey their Cyber-loser." The rest of the ponies flood from the vents. Rainbow Dash bucks the Cyberman making it fall down onto some controls. The entire ship begins to tilt to one side before jerking back.
"Whoa there cowboy." Applejack calls out.
"Sorry" Rainbow Dash appologizes.
A Cyberman begins to corner Fluttershy. "Um excuse me. Could you back up?" The Cyberman doesn't listen. "Your being very rude. Please back up." The Cyberman backs into the wall. Fluttershy looks at Twilight. "Um Twilight. Could you please shock this one?"
Twilight looks behind her. "Fluttershy!" Twilight's horn begins to glow before shooting the Cyberman with a bolt of purple electricity.
"Thank you." Fluttershy says.
The ponies finish off the rest of the Cybermen. "Out of the way!" The Doctor calls as he rushes to the controls. "We've only got a few minutes until this ship is up in flames. I've got to get it out of the city before then!"
"Hey now wait just a minute! How do we get off of this ship?" Pinkie Pie asks.
"Teleportation." The Doctor explains. "Their are teleporters on this ship we can get to them." The Doctor scans the controls with the sonic screwdriver. The Ship tilts and turns. An explosion comes from behind them, rocking the entire ship. "The ship beginning to explode! We have to go now! Follow me!" The Doctor orders as he runs out of the room, ponies in tow. More explosions erupt throughout the ship, violently shaking the ship with every blow. "This way!" The Doctor turns right into a room with hundreds of glowing devices on the ground.
"Doctor, what are they?" Twlight asks.
"Teleporters. What do you think?" The Doctor says. "Now come on everyone stand on it." The Doctor points to a gray button on the device. "Once I press this we'll all go back down there." The Doctor pushes the button hard.
Nothing happens.
The Doctor gets a face of confusion. And pushes it again.
Nothing happens.
"They've shut down the teleporters." The Doctor realizes, as he rubs his fingers through his hair. "We have no time left! We have to find another way!"
"We do have another way." Rarity mentions. "We've got Twilight, she can teleport us out. Right Twilight?"
"Well." Twilight begins. "I could but, it'll take quite a bit out of me, but I think I can." She admits. "Alright everypony." Twilight looks at the Doctor. "And Time Lord, grab on."
Everyone puts their hand and hoof on Twilight. A purple orb surrounds them, and with a single flash of light and magic. Their gone.
The group appears inside the walls of Canterlot with a flash of purple. Twilight gasps for air before dropping to the ground. "Twilight!" Rainbow Dash yells as she runs to her friend. "Twilight! Are you okay?"
"I'll be fine." Twilight assures. "It's just that, teleporting that many beings so far away takes quite a bit out of you, but i'll be back on my hooves in no time."
Applejack looks up in the sky. "Doctor, when that ship explodes ain't all them little pieces gonna come back down on us?" Applejack questions." Ponies are gonna get hurt now!" She says.
The Doctor stares up into the starry night, seemingly paying no attention to Applejacks words of concern. "Wait for it." He says with a smile before turning back to the sky. "3. 2. 1." The ship leaves the sky without so much as a sound.
Twilight gets back to her hooves and stumbles over to the Doctor. "Wha- what? Where did it go?" She asks.
"Back to where it came from." The Doctor explains. "Back in the control room I changed the ships systems to send it back to space. Cool huh?" He boasts.
"So then." Rainbow Dash starts. "Is it over?" She asks. "The Cybermen I mean, are they all gone, did we win?"
"I suppose. When that ship left it took the other Cybermen with it." The Doctor says.
Fluttershy tugs on the Doctor's coat. "Um. what about them?" She says as she points to three Ponies standing behind them.
Pinkie Pie bounces towards the three ponies. "Hey there!" Pinkie taps on one of their shoulders. The pony rings with a metallic clang, as it stares at Pinkie. "Woah what are you? Hollow or something? Thats weird. No pony else that I know is hollow, unless." Pinkie turns to the Doctor. "Hey! Are you hollow." She looks at the pony once more. "Whatever. Hey so who are you again?" The pony's horn glows as a gray hue surrounds Pinkie as she's lifted into the air. The party pony is thrown across the air and lands on the ground next to Twilight. "Ugh. That wasn't very fun." She moans.
Rainbow Dash flies towards the unicorn. "Hey jerk. What's your problem?" She yells and flies above them.
"We are Cyber-infiltrator pony units. I am pony unit 001." All three of the pony's horn begin to glow. "You will now be deleted from existence."
The Doctor steps from behind the other's. "Hold just a minute! How where you not returned to the ship when it went back to space like all the other's?"
Their horns dim slightly. We are infiltrators, designed to stay on planets without the need of a ship nearby." Their horns begin to glow again. "Doctor, you shall be the first on this planet to parish, then the rest of it's inhabitents will follow your footsteps to their demise."
"See now, you keep on saying that but not once has that ever really happened \. The odds are against you ya know." The Doctor taunts. "But it doesn't matter really now does it? Because i'll stop you this time but then in a week's time you'll try again. But i'll stop you again." He boasts." So go ahead. Try to kill me but you know you'll just fail."
"You may believe this, but you will be deleted." The Cyber-infiltrator assures.
"Really?" The Doctor asks as he looks above the Cyber-infiltrators. "Well then you might consider doing something about that."
On cue Rainbow Dash swoops down from behind the Cyber-infiltrators and kicks one right in the head. The robot flies forward, it's head dented and cybernetic horn destroyed. "Now Twilight!" Rainbow Dash calls out. Twilight shoots a beam of condensed magic into the Cyber-infiltrator. Shorting out it's systems.
The final infiltrator catches Rainbow Dash from mid air with it's magic and tosses her into her friends. The group of companions tumble down a small hill behind them and hit the ground hard. The infiltrator hurls large rocks at them. Applejack quickly rises to her hooves and bucks the rocks to tiny pieces. As she recovers a final boulder is hurled at her. "Applejack watch out!" Twilight warns as she attempts to stop the rock with her advanced magic.
"Why, thank ya Twilight. Now hurl that rock right back at that crazed robot!" She commands.
The boulder goes flying towards the final infiltrator but it's own magic stops it from smashing it. The boulder remains still in mid-air. Twilight groans. "I can't hold onto this to much longer. guy's help me out here!" She pleads
Rainbow Dash speeds towards the boulder. " I gotcha Twilight!" Rainbow Dash pushes the boulder with as much speed and force as she can as it slowly gets closer to the infiltrator but still the infiltrator remains stronger.
Suddenly a green aura surrounds the rock, and it slowly goes towards the infiltrator,as it gets quicker and quicker it hurls at the final Cyber-infiltrator and at last finishes it off.
"Sweetie Bell?" Rarity asks as she sees a small filly standing next to where the Cyber-infiltrator was.
"Sis?" The figure asks. "Rarity!" The filly slides down the mountain revealing Sweetie Bell as she wraps her hooves around her sister.
"Sweetie Bell?" Scootaloo questions. "That was awesome! You stood by the robot and were all like, pow, and he was done for!"
"Yeah that was pretty great Sweetie Bell but, how did you even find us?" Twilight asks.
"I woke up in the Tardis, I stumbled out and heard yelling, and magic. So I galloped over here and found you guys." She explains.
The Doctor moves through the ponies surrounding Sweetie Bell. "Hello Sweetie Bell, how do you feel? You shouldn't be up and about so quickly."
Sweetie Bell gives the Doctor a smile to assure she's fine.
"Doctor? Do you really have to go? I'm sure Princess Celestia would love to speak with you, what with you saving us and everything." Twilight asks.
The Doctor opens the doors to the Tardis and steps inside. "Ah well, next time I suppose."
Pinkie Pie hops in front of the Doctor. "Ohhh, does that mean you're gonna come back?" She asks.
Rainbow Dash overs in the air. "Yeah I mean." She shy's away a bit. "Not like i'm gonna miss you or anything like that but, you should visit you know?" She puts her hoof up in the air. "Hoof bump?" The Doctor matches her hoof with his fist.
"Well than Doctor, s'pose that's that then. Thank ya for all ya did. We might not be standin' 'ere if y'all hadn't come 'round." Apple Jack thanks.
"Twilight, let me give you something!" The Doctor says as he rushes into the Tardis. He returns with a small black box with flashing lights and a blue button on top. "If you need me, just use this, i'll, probably be able to hear it." He says as he hands it to Twilight. He begins to close the Tardis doors, well than girls. I'll be off." The doors shut as the sound of the Tardis rings throughout Equestria one last time.
