Luna squirmed in King Terra's grip as he levitated his frisky daughter towards her bedroom, the fillies had been up since dawn, and Luna did not want to go to bed.

"Daddy!!" She squealed, "I don't wanna go to bed! Santa's gonna come tonight, and I wanna stay up and see him!" She squeaked.

Terra just chuckled, he knew his daughters both loved Christmas but the two of them had to go to sleep! This had been going on for too long, it was already nine-thirty, about an hour after their bed times.

"Now, Luna. You know Santa won't come unless you're fast asleep." Terra reminded his daughter with a little chuckle.

Luna stopped her squirming almost immediately and then she smiled brightly after he put her back on the ground. Things were starting to look up for Terra who smiled kindly.

"Ooh, I know all about that! I know Santa will only come when I'm asleep but I just can't sleep. I'm too excited! 'Tia says we might get that huge dollhouse we both wanted, will we get it daddy?" Luna asked him, her eyes widening with hope.

Terra just smiled mysteriously and shook his head a little, "You can never tell with Santa honey, but you did send out that list you made. So we'll see." He replied.

Luna nodded and giggled in happiness as she skipped into the bedroom she shared with her sister. Celestia looked like she was sound asleep and Luna's happiness fell a little. They always stayed up together and listened for Santa's sleigh on Christmas.

Terra picked up Luna with his magic and plopped her into bed. She yawned a huge, fake yawn and snuggled into bed. Her father leaned in to kiss her, and Luna let him.

When Terra finally left the room, Luna opened up her eyes in a squint and looked over at her sister. Celestia was looking at her now as well and they both giggled quietly.

"What do you think we're gonna get this year?" Luna asked.

Celestia just sighed and flopped her head on her pillow, she had so many ideas of what she wanted!

"Well... I want that dollhouse and a new charm bracelet and a jewelry box for the bracelet and some earrings and... Well so many other things!" Celestia cried softly.

Luna giggled and Celestia sighed softly and she smiled at her little sister, "what do you want Luna?" She asked her.

To her surprise however, Luna suddenly started to sing. She sung in a beautiful soft voice.

"Santa baby, slip a little dolly under the tree for me. I've been so good this year. Santa baby, So hurry down the chimney tonight."

Celestia gasped, "Luna try and keep it down. Our parents could hear us!" she hissed.

Luna nodded and continued her song.

"Santa baby, I really want that dollhouse, you know, the one I've asked for all year. Santa baby, I'll stay up for you, dear. Santa baby, hurry down the chimney tonight."

Celestia giggled and then sang her part. They did this almost every year, and it was really fun.

"Think of all the fun I've missed. Think of all the colts I haven't kissed. Santa baby, next year I could be just as good if you check off my Christmas list."

Luna giggled along with her and then she sang her part again after gasping for air.

"Santa baby, I want a sled and really that's not a lot; I've been an angel all year. Santa baby, so hurry down the chimney tonight."

Luna stopped her singing as the girls heard a little jingle coming from the roof. They both squealed in delight and snuggled deeper into their beds, they knew Santa wouldn't show up if they were awake.

"Santa baby; there's one more thing we really do need and that's lots of love and cheer. So Santa honey, come on down the chimney tonight." Celestia sang along with Luna.

They quieted down when they heard a delightfully jolly laugh coming from their living room. The laugh sounded so happy Luna had to giggle along with it, but Celestia shushed her, she knew it was Santa.

"I can't believe Santa's here! Can you!?" Luna whispered excitedly.

Celestia smiled, "I know! He's here in our castle! I'm like so totally stoked right now!" she replied happily.

Luna just rolled her eyes, Celestia had been talking funny for a while now, and she had learned to just go along with it.

"Well, we better go to sleep or else he won't give us any presents!" Luna hissed at her squealing sister.

Celestia nodded and she snuggled into her pillow and smiled to herself. She was so hoping for that bracelet.

Luna on the other hand, was now dreaming about dolls, love and snow. There hadn't been any snow in a long time and she wanted some for tonight.

Luna's wish came true as the snow fell silently outside the sister's window.

Santa Claus himself was looking for his cookies but all he saw was a peach cobbler and he sighed and laughed his jolly laugh, he would eat anything but these peach treats were getting tiresome.

Luna smiled happily as she helped her mother raise the sun on Christmas morning, she had been waiting for this moment all year!

She squealed in delight as her mother took her by the hoof and helped her lower the moon, the sun was rising with her mother's magic. The sun was now the only celestial body in the sky.

"Can we go open our presents now!?" Luna asked impatiently.

Aeterna smiled and giggled at her daughter's cute look of impatience and longing. She nuzzled her daughter and nodded.

"Of course you can, sweetie. You've been waiting so well." She replied.

She knew Santa had come last night, and she and Terra had thanked him for his work. He'd said it wasn't a problem, but they had given him and his reindeer something just to be kind.

He had to travel all of Equestria in one night after all!

The two alicorns ran excitedly into the very large, very decorated living room where a dozen or so presents were piled up under the tree.

Terra and Celestia were already there, and they were waiting for them.

"Finally! Now we can open everything!" Celestia said happily.

Terra snickered and shook his head, some things never changed.

"Okay, but let you're sister open one first... Or not."

Terra smiled as the two sisters jumped into the large pile and started opening things that had their names on them. They shoved their parent's presents to them and the royals both opened each one.

"Ooh, darling look! I got that Saddle Arabian style tea-set I wanted. Isn't it beautiful? Thank you so much." Aeterna gushed as she opened her final present.

Terra smiled, he had actually gotten her that one and he kissed his wife on the lips.

Both of the fillies stopped opening their gifts and blushed a bright cherry red.

"Oh, gross! Do you guys have to do that every year!?" Celestia exclaimed.

Luna just nodded, she thought it was kinda sweet, but Celestia was the older one and she knew better, right?

"Mommy look, I got my sled!" Luna cried as she opened the largest present.

Aeterna smiled. She hugged Luna, she had gotten her that present. The four alicorns all talked and laughed about their presents, Celestia had gotten her bracelet and jewelry box, Luna had gotten her sled and doll, and everypony was happy and warm.

The fireplace crackled with a happily roaring fire. Terra, Aeterna , Luna and Celestia were all cuddled up on the carpet that was near the fire. They did this every year, once they had all gotten a chance to play with their presents and gifts.

Luna had played for hours on her sled, and she had even given the commoner ponies a try. Her mother always said she had to be nice to their little ponies, so she was.

Celestia however, spent all day admiring herself in her large vanity mirror, but she did play with her sister. She hadn't learn how to love the commoners yet, she thought they wouldn't like her as much as they did her parents and sister.

Christmas dinner was one of the best ones yet. The cook had done his best and Aeterna was so grateful that she had invited him and his family who also worked for them, to have dinner with them all.

The family ended their perfect Christmas by making a beautiful starry night. The sky was full of sparkling stars, constellations and even a beautiful North Star that shone brightly in the sky.

The royals made one of the best shows in the sky that night and everypony could tell that they all were very happy and had had a very happy Christmas.

The End.
