"Get out of here, I'll take over!" says Jorge. As Six gives him the bomb, Jorge spots a pair of Elite Zealots running towards them. He springs into action, pushing the other spartan out of the way of the plasma blasts. "Go, I'll be fine", he shouts, as Six jumps our of The hangar bay, he picks up his machine gun and shoots both of the aliens, killing them.
Skip ahead a few minutes. As Jorge sets off the bomb, a portal appears, sucking Jorge in, and then everything goes dark.
A sudden yell shakes Twilight Sparkle awake. The yell came from spike, her one and only Dragon assistant. "Come on Twilight, get up!" He says. "I think a space rock thing crashed outside!" Twilight gets out of bed to go investigate. When she looks outside, she sees nothing but a smoking crater. "Spike, there's nothing there" she says. "No, no, there was something there, it's still there, It has to be!" "Spike, go back to bed, we'll find out whatever it was in the morning, after we've had some sleep."
A few seconds after the crash... A figure opens its eyes, it sees warnings flashing in It's HUD. Nearby a door opens, the figure hears it, and lies still. The door closes, and the pounding of running feet is heard, the creature is gone.
Jorge is running into the forest, he doesn't know where he is, but it can't be good, he swears he just saw an Elite. He checks his gear, assault rifle, machine gun, combat knife, grenades. He sighs, "good it's all here." "The Covanent will have a hard time taking me down if they find me. Nearby a UNSC armored division has just been glasses along with planet Reach, but instead of the pain they were expecting, they were sent into a forest. They are still trying to figure out what has happened.

"Hey lieutenant, what the fuck just happened?" "Shit, I don't know, where the hell are we?" says lieutenant Jenkins. "What's our position?" "I don't know, sir, satellites aren't responding, I can have a pelican up in the air to give us some eyes in the sky if I need to., sir." " No, we're running low on fuel, we should conserve it unless we absolutely need to use it. However, we do need to set up a perimeter, get to work ODST." The ODSTs sprang into action, some went and got shovels to dig firing pits for the four M808 Scorpion Main Battle Tanks, Others cut down trees and smoothed out land to make a safe landing zone for the pelicans. After a few hours the work was finished. There was a smooth landing pad for the pelicans, and the tanks were entrenched in firing pits, the ODSTs had also built wooden fortifications with the wood hey had cut down while building the landing pad, thiugh they wouldn't do much good against plasma weapons because they were made out of wood that would burn easily, however, it would offer some protection, which was good. A few minutes later a faint transmission came over LT Jenkins comm unit. They can barely make out the words. "This is Spartan "static" to all UNSC personnel, "static" advised that we are in hostile territory."static" Now that LT Jenkins knows that there will probably be Covanent patrols, he orders camouflage netting placed over all of the vehicles under his command. Then he says "all engineers, report to me in the CC, we have some work to do." Once all of the engineers had reported in and gathered for briefing Jenkins said, " all right, our first order of business will be to get the tanks, pelicans and warthogs up and running, then we can focus on other things, like beefing up the defenses on and around he perimeter. Get to work ODSTs, lets move."
Location: unknown Date: 2552 Planet: unkown As Jorge ran away from what he was sure was an elite, he heard roaring off in the distance. Then he heard the sound that he had come to know while fighting the Covanent, the sound of an assault rifle. As he got closer to the gunfire, he heard some static over his helmet comms. "Static" "Cortana, what the hell is that thing? One minute we were on the forward unto dawn, going into skip space and now were suddently on a planet?" As the Master Chief, also known as Spartan 117 was fighting the monster, a large bulky figure, clad in MJOLNIR armor came running out and crashed into the beast. The figure took out his combat knife, raised it high over his head, and plunged it into the creatures body. As he was doing his, the Master Chief recognized him as Jorge, a fellow spartan. The Master Chief thought that Jorge could use some help, so he jumped onto the creature, pulled the pin on a frag grenade and jammed it down the creatures throat. Then he let the creature shake him of, and watched the grenade explode. As the beast died, he said, "Jorge, where are we?" " I don't know sir, but I think we're in enemy territory, I saw an elite earlier" replied Jorge, who had gotten covered in the beasts guts when the grenade had exploded. "Is there any other UNSC personnel around here?" asked the Master Chief. " I couldn't say, sir, i was just blowing up a Covie Supercarrier, when I was transported here," said Jorge. " well then, we should probably find out." Early in the morning... "Come on Spike, get up, we have to go investigate, after I write a letter to the princess we ad going to gather the rest of the elements and see what it was." A few seconds after Twilight wrote the letter, she got a reply. "Do not investigate, we are sending a team of royal guards to ponyville, don't let Rainbow Dash know about this, if you do, she might do something stupid." "Never mind, Spike, I guess Princess Luna or Celestia didn't think it was a good idea for us to go out and investigate." "I think I'll get the rest of the elements together, though, just in case." After telling Spike where she was going, she left to go get the elements ready."
Early the next morning Princess Celestia arrived with a force of about 50 of the best trained Royal Guards, equipped with the best weaponry Equestria had to offer. They set out at once, following tracks left by some large creature, heading into Everfree forest. After about an hour of hard marching, they neared the ODSTs outer perimeter. At once the ODSTs caught sight of the guards shiny armor. One of the ODSTs was sent out to talk to the ponies. Once the ponies caught sight of this bipedal creature coming towards the Princess, they immediately opened fire with their crossbows. The arrows however, bounced off of the ODST's hardened armor. It was then that the two spartans, the Master Chief, and Jorge arrived, having heard the noise the Royal Guard troops had been making as they marched through the forest. When they saw the ODST get shot at they sprang into action, immediately the Master Chief took down the guard that had fired, jumping on him and stabbing him. At once Celestia yelled for them to stop. However they did not listen, they charged at the spartan, hoping to overwhelm him with sheer numbers. As they reached him, even as they swung their swords the Chief was ready, pulling out his plasma sword, slicing the Royal Guards to pieces with his deadly blade. Then ,and only then did the Guards cease fire, stunned by the ease and efficiency with which he had taken down some of their best troops. Celestia was stunned, never had she seen such efficiency, about. 20 of the guards had been taken down in less than half a minute. "Stop", she yelled once again. However, this time the results were different, the Royal Guards immediately stopped and formed a shield wall around Celestia. By this time the ODSTs were on the ground, laughing at how easily the troops were taken down. "Do you understand me? Will you take me to your leader", Celestia asked. One of the Marines said, "whoa, whoa, you expect us to open diplomatic relations after you have just assaulted us, given it was not much of an assault, but still." "We could beat you easily if we tried alien" one of the guards shot back. "I seriously doubt that, given that you just attacked us with 50 troops and just lost about 20, and we didn't lose any at all" said one ODST. However, Lieutenant Jenkins chose this moment to appear. "What do you want" he said. It was then that Celestia realized that she didn't know, she hadn't come here expecting sentient beings, she had expected a wild animal or something like that. "I.......... I........... I don't know" she said. To be continued
The pelicans set down about one mile south of the invasion force, the ODSTs and the two spartans jumped out, ready for. A fight. A platoon of snipers got up on a hill to provide fire support. The rest of the marines, along with the two spartans started marching towards the oncoming griffons. As the griffons came into view they started running towards the marines. Once they came within a few hundred meters the ODSTs opened fire on them. Combined with the sniper support, the results were devastating, however, the griffons numbers worked towards their advantage, and the UNSC forces were slowly but surely pushed back. By now he reinforcements Celestia had sent were dead, but the UNSC had only lost about 5 troops to the griffon horde. About the same time that the marines were starting to run low on ammunition, the tanks, along with the warthogs arrived. The griffons didn't know if these metal beasts were friend or foe. However, this was quickly settled when the guns opened fire. The griffon formation was devastated, the canister and bin explosive shells into scores of griffons every second, hundreds were falling to the chainguns on the warthogs. The griffons put up with this only for about twenty seconds, then, their formation decimated, they turned tail and ran. Nine out of ten griffons had fallen. For every UNSC soldier killed or wounded about sixty griffon soldiers were killed or wounded. Only a handful of griffons made it out alive. One of these griffons eventually made it to the commander of the army. He reported how easily the enemy had taken them out from range, and the deadly efficiency with which the metal monsters had chewed the formation apart. However, one of the most interesting facts were about the two soldiers clad in the special armor. Apparently it had some sort of shields, as well as hardened metal plating. Reports said that these two had managed to take down at least one hundred griffons singlehandedly. This worried the commander, and he had new weapons developed to combat this new threat. These now weapons would be named project Orion.
Project Orion consisted of new, more powerful ranged weapons, as well as armored vehicles pulled by griffons. These new vehicles would have a rotating catapult mounted on top. However they would be extremely slow, but almost invulnerable. Definitely more than enough to combat the metal beasts, thought the commander. The new ranged weapons consisted of a normal crossbow fitted with an attachment that allowed the firing of a larger bolt with an explosive spell cast on it. The crossbow would be slow to reload, but it would be better than a normal crossbow. When tested it worked just fine, when it was issued, however there was a slight problem, when it was exposed to dust, rust, or mud, it sometimes jammed. This would be a problem in and of itself, but, when it jammed, the bolt had a tendency to explode, thus causing severe damage to the griffon welding the weapon. This was overlooked in favor of getting the new weapons to the soldiers as fast as possible. --------------------- Back in Canterlot, however, there was a different problem. How would one resupply ammunition made in a factory whiteout a factory to make it in? Now, there was a very simple solution to this problem. The unicorns had a spell that would allow the user to duplicate simple items. One unicorn could easily duplicate a few hundred every hour. That said Lieutenant Jenkins and his troops could resupply very easily.
Location: Canterlot Date: 2552 Planet: unknown "Why the hay are we letting these hairless monkeys fight our war for us" said a guard captain. "We could easily take on the griffons as well as the humans!" A few moments after the words had left the captains mouth, laughter was heard in the back of the room. "Ok, sure you could, because you definitely took us down with your guard troops when we first met. Yeah, you did a really good job then, huh." Said LT Jenkins sarcastically. "Oh yeah, we could take on your sorry excuse for troops any day of the week." Replied the guard. "All right then, well have your whole sorry platoon go up against the Master Chief here, well see how good you do then, huh." "Chief, try not to beat them too badly, ok?" "Sir, yes sir!" The next morning, as the guards were getting ready for what they thought would be the easiest fight they would ever fight, the Master Chief was picking out his weapons and loading them with TTR, or tactical training rounds. Once you got hit with one it would explode into some sort of paint like substance, and would knock you out. The Master Chie took an assault rifle and a shotgun. A few minutes later he was ready. The. The platoon of about one hundred and fifty ponies cam out in their shiny guard amor, ready for a fight. Once the fight started the Master Chief was unstoppable. Once the ponies got within seventy meters the Master Chief opened up with his assault rifle, ponies fell left and right. After he had blown through about a fourth of the formation he ran out of ammunition for his assault rifle. Switching over to his shotgun, he kept blowing ponies away. He got into a sort of rhythm, he would shoot, kill a whole wave, then scramble to reload before the next wave. Ben all of a sudden the Master Chief reached for more shotgun shells, but there were none. He threw the shotgun to the side, grabbed his magnum he always had, and blew through twenty ponies before running out of pistol rounds. Before switching back to his assault rifle and using it as a club to batter down pony after pony. Soon there was only one left standing, the master Chief the ponies were astounded, never had they seen a single pony take down ten royal guards, let alone one hundred and fifty. To top it off the master chie just acted like it was just another day in the office. He hadnt even broken a sweat, his armor was in pristine condition.
The Master Chief cleaned his weapons. After using them so much they really needed it. They had dust, TTR, and mud stuck inside. They also had a few dents, which could be pounded out too. The Chief knew that if you weapons stopped working at a critical time, it could kill you. A few marines came up to him to congratulate him on the battle, but he didn't say anything. He thought that the ponies army had little to no discipline. They weren't trained well, and would not survive for more than ten minutes on the modern battlefield.
While the Chief was cleaning his weapons, Jenkins was speaking to the princesses and some of the military advisors. "What do you think of our army, lieutenant?" The princess said.
"From what I've seen, you are very unprepared for combat. On a scale of one to ten you are about a four."
"Why would you say that" asked Celestia.
"We'll, for one, you had no strategy, you just sent in wave after wave, never varying your plan of attack. Secondly, you have very primaries weapons. And last but not least, your soldiers are out of shape. Most of them would be hard pressed to run a mile in under fifteen minutes." Replies Jenkins. One of the guard captains heard this and decided to put his two cents in.
"Our weapons are very effective" he said. "Well then" replied Jenkins. "What's the longest range of your best weapon?"
"The longest range for our ballista is about one fourth of a mile.'however we have hit targets up to about half a mile" said the guard. At this some of the sniper platoon that were with them burst out laughing. "Like you could do any better" said the guard.
"All right then" said Jenkins, "we'll put on a show for you. Meet us in about an hour at the pelican we rode on on." About an hour later the princesses and a select few guard captains were standing at the shooting range."
"First we will be showcasing the Sniper Rifle System 99 C. This gun has a range of about two miles. There is a finder lock target about two miles downrange, it is only a meter in diameter, there is a target painted on the front. Boom, the shot echoed off the canyon walls for a few seconds after it was fired. The finder lock target disintegrated. The shot impacting dead center. "As you can see, the sniper rifle is a very accurate tool. Next we will be showing the rocket launcher, and the assault rifle.
