Derpy is going to some troubled times. Can Doctor save her from herself? Or will she just sink lower than ever imagined?

"All she wants is to make sure others are happy before she makes herself happy. But all she is doing is hurting herself..." Derpy is sinking deep in depression and only the Doctor can save her. Will Derpy leave her friends forever, or will the Doctor save her?

I was listening to the song The A Team and this story popped in my head. So I wrote it and thought is was worthy enough to post! So, Enjoy I guess! (PS. I am sorry the description stinks. I am not good at making summary thingys so... Just give it a chance please!)

Save me...

Ever since I came here, all she has done is try to make me and all the other ponies happy. But she has just been suffering herself. How could I have just realized that now? It’s winter, and we became companions 2 years ago on this very day. She went missing this morning and I couldn’t find her anywhere. I am a bit worried because I know she has been feeling lowly of herself lately and no matter what I do, she won’t listen when I tell her she is worthy.

“Derpy listen to me, you aren’t stupid! You are one of the most intelligent mares I have met!” I tell her sternly.

“Well, that’s one pony’s opinion! How could I be smart when I look like this and break everything I touch?!” She screams at me with tears in her beautiful amber eyes.

I had just caught her with a blade trying to harm herself when I took it away from her. We got in a fight about how she was smarter than she was told by the other ponies in town.

I run outside after checking every room in the TARDIS and search all around Ponyville, I ask every pony I see but they don’t seem to know where she is. Tears start running down my cheeks, I know what she left to do and now I can’t help her. I haven’t let anyone die since I came here and I can’t fail now. She could’ve flown all the way to Fillydelphia for all I know. She is the one who saved me when I came here, now I need to save her. Wait, what if she went to the cliff? Maybe, I will have to go check… I run there as fast as my hooves will take me, and then I see her. She is so beautiful, why won’t she listen to me?

“Derpy what do you think you are doing!” I yell sternly at her when I caught her in the bathroom with her hoof over the sink and a knife cutting the skin at her wrist and the blood dripping down.

“No pony needs me in this world… So why would it matter what I am doing?” She replies with small tears in her eyes.

“Derpy, Dinky needs you, Sparkler needs you! What about your job?” I call back at her.

“They have Carrot Top and you… They will be fine,” I had just enough and I took the knife away. She stretches for it but I make sure to keep it out of her reach.

“Derpy, I have had just enough of you hurting yourself. I am taking everything sharp away from you, I can’t lose you,” I say softly but with seriousness.

She can’t do this! I start crying harder with my mind reminding me of the other times she has tried to take her life. She can’t do this anymore. I can’t lose her!

“DERPY! Please! Listen to me!” I scream out before her hooves leave the cliffs edge. “Don’t jump…”

She looks at me with sad eyes and looks back to the cliff. “Doctor…” She whispers so quietly I can barely hear her.

“Yes Derpy,” I answer back.

“I’m so sorry…” She says and walks off. I gasp and run up to her. I grab her hoof before she completely falls.

“You can’t do this Derpy, everyone needs you! I need you…” I whisper the last part but she still hears me.

“Doctor, let go of me I need to do this.” Derpy says sternly. She looks down at me with such sadness in her eyes. She can’t do this!

“I can’t let go of you Derpy, I just can’t,” My eyes are filling with more and more tears. “Can you please just rethink this? You don’t have to do this! Everyone cares about you, I care about you! Think about Dinky and Sparkler! Where will they go? Carrot Top and I can’t take care of them! What will they do when they see you’re gone?” I see she’s starting to cry and I see regret written on her face.

She starts to slip and I sense her tense up with panic. “Doctor! H-Help me up! I-I’m so sorry! I wasn’t thinking correctly! I’m sorry!” She keeps apologizing to me as I help her up. She almost slipped. I noticed her wings were tied to her torso. I guess so her instincts wouldn’t make her wings open.

“Derpy calm down. No one got hurt, thankfully. I got you, you won’t fall. I won’t let you,” I reassure her. She starts crying really hard and I am trying to stay strong for her. I don’t like to see her like this. Honestly, it breaks my hearts.

Once I pull her up I see instant relief in her face. She looks at me with… Love? Yes, love in her eyes.

“Doctor, I need to tell you something,” She whispers quietly as her cheeks turn a soft pink.

“Yes Derpy, you can tell me anything,” I reply just as quietly as she was.

“I-I love you Doctor…” She says as her cheeks turn a bright red.

“I love you too Derpy,” I reply as my cheeks turn a bit pink as well. We both start leaning in as our lips meet in the middle. After a few seconds we both forget we need air and we pull apart.

“Doctor, I’m so sorry I caused all this trouble. I promise I won’t try to take my life ever again,” She says softly.

“Oh, it’s quite alright! I mean, I understand you weren’t doing so well with the bullying and I am sorry it went this far. I should have talked to them,” I reply with slight regret.

“Don’t blame yourself. I shouldn’t have been so sensitive,” She sighs and looks away. “How could I have ever thought to leave Dinky or Sparkler? Or… You…”

“No, what they said was harmful. Even to someone as strong as you. Derpy, you had a reason to act the way you did. But you have to remember that there are those who care for you,” I try to cheer her up. “Come on, we should get back to the TARDIS so I can bring you to Dinky and Sparkler, I can tell you want to see them,”

“Yeah, I do.” She replies with a bit of hope in her eyes. “Hey Doctor. So, Does this mean we are dating?” Her cheeks redden again.

“I guess it does Derpy, I guess it does,” I say with a bright smile. I am the luckiest stallion in the world to have this bubbly mare by my side. I promise to protect and listen to her no matter what.

We start walking back through the forest, with so much hope because of this one mare. Her eyes are as bright as they used to be, and hopefully her scars will go away. The bullies will learn their lesson once I get a hold of them. No one deserves to be hurt like that. No one, not even the worst of people, or ponies. Especially someone as wonderful as Derpy. She has made everyone happy her whole life, she is also a magnificent mother of two. Now, she is my marefriend, and I will keep it that way for as long as I can. Life will get better. I promise it will, Derpy. I promise.
