Celestia is dead, and so is her assailant...or...is he?

The Death of Celestia released a force stronger than anypony had seen before, a maddened psychopath. Upon his return he crosses the site of a suicide, seeing the stallion upon the ground he rejuvinates him. The stallion despises him for reviving him to the infernal hell he'd just escaped. But he thirsted for vengence once again.
Sequel to Luna's Vengeful Protege by Dr.Bob
I'm doing a thing by having, 'regular chapters' where most chapters will only vary in the amount of words slightly
okay, that's B.S. The chapters will vary greatly.

But some chapters are short, I'll get more serious with this another time.

I'm going to go through and revamp the chapters.
The ballad of discord will be combined eventually so the chapters will probably get taken down.

The Fall of an Assailant

Nopony will ever understand. That thought ran through his mind, again and again, as he took a single step forward and claimed one final life...

Hunter awoke once more, a strange red alicorn before him, he rubbed his eyes, but it was all true. He was alive once again. He cursed the red Alicorn for bringing him back to the world that spited him. Everypony he knew would die, and everypony he'd respected would abandon him. But besides hating him for bringing him back to life, he felt a familiar urge, one of vengence and retribution. I'll get Luna for abandonning me the stallion thought to himself, I will make her pay for this treachery.

The large alicorn smiled at the stallion, "Your blade thirsts for blood once again, does it not?" the alicorn said to him in a gravely voice much like his own.

Hunter looked at him, "Everypony I'd trusted abandoned me and left me to die in a world that despises me. What makes you think I would trust you," Hunter said with spite in his voice

The red alicorn laughed, "Because like you, I was betrayed by everyone I trusted. But then again surely you've heard of me no?" The alicorn moved around in an unsteady pattern, as if in a state of dismay.

Hunter squinted, "No, and if you've got a point, you better damn well make it right now. Because my blade thirsts for blood, and if you continue to piss me off, it's yours it will taste." he replied increasingly agitated by being revived after knowingly, and willingly killing himself.

The red alicorn's eyes widened, "I get to teach you something then? Oh goody, i've been dreadfully out of contact for the past 1376 years, you must excuse my dismay. I have not seen anypony for years. But did you know that the great Princess Celestia is dead?" The red alicorn's eyes pulsated with excitement.

Hunter nodded, "Yes, I was her assailant. She'd left me for dead over a thousand years ago, and I returned the favour to the bitch," he replied. "Now unless that was your point, you'd better hurry up before you get a nice snug fitting of my hoof up your ass!" he remarked.

The alicorn's eyes lit up, "You singlehoovedly killed the 'great' Celestia! Oh even better! Forgive me, but I am going to need your name. If you just must know, my name is Eclipse. A bringer of madness, but not chaos. No I leave that up to my friend." Eclipse chuckled slightly.

Hunter sterned his look, "Why in the hell would I give you my goddamn name? Riddle me that you stupid son of a bitch!" Hunter's remarks got increasingly angered and cruel. As Hunter himself became utterly irate.

Eclipse smiled, "To recruit you! I've been looking for a protege, and you haven't heard of me, so that's a good start. We have something to converse about!" he was cut abruptly by an outburst from Hunter.

"GET TO THE GODDAMN POINT ALREADY! I'M TIRED OF LISTENING TO YOU BABBLE ON LIKE A DUMBASS!" Hunter's tone was furious, no, completely irate. Hunter's expression was not one of interest, but one of a mix of anger, despair, and desire for his retribution.

Eclipse scoffed slightly, "I'm not surprised my sister's would hide my existance. After seeing what she'd do to me, it's no wonder she'd leave everypony out to die." Eclipse finished changing to a more serious tone, now looking straight at Hunter himself.

Hunter's expression changed to a puzzled look, "Who exactly are you talking about. If you were a Royal, surely I'd have heard about you!" Hunter didn't believe what Eclipse was saying. He thought Eclipse was just blowing smoke.

Eclipse chuckled, "All part of my sisters' little conspiracy. Keep me hidden to, 'avoid panic amonst ponies.'" Eclipse trotted around angrilly now. "They only banished me because I am stronger, they fear me. And Celestia would be rolling in her grave if anypony ever found out. But here we are, talking, both harboring that desire for retribution we've awaited for so long! And no pony can stop us, me and you kid! We'd be unstoppable!" Eclipse moved closer to Hunter.

Hunter just glanced at Eclipse, not sure of what he wanted, but one thing was certain, he was strong looking. But Hunter couldn't bear to have himself abondoned again, so he swiftly turned. And backed away from Eclipse slowly

Eclipse followed him, "You do want retribution for what your 'leader' has done to you right? Given you a deed, then abandoned you? I won't do the same, me and you could rule Equestria together, you being higher then I of course." Eclipse smiled, "Are you in, or not?" Eclipse finally inquired.

Hunter looked reluctantly back and forth. He finally sighed and replied, "Fine, but do the same, I will personnally skin your hide. Comprende?" Hunter said sternly

Eclipse smiled, "I've got it, now come. We're going to pay my friend a little visit."

Symphony of Despair

Hunter reluctantly followed closely behind Eclipse, as he pass by all of the very structures he once knew were graffitid and mostly in rubble. How long exactly was I dead he thought to himself. A familiar scenario from his childhood, rubble, crimson stains upon the ground, and bodies of ponies, and ponies left out to simply die. Luna, his once trusted leader, has abandoned everypony, just as Celestia had abandoned him.

Eclipse stopped, causing Hunter to run into him. But after a few seconds he returned to reality, snapping from his thoughts. Eclipse lightly smiled, "Oh Twilight Sparkle, where arrreee yoooou?" He said in a sing-songy tone.

A small voice replied, "When does the madman march?" she asked, mystifying Hunter in the perceivingly clever riddle.

Eclipse smiled and replied, "When good ol' Big Ben chimes, halfway to midnight."

The voice replied, "Correct, now part two." The pony cleared her throat, "Where is the sound coming from, and what does it sound like?"

Hunter baffled by the riddle and codes they'd created, couldn't follow anything of what was going on. So he just sat back and listened to them answer each other.

Eclipse chuckled, "There under the floorboard, it's the sound of the beating of his hideous heart. Beating like the sound a watch makes when enveloped in cotton." As he finished that a door opened slowly, and a lavender unicorn gestured them inside. "After you Hunter," Eclipse said pushing the lost stallion inside the door frame.

Once inside the door slammed, and all that was heard was the echo of clicking locks. That radiated throughout the hollowed-out tree.

Eclipse approached the lavender unicorn and began speaking to her, "What's the report from Canterlot? Is anything salvagable there?" Eclipse's voice shifting into a business type tone, one that was a 'no bullshit' kind of thing.

The lavender pony looked down, "Unfortunately not, Luna's troops destroyed it when forcing everypony out of the city. But everything can be rebuilt, but it will take time. We need Luna, taken care of..." The lavender unicorn moved over to Hunter examining him slowly, "Who's the new guy?" she inquired softly.

Eclipse suddenly remembering, "Ah yes! Hunter, this is Twilight Sparkle, Twilight Sparkle, this is Hunter." Eclipse pushed Hunter closer to Twilight and gestured him to shake her hoof and say something.

Hunter opened his mouth, "Hello Twilight, nice to meet you, i suppose. Given the circumstances, you're all lucky to be alive." Hunter said with the same melancholy monotone gravely voice of his.

Twilight lightly smiled, "We owe our survival to Eclipse here. He saved us from Luna's troops, when we took our trip to Canterlot, unfotunately they got my faithful assistant Spike. We couldn't save him, and the remaining troops took his body away. With his bones we can revive him, but it will take more energy, to form new mucsle and tissue and cells of all kinds." Twilight moved to the bookshelves now half empty, or half full. "I used to be Celestia's 'Faithful student' but then i found she just wanted me away so she could destroy Equestria piece by piece." Twilight's tone changed to a weeping, but infuriated tone. "I will never again serve Celestia, her name disgusts me, and her morals, simply misguided." she finally finished

Hunter couldn't control his outburst, "I was with Luna, and after finishing my deed assassinating Celestia, and for so many years I awaited Luna to embrace me back. But no, she threw me out like common garbage! Now my very blade is out for the taste of Luna's blood, I hunger for retribution. I will not be stopped in my quest to destroy Princess Luna!" He noticed his voice had gotten loud and echoed throughout the hollow library, and he immediately quieted, no longer uttering a peep.

Twilight's eyes brightened, "Eclipse, this is exactly the stallion we were looking for! His anger, his desire for revenge! Not to mention his connections with Luna! This is exactly what we've been looking for. But he's probably rusty, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, and Rarity should be able to help you. They're in what remains of Carousel Boutique, they'll ask, 'When does the madman speak?' and you'll reply..." Twilight was cut off.

Hunter replied, "A quarter to three, shall the madman speak to me."

Twilight smiled, "Great, you've got it. the next part is, 'What is secured in the pipe?'" she finished.

Hunter stayed quiet, not being able to answer this one. Slightly embarrassed after answering a question before perfectly.

Twilight chuckled heartily, but softly and replied, "You will reply, 'Amontillado' okay?" Her smile connecting her cheeks in a way that was somewhat comforting. "Now go, if anypony asks. This meeting never, ever happened!" she opened the door letting the two stallions out of the library, and receded back inside, with only the noticable click of the locks.

Eclipse moved towards Hunter, "come, we have much to accomplish young one. You're very strong and determined, but your skills are rusty. You must train, go seek the ponies. You musn't forget the passcodes." Eclipse said now walking away and condesing in a thick cloud of smoke and floating off.

Hunter nodded slightly, and made his way to the ponies. Prepared for the worst possible situation available.

Hunter made his way, looking around the detroyed buildings. Though most of the wrting on them said 'LUNA FTW', and 'WHERE'S MY SALVATION BITCH!' Most of them were just a disarray of madness with absolutely no ryhme or reason to them. As if everypony had gone insane and lost all ability to make sense. Though they were all enough to make him chuckle, except ones supporting Luna which he immediately proceeded to punch holes through every time he saw one.

Luna's troops hadn't left much of the place, whilst they were inside, it appears that Luna's troops collected the bodies and piled them in a corner, or shoved them on sticks showcasing them about as 'intimidation factor.' Hunter's face alone would be enough to make anypony feel uncomfortable, Hunter was not a pony you want to mess with, and it definately showed in his eyes. Ever his yeras in suspension, he had a lot of time to think, contemplating his entire existance. And in that last fateful moment when he leapt off the edge of his balcony, he'd given up all hope. Thought that everypony in Equestria would never understand him, and still he believed it, though he was starting to believe that this was his true calling, to survive to take both of the Princess sisters to their knees, and ultimately, to their deaths,

He finally came upon a mostly intact building with a sign that lazily hung slightly broken and hanging to the left. All it read was, 'Car sel B ut que' though he connected the dots rather quickly than he'd expected himself to. His expectations for himself were low, but they were getting gradually higher at every turn. He knocked loudly on the door, the knock booming throughout the mostly empty building.

A crisp, southern voice answered asking the code question, "When does tha madman speak?"

Hunter replied confidently, "A quarter to three, the madman soeaks to me." backing away from the door slowly as gestured by the mare.

She chuckled, "What does tha pipe hold?" she inquired again, not expecting an answer from the lost looking pony. Waiting for him to mess up, so they can 'rough him up' a little.

Hunter smirked, "Amotillado," he replied arrogantly, shocking the mare as she opened the door swiftly gesturing him inside, looking around for anypony suspicious looking.

The mare closed the door and locked it, the same click of the locks echoing worse in here than in the library, though this place was mostly empty. The place had been looted, but apparently with Eclipse present, the troops gave the town a wide berth. Afraid of what the 'Maddened pony' would do to them. Hunter started imagining all of the horrible things Eclipse could do if her wanted to, he could kill anypony in front of him. Using a swift pulse of magic to destroy all of us, everypony in all of Equestria.

Hunter was snapped from his thoughts by the southern, orange earth mare, "So, Twi' sent ya' huh? I'd reckon they picked a strong one, he ain't the most flourescent bulb in tha box. Names, Applejack, that there's Rainbow Dash," she said pointing to a pegasus with a rainbow mane, and a cast aroung her wing, "And that there's Rarity," she said pointing to a white unicorn with a purple twisting mane, which had obviously seen better days.

Hunter looked around, slowly easing into his situation, "I'm Hunter, I was more so sent by Eclipse. He found me after I leapt from my balcony. Hoping to end my worthless existance, but unfortunately, fate can be cruel. I now know, I'm not meant to die. I'm meant to rule Equestria the right way, and I will never, i repeat, never leave anypony in need I know I can help to die in the same indescent way I was left to die by everypony's precious little 'Celestia.' I shall do whatever it takes to make all right in Equestria." Hunter was impressesed with how he was talking, he'd never said so much to anypony he didn't know, he'd only spoken that much to his former leader, friend, and instructor, and new target, Luna.

Rarity smiled, "That's the kind of spirit we need around here. We'd be proud to serve someone of your stature, but you're here to work on your battle techniques, no?" Rarity said with a giggle at the end

Hunter nodded, and broke his tough guy look, by cracking a smile. Aware of what he'd done, he retracted the smile, once again frowning, and drowning out all emotiong with the anguish and anger he felt deep within him, coursing throughout his mind.

Rainbow Dash went up to Hunter, "Alright Hunter, You will listen to exactly what I say..err...what we say. Got it?" she said trying to sound tough, though finding it hard without her wings she usually used to visually express.

Hunter nodded, "Yes Ma'am, I will do whatever you say. For the sake of Equestria, for the sake of the retribution of everypony wrongly killed, and wrongly brought into the sister's quarrel." He stood firmly, standing his ground menacingly.

"Excellent," all three of the mares said. "Let's get you started on it then."
