A couple of months have gone by coming close to Hearth’s Warming Eve today, this wouldn't be much of a problem for some ponies. Click on the other hoof he has yet to tell any pony that he grew up as an orphan, he wanted to tell Ditzy but he didn't want to worry her over it since he thought she would go see her family, a knock at his door stopped any of his current thoughts as he went to answer it.
He found Ditzy standing at his door way with a scarf wrapped around her neck and a smile on her face.
“Hello Click!” Ditzy said with the smile.
“Oh, hello Ditzy what brings you around here today?”Click smiled and stepped aside for her to come in.
Ditzy walked in to his home as Click closed the door
“Have any plans for Hearth’s Warming Eve?” Ditzy asked Click.
“W-well I do what I do every Hearth’s Warming Eve make myself some hot coco and sit in front of a fire.” Click said with a sad smile.
“What about your family Click?” Ditzy asked seeming a bit concerned.
Click sighed to himself lightly as he hung his head some.
“I guess I had to tell some pony at sometime, Ditzy...... I don't......I......I don't have a family to spend Hearth’s Warming Eve with....I was an orphan.” Click slowly sat on his rear as his ears fell back.
Ditzy softly gasped as she slowly walked over to him and sat in front of him.
“Click, can I spend my Hearth’s Warming Eve with you?” Ditzy asked him with a soft smile on her face.
“B-but Ditzy what of your family???” Click looked to her as his ears perked up.
“I've spent many Hearth’s Warming Eves with my parents..... I 'm sure they will understand when I write to them that some pony else needs some pony with them.”Ditzy softly pulled Click into a hug.
“I-I.....thank you Ditzy.” Click rested his head onto her shoulder as she smiled.
The two finally moved away to the living room as Click left to go make two mugs of fresh hot coco while Ditzy slowly laid down by the fireplace. Click slowly walked in with a tray in his mouth with the two mugs as he rested it on the floor by Ditzy, while he came to her other side and laid beside her with a smile. They laughed as they talked over good times, even some of the bad.
“Happy Hearth’s Warming Eve Ditzy.” Click said softly smiling at the mare.
“Happy Hearth’s Warming Eve too you to Click.” Ditzy said to him in return.
“Click?” Ditzy looked over at Click with a blush on her cheeks.
“Yes Ditzy?” Click said tilting his head a bit.
“I...I think I 'm ready” Ditzy said as the blush grew.
Click just stared wide eyed with a blush on his cheeks.
“A-are you s-sure Ditzy??” Click asked staring at the mare with a smile.
Ditzy didn't answer she just tucked her head under Click's chin, Click responded in kind as he draped his wing over the mare.
“Thank you Click....for waiting.” Ditzy said softly.
“D-Ditzy.. would you make me the happiest and luckiest stallion in Equesrtia by being my special some pony?” Click knew the answer he just wanted to ask.
“I-I will, but I 'm the happiest and luckiest mare in Equestria to meet a gentle stallion like you Click.” Ditzy smiled with a blush as she looked up at Click who was blushing deeply to what she said.
Click simply smiled as he leaned over and kissed the mare's forehead, Ditzy returned the gesture with a kiss onto his cheek. The two cuddled close in front of the fireplace, they both nodded off in each others cuddled embrace. Slowly morning had come and Ditzy was long gone to do her morning mail routes as Click slowly rose with a blanket on his back.
“Ditzy?” Click looked around till he spotted a note and began to read it out loud.
“Had to leave for morning mail routes, lots of letters being sent and packages see you later today, Click Muffin <3” Click smiled as he set the note aside.
“Best..Hearth’s Warming Eve ever” Click said with a grin.
Click decided to see how other ponies were so he got his scarf around his neck along with his camera and saddlebags. He started to walk along the road before he stopped and sat on the road looking around taking a deep breath, before a voice came from nowhere scaring him senesless.
“ATTENTION!!!” The voice yelled out as Click just straightens up saulting with his hoof.
Before Click came to his senses the cyan mare in the cloud above him was rolling around laughing her cutie mark off, Applejack was soon walking up along the path with a glare on her face towards the cyan mare.
“Rainbow, ya done near scared poor Click half to death!” Applejack said as she looked at Click while Rainbow Dash landed by Applejack.
“Oh, lighten up cowpony it was just a little prank.” Rainbow Dash grumbled a bit under her breath.
“Sorry about her Click are ya'll alright sugercube?” Applejack asked Click who only nodded before smiling.
“I-I 'm fine Applejack... uh how was your Hearth’s Warming Eve with Rainbow Dash?” Click said with a small grin as Rainbow Dash blushed before kicking a pebble on the road.
“It was just dandy!” Applejack leaned over and softly kissed Rainbow Dash's cheek before she asked.
“ W-wait A.J how does he know about us!?!? did you tell him???” Rainbow Dash exclaimed as she stared at the orange mare.
“She did ….sort of and i'm happy for you two!” Click answered her question.
“How about yer's Click?” Applejack asked Click who started to blush.
“I-I..well got to spend it with the mare of my dreams and... she is my special some pony!” Click grinned at the mares as he blushed.
“No kidding, who is the mare Click? Do I know her??” Rainbow Dash said with a sly grin on her face.
“Rainbow ya do know her, its Ditzy!” Applejack said as the cyan mare looked at her with wide eyes.
“Y-yea.” Click said as he kicked a pebble.
“Well where is that mare anyway?” Rainbow Dash said as she looked around with a smile.
“O-oh, she is doing the mail I 'm sure there is a bunch of mail to be sent out with it being Hearth’s Warming Eve and all, she said she would be back around later so I'll make her a surprise before she gets back! “ Click said as he smiled at the pair.
“Sappy stuff!” Rainbow grinned as Applejack butted in.
“Ah think its really sweet of ya sugercube, just like Rainbow's gift to me with the two hearted necklaces.” Applejack smirked as she saw the cyan mare look away blushing as she mumbled something.
Click waved goodbye to the pair as they walked off toward Sweet Apple Acres while Click walked into Ponyville to the Sugercube Corner to ask Pinkie on how to bake and make some muffins. What seemed a few hours Click finally left with his saddlebags filled with items and a catchy little tune Pinkie sang as she taught him how to bake the muffins.
Click made his way into the kitchen and started hard at work on making the best darn muffins he could, he knew that Ditzy loved blueberry muffins, an hour later Click setting up some things in his living room like a kettle with hot coco in it with the tray full of heart shaped blueberry muffins.
“ I know she will just love this!!” Click said to himself and just then a knock was at the door.
“That must be her!” Click trotted to the door and opened it.
“ Hello Click Muffin” Ditzy said with a smiled as she nuzzled his cheek before walking in.
“ Hello Ditzy..Muffin.” Click said as he smiled closing the door.
“ Click do I smell muffins?” Ditzy asked.
“Not just any muffins Ditzy, blue berry heart shaped muffins with hot coco." Click said with a smile.
“Awww, you made me my muffins?” Ditzy smiled as she stepped to Click nuzzling his cheek.
“Well I had a little help from Pinkie to learn how to cook them!” Clicks gently kissed her forehead and smiled.
“All of this just to welcome me back? “ Ditzy asked with a smile.
“Of course you are my special some pony after all!” Click said with a sweet smile.
What caught Click by surprise was that Ditzy leaned in and gently kissed him on the lips, Click had no idea how to react but to slowly relax into the kiss as he softly returned the kiss. The kiss seemed to last for hours, but it was only for several moments till they broke the kiss leaving both ponies blushing.
“I...I should bake muffins more often if thats the reward!” Click said softly as his blush grew.
This caused Ditzy to giggle as both ponies walked into the living room to be in each others embrace while they enjoyed the muffins and each others company.
“ Ditzy..... I love you” Click said to her with a soft smile.
“ I love you too Click Muffin!” Ditzy smiled as she tucked her head under Click's chin,
The two laid on the couch in each others embrace not caring what went on in the world around them for the moment, as long as they had each other they were happy.
