"RAINBOW DASH I NEED YOUR HELP ITS AN EMERGENCY!!!" The rainbowed maned mare Glanced up quickly from her daring do comic surprised at her sudden arrival. "What's wrong shy" Rainbow dash looked mildly concerned it wasn't everyday that fluttershy burst through your door screaming for help "oh i'm sorry dashie I didn't mean to startle you I better go" Fluttershy turned and began to walk out with her head low to the ground when she heard her name "Fluttershy for pete's sake you been running all 'round ponyville what's gotten into you" Applejack quickly entered the cyan mares home with a scowl "oh i'm sorry I was just leavi-" Fluttershy was cut off by the clearly annoyed mare "OH no ya don't sugarcube you're gonna tell me and Rainbow Dash what the hay's going on 'round here, you been runnin' 'round like chicken with... er never mind just tell us what's a matter" "oh... ok if you insist" Fluttershy a looked a bit upset at the near slip of that terrible analogy but, she continued anyway. "I was in the everfree when I heard an animal in pain. It sounded miserable so, I rushed over her to get help! oh I hope it's OK" "Then what are we waiting for girls, lets get a move on theres a innocent forest creature that needs our help!"
Rainbow dash flew out the door followed closely by Fluttershy bringing up the rear was Applejack as Fluttershy approached the border of the forest she glanced back seeing her friends following her closely as she touched down.The cries of the animal were long and, mournful but, also so garbled that they couldn't be identified. "well sugarcube I hear it but I don't see it" "over here!!!"
Looking up at the sky rainbow dash was hovering over a spot of particularly dense foliage, rushing to the scene they saw a sorry sight... It was a young timber wolf ,in its prime it, and it had been caught in some snares not only that but, it was burned black by a fire had recently, been in a large scuffle ,there were bite marks riddling the wood of its makeup, and, a large chunk of its face was badly rotted by water damage as well. The beast looked completely insane and, rage,if anything, was all it knew. Fluttershy approached timidly trying to sooth the creature with her calming voice. The creatures only response was a bloodcurdling roar as foam rushed from its mouth its green eyes flickering, it was in its death throes. "Fluttershy sugarcube maybe we should leave it be " Applejack gulped then quickly added. "Let it die in peace" Fluttershy hated that word "But what if I can help shouldn't I try" "But what if he bites you! I think he might have somethin'! " "W- well maybe but I have to try he need hel-"
However good fluttershy's intentions were they were cut off as the wolf broke free violently snapping down on her outstretched hoof. Things happened quickly after that, Rainbow dash smashed the entirety of the creatures body with one flying buck from the air and the creature's body burst into splinter and twigs.then AJ pried the still living head from Fluttershy's hoof hurling it into a nearby tree and watching it turn into shattered hunks and splinters like the body. a green smoke emanated from the still semi magical wreckage of the creature. fluttershy began to sob and the life force of the magical creature gave out and, it ceased to smoke and, exist becoming a simple pile of rotted wood "FLUTTERSHY ARE YOU OK!!!" Two concerned mares cried out in unison.
Tears filled the good hearted ponies eyes as the pain set in her hoof was marked with the slimy wooden tooth marks of the timber wolf as she cried the tomboyish ponies tried to comfort her the best they could blood oozed shiny dark and red from the wound ruining what would otherwise be a seamless grace "Aww c'mon partner it'll be alright" "Yea Shy we'll get you down to Ponyville medical center in ten seconds flat" "Hold on now and 'git up on my back" after several failed attempts AJ knelt down while RD helped her on top "y'all get up there sugarcube" "ye- y- yes" "Alright then! lets get a move on! YEEHAW!!!"
The two friends took off towards the hospital with fluttershy in tow.When they arrived at the hospital fluttershy was immediately rushed to the back to because of blood loss. the rest of her friends went about their business as best they could for a couple hours pacing in the waiting room, begging for updates, and talking about oatmeal and, blueberries or at least pinkie was. finally she emerged ,her right fore hoof bandaged, with a doctor pony and nurse redheart following close behind. "Now just remember dear get plenty of bed rest drink lots of fluid and stay off that hoof for a while." "Yes doctor but who will help take care of my animals while I'm getting back on my hooves?" "we will of course!" Pinkie Pie piped up "Oh thats so sweet but I could never ask any of you to help I better just do it on my own." "Nonsense darling as your friends we will not only be there for your animals but for you in your time of need." "Oh thats alright i'm sure angel can take care of me and-" "Nonsense darling we insist!" "But-" "We insist."
She could see the desire to help in each of their eyes and it warmed her heart despite all the hardship her friends were always there to help her when she's down she smiled wide not noticing the way her eye had just twitched "Ok Rarity I expect you to be at my cottage early tomorrow morning we have a very busy day" "oh darling I just can't wait!!!" Smiling the friends said their goodbyes and, parted off to home Rainbowdash personally escorted Fluttershy to her door. "Goodnight Shy!" "Goodnight Dashie!"
Fluttershy glanced around the interior of her cottage she was feeling rather off ever since that nasty timber wolf had gotten ahold of her. she smiled as her animal friends greeted her. she was about to begin her nightly routine of feeding the animals when, she remembered what the doctor had said about her hoof. she frowned. she really did need to feed her animals and, her friends were all going to do their part in the coming weeks so, she sighed and, motioned for angel to come forward the bunny came forward with his characteristic frown of discontent. "Angel could you help mama with the chores tonight mama hurt her hoof while she was out and needs to stay off it all she can to help it heal." Angel of course grimaced at the idea but, glancing at the hoof it looked quite nasty so, he gave little argument and, shook his head begrudgingly. "oh thank you so much angel! Let's get started- if thats ok with you of course." The small bunny shook his head vigorously. Angel never really did care for Fluttershy's pushover nature but, he loved her none the less and, therefore did mostly everything.He let Fluttershy do the bare minimum, just enough to let her think she was doing her job but no more. Afterwards she drew herself a warm bath and soaked for a hour or 2 reading a bad romance novel but, even this proved too much she had trouble focusing on any one word and kept seeing things jump at the very edge of her vision. She finally came to the conclusion that she needed some sleep 'The Mating Game' could wait for tomorrow. She got up shakily and got up out of the tub letting the water drain, as she walked down the hall things began to cast odd shadows but before she could be bothered too much sleepiness took over. She clicked off the lamp letting the darkness roll in. She descended into a peaceful sleep and into a strange dream she was in a pure white expanse. there was endless white in all directions it was hard to look at without squinting eventually, the timid pegasus began to trot forward zeroing in on the only differing thing in the desert of conscience. There was a strange sapling planted ,it was a tree sapling, but, it was rather odd looking each leaf was blackened burnt and, the tree itself looked blistered by fire although it emanated no heat but, when her light breath fell upon it sparks flew out like it had recently been aflame. She nervously poked at it and soothing voice could be heard. "Hello there young one who are you" "I- m- my names Fluttershy. who are you- if you don't mind me asking what's your name?" "I'm a lonely spirit some call me rabby I have no friend's or family i'm so lonely do you ever get lonely fluttershy" "sometimes..." "Then maybe we could keep each other company would you like to be friends miss Fluttershy." the pegasus felt at ease around the voice and, she smiled. "I think that i'd like that very much Mr Rabby." "Thank you very much you are a very kind young mare but it is now time to awaken my dear but don't despair you can always hear me should I have something to say..." "Oh ok goodbye Mr Rabby!"
Fluttershy awoke slowly her mane and coat were drenched in sweat and she felt aches all over as well as a pounding headache she got up shakily throwing the sweat soaked sheets to the side, they smelled right nasty. She trotted lazily over to the bathroom door and, opened it with more than a little trouble finally closing her hoof around the knob. She entered grabbing some headache medicine from her cabinet. She then proceeded to take begin to adjust the knobs carefully setting it to very hot. the shy kind mare sighed as the hot water rushed over her. It felt nice, like a sauna. As the nights hard sweats drained away, she slowly relaxed herself. After what awhile she heard a knock at the door. she jumped in surprise knocking over quite a few bottles of soap as she hurriedly put on a bathrobe and, trotted quickly down the stairs. She smiled a little after hearing a familiar voice "Darling are you quite alright in there I heard something fall!" Fluttershy opened the door smiling glad to see a friend "I'm fine rarity I just got out of the shower and some bottles fell" "Oh I thought perhaps you may have fallen due to your hurt leg" Fluttershy glanced down at her cast not daring put a ounce of weight on her hurt leg "No it still hurts though..." "Give it time darling you'll heal up and before you know at all you'll be right back out there" Rarity smiled optimistically while Fluttershy still looked doubtful "if you say so Rarity..." "Oh Fluttershy don't look so hopeless darling everypony hurts themselves every now and then!" Rarity put a comforting hoof on Fluttershy's shoulder and Fluttershy felt her spirits rise a peek "come now darling there is much work to be done!" After rarity had said that she set to work her horn glowing and, heating up as she did most of her chores with magic to abstain from being dirty by the end. As rarity turned Fluttershy's house into a scene from fantasia Fluttershy scrambled from place to place but the precisity of rarity's magic kept Fluttershy from doing much but sit and shift uncomfortably the smell of singed horn filled the small cottage but what made Fluttershy the most uncomfortable ,other than not being the sole provider for her animals, wasn't the fact that rarity was over exerting herself and burning her horn. The thing that bothered her is that she didn't feel the need to stop her she felt no empathy for her. After all she wouldn't let her help in anyway so why should she care. her usually heavy conscience was no where to be found. finally she almost snapped out of it when she began to salivate from the smell of cooked horn but, it was to late rarity had just finished when a loud CRACK sounded and, the last few items dropped as rarity clutched her horn. Her first instinct was to jump into action but using her broken hoof as a excuse she took her sweet time getting there watching rarity wiggle squirm and, cry in pain as she approached with a sick little smile so unlike her. the Pegasus she stood over top of rarity. "could you help me up darling I'm afraid I may have used a little more magic then I intended to" Fluttershy grimaced she didn't wan't to help she wanted to see her squirm. "I'm sorry rarity I tried to warn you but you probably couldn't hear me" Fluttershy extended her hurt hoof and then let out a pretend cry of pain an took it away. "Oh Fluttershy do forgive me while I have been caught in my predicament I seem to have completely forgotten about your's" suddenly Fluttershy came back to reality just as she was thinking of how she should drag her sniveling flank by the horn into the basement and beat her within a inch of her life for being so foalish as to have forgotten about her hoof. "Oh- oh my rarity of course I can!" she helped rarity to her hooves the mare surprised at fluttershy's change of heart about helping her! "th- thank you darling I'll be alright would you like to take a trip to the spa with me they may be able to help both of us now" Fluttershy nods genuinely glad not just to go to the spa but, because she wasn't getting the urge to torture and mame her longtime friend.she follows rarity out the door and, over to the spa. "here we are darling!"
