Twilight sparkle has been working very hard perfecting new spells since she has become an allicorn. She's mastered time travel spells, attack, and defense spells, musical spells, and spells that can change you into anything for 5 hours, but she would never prepare for what would happen when she discovered the "forever young" spell.
"Spike can you get me that new book Celestia sent me I would really like to read it!" shouted twilight
Spike came into the room and handed the book to twilight, "What do you think is in it twilight?" asked Spike. It was a raggedy old book with cobwebs, and dust on each page. The whole book was black besides for the strange markings on it. Inside was very old paper with strange markings all over the place.
"I don't know Spike it's hard to read, but I'm going to find out!.... after I straighten it up a bit." Twilight grinned." She went off to get her dust cleaner she knew the book was old, and delicate, she knew Spike could handle cleaning it, but Twilight just wanted to make sure it would be extra safe.
After awhile of cleaning the book it was finally done, and she could make out the strange markings, they were chants back in the 15th century of Equestria while "Witchicorns" were still around. Very strange it didn't seem to make sense to Twilight why Celestia would send this to her.
Spike came into the room with a letter from the princess it read. "Dear Twilight sparkle, this is princess Luna, I hope you got the book I sent you it's very important that you figure out the spell on page 34, it is a forever young spell I promised a very close friend I would help her use it, but I need someone with your skill to help me pull it off see I can't decipher what it says, and a little caution it only works once and can only be done by alicorns, after it is done once on whoever you use it on you can never undo it or go back in time to stop yourself from doing it since it was such an old spell used by "witchicorns" to put curses on young ponies so they would never stop seeing there loved ones die, I am truly sorry I have to put such a heavy burden on you Twilight, but I owe it to my friend she saved my life once, and this is what she wants in return I must accept her wishes."
As Twilight finished reading the letter she never questioned it and got right to work. "Spike send a letter to Princess Luna tell her I'm working on it right away."

2 Weeks later.
Twilight was exhausted she lie in her bed thinking of all the time she missed with her friends, but she knew that she had to help Luna. "Done finally." Twilight said "Spike take a letter."
"Dear princess Luna, I know how to cast the spell now it was a hard process, but I'm finally done I am going to rest now talk to ya later." With that Spike finished the letter with how to do the spell and Twilight fell asleep. Twilight was having a nightmare from no lack of sleep for so long while helping Luna. Dreams of herself being a "witchicorn". After fighting off many men with her magic she put a curse on a man in the dream. What she didn't... couldn't realize was that she was doing the one time only spell on herself.
A flash a green and purple burst ed out of Twilight's room and woke up Spike. "Are you o.k Twilight? TWILIGHT!"
Twi was shaking fiercely still asleep not knowing what was going on when she woke up... it was too late.
(5 years later)
Twilight never spoke a word to anyone about what had happen that fateful night, the fear of them being upset that they have to die and she gets to live forever she couldn't bear that her friends would be mad at her, and have to die, but that time comes and there's nothing anyone can do to stop it.
"Hiya Twilight how are ya today." said Apple Jack as she lay next to Twilight. They were at the Pony-ville lake.
"I am fine A.J. nice day beautiful clouds it's always nice while RD is working I think she makes the days she works on extra nice just for us she is such a good friend."
After awhile of enjoying the view and warm rays of sun on there faces a rainbow appeared in the sky. Rainbow dash might seem tough, but she is so nice and warm hearted.
Twilight went from smiling to frowning. "Applejack..."
"Yeah sugarcube."
Twilight was almost crying. "Well if I tell you something will you promise not to get mad or tell anybody else?"
"What is it Twilight?" A.J had a disgruntled, confused look.
"Well 5 years ago I was on an assignment from Luna I needed to decipher a spell for her... Well when I finished, I fell asleep I was having nightmares, and...." Twilight was crying silently taking deep breathes after each word. "I didn't mean to!, but I put the spell on myself in my sleep."
"Well sugarcube why are you crying, why would I be mad at that." said A.J confused again.
"The spell it was... it..."
Applejack moved in close and put her arm around Twi, looking into her eyes. "Yes?"
"It was a forever young spell..."
"What in tar nation does that mean Twilight?"
"It means.... I will have to live forever like this... I'll have to watch all of my friends... die."
The sudden realization hit both of them. Applejack had a tear in her eye, looking away from Twilight she pushed herself away. With anger, and sadness in her voice.
"Twilight your joking right tell me your joking." Twilight could hear the terrified voice mixed with anger, hate, sadness, and confusion.
"No." Was all Twi could choke out before losing it. Apple Jack ran home without another word. I don't know what she would do, but I wasn't prepared for what happened next. The day was gloomy dark, but it was RD's work day what was going on? Twilight got out of bed, and heard a knocking on the door. It was pinkie, rarity, RD, Flutter-shy, but no Applejack.
"Twilight." said Flutter-shy. She looked at the other ponies and told them to wait in Twilight's study while she told Twilight the news.
"So whats going on Flutter shy?" Twilight still had feels from the Apple-jack incident yesterday, and was wishing... hoping that A.J had not told any-pony.
"It's Apple-jack" Flutts said in a calm quiet tone. "They said she was sitting on her house all night last night never came in for whatever or food. When they went out this morning Big Mac climbed up to find her, but what he saw was..." Flutter-shy stopped there she tried to hold back tears, but she couldn't. "She fell off her roof last night Twilight she fell off, and hit her head on one of the plows. When they found her it was way to late. They said they could hear her sobbing loudly to herself, but they just left her alone, and thought she would come in, and tell them what was wrong, but.... now she's gone Twilight she is gone!"
Twilight was in shock and speechless to know what she caused she was the one who did this to Apple Jack she couldn't believe it she was tearing up, and could barely speak.
"Would you.... guys leave.... I need to be alone right now to think about all this. I'm sorry I just need to handle this by myself right now." That's all Twilight could say. Respectfully the ponies left each one hugging Twilight and leaving.
"The funeral is in 2 days." Flutter shy said calmly before leaving.
Twilight fell on the floor a tear puddle soaked her pillow as she cried into it. She couldn't believe anything that just happened. She didn't want to, it was all her fault, was all she could think to herself.

2 days later
Twilight approached the casket all she could hear was people crying, and ponies saying why... Only she knew why. As she approached the casket the last thing she said to Apple-jacks body was.
"Apple-Jack I caused all of this to happen I didn't know telling one pony my secret would lead to this." Twilight was choking with a tear in her eye. "Dearest friend I am sorry this happened I want to take it all back I wish I never told you I wish... I wish..." But Twilight knew wishes meant nothing now. She hugged her good friends body for as long as she could crying soundly. "Remember that time that you wouldn't allow us to help you buck apples because you wanted to do it all yourself?"
Twilight chuckled. "You were so stubborn, but I never gave up and fortunately you came around, and let us all help you were so sweet I love you dear friend."
Twilight would never see her friend again, not wanting that to happen she hugged Apple Jack for as long as she could until eventually her 4 friends had to grab her away from the body.
"You have to let go." said RD
"It's sad for all of us." Fluttershy choked out
"Apple-jack..." was all pinkie could say.
Rarity was simply crying up a storm along with pinkie hugging each-other. It wasn't so easy for Twilight to let go she knew what she had done. The burial was completed, and everyone went home crying that day. Luna raised the moon early that evening to help everyone sleep easy.

5 years later.
The death of Apple Jack was not forgotten, each year they would go to her grave site, and lay down flowers and memorabilia, pictures of them together... laughing. Each pony, sad, but not a tear in there eye... besides Twilight. One lonely tear grasped her cheek. "Come on girls lets go, it's going to start raining," Rarity said, in fear of her black dress getting ruined. With that they were one there way home.
Rarity and RD were the first two to go. Pinkie went home after awhile saying a few more things to AppleJack, she didn't mind the rain after all she is Pinkie. Fluttershy and Twilight hung around the longest.
"How are you feeling Twilight?" Fluttershy said. Her voice graceful like an angel.
"Well idk why, but it hurts Flutter shy, it really hurts I wish it hadn't of happened like this it was never suppose to no pony had to die." Fluttershy just looked away, and said, "Bye Twilight"

It was raining hard now and Twilight was soaked, but stayed with Apple Jack through the rainstorm.
Meanwhile at Rarities. Rarity was cleaning up some supplies she had lying around, "This really is a terrible mess don't you think Opal?" Opal just growled, and hissed. The thunder was getting to both of them. Rarity needed a dress done for Photo finish, and had no jewels to use, so despite the fact it was raining outside, she went out to find some gems. Through mud and leaves and sticks her hoofs ached and she was getting tired.
Rarity sat down to take a rest trying to stay under her umbrella. She pulled out her ipod, and started listening to some relaxing music. She was in the Gusty Gulch. She had no clue what was going to happen next.
She could feel the earth starting to shake, as the wind started to pick up, She spotted a tornado. An earthquake and a tornado at the same time Rarity was trapped she started galloping as fast as she could, with rock falling behind her all she could do was push forward, she looked back for a split second, when she turned back to look in front she halted as quickly as she could. Rock were falling from both directions she was not able to find a way out and the tornado was approaching quickly. Rarity new she was trapped, she knew she had no way out.
