Twilight woke up to the sunlight in her face. "Ugh." She moaned. "I can understand Luna's purpose now." She chuckled to herself. She yawned. She heard a growl. She looked around rapidly. "Grr." It went again. Twilight looked down. She sighed. "Spike!" She called. Nothing. "Hmm.." She looked on the table next to her. "A note? 'Dear Twilight,I went out for a bit to see if I could help Rarity. Love,Spike' Lover boy." She got out of bed and went downstairs. She looked in the fridge. She wanted a sandwich. She wanted a daffodil sandwich,to be exact. No daffodils. Twilight didn't want any other kind of sandwich. She wanted a DAFFODIL sandwich. She wanted it NOW. But how? She facehoofed. She could just buy a daffodil sandwich. And off she went.
Twilight started walking over to Sugarcube Corner. Today was Sandwich Sunday. Twilight's belly grumbled. She groaned and started running to Sugarcube Corner. It came in to sight. She opened the door and walked over to the counter. Then suddenly Pinkie Pie pops out of nowhere,surprising Twilight. "Pinkie!" Twilight yelled. "Yes Twilight?" Pinkie replied happily. "I told you to stop scaring me!" "Oops." Pinkie giggled. "What can I get for ya?" Twilight sighed and said, "I'd like a daffodil sandwich please." She said calmly. "Sorry Twilight but we just ran out of daffodils,but I can get you a daisy sandwich." Twilight's belly grumbled again. "Pinkie I don't want a daisy sandwich." Pinkie frowned. "I guess I'll go somewhere else." Twilight said. Pinkie smiled. "Goodbye Twilight!" Pinkie yelled as Twilight walked out the door. "I hope she finds the right sandwich." Pinkie said as a customer walked up to pay.
Twilight walked up to the Carousel Boutique and walked in. "I'll be there in a second!" Twilight heard a voice. "Rarity it's me!" Twilight called back. "Oh Twilight,dear,I'm so sorry to keep you waiting." Rarity apologized. "It's okay Rarity I just wanted to see if you had..." Twilight blushed. "If you had a daffodil sandwich..." Twilight finished. "Really darling?" Rarity then quickly out a hoof over her mouth. "I guess it was a little silly." Twilight said and blushed again. It was silent for a few minutes. "Um.." Twilight started. "You said a daffodil sandwich?" Rarity asked nervously. "Yes." Twilight replied. "Well,I'm all out of daffodils. "Twilight groaned.She slowly turned around and walked to the door with her head lowered. "Bye Rarity." Twilight said as her stomached growled.
"Rainbow!!!" Twilight called up to the pegasus' house. Then,all of a sudden,Rainbow crashed in to her. "Sorry." Rainbow giggled and stood off of Twilight. "Ugh." Twilight groaned for hopefully the last time. Twilight stood up. "Rainbow!" She yelled. Rainbow flinched and recovered. "I told you I'm sorry!" "Oh well," Twilight dusted herself off. "So,Twilight,I heard you screamin' my name and," Twilight cut her off. "I want a daffodil sandwich." Rainbow heard this and fell on the ground,laughing. Rainbow got up and said, "Really Twilight? A sandwich?" She laughed once more. "Rainbow! This is serious!" Rainbow wiped a tear. "Sorry Twilight but I don't have daffodils." Rainbow laughed for the third time. Twilight sighed. "Goodbye Rainbow." She said leaving the laughing pegasus.
Twilight knocked on the door of Fluttershy's cottage. "Who's t-there?"A timid voice called. "Fluttershy it's me I want to ask you a question." Twilight said. The door opened. "Oh Twilight it is you! How are you?" "Actually I'm not doing so well." Fluttershy looked concerned. "Oh,what is it Twilight?" "Well..." Twilight said something she couldn't make out. "Speak louder please." Fluttershy requested. "Can I have a daffodil sandwich?" Twilight looked hopeful. "Sorry Twilight I don't have any daffodils. But I could make you a daisy sandwich." Twilight sighed. "No thanks Fluttershy." Twilight walked down the path. "Sorry Twilight." Fluttershy said to Twilight,but Twilight was already by her mailbox.
Sweet Apple Acres came in to view as Twilight walked down the path. Twilight saw that Applejack was bucking trees as usual. "Hello Applejack." Twilight said. "Howdy Twi." "Um Applejack..." Said Twilight looking down. "Yes Sugarcube?" There was more whispers than words. "Boy,you sound just like Fluttershy. Now,what is it that you want?" Twilight looked up. "I want a daffodil sandwich." Said Twilight looking down again. Twilight's stomach growled. "That's what the fuss is about?" "Yes." Twilight whispered. "Sorry Twi,but I don't have daffodils." Twilight's stomach growled louder "It's okay AJ." Twilight said as she walked back home
"Hey Twilight! What's wrong?"Said Spike. "I want a daffodil sandwich but nopony has daffodils." Twilight said sadly. "Geez Twi." But Twilight didn't hear him. Twilight went upstairs and got in to bed. Twilight closed her eyes and fell asleep. Twilight woke to a meadow. "Wha?" "Hello there Twilight!" Twilight turned around. She saw a big,dancing daffodil sandwich. "This is crazy." Twilight said to herself. "Twilight wake up!" The sandwich was talking again. "Twilight wake up!" Twilight woke up to Spike shaking her. "I made you a..." Spike held in front of him a...daffodil sandwich! Twilight picked it up and ate it like a pig. "Thank you Spike." She said between mouthfuls. "Yeah yeah." Said Spike feeling proud. Twilight laughed a little.
