Chaper I: On A Summer Vacation. : Dusk's Great Idea.

It was a clear sunny day. There wasn't any wind blowing. Sun was shining very bright. It was summer, July. Ponies were playing outside, having picnics and eating ice-cream. Some ponies were traveling far away to the islands and to the other countries of Equestria. Everypony was enjoying their summer holidays... Everypony but Twilight Sparkle...Or at least she thought so. Twilight was in her library as usual. She was reading lots of books about summer trips. She wanted to go on a summer vacation so bad. Twilight didn't like all this extreme holiday stuff. She just liked to go on a beach or pool. Then she sighted heavily and took all these books about summer trips away. As soon as she did so, there was a knock at her door. She went toward the door.”Who can that be?” she thought. Then she opened the door.
“Hi Twilight!” said a very familiar colt voice. Twilight blushed and replied as soon as she recognized the purple unicorn “Hey Dusk! What brought you here today?” she smiled and forgot about her sad thoughts at all.

When Twilight saw Dusk Shine she forgot all her sad thoughts. She was always happy to see Dusk. Of course she had a crush on him! It was very obvious even to Owlicious!Dusk Shine was so smart, so funny and so... charming. Also he was strong enough to protect her. Twilight could stare at him all day long! Sometimes she thought that maybe Dusk feels the same to her...Of course she didn't think about this romantic stuff...or did she?... Ahem...Okay let us continue our story...

“Oh I just wanted to discuss something with you.” he smiled back.
“Okay,” said Twilight Sparkle, “Come in “.

They went to the kitchen. Twilight prepared some tea. She put sweets and cookies on the table. “So,” Twilight began, “What do you want to discuss about? Is it something serious?”.
Dusk chuckled. “Well that is not SO serious. It is about a summer vacation.” he replied with a warm smile.
“V-Vacation?!” she asked. Her eyes were now full of joy and hope.

“WOW! I was dreaming about a vacation! How did he know about my dreams about a good summer vacation?! Only if he can...Oh my, no, I hope he can't read my thoughts...”

“Twilight?” Dusk looked at Twilight with a puzzled face expression, as she was thinking about this whole vacation theme. She didn't respond to his words. She didn't even hear him.

“She looks so adorable when she is deep in her thoughts.” the purple colt thought and smiled a little.

“Huh?!” she said at last. “ Oh sorry I was just thinking... So a summer vacation huh? Sounds great!”
“Yes. I decided that it will be good if we all go on a little summer vacation. Me, you, Elusive, Rarity, Applejack, A.J., Bubble Berry, Pinkie Pie, Butterscotch, Fluttershy, Rainbow Blitz and Rainbow Dash. We will all go on a Tenerife Island and we will be there about...3 weeks or so. So...What do you think?” he finished.
“Oh that would be so wonderful! I really love this idea Dusk!” Twilight replied. “But 1 more question. How will we get there? I know that this Island is far away...” she asked.
“I've thought about it too. So I decided that we will go on the cruise ship.” he answered with a big smile on his face.
“WOW! That is very very cool, Dusk! I mean cruise ship sounds really wonderful!” - Twilight couldn't control her feelings. She felt very very happy. And she also felt like something was pulling her very close to Dusk. She stood up and hugged him. He opened his eyes and looked on Twilight in surprise. He wasn't expecting that. Everything but a hug from Twilight.She was hugging him with her eyes closed and with a smile on her face. A red color appeared on his cheeks. Can you only imagine?! A beautiful, smart mare of your dream is just standing and hugging you! Dusk felt a little strange in his stomach and he also enjoyed her hug.

She was hugging him for 2 minutes and only minute after that she realized what she just did. She blushed and said: “Oh...S-Sorry Dusk...I didn't mean to do this...”
“T-That is okay T-Twilight.” he said. Twilight blushed even more. He only smiled in reply.
They looked like Fluttershy and Butterscotch. That was very cute.
“So when are we going on our cool summer vacation?” she asked at last.
“Maybe we can call our friend now and then start packing our things?” he offered.
“Okay!” she gave him a smile. “I will go and tell them about our idea. And tell them to pack their stuff.”
“Me too.” he said. “So see you soon!” he smiled and quickly disappeared from the library.
“See you...” she replied and smiled. She needed some time to realize what has happened. She didn't believe that she just hugged the colt she loved so much. She felt like she was still sleeping, like this is another dream or... a nightmare. She was standing there motionless, in the of her library, staring blankly at the front door, still realizing what has happened 2 minutes ago.

“Twilight!” - Spike was going downstairs.” Um...Twilight?” Spike looked at her with a puzzled look. “Is everything okay?!” he was worried. Spike was always worried when Twilight was just stupidly standing and thinking. It was creeping him out.

Now Spike was standing near Twilight and looking at the front door too. He couldn't understand, what so special has she found in that door. Door is door. It was always standing there. What is so attractive or interesting in it?

“Sometimes she really creeps me out” - he thought.

Chapter II: On A Summer Vacation. :B.S.B.F.F.

“TWILIGHT!” the confused dragon yelled at Twilight Sparkle.
“Oh, hi there Spike. How are you?” she said with a small smile.
“I am more worried about YOU!”
“I am fine.” she said calmly in her usual manner.
“I don't think so...” he replied.
“Why?”
“BECAUSE YOU WERE STANDING HERE MOTIONLESS, STARING AT THE DOOR FOR NO REASON!FOR AN HOUR!”
“H-h-hour?!”

“Oh hello Dusk!” said Elusive opening his boutique door and seeing his friend Dusk Shine. “Is there something I can help you with?”
“Hello Elusive! Well yes, yes it is.” he replied
“What is it?”
“I have some good news for you! 12 ponies are going on a summer vacation on a cruise ship!Guess who these lucky ponies are?” he smiled as he finished his sentence.
“ Wait wait! That can mean only 1 thing...YOU, ME, APPLEJACK, RAINBOW BLITZ, BUBBLE BERRY, BUTTERSCOTCH AND OUR 6 MARE DOUBLES ARE GOING TO A VERY ROMANTIC AND COOL SUMMER VACATION ON A CRUISE SHIP?!” he said with his eyes opened wide.
“Yep, exactly!”
“From all the BESTEST things can happen, this is THE MOST BESTEST THING!” he said fainting on the couch, which appeared out of nowhere.
“Wait how did you...?Okay, that doesn't matter. So... That means you are... happy?” Dusk Shine asked.
“Of course I am! Only imagine: me Rarity(or you and Twilight), cruise ship, sunset, romantic dinner with candles. What can be more romantic than this?!”
Dusk Shine slightly blushed.
“Oh don't be like that,Dusk!Of course you are in love with Twilight Sparkle!”
Dusk blushed even more.
“Aww!How wonderful!” Elusive looked at blushing Dusk Shine and giggled.
“Okay, okay Elusive! I-I got it!” said Dusk still blushing.
The white unicorn giggled once more.
“Just start packing your things,Elusive. When your ready,go to the library.”
“Okay!”
“And 1 more thing. Just take stuff that you WILL need there.”
“Oh of course Dusk!I am the Element of Generosity, after all!”

After seeing Elusive Dusk decided to go to Butterscotch, because he was sure, that Butterscotch will be more happy to hear such news, unlike Rainbow Blitz. Dusk was thinking, how to persuade Blitz to go on a cruise with them. He knew How RD and RB hated each other. Of course he didn't want them to fight. And he didn't want them to spoil their vacation.
“I am sure I can make him go with us...I just need to figure out how.” he thought
While he was busy thinking about it, he didn't notice that he was at Butterscotch's door already. He cleared his throat and knocked at the door.
Soon the door has opened.
“Oh hello Dusk! How are you?” said the shy yellow pegasus.
“Hi Butterscotch. I am good. And what about you?” Dusk asked, looking at his friend. I seemed to him that there was something wrong with Butterscotch, but he couldn't figure out what.
“I am okay...Just a little bit sad...” he said shyly and with sadness in his voice.
“Why?” asked Dusk with a sad expression on his face. “Is it something serious?”
“Well...I-I...” he blushed a little. “I just miss Fluttershy so much...I am too shy to go and talk to her...S-She is just so wonderful...A-And I think she doesn't like me...I am not wonderful at all...” he said with a sadness in his voice and looked blankly at the ground.
Dusk Shine smiled and replied. “Oh silly you,Butterscotch!She does like you!I am 100% sure about it!” he smiled widely.
“Y-You really think so?” asked Butterscotch, that was now looking at the purple unicorn with a small smile.
“Of course I do!” he replied and put his hoof on the yellow pegasus's shoulder.
“Oh well thank you Dusk.” he smiled.
“Plus I have some news to cheer you up!You know we and 4 our best friends are going on a summer vacation on a cruise ship, with our 6 mare doubles!” he said and smiled as he always did.
“Oh that is very wonderful to hear!Thank you for helping me!I am not sad anymore.” he smiled and hugged the purple unicorn.
“You are very welcome my friend!” he hugged him back.”So you better pack your things and then go to library. Everypony will be there as soon, as they will be ready to go.
“Oh okay and thank you again!” he was waving his hoof until Dusk Shine was far away from his house. “Oh I have so much things to pack!”

After cheering Butterscotch up, Dusk Shine decided to go to the Sugarcube Corner, where Bubble Berry was working.
“I hope he will not have this whole party idea on his mind.” he thought and chuckled.

The weather was very nice. Sun was shining bright. But it wasn't very hot. A warm breeze was blowing. Everypony was outside. And a lot of foals were playing with each other. Dusk Shine loved seeing foals playing. It was always bringing smile on his face. When he saw the foals with their big sisters or brothers, he was always thinking about those great times when he was a very little cute colt himself, playing with his elder sister Gleaming Shield, who was now married to Prince Bolero. He remembered, how she taught him how to fly a kite, how to use his magic. He thought about the times, when he was in a Magic Kinder garden. When all of the little colts and fillies were rude and mean to him. When he was coming home very very sad. His parents were working all day long and only Gleaming Shield was home. She always helped his little brother. At first Dusk didn't want to tell about the Kinder Garden, about the fact that he was bullied by others, until Gleaming Shield said these words, that he still remembers as if it was yesterday: “Oh Duskie! I am your sister and I will protect you from all the evil ponies, who are rude or mean to you! Just tell me what bothers you. I will always listen and help you. So will you tell me what is wrong?” and then she smiled. After that, Dusk always shared his news with his elder sister. She listened every to word he was saying. She taught him mostly everything! Of course their parents loved Dusk and her too. But the fact, that they were hard working all day long and were home only at night. Gleaming shield was like his second mom to him... Everything was great. They shared their hopes and dreams. But when she she got married, it seemed like the world has changed. Yes, Dusk Shine was a stallion when the wedding day was, he had his 5 best friend by his side, Barbara and Owlicia, but he still felt sad. He missed her more than he thought he will.

Gleaming Shield was now a very busy mare. She helped her husband in the Crystal Empire. She also missed her little brother. Thinking about him always brought tears to her eyes. They hardly see each other. And when they do, they are always very very happy to see each other.

“Time flies so fast” he thought and wiped a tear from his eye.

Chapter III: On A Summer Vacation. :Calling friends.

Dusk Shine was so busy thinking, that he didn't notice he was already at Bubble Berry's door. He took a deep breath and knocked at the door.
“HeythereDuskie!Howareyou?'” said the pink colt really really fast.
“Hi Bubble. I am fine. I just wanted to tell you that we go to the vacation on a cruise ship with our great friends. 12 of us, to be correct.” he smiled.
But Bubble Berry's reaction was not the one he was expecting. Bubble Berry was standing still, there was no smile nor frown on his face. Dusk began to worry.
“Did I say something wrong? No, I think I didn't. Why isn't he happy?! He should be! He always is!” that is what Dusk thought. But as soon as he finished his thinking, Bubble Berry began to act like 'crazy'. Dusk knew, Bubble Berry was always a little bit too happy. But the way Bubble was acting now was the first time. He stared jumping like a frog. Then he quickly said something, after that he began to dance weird. He was dancing for like 3-5 minutes. After that a bright smile appeared on his face. “Do you know what that means?!” he asked his confused friend, that was still realizing what has happened with his pink friend.
“A PARTYYY!!!!!A SUPER-DUPER CRUISE VACATION PARTYYYY!!!!FINALLY ME AND PINKIE WILL THROW OUR BUBBLE PIE PARTYYYY!!!!I AM SO NERVOCITED!!!!” Bubble Berry was jumping around Dusk Shine. At last Dusk could speak:
“Yeah, um... that's great, but you need to hurry up, pack your things and then go to the library.”
“Okie-Dokie-Lokie!” said Bubble Berry and quickly ran into the 'Sugar Cube Corner'.
“Sometimes Bubble Berry is too crazy.” thought Dusk and smiled.

A.J. was next on Dusk's list. Dusk Shine was walking slowly to the 'Sweet Apple Acres'. He was tired that is why he decided to walk slower. He was continuing walking, when suddenly somepony bumped into him.
“Oh I am so sorry! I-I didn't mean to... Hey D-Dusk...” it was Twilight Sparkle. She was running so fast, that she didn't even see where she was running. Dusk Shine blushed a little: “T-that's okay T-Twilight. Why where you running so fast? Is somepony chasing you?”
“Oh no no! Not at all! I was just in hurry to call everypony on our vacation. I was going to go to Applejack. She and Rainbow Dash are the only ones who is left. And you?” She said and gave Dusk Shine a warm smile, that made him feel a little bit 'strange'. He always felt this 'strange feeling' to Twilight. He just couldn't help it. “Oh I-I was going to A.J. too. And RB is left.” he replied.
And looked at her. Now she was feeling uncomfortable and blushed a little, looking down on a ground.
“So let's go together? I mean to the 'Sweet Apple Acres'.”
“Oh sure! Let's go!”
They both headed to their friends, thinking, what to talk about. Unfortunately, nothing crossed their minds, no theme. They were just going in silence. Everypony was talking, laughing. Only Dusk and Twilight were silent. It seemed like an eternity. Then Twilight finally spoke: “ So what was the others reaction, Dusk?”
“Well, Elusive liked the idea, Butterscotch missed Fluttershy but he was glad to hear about our vacation and Bubble Berry was very very 'nervocited' and happy. And what about their doubles?”
Twilight laughed. “ Same is here.” They both laughed. Then they were finally talking. They were discussing and planing their vacation. They wanted it to be the best holiday ever. Though, it was still hard to talk to each other. They both felt a lump in their throats. And their stomachs were heavy.
“If he will get closer to me I think I will explode.” thought Twilight. “I never walked with him.” she blushed hardly.

Chapter IV: On A Summer Vacation. :Blushing couple.

Finally, Dusk Shine and Twilight Sparkle have reached the 'Sweet Apple Acres'.
“Whew, finally. I thought we will never be there. Walking with Dusk alone was very hard.” she thought and sighted in relief.

The saw A.J. He was bucking apples. Then he saw them.
“Howdy there Dusk and Twilai, how can Ah help ya?” he asked and looked at them.
“Hello A.J. Have you seen Applejack? I need to talk to her.” Twilight Sparkle asked the orange stallion.
“Sure Ah do. She is in the kitchen, cooking apple pie.”
“Thank you!” said Twilight and quickly ran in the house.
After she entered the house, A.J. slyly smiled and said:
“Wow Dusk, Ah didn't know you both are datin'.”
“W-WHAT?! D-DATING?!” Dusk Sine's face turned red, like a ripe tomato.
A.J. chuckled. “Sorry Dusk, but yer face expression is priceless! Ah mean, do ya really love her that much?” he asked with more serious manner.
“W-Well, I g-guess I do...” Dusk replied, still red.
A.J. smiled: “ Ya know, Ah really don't like these 'facy-shmancy' romantic stuff, but Ah think ya 2 look great together.” he said and looked at the house.
“Thank you A.J.” said Dusk. He was now looking 'normal', without this red blush.
“Ya welcome, haystack” the orange stallion replied and smiled. “So why do ya come here? Somethin' is wron'?
“Oh! I almost forgot! We all go on a vacation with our friends, and your other friends.”
“Wait a minute, let me get this straight. Ya mean we and them?” he pointed his hoof towards the house, where were Applejack and Twilight.
“Yes, 12 of us.”
“Well. That is great to hear,Dusk. I better go and pack my things. See ya!”
“I am glad to hear you like this idea! When you are ready, go to the library.”
“Okay!”
A.J. quickly ran to the house. Before he entered, he saw Twilight, which was going out. She headed to Dusk Shine.
“Okay Twilight. Stay calm... Uh, but I can't!! Why does it have to be so hard?! And why am I going to him?” she quickly thought. Applejack thought that she and Dusk were dating. Just like A.J. did. “Hmm...Did A.J. think that we are dating too?! I hope he didn't...” Twilight was so close to Dusk again.
“So did you call A.J.?”
“Yes I did. And you, Twilight?”
“I did too.”
“So the last are RD and RB, huh?”
“Yep.” Twilight replied and smiled. “So...we better go?”
“Oh, sure.”

They both were going to RD and RB. But they were worried about these two more. Because everypony knew, that Rainbow Dash and Rainbow Blitz hate each other. But why? They were insulting each other all the time! Their favorite were these:”Filly-faker!” and “Colt-crudder!” And this whole vacation plan. It was just impossible to make them go. Dusk and Twilight clearly knew that. They were walking again, next to each other, thinking about RB and RD.
“I hope I can make Rainbow Blitz go with us...”
“I hope I can make Rainbow Dash go with us...”
The both stopped for a moment. They said these lines at the same time.
“Wow,” said Dusk “That is interesting!”
Twilight blushed a little bit. “Hehe, yes, yes it is.” she smiled. Dusk smiled too. They were walking again. Everypony was whispering something, looking at 2 purple unicorns, which made them feel uncomfortable.
“Why are they looking at us like that?!” asked Twilight.
“I-I don't know.” he whispered in reply. “Let's just run to RB and RD. This is too weird.”
“I agree Dusk. Come on!” she whispered.
Now they were running very very fast. They tried not to look at the ponies, that were staring at them all the time they were together. Soon they were under RD's house. Her house was made of clouds. It was really high.
“Whew. Now how will I get there?' Twilight was looking at her cyan friend's house.
“I have an idea!” said Dusk.
“Really? What is it?” Twilight was now curious.
“Maybe I can use the levitation spell, and you will slowly peek through her window and call her down. How is that?”
“Hm...I agree.” she smiled
“Okay. Ready?”
“Yes.” she replied.
Dusk began slowly levitating Twilight into the air. There was a purple colored magic field around her. She was scared of height. She was close to the window. She peeked, but Rainbow Dash wasn't here. She gave Dusk Shine a sign to put her down. He understood her. Now Twilight was slowly going down. Everything was fine, but suddenly somepony punched Dusk from behind. Dusk couldn't hold the field around Twilight. The punch distracted Dusk from his magic. The magic field disappeared and Twilight was now falling down. Dusk Shine quickly got back on his hooves and caught Twilight Sparkle.
“I-I am sorry Twilight. A-Are you alright?” he asked looking into her dark purple eyes.
“Y-Y-Yes I am. T-Thank you for c-catching me, D-Dusk...” she replied blushing hardly.
He blushed too: “Y-You are welcome.” Suddenly they heard somepony's laugh behind them. A very familiar laugh.
“Ahaha! You guys are so funny!”
“R-Rainbow Dash!” said Twilight still blushing. “What in the world?! W-Where were you?!”
“Well, I saw you 2 heading to my house. I quickly flew in the air. I was very curious, what do you need from me. So I sat on the cloud and watched you. When I saw Dusk levitating you to my house, I decided that it will be more interesting to punch Dusk. And I was correct!” she laughed. “ YOU BOTH ARE SO HILLARIOUS!” she burst into laughing...again. “Anyway, why did you come to my place? You need any help?” she asked looking at Dusk and Twilight.
“Well, we wanted to invite you to a vacation with our doubles.” Twilight began
“Vacation, huh? Sounds good. But wait... You said with our doubles?!” Rainbow was now confused.
“Yes?” Twilight replied almost whispering.
“You mean this STUPID JERK IS GOING TOO?! THIS STUPID COLT-CRUDDER?!”
“You mean Rainbow Blitz, right?” Twilight said flatly.
“Yes Twilight. I mean this STUPID JERK. Well, if HE is going, I am not going! And you 2 can't make me go!” she finished, closing her eyes.
Dusk Shine wanted to say something, but Twilight put her hoof to his mouth. She had an idea. Dusk understood, and allowed his female double do what she came up with.
“Oh, okay Rainbow Dash. I will not force you to go.” she said in her usual manner.
Rainbow Dash was surprised. “Really?” she raised her eyebrow.
“Yes, I will not. You know we go to the Tenerife Island. There will be a lot of colts on the beach.”
This made Rainbow Dash say these words: “Hm... Aha! Yes Twilight you are right! There will be a lot of colts! They will be my fans! And RB will be jealous! Haha! I can imagine this look on his face! I am going Twilight!”
This was the result she wanted to hear. “Okay Dash. You pack your things and go to the library.”
“Okay! I will be there soon! Bye!” She quickly flied to her house.
“Great plan, Twilight! I would have never thought of it!” said Dusk. He was surprised.
“Thank you Dusk!” she smiled and blushed.
“You are welcome, Twilight.” he smiled back
“ Now we need to find Rainbow Blitz.”
“ I think I know where he can be.” said Dusk Shine.
