Fluttershy Tears

Fluttershy wakes up in the morning to an apparent murder outside of the Everfree Forest. But who blamed for it other than... Her.

This wasn't right.
This pony... she... She couldn't have...
It's all up to me now. To figure it out. As much as I hate to do it, I have to. For the sake of my friends.

Yup, I'm back! ...And writing another story about Flutters. I just can't stop writing about her, can I? As much as I'd like to make this an Ace Attorney crossover, I already have one in progress, so whatever. I changed it to Xover anyway.

Chapter 1

I tipped the cardboard box up slightly so that my pet's food would drop into his food bowl. With loud 'tap' noises the biscuits pattered against the hard plastic bowl. He was always such a little angel when he ate. That was his name.
Angel Bunny had to have been my favourite pet out of all the animals I had. Although he was a bit naïve at times, he always lived up to his name when it was dinner time. I walked over to a towel I had and picked it up. I screwed all my hair up in it, then pulled as large droplets of water plopped onto the floor, eventually creating a big puddle. Earlier that day I had been at the local pond with my friend Pinkie Pie. We had such a good time together, what with her strange gravity defying actions and all. But I knew I needed to feed my animals sooner or later. So I went back to my home. But then I noticed a small red and orange egg. I had never seen it before, but seeing as it was so high up, no wonder I hadn't seen it. It was on my highest bird house, tucked way up in the corner of the room by the ceiling. I made a small nest of hay and placed the small egg on it. I guess I were to be the mother of yet another animal that month. It was quiet without most of the birds, but I had to let them go. It was getting cramped up and the birds really needed to stay outdoors. It was about 5 PM, not very late. But I felt very sleepy. Besides, I was supposed to meet Rarity the next day at the spa at about 9 AM - it would be three hours after I wake up, but nonetheless I needed my sleep. So I flew upstairs to settle myself into my bed. I didn't know Angel had followe me up until I saw him hop onto my bed and fall asleep on the bed cover.

"Goodnight. Angel Bunny." I whispered before I too fell asleep.

"WWWAAAAHHHHHH!!"

I sat up quickly in my bed. The voice, albeit earpiercing, had woke me up immediately. I took flight and opened my window. At the forest entrance was an unconscious pony that I had never seen before.
She was a light blue unicorn with purple, yellow, brown, green, blue and pink mane and tail, though the colours varied wherever you saw them. She had a curly mane and a tail similar to Rarity's, though it was in a multi-ponytail - tied up with three purple bobbles at several areas of the tail. She also had small blue glasses and her horn appeared to be slightly fractured. Worried, I flew down to have a look. She seemed to be alright - until I noticed a sticky crimson liquid puddle forming under her. That's when I looked up and saw--

"T-Twilight?!"

Her horn was lit up, and she was levitating a large branch. She stared at me.

"I-it's n-not what it look like, Fluttershy!" She stuttered. I began crying, even though I had never ever seen the pony before. Twilight began glowing pink, where small sparkles appeared around her. Then she disappeared in a flash, subsequently dropping the branch. I gasped and felt faint as I also saw that the other branches coming off this one were covered in the same liquid... I saw Twilight materialise over by my cottage, so I flew quickly back over. I had better tell Mayor Mare about what had happened - but I was too afraid so I hid in my room. Angel wasn't anywhere in my house, and he was always there. Even when he wasn't there he was usually on some walk with me, such as a picnic. He had never gone off on his own. I then flew out and went all the way to the main area of Ponyville to tell the Mayor about what had happened and the fact that Angel was missing.
But she COULDN'T have... Could she? I didn't want to believe that she would do that.

"So," said the mayor as I shivered in fear. "You say there's a dead pony near your cottage?"

"Y-yes. I woke up, a-a-and she was just there..." I didn't want to say anything about Twilight being there because I didn't want her to get in trouble. Mayor Mare nodded slowly with her eyes closed as she seemed to take it all in.

"...we'll perform an investigation on it soon. Thank you for reporting it, Flutter Fly."

"M-my name is...Flutter. Shy..." She was an... Odd mare. She never remembered my name correctly, but I can't blame her. What I don't understand is... Why does she wear that cravat-like thing on her neck? Oh well, it's her fashion choice. I decided to pay the library a visit. What I saw in there.. It... Was different than what I was expecting. Twilight was frantically washing her hooves - I could tell why, but... I know she didn't do it. I didn't want to scare her, so I quietly cleared my throat and said, "Um, Twilight?"

"YACK!!" She shrieked as she fell off a stool she was on and onto the floor. The shock of the landing caused her wings to open up instantly. I think every pony knows what I mean by that, but it was the shock from landing, I'm sure of it. "Fluttershy, why are you..."

"Don't worry. I know you didn't do it." I said softly. I was still terrified, and she seemed to be too. She calmed down quickly, then shouted for Spike to make us some hay tea. Twilight said that it was a traditional Canterlot recipe, though on my visits, I've never seen any pony drink it, nor even mention it. I must have been there for at least twenty minutes chatting my head off like I sometimes am around my friends, when--

"Miss Twilight Sparkle, you're coming with me to Princess Celestia!!"
