Luna's suffering and pain has caused her to forget everything, and just focus on what went wrong, and when it went wrong. Maybe then she'll be able to fix all the problems.

(I'm going to be adding more chapters once a week, or whenever i can get my lazy ass up and write.)
Everyone knows of Luna's tragic and upsetting tale. But do they fully understand and know why it happened? Everyone's a confused as Celestia. And til' this day, all Luna can remember is the pain and suffering from it all.

Suffering.

A story by Rina Rocker

" 'Tia...? Does 'thou have a moment..?" Luna slowly walked in. Her hoofs apathetically patted against the ground, each step piercing the walls, and bouncing back. Princess Celestia, who was sipping a warm sweet tea, and reading a letter, had slowly tilted her head up, and smiled at her sister. Obviously seeing the pain and suffering in her eyes.

"Of course." She said, using her magic to levitate the cup and letter onto the table that rested in the middle of her room.
"Now..." She continued, getting comfortable. "What did you need to talk about?" She smiled slightly, and crossed her front-hooves.

"...I know it has been... Strange... Coming back..." Luna replied, and continued as she walked over to the balcony, and stared up into the night sky. Which felt all too familiar due to her upsetting past. "But..."

"But?" Celestia said, slowly walking, and meeting up with her sister.

"I can't help but feel as if i need to go back..." Luna's eyes closed, and her ears flopped. Luckily, with her eyes shut, she couldn't see the tears filling up in her sister's eyes. Celestia thought for a few seconds as her ears flopped on the side. But, quickly flew back up with a stern, and irritated face.

"There's nothing wrong with you, sister. You're just like everyone else, and me-"

"Did you and everyone else nearly destroy a world!? I think not!!" Luna snapped back. She saw the look on her sister's face. And shook her head in disbelief at what had just happened. "I.. I'm sorry..." She said.

"Luna..." Her sister said putting her hand on her shoulder. "I love you... And mother and father loved you-"

"They PREDICTED the evil coming to me! Why are 'thou so blind about reality!?" She said, as she flew off.

"Luna! Wait!" Celestia said. Afraid she was about to loose her sister again. She closed her eyes and whispered "Mother... Father... I wish you could aid me..." And trotted back into her room.

She darted through the night sky. Feeling weaker every second. Flashes of memory came back to her as she landed on the ground. Hardly even making a sound. She looked up at the sky. Then around. All the animals were sound asleep. Practically shunning the night. The only beautiful sight was campers playing. It caused her to smile.

"Come on kids. It's getting to late. It's time to sleep." The mother said, rounding up her children. This sight made Luna feel unappreciated. She closed her eyes. And started glowing the opposite of the most beautiful colors in a evening sky. Pure black. She then saw an image of her and Celestia talking.

"Ah! It worked! This memory of a memory spell Cadence made really works. Now.. What does thou' past, mean see for us?" She saw herself. Around the age of 7. And Celestia, the age of 14.

" 'Tia!" She trotted up to Celestia, levitating a drawing "Look at what i drew for you!" Celestia just looked down, with one eye cocked.

"I have more attending matters at hand. Now please, go bug Cadence with your drawings." Luna sighed, and looked at the drawing of her and her sister in a harmony.

"Why wouldn't she listen...?" Luna mumbled to herself. As the spell wore off. It was daytime now. She sighed and started trotting toward the castle. Her head hung.

"Why did my sister not care about me...?" She kept trotting. Her head filling with doubt for her sisters love. Was everything she knew a lie? Was the stars in the beautiful night sky just a filler for what others craved most- the sun? Am i just paranoid about leaving her again? Her eyes widened as the thought popped into her head. She stopped and thought for a second. Then another. And another. As she thought. She remembered how much she cried when Celestia had sent her away. Her thoughts were broken as she bumped into Twilight. And bowed.

"Oh, Luna.." Twilight said. "You don't have to bow to me!" She smiled. Her smile quickly faded as she saw the tears in the princess's eyes. "What's wrong, Luna?!"

"Twilight... I need you to preform the memory of a memory spell for me... Please...!" She tried to hide her tears.

"Princess... You know how dangerous that can be... I care about you far too much to-"

"DO IT, OR 'SHALL I COURSE THEE' IN NIGHT FOR 10,000 YEARS!" She snapped. Twilight shook in fear. Luna felt her pupil's dilate from another color.

"..I can't..." She said, her voice shaking.

"...What's wrong with me..?" Luna whispered and ran toward the palace.

"Luna, please wait!!" Twilight screamed. She ran toward the palace, hoping to find answers in the most knowledge filled place: The library.

Luna looked around the library. Feeling a sharp pain in her head. She couldn't shake the feeling she was being controlled. She then found a book labeled "Nightmare Night" and pulled it out. She flipped through the pages, begging and pleading to find an answer to her grief. Then, there it said;

"It is believed that Nightmare Moon appeared after jealousy for her sister. Being shunned and alone, she allowed the dark power to slowly take over. Why was she so jealous? No one knows. Experts say-" She slammed the book back into the shelf. And burst out crying.

"I LOVED 'THY SISTER!!! WHY WOULD THEY SAY THIS!" Then a sharp pain happened again, as she remembered the image of Celestia turning away her picture. "W...Why...!?" She screamed at the top of her lungs, collapsing from crying. She fainted. And laid there.

Pain.

"-Una?" No reply.

"Luna?" Still no reply.

"Luna!!"

"Huh!? Where am i!? Who are 'thee!?" Luna woke from her short rest, to be quickly grasped into a tight hug by her worried sister.

"Never... Scare me like that... EVER again..." Luna's face filled with confusion as she heard the shaking tone in her sister's voice.

"What are 'thou talking about...?!" She said, gently pushing her sister away, and looked into her eyes.

"Twilight found you passed out in the library. I, on the other hand, had to set the sun while you were unconscious." Set the sun..? It must be night time. I'm far to dizzy myself to preform the memory of a memory spell. Maybe i could convince Celestia to do so. If not, then Twilight or Cadence should be on my side if i give them a explanation. Luna thought to herself.

"Where's Twilight...?" She said. Celestia looked confused at her sister. "WHERE IS SHE!" Luna snapped, jumping out of bed.

"Luna, this kind of behavior has gone on long enough!" Celestia snapped back. Surprised to had gotten a irritated look from her sister.

"You know what, 'thy sister!?" Luna said, getting closer to Celestia's face. Not realizing Cadence and Twilight sitting in chairs. Obviously surprised.

"I'm sick and tired of everything that you've put me through! Everyone's always loved you, and your day more than my night! Do 'thee think i'm not worthy of taking care of myself?! Do 'thy ever even THINK of me!? Did 'thy ever shed a tear due to my disappearance!? I don't remember ONCE when you said 'I'll always be here for you, Luna..' and i've said it MILLIONS of times to you! I understand, you might have felt a sharp pain in 'thy neck, from sending me away for a THOUSAND years, but has 'thy even considered bringing me back!? NO! Mother and father always loved you more... They favored you... And what did they do to me?! They basically predicted evil, and trained you to become the dominate sister! The day is important, but without my night, how would ponies know when to sleep!? It's obvious that you're day is important. I understand this! But the day and night are equal. A beautiful harmony. But obviously, you, TRULY, have no idea of the pain i suffer from everypony else! Sure, sure, 'thy say they love me. But you never show it! And I am sorry to say, but this sister ship, and harmony are OVER!" She screamed the last sentence, and stomped her hoof. She stared into her sister's eyes. Which were filled with tears. Twilight stood up and said

"Come on, Princess..." She shot a dirty glare at Luna.

"That was uncalled for, Luna..." She hugged her aunt, and with Twilight's assistance, slowly walked Celestia to her room.

"Do you see that?" A voice said. Luna looked around, puzzled to find that there was no one else in the room. "The exact same treatment that caused me to take over before."

"Oh no..." Luna whispered.

"Oh yes. Please, allow your thoughts to slip into me." The voice said again.

"I REFUSE!!" Luna screamed.

"It shall not me long now." Luna ran out onto the balcony. The night now was cloudy. She then flew off the balcony, obviously not paying attention to her wings becoming wet, and feathers sticking together. Her wings uncontrollably shut, and she fell, head first upon the ground. She tried to pry her eyes open with all of her force. She saw a dark image, surrounded by a black aurora. It slowly rubbed her hoof against her head.

"Sleep." It said, "And remember why we ruled in the first place." She continued, as she slowly put her horn up to Luna's.

"You will never take over again... Nightmare Moon..." She said as she slowly began to fade.

"I already have." She smirked.

~~~~~~~~~~
Luna's eyes opened. To see herself standing behind Celestia, next to her younger self. She touched her head, to see now that it went right through, as if she was never there. She walked over to the balcony, and saw everypony praying and cheering for their celestial goddess. Celestia smiled and whispered to herself, unaware that Luna was behind her.
"Surely, there is nopony so lovely, and so beloved as I."
"Yea... Of course there isn't..." Luna said, turning around as she turned her head, and ears flopped.
"Sister!" Celestia turned around. "What are you doing here?!"
"I live here." She said, feeling upset.
"Well... Make yourself useful, and go prepare for the night!" As Luna walked away, the ponies cheered loudly. Celestia did some kind of pose to cover it up, and make it like they were cheering for her. The present Luna followed the younger one, seeing how many tears were falling down her cheeks.
"I wish i were Princess Celestia..." She said, wiping the tears away, and jumping onto her bed. "She has everything... Love... Caring subjects... And what do i have...? A sister who dosen't show the least amount of love for me..." The present Luna's eyes grew wide. As she had felt what she had read was true. Did I truly turn into NightMare Moon because of jealousy?!
Saw a black aurora form around her younger self.
