The humans have come so far.One of the many space array base on Pluto is going to be the site of the first crossing of solar systems but what they find out in space might want to make them go back home.

Humanity. Come so far from the first moon landing to the first Mega drive.
Humanity thought they were alone in the universe. They thought wrong.

Equestria. Come so far from the first non-Pegasus flight to the conversion of Angela planets.
Equestria thought they couldn't be beaten. They thought wrong.

A history: Raxdon Empire

There are some strange things in space. Even stranger life forms are found on little, atmosphere holding rocks the orbit a sphere made up of gases that may explode and kill everything in a good Ferrun or two. However there are some more interesting things out there. The ancient Raxdon Empire, said to be alive within the age of Queztel, The spanned the entire Horrun galaxy leaving data clusters under planet surfaces, or orbiting certain Black holes(and somehow not getting sucked in), or sitting in the middle of interstellar space. And when the Raxdon Empire was locked in a civil war, they built massive underground Stardocks to build their advanced space ships. Some of these had weapon caches with weapons that fired concentrations of radiation at their enemies to slowly kill them, Labs where Biochemical agents were manufactured for use against civilian populations to blame the rebels, or some to catalog where key races in the Empire reside to build safety bunkers in case of orbital bombardment.

But when the inevitable end happened to the Empire, things....changed. Massive Electromagnetic pulses rocked the entire empire, roasting even the smallest of technologies, sending many races back to the stone age. However, not all races were sent back. The main races of the Raxdon Empire, The Angela, The Radof, The Gengias, and The Alicorns had either Super bunkers or military bases to hunker down in while the Pulse roared through. When the pulse finally dissipated(Which took three decades) The races left with nothing had to start all over from the beginning, while the races left with technology used it to their advantage. The Radof set off to make a new empire, conquering a lot of previous slave races and attempted to conquer the Gengias. This proved to be their mistake, as the Gengias had access to powerful mechs and Pulsar technology to tear into the invading Radof. This lead to a war that lasted over a century, and ended when both races exhausted their limited resources and died out, leaving the slave races to take remaining tech scrap and made it better. The Angela, instead of taking to the stars and conquer everything like their ancestors did, took to Civil, Agricultural, and Medicinal development. Over time they went back into space and colonized planets for more farms and clean cities. They stumbled upon the last battle between the Radof and the Gengias and watched as the last of them killed each other in a nuclear explosion. Mourning, the Angela built memorials for the lost races and help the slave races get to spaces by giving them food, medicine, and certain technologies.

The Alicorns....Many didn't survive the pulse. Even with all the protective measures taken, it still didn't stop many Alicorns exploding in great balls of fire. Alicorns were.... a special race. The first Alicorn, Faust, was built back when the Raxdon Empire was a benevolent figure in the eyes of the galaxy. As one of the only free thinking Synthetic at the time, Faust went about building more Alicorns. The next Alicorns, Solaris and Nocturn only lived for 30 minutes, but they made the basic code for the next line of Alicorns to survive longer. After that, Faust disappeared, not to be seen again for another 23 years. When she did show up again, she was in command of an entire hidden colony of synthetic Alicorns. After a colony wide IQ test, it was shown that the Alicorns were smarter than 78% of the scientific community(Well, what do you expect of androids?). Anyways, not many Alicorns remained, about 362 out of the original Seven thousand that were in the bunker and surrounding bases. And many started "dying"....shutting down and their synthetic corpses rotting away. No one knows what really happened after the bunker collapsed, but they didn't survive into the first decade after the Pulse. They were soon forgotten to time and no one looked for survivors(Why would you look for the things that started a galaxy wide war anyway?)

That was a very BIG mistake....
