Prolog: when things change
Discord sat on a cliff side. He smiled and looked at Ponyville. He saw Fluttershy's cottage and decided to pay a visit to his friend. He hopped down, spreading his mismatched wings he glided down to the peaceful cottage. The calm summer wind ruffled his mane slightly. He gave a knock on the door. The small yellow Pegasus looked out and smiled, her voice calm and quiet.
"Oh hey, Discord, what brings you here?" She smiled. Her blue eyes looked at the Draconequus.
Discord simply smiled and replied, "Oh silly Flutters, i just decided to come for a visit !" He looked at her.
Fluttershy frowned.
"Oh, sorry Dissy, I'm just a bit busy, Angel is very sick, maybe you can stop by later?" She looked up at him.
Discord frowned.
"I guess..." he said glumly his ears drooping.
Discord walked down town. He smiled as he saw Sugarcube Corner. A small bell rang as he entered, he took a deep breath smelling all the baked goods. He chuckled as he saw Pinkie Pie struggling with the Cake twins.
"I see you’re busy, I'll be going now ." He sighed and walked out. He went to all of his friends... Twilight was busy studying, Applejack was working on the orchard, getting ready for zap apple season, Rarity kept dressing him up so he snuck away, and Rainbow Dash was off training for the Wonderbolts.
All of my friends are busy, he sighed and walked through town. Discord stopped by the post office to see if he had any mail.
He had one letter it was signed with a cursive C.
Dear Discord,
You may be wondering who I am, but if I contained it in this note i'm sure the Canterlot guards would hunt me down. I will be sending a package to you soon.

Discord looked at the note, his eyes wide. Who could this be... He wondered. Shrugging it off, he walked back home.

Discord woke in the morning, stretching his arms, He walked outside, nearly tripping over a basket. He remembered the note and looked down at the basket covered by a white blanket. There was a second note. He picked it up.
Dear Discord,
This is the package I was talking about, please take good care of him. His name is Allie. He is our son.
I hope to hear from you soon.
Yours truly ,
Queen of the Changelings, Chrysalis.
He read it over and over. He couldn’t believe what he was reading.
But, Chrysalis and I broke up a long time ago..
He perked his ears, hearing a small noise coming from the basket. He gulped and pulled the blanket away. He stared at the small Draconequus that was within, a spitting image of himself, only...he had Changeling wings, Allie smiled and crawled out, his eyes filled with wonder as he quickly ran inside of Discord’s house. Discord ran in after him as Allie almost knocked a lamp over.
Discord sighed as he picked him up. Allie pawed at him with a small lion paw.
"Rawr!" the little Draconequus giggled as he kept pawing at Discord which led to him setting Allie down. There was a knock at the door .
What am i going to do him!? i cant let anyone know of him!
He scooped him up, setting him in the closet and went to answer the door.
Fluttershy smiled.
"I'm so sorry for yesterday Discord, Angel is still sick, but I came over to visit for a bit." She smiled up at him.
"Um...I'm sorry I'm uh... sorting the mail. " he replied, closing the door. He let out his breath. He opened the closet and picked the young Draconequus up. He squeaked.
"You know, you are kinda cute." Discord smiled. He fell over as Allie flapped his Changeling wings, trying to get away.
Discord got up and followed him.

Allie flew into the kitchen his eyes wide as he looked at all the food. He squeaked and dove into some pasta, eating it with a pleased look on his face. He looked up as Discord walked into the room. He smiled and jumped up at him.
This must be the Draconequus mommy was talking about. My daddy!
He hugged Discord.

Discord looked down at Allie and smiled softly. picking him up he walked upstairs. Making a small area for Allie, he set him down.
"Be good, I'll be right back." he smiled and started to head out.

Discord stopped at Sugarcube Corner.
"Pinkie?" he asked as he came up to the counter. The pink party pony popped up.
"Yes Dissy?" She smiled.
"Do you happen to have any cupcakes?" He asked her, getting a smile in response.
"What kind? Chocolate? vanilla? Rainbow Dash? " She said, holding up the rainbow Pegasus, who clearly did not like the idea of being made into a cupcake.
"Um, just chocolate, please." Discord looked at Rainbow, who had gotten out of Pinkie’s grip.
Pinkie smiled. "Okie dokie lokie!" she jumped into back holding out a chocolate cupcake. He chuckled and took it, heading back home.

Discord came home to Allie sleeping peacefully. The Lord of Chaos looked at him, and for the first time in his life... he felt as if he was truly at home. He picked Allie up. The young Draconequus was fast asleep. Discord smiled as he felt his soft fur. He put him on his bed and curled around him.
"Goodnight." he smiled, looking at him. Tomorrow he would write to Chrysalis, but for now... he needed some sleep.
