Battle between royal and racer (part one)
You let go of Twilights hoof and she did the same as Rainbow has done, placing it on her chest and rub it slightly with her other hoof.
She then turned to the multi-coloured pegasus, 'You're right Rainbow, it does feel weird.'
The pegasus just gave a look that said "I told you so" and was content on keeping it until you spoke, 'I guess the starting line is at the train station?'
'Yes,' Twilight said and then pointed a hoof toward the outskirts of town, 'the station is over there and the finish is in Canterlot.' she finished, pointing at the peaks of some mountains in the north.
'Oké,' You said as you were looking in the direction she was pointing, you then look back at her, 'Does any of you have a road map I can borrow so I can go over witch route to take?'
The four mares thought for a moment, until Pinkie piped up, 'Ow ow, I think AJ has one!'
They all nodded, but you raised an eyebrow, 'AJ?'
'It is short for Applejack,' Twilight explained, 'she is another friend that lives on a farm called Sweet Apple Acres on the other edge of town,
she most definitely have a map you can borrow.'
'Oké, and how can I get to Sweet Apple Acres?' You asked.
'I will bring you.' Said Fluttershy, she then hid behind a lock of her mane, 'I mean, if you want to.'
'I'd like that,' you said with a smile, 'shall we go right away?'
'B-b-but, what about my turn in your car?' Stuttered Twilight.
'I have a race to get ready for.' You said with a smirk, 'Speaking of witch, what time is the race going to start?'
'I'm not going to tell you, until I get to ride with you.' Twilight huffed.
You just shrug, 'Fine, that means it will be a time-trial race.'
'Time.. trial?' Asked Twilight.
'It basically means that who ever sets the best time, wins.' Explained Rainbow, witch earned a questionable eyebrow from everyone. 'What?' She said in milled annoyance, 'The Wonderbolts do them all the time.'
You wanted to ask Rainbow about these "Wonderbolts", but thought it was a better question for later, 'What ever the case, she's right.' You said, on to witch Rainbow gave a knowing smirk, 'The one that needs the least amount of time to finish, wins the race.'
'That sounds fair,' Said Twilight, 'but it would be more exiting if we go hoof to hoof. I'll need to check the time schedule of the train, but it would definitely be tomorrow. I will know when you return.'
The both of you agreed on that and you turn back to Fluttershy, 'Are you ready to go Fluttershy?'
She nodded and the both of you were on your way.

It took about ten minutes to get to the fence of Sweet Apple Acres, there were apple trees as far as your eyes could see.
Getting along the road though the rows of apple trees to what seems to be heading to a big, red and wooden building.
Getting closer to it, you see it seems to resembles a barn out of an old western. It was three story's tall, with the highest being a little tower with a weathercock on top, but instead of a rooster, there was an apple on top. The window frames are white and most of the windows had a planter hanging under it filled with flowers. One of the big double doors in the front was slightly open, probably indicating that someone was in there.
You came up to the double doors and Fluttershy knocked on the door that was still closed, 'Hello?' She said cautiously, 'Is anypony home?'
A big red pony with a blond mane came to the door, 'Oh, hello Big Mac,' Fluttershy said. By the sound of that name, you couldn't stop the images of a hamburger of a fast food chain from entering your mind, 'is your sister inside?' She asked.
'Nope.' Big Mac said with a heavy male voice.
'She's probably busy in the west field, right?' Fluttershy asked again.
'Eeyup.'
'Oké, Thanks Big Mac, we will look her up there.' She said and the stallion nodded.
When the two of you went on the west path, you look back at the now empty door, 'I think I like him already.' you said amused, you then turn to Fluttershy, 'But how did you know that Apple Jack was in the west field?'
'She was telling us about it yesterday.' She explained.
'Ah.' You said with that piece of information and followed the path until you hear a faint grunt, followed by a 'thump' and then a serie of things falling on the ground.
Getting closer to the sounds, you see a pony near an apple tree aligned with wooden baskets filled with apples, who looks more like the ones from your world. She has an orange coloured coat and a blond mane and tail that where bound at the ends by red rubber bands. The only thing that wouldn't make her a "your world kind of pony" was the Stetson hat she was wearing on her head.
'Hello Applejack,' Fluttershy said, trotting up to her friend, 'I hope we're not interrupting you?'
'Howdy Fluttershy,' Applejack said with a southern accent, as she hugged the pegasus, 'Y'all ain't interrupting me, I needed a break anyway, now what can I do you for?' she released the hug and than looked at you with a raised eyebrow, 'And what the heck is that kind of critter ya got there?'
'Well, his name is Anon and he is the reason why we are here.' Flutter shy said.
'Well uh,' Applejack said in mild confusion, rubbing the back of her neck with a hoof before continuing, 'I-it's nice to know ya Anon.' she then stretch a hoof out toward you.
You instinctively wanted to grab it, but you were able to hold back and thought back to the other two ponies you did that with and didn't like it that much, you quickly thought of an other form of greeting and only one came to mind. You formed your hand in a fist and then gave her hoof a bump with it, like a form of fist bump you'll do with good friends.
Her smile indicated that she was fine with it, making you smile in relief as you said, 'It is nice to know you to Applejack.'
Applejack looked baffled at you before she looked at Fluttershy, 'H-he can talk? How?'
After explaining her about how you were found and what had happened since then, her confused expression changed into one of understanding.
'So, that was that car of yours that made that ruckus coming from town not moments ago.' She stated, to witch you nodded and she continued, 'And now Twilight wants to race ya, her on the Ponyville Express and you in the car and that's why ya'll need a road map.'
You nodded again and said, 'That's right. So, do you have a map I can borrow?'
'Of course I got one you can borrow sugarcube,' Applejack said as she made her way back toward the building, 'it's at the home stead, but I can't believe Twilight wants to race ya, that's more Rainbow's style.'
'She probably wants to see if I could really beat the train, and if I can't, that she can rub it in.' You chuckle.
The two laughed slightly, 'Yeah well, that's Twilight for ya,' Said Applejack, 'always doing sciency stuff and ain't afraid to lecture ya about it when ya'll are wrong.'
'But she helps us as well with what she knows,' Defended Fluttershy, 'she even saved us a couple of times, she is a really good friend.'
'Indeed she is,' Said Applejack with a nod, 'I think I'm gonna join her tomorrow for your race, it sounds to be a hoot load of fun.'
Coming up to the double doors again, did Applejack turn to you, 'If ya'll wait here, then I'll be right back with a map from Ponyville to Canterlot.'
When she entered, you hear her call out, 'Hey Big Mac, do ya know where the roadmaps are at?!'
'Eeyup.'

It didn't take her long to get the map and gave it to you, 'Here ya go, this should do the trick.' Applejack said, 'I'll be coming with ya to get the time for when the race starts, but right after, I need to get back to my chores.'
You and Fluttershy nodded in understanding and you open the map for a quick glance. At first site, it seems to be a very detailed map. You could see Ponyville, Canterlot and the roads in between or went of to parts unknown.
You carefully refolded the map and put it in one of the back pockets of your pants, 'Thanks again for the map Applejack, of what I could see, would it be a great help.'
'Ah, no sweat sugarcube,' she said with a dismissive wave of her hoof, 'now lets get to Twi's place.'

As you return to Twilight's castle, you see the lavender mare scolding Rainbow Dash, who was sitting in the drivers seat of your car and Pinkie Pie was sitting on her rump, looking at them with worry.
It seems, since you were gone, that a new pony had joined the group. The white unicorn with a curly royal purple mane and tail was eyeing the lines of the car with trained eyes.
'Is that red thing yours?' Asked Applejack with disbelief, pointing a hoof toward the car.
'Yep,' You said, 'that's the car I told you about.'
As Applejack kept gauging, you silently crept up to Twilight and Rainbow.
You then leaned with one arm on the roof of the car and lowered your head to the level of the two mares, you then turn to the cyan pegasus, 'Sitting comfy Rainbow?'
'Yea!' She exclaimed, looking at you, 'It's really-' she stopped what she was about to say and stuttered , 'Anon.. I.. sitting.. uhm, bye!' with saying those last words, she zoomed out of the car and into the sky, leaving a rainbow trail behind.
You watched the rainbow trail for a while, until Pinkie spoke, 'You're not mad at Rainbow, are you?'
'Nah,' You said as you look at Pinkie with a smile, 'but she's not out of the woods yet.'
As the pink mare giggled slightly, you turn to Twilight, 'So, who's the new pony?' you said, pointing at the white unicorn.
'That's Rarity,' Twilight said, she turned and faced the white mare, 'Rarity, this is Anon, he is the owner of this machine.'
Rarity look up in your direction and smiled as she made her way toward you.
'Oh, I am so terrible sorry, where are my manners,' Said Rarity, her feminine voice had a trans-Atlantic English accent, 'it's a pleasure meeting you Anon.' she lifted her front leg up and kept her hoof in a horizontal position, like a lady would do as she wanted a gentleman to kiss it. But you just placed a flat hand under her hoof and lightly bobbed it up and down instead.
She didn't seem to mind your greeting and put her hoof down as you took your hand back, 'Rarity?' you said as the name sounded familiar,
'Wait, didn't that Spike fellow went to see you?'
'Why yes,' Said Rarity, 'he told me about you and this machine,' she pointed to the car, 'and when I heard that beastly roar, I had to see what was happening.'
'But I have to ask,' She contineud, 'where did you come up with these amazing lines on this machine? Their simply divine!'
You rub the back of your neck, 'I just bought it at the car dealership like this.'
'Really?' Rarity said, 'I can't believe that Spiky-Wiky is afraid of something that looks this marvelous.'
Tried as you might, you couldn't stop a little snort of laughter from escaping when you heard the nickname of the little guy.
'I think he is more afraid of me than the car,' You said after you composed yourself, 'but thanks for the complement.'
'You are welcome.' Rarity said with a smile.
You turn towards Twilight again, 'So, did you had any luck with finding a good time to start the race?'
'Yes I have,' She said with a hoof to her chest, 'The race will start at seven o'clock in the morning on the dot.'
'Uh, sugarcube?' Applejack said with worry, 'What if the train is late?'
'I have full confidence that it is on time.' Said Twilight with a cocky smile.
'Oké,' you said with a shrug, 'but I need a place to stay till then.'
'You can stay with me,' Fluttershy said quickly before shying away again, 'I mean, if you want to.'
Everyone looked at the mare in surprise.
'Sure,' you said after a while, 'Thanks Fluttershy.'
'Well,' Said Twilight, 'with that out of the way, I guess I'll see you tomorrow for the big race.'
You nodded and turned to Fluttershy, 'You go on ahead Fluttershy, I will take my car and drive it to your home.'
She nodded and the both of you said your goodbyes to the other mares.
As Fluttershy made her way home, you got into the car and drove the same way at a low speed so not to frighten any of the ponies.
Once at Fluttershy's house, you got out and locked the car with the key's remote as you enter the burrowed home of the pegasus.
Fluttershy was already busy with feeding the animals their dinner when you came in and as you close the door she turned to you, 'Hello again Anon, what would you like for dinner?'
'What do you have?' You asked.
'Oh, uhm.. I am not that great a cook,' She said blushing slightly, 'but I can make some salad and sandwiches.'
'That sounds great.' You said reassuringly, 'but at least let me help you with feeding the animals.'
'That would be great, thank you.' Fluttershy said and after the feeding, she made her way in to the kitchen and after a few minutes came back out with two plates with two sliced sandwiches on each and two bowls of salad that she balanced on her wings.
You sat down on the couch and took a bowl and plate from her, getting close to her muzzle as you did so, 'Thank you.' you said with a smile.
'No problem.' Fluttershy squeaked with a blush, making a dent in your wall versus cuteness.
The dinner went by quietly and after finishing, you helped out with the dishes.
Once done, the both of you got back in the living room and to the couch.
You then remembered that you still need to have a better look at the map you got from Applejack.
You took it out of the back pocket of your pants and sat back down on the couch, 'Almost forgot about this.' you said waving the folded map through the air and unfolded it before placing it on the coffee table.
With your finger you followed the route between Ponyville and Canterlot, memorizing every turn. Luckily, it seems their aren't many forks in the road, making it easy to memorize.
'Do you really think that you can beat the train Anon?' Fluttershy asked as you were looking over the map.
'I think so Fluttershy,' You said, sitting upright again, 'but I guess we'll find out tomorrow.'
You had memorized the route, so you folded the map back up again and placed it back where you got it from.
You gave your upper body a stretch, 'I think I'm going to sleep early today,' you said, relaxing from your stretch, 'I'll need to be well rested for tomorrow.'
'Well, you can take my bed if you want,' Said Fluttershy, 'I'll sleep here on the couch.'
You look wide eyed at the mare, 'I can't let you do that,' you said, 'I'm oké with sleeping on the couch. Besides,' you smiled at her, 'I think your bed is a bit to small for me.'
'O-oké, if you are really sure.' Fluttershy said, sounding a bit uncertain.
'Yes, I'm sure.' You said and chuckled a bit, 'Why, I was pretty comfy when I was passed out on your couch this morning.'
The mare giggled slightly, 'I guess I'll go to sleep as well, Good night Anon.' she said as she made her way up the stairs.
'Good night Fluttershy.'

When you woke up was it still somewhat dark out side, the first rays of the sun seeped though the window.
Even though you needed to get up early today, you still accurse your biological alarm clock for always waking you up so early and still feeling slightly tired.
You got up from the couch and gave your body a stretch.
You relax and look around the house, it seems you are the only one up yet and thought of something to do until Fluttershy is awake.
You look at the couch, then at you arms and an idea came to mind.
You took of the shirt you were wearing and lay it over the armrest, you then place you hands on the ground as well as placing your feet on the couch and start doing some push-ups.

You awoke to the light coming through the window and lighting your face, you let out a yawn as you stretch your body on the soft bed and listened to the sound of your surroundings.
You hear a little skirmish coming from downstairs, That's probably one of my animal friends, you thought as you jumped down from the bed and headed for the stairs, the poor thing must have gotten hungry and is looking for food.
But you stopped at the bottom of the stairs as you looked at the creature that was awake.
'Oh.. my.' You said, barely more audible than a whisper, as you looked at the creature that was doing a fitness exercise, shirtless.
You could see the muscles under the less furred skin of his upperarms tence and relax as he went.
For some reason you couldn't look away, as you have seen both Bulk Biseps and Iron Will do the same exercise in front of you and didn't captivate you this much, maybe it's because of the lack of fur.
You feel your cheeks heating up as your eyes went over his contracted armmussles to his eyes that were looking at you with a lifely shimmer, wait.. WHAT!
'Hello Fluttershy, good morning.' He said as he slided his feet from the couch to the ground and stood up.
'G-good morning A-Anon,' You said, getting more flustered now that you have a better look at his bare chest, 'I-I hope you s-slept well?'
'Yes, I slept great.' He said as he put his shirt back on and once it was on, he turned back to you and raised an questionable eyebrow to you, 'But uh, what's with you wings?' he asked, pointing at them.
You feel the heat in your face even more when you see that your wings were fully extended, you then turn back to him with a sheepish smile, 'Oh, i-it's nothing,' you said trying to pool them back to your side, 'j-just a morning stretch.'
'If you say so.' he said before you got your wings back to their rightful place.
'Any how,' He said, rubbing the back of his neck with is hand, 'I think we best get ready before the race starts.'
'Oké.' You said and thought for a moment, 'Would you please set up the food for the animals? Then I will make us some breakfast, that way we will be ready in no time.'
'Sounds like a plan.'

After the both of you had breakfast and cleaned up, did you look at the clock.
'Wow!' You said in shock, making Fluttershy jump a bit, 'We've only got about twenty minutes left before we need to be at the train station.'
'That's oké,' Fluttershy said, 'we're done here anyway, so we can head out if you want.'
'Then let's go.' You said as you went through the front door toward the car, 'I guess I'll see you there then.'
'Wait!' She called out to you as you stood by the drivers side door, you look back at her and saw her looking at the ground as she muttered something about stop doing baby steps, she then looked back up to you as she said, 'I-is it o-oké if I go with you?'
'You really want to give it a try?' You asked.
'Yes,' She said, 'if you don't mind.'
'No, I don't mind,' You said cautiously, 'but if you change your mind when we're at the train station, then it's oké too.'
Fluttershy nodded and you helped her into the car as well as trap her in, then you got seated behind the wheel and drove toward the train station.

When you arrived at the train station, you saw Twilight and the other girls waiting in front of it.
You pool up next to the lavender mare, shutdown the engine and opened your window, 'Good morning Twilight, I see you made it.'
'Yes,' she said, then glared at Rarity and Rainbow Dash as she hissed, 'no thanks to some ponies.'
Rarity just kept looking in a small mirror as Rainbow tries to stay awake.
'Any way,' Twilight said, looking back at you, 'where is Fluttershy?'
'Right here.' You said, gesturing to the passenger seat.
Twilight took a better look, 'Fluttershy?' she exclaimed with wide eyes, 'Are you going to ride with him?'
'Y-yes,' Said Fluttershy, looking at the floor, 'I didn't want to be afraid of this machine, so I asked if it was oké.'
'Are you still alright with coming with me?' You said with a worried look, ' I will be going a lot faster then just now, so if you want go with your friends, it's oké.'
'I'll be alright.' She said with a smile.
'Oké.' You said slightly worried, then turned back to Twilight, 'Are you ready to go?'
'Yes I am,' Twilight said with a smile, 'just remember, the race starts at seven sharp.'
'You better hurry to the platform then,' You said, pointing at the clock on the building, 'you only got five more minutes.'
'You're right,' she said as she also looked at the clock, 'then I guess I'll see you in Canterlot.'
You nodded to her and she made her way to the platform with her friends in tow.

You stood on the platform, as you are waiting for the train to come.
'Uh, Twilight?' Asked Rainbow, giving a loud yawn after, 'I know the train is mostly on time, but shouldn't it be here right now?'
'Hmm,' You thought out loud as you looked at the clock again, 'You're right Rainbow, normally it would be. There must be a slight delay, I think I should let Anon know.'
'But what if the train comes when you're there?' Said Pinkie, 'If it's already late, then I don't think we can hold it so you can get on.'
'Then I simply teleport on.' You said with a smile.
'No offence darling, but your teleports tend to go erratic when you're in a hurry.' Rarity countered.
You wanted to object to that, but as the bell of the clock rang for the hour, you hear the roar of the car and the skidding of it's wheels as it took off.
You feel your anxiety grow, 'H-he left, and the train isn't even here yet.'
'I tried to warn ya Twi,' Applejack said, 'but all we can do now, is wait.'
'Your right AJ,' you said, trying to relax, 'I just hope the train comes soon.'
So you waited.
And waited.
And waited some more, until a minute has past, you finally hear the train coming.
When it stopped at the platform, you entered the railcar. But not before giving the conductor a angry glare, making him jump back slightly in fear.
When you and your friends were seated, did the train leave the station and headed to Canterlot.
