"Alright then," the other Rarity said. "Just remember, you're on a 30-minute time limit. If you lose or 30 minutes passes, the normal Twilight will be trapped in the soul-eating jar."
The other Twilight then thought to herself, "Say, I should be able to see the other me..." She then looked down at the board and said to the normal Twilight, "Hey, other me."
The normal Twilight then turned around and said, "It's... You can talk to us?!"
"I guess so." She then sighed. "You know of the soul-eating jar, right?" Normal Twilight then nodded. "Good. Trust me, 30 minutes is more than enough time to beat the other Rarity." She then turned to the other Rarity as she rolled the dice. "I'll attack with Rainbow Dash." She rolled a 03. "03. Direct hit!"
Rainbow Dash then slashed at Tirek, injuring his right front leg and making him wince in pain. "Alright! If you think I'm afraid, you got another thing coming! My friends are here to back me up!"
"Now," the other Rarity said to the other Twilight. "You do realize that if your pieces are killed in-game, your friends will die in real life, right?"
"I know. I also know that none will die, because I'm watching over them."
Then, on the battlefield, a piece of Tirek's flesh that had been chopped off by Rainbow Dash began to change form. Spike said, "What is that thing?!"
Tirek said, "Whenever a piece of me falls off, it turns into a servant of mine." He then laughed and turned around to walk back to his castle. "If you manage to beat this servant, you may find me at my castle. I doubt you'll win, though, regardless of how you fare against my servant." The "servant" was a black dragon with blood-drenched teeth.
"Oh no," Fluttershy said as she cowered behind Twilight. "We're doomed."
"No, we're not." Twilight replied. "The other me will pull through."
"Say," the other Twilight said to the other Rarity. "I noticed something about the way you throw your dice."
The other Rarity questioningly asked, "What do you mean by that?"
"I'll demonstrate on my turn," the other Twilight said as she threw her dice. The tens die stopped first and landed on a 5. Then, the ones die suddenly struck the tens die, producing a 01. "You intentionally throw the tens die slower than the ones die, and if the tens die is bad, you vibrate the table to get the ones die to strike it. Now, I'll use Sweetie Belle to kill that recently-spawned monster."
Sweetie Belle then decapitated the dragon with one fell swoop, killing it. She said, "Aww yeah!"
"Fine, you got me." The other Rarity then sighed. "From now on, we'll just drop the dice down onto the board instead. Are you happy?"
"Now," Applejack said to the gang. "Let's go to that castle." The gang then walked through the forest on the board and to the front entrance of the castle, which was a drawbridge over a moat..
Pinkie Pie said, "Looks like the only way through is that drawbridge, but how do we open it?"
Suddenly, the drawbridge began to lower by itself. Scootaloo said to herself, "Well, that takes care of that problem."
The other Rarity then lifted up the roof of the castle, revealing a dark throne room and two towers with rooms on the bottom. She said to the other Twilight, "Tirek could be anywhere in this castle. Be careful." Then, as she began typing away at the game computer to determine when Tirek would appear, she lost control of her left arm. "What the hell?! My left arm is typing up something completely different!"
Once the message was complete, it read out, "MY NAME IS RARITY. I WILL NOT LET YOU KILL MY FRIENDS AND MY BOYFRIEND. I AM JOINING THIS BATTLE."
The other Rarity then yelled, "Shut up, Rarity!" She then stabbed her left hand with the spike of a castle tower, causing it to bleed. She said to herself, "There... Now don't interrupt again, host..."
The other Twilight smirked and smugly said, "Just as I thought. You really aren't the real Rarity."
"Shut up," the other Rarity retorted back. "You won't be so smug for long, because Tirek appears once more!" Then, Tirek appeared on the board in front of the gang, defending the throne. "Now, I'll roll!" "One thing Twilight didn't count on was the fact that my dice are infused with the souls of the dead as well," she thought to herself. "I can command them to roll any result I want!" Sure enough, she rolled a 00.
The other Twilight screamed, "Everyone! Look out!"
Then, Tirek lunged at the entire gang with fury in his eyes, saying, "Die, you pathetic fools!" The entire gang screamed in pain as they were blown back by the attack and fell to the ground.
The other Rarity said, "Haha, I wi- WHAT?!" She then looked at her computer screen. Shockingly, everyone was still alive, but with only 1 HP left. "How the hell are they not dead?!"
Suddenly, Tirek winced in pain as he clutched his left arm, which had been cut before. Then, a girl dressed in a white robe and a white wizard's hat appeared from his left arm. The purple hair and blue eyes immediately gave away who it was. "Hello, again, darlings! I'm White Wizard Rarity!"
Twilight immediately said as her eyes lit up, "You're okay!"
As the gang celebrated, Spike immediately ran up to her and hugged her tight, saying, "Oh my God... I thought you were a goner..."
Rarity returned the hug and quietly said to him, "I wasn't. Spike, we'll get through this together, and we'll win."
The other Rarity said, "How... How did she create an NPC from Tirek's arm?!"
"Friendship," the other Twilight replied. "It was friendship. Other Rarity, whoever you are, let it be known that the Elements of Harmony are on my side, and because of that, anything is possible. Now, it's my turn!" She then rolled a 18. "Not a direct hit, but good nonetheless. Go, Applejack!"
Applejack then said, "Got it, pal!" She then cocked her magic gun and fired several devastating shots at Tirek, knocking him to his knees. "Take that, ya damn psycho!"
Rarity said to her as she held up her staff, "By the way, let's just say I kinda helped with that by using a spell to slightly increase your attack power."
Tirek then told the gang, "Your luck runs out now!" He then opened his mouth and breathed fire at the gang.
The other Twilight yelled out to them, "Everyone! No!"
Then, Rarity said, "I won't let you!" She then stood in front of the gang and held her staff up to the inferno, diverting the fire away from the gang, but also using up her own HP to do so. She yelled at Tirek in searing pain, "You bastard!"
Spike yelled out, "Rarity! No!"
Finally, the fire attack ceased, and Rarity's arms dropped to her sides as she stared aimlessly at Tirek. Then, she fell to her knees and onto the ground, her HP reading 0. The other Rarity said, "Finally, my annoying host is dead!"
The other Twilight stared at the board in complete shock. She whimpered to herself, "Rarity... Rarity..."
Twilight, on the board, cried out as tears fell from her eyes, "Rarity! No! It can't be!"
Spike ran to her and picked up her upper body in his arms, crying to himself. Rarity, still alive, but barely, used her right hand to take her hat off and said to Spike, "Spike... I need to tell you something..." She then used the last of her strength to reach her hands out to Spike, grab him, and pull him in for a kiss, which he returned. "I love you... I'm sorry..." Then, Rarity fell limp and fell to the ground as a horrified Spike stared aimlessly in front of him.
Then, Spike threw his head up into the sky and yelled out her name, saying, "RARITY!!!"
Sweetie Belle then ran over and also hugged her sister's body, sobbing as she shook her body and said, "Wake up! Please, Rarity, wake up! Why aren't you..."
The other Twilight then threw her fist down on the table and said, "I... I WILL get her back... I will get her back, even if it's the last thing I do..." She then rolled her dice. "Please, be a critical or a super-critical!" Sure enough, she rolled a 00. "Go, other me!"
Twilight then swung at Tirek with her bare hands, which were magically enhanced due to the supercritical, and hit him in the chest, causing serious damage. She said, "This one's for Rarity!"
The other Rarity said to the other Twilight, "You can't! I won't allow it!" Suddenly, though, the real Rarity appeared before her. "What the hell?! How are you still alive?!"
"I won't let you control my body anymore," said Rarity in her thoughts. "This ends now!" She then used her right hand to pick up the dice from the other Rarity and smash them onto the table.
The other Twilight, who only saw the dice lift into the air and then get thrown onto the table to be destroyed, said to herself, "Her dice were destroyed!"
"No," the other Rarity said to herself. "My dice!"
"This ends now," the other Twilight said as she rolled her dice. Sure enough, she rolled a 00. "Spike, I'll let you have the honors."
Spike, on the board, replied, "Gladly." He then charged at Tirek as he cast a destruction spell, yelling, "DIE!!!" Then, he unleashed a fury of fire and lightning upon Tirek, who screamed in pain as he burned to death. Finally, Tirek disappeared.
Apple Bloom yelled, "We did it! We beat Tirek!"
Twilight smiled and looked at her other self, thinking, "We really did do it together..."
The other Rarity, in a state of shock, said to herself as she stood up, "I... I lost... How did you defeat Tirek?!"
"Whoever you are," the other Twilight said as she also stood up. "You lost because placed too much trust into just one being. I, on the other hand, placed trust in a group of friends, and unlike you, I actually respect and care about the other me."
The other Rarity yelled, "You worthless piece of shit! Friendship will still get you nowhere!"
Then, the other Twilight's eyes and horn glowed as she said, "And since this is a Shadow Game, the loser must face a penalty game, just like you said. It's time for you to be gone from my friend's body!" Then, she stuck her right hand out, her 5 fingers extended, and yelled, "MIND CRUSH!"
The other Rarity screamed as the penalty game took affect, a photo-negative light forming over her before cracking away to the sound of shattering glass, cutting off her scream and revealing the real Rarity underneath. Rarity then collapsed to the floor, unconscious, as the rest of the gang began to wake up back in their old bodies.
"I have shattered the evil spirit that possessed your body, Rarity." The other Twilight then saw the soul of the normal Twilight form up in a ball as the gang watched. Then, the ball of light entered the Alicorn Puzzle. "Welcome back..."
Sweetie Belle immediately noticed Rarity unconscious and ran over to her to wake her up, saying, "Sis! Wake up!"
Then, Rarity opened her eyes and said to her, "I'm... I'm alive..." She then stood up and hugged her sister, telling her, "I'm so sorry for putting you through that, Sweetie..."
"You didn't," Sweetie Belle replied. "It was that other Rarity."
Then, Rarity turned her attention to Spike. She ran over to him and kissed him again on the lips, much to his surprise. She then pulled away, smiled, and said, "That's for saving us, darling."
The other Twilight then transformed back into her normal self as Rainbow Dash and Applejack hugged her. Rainbow Dash said to her, "You were awesome, Twilight!"
Applejack said to Twilight as they split, "Ya really came through for us on and off the board!"
Twilight then told the gang, "Everyone... Thank you."
Flash Sentry then said to Spike, "So, are you and Rarity a-"
Rarity and Spike both said to him in reply, "Yep." They both then blushed as Spike said to her, "So... Uhhh... Wanna go do something tomorrow?"
"Of course," Rarity replied. "I'd love to do something with you, Spike."
Scootaloo said to Sweetie Belle, "Looks like your sister finally found a boy, eh?"
Sweetie Belle laughed and said, "I guess you're right."
Twilight then thought to herself, "I finally got to see the other me today. It was like looking in a mirror in some ways, to be honest. I'm glad I did, though. I can't wait to see what the next battle will look like. Hopefully, it isn't as pressing or deadly at this, of course!"
