The other Twilight's elevator ride ended at the opening to one of 2 duel platforms in a second Duel Monsters arena. It followed the same pattern as before: 2 yellow movable platforms with microphones connecting each player to each other. The arena's stands were packed to the brim with people, all chanting for Nightmare Moon.
She thought to herself as she stepped onto her platform, "Nightmare Moon, you have inflicted pain onto not only my friends, our families, and your own apprentice, but also possibly thousands more. I'll never forgive you, even if you beg for mercy at my feet when I am through with you."
Nightmare Moon also stepped out onto her platform. She smiled and thought to herself, "The day of reckoning has come. My deck has the 3 most powerful regular cards in the game, the Blue-Eyes White Dragons. No card in the world exists that can defeat them!" Then, she talked to Twilight through her mic, saying, "Congratulations on getting this far, really. I am impressed by your performance, Twilight. It's almost a shame that this is where your little journey ends."
"Enough of the small talk," the other Twilight replied. "Let's get on with this." She then set down Celestia's deck as both platforms moved away from their starting positions and leaned over the arena floor.
"You're right," Nightmare Moon said back. "At this point, words are meaningless. The only things that shall decide our fates now are the cards we possess."
"I believe in Celestia's deck," the other Twilight thought to herself. "I will win."
Applejack said to herself as she and the others watched from the stands, "Please win, Twilight. Please win."
TWILIGHT: 2000
NIGHTMARE MOON: 2000
Then, the lifepoint counter above the arena set Twilight and Nightmare Moon's life points to 2000, starting the duel. Nightmare Moon said, "Now, let's begin. I'll go first." She then drew a card and placed another card down onto a monster zone. "I'll summon Hitotsu-Me Giant with 1200 attack!"
"Now it's my turn," the other Twilight replied. "I'll summon Winged Dragon, Guardian of the Fortress #1 in attack position with 1400 attack!" Both monsters stared each other down as the audience roared with anticipation. "Attack her giant with a fireball!" The Hitotsu-Me Giant was easily destroyed as it screamed in pain before shattering.
TWILIGHT: 2000
NIGHTMARE MOON: 1800
Nightmare Moon then drew her next card. "Eh, that didn't hurt a bit, Twilight. Now I'll summon Saggi the Dark Clown!"
The other Twilight said to herself, "Saggi the Dark Clown? It's attack is nothing."
"Your Winged Dragon has 1400, and my Dark Clown only has 600, putting me at a disadvantage." Then, Nightmare Moon played another card. "But if I equip it with this card..."
The other Twilight thought, "Uh oh..."
"Then my Dark Clown's attack is tripled! My Negative Energy Generator spells your Winged Dragon's death!" Saggi then grew in size as the power of Negative Energy Generator strengthened it. "Now, attack! Dark Light!" Saggi then formed a ball of dark energy and threw it at the Winged Dragon, destroying it.
TWILIGHT: 1600
NIGHTMARE MOON: 1800
"Damn it," the other Twilight said to herself. "I hope I can draw a card that has over 1800 attack soon."
Meanwhile, the second battle was just beginning. Aqua Lily said to Flash Sentry, "Are you ready?"
"Of course," Flash replied. "And I'm gonna win."
Then, Lila Love started playing with her controller, causing Aqua Lily to punch at Flash Sentry. Fluttershy immediately moved Flash Sentry out of the way with her controller before she pressed the A button, causing Flash to jump into the air. She said to herself, "Oh no! I should have pressed B probably."
Aqua then landed a punch on a confused Flash Sentry, causing his hit count to climb to 7%. Pinkie Pie said, "Don't lose your step, Fluttershy!"
"I'm trying," Fluttershy replied. Finally, she moved Flash Sentry into a good position and managed to have him give a hard punch to Aqua, causing her hit count to rise to 6%. "Alright!"
"There we go," Flash Sentry said confidently. "Now the real fight has begun!"
Lila Love replied, "Oh yes, it has." She then pressed several buttons rapidly, entering a combo into the controller that caused Aqua to jump into the air and land a devastating roundhouse kick into Flash Sentry, causing his hit count to rise to 20%.
Fluttershy quietly said to herself as she facepalmed in disbelief, "Oh no..."
Nightmare Moon asked a frozen other Twilight, "What's wrong? Are you afraid?"
The other Twilight thought to herself, "Nightmare Moon knows this game in and out. But I know that Celestia put her heart and soul into this deck. There must be something that can defeat anything in my path." She then drew a card that confused her. "What the hell is this? 'Left Leg-Element of Honesty?' This card isn't powerful enough, despite it being named after an element of harmony for some reason. I'll use a different one instead to defend myself until I draw a more powerful card." She then set a card in defense position.
"Well, well," Nightmare Moon said. "I see you wish to defend. Too bad my Dark Clown will just kill it. Dark Light!" Saggi then destroyed the other Twilight's set monster.
Spike yelled out to the other Twilight, "C'mon! What the hell are you doing?!"
Meanwhile, Flash Sentry and Fluttershy had begun putting up a better fight than before. Aqua Lily barely avoided several punches thrown by Flash Sentry as he rapidly fired at her. She said to him, "Not bad."
"I see you remember the basics," Lila Love said to Fluttershy.
"I sure do," Fluttershy replied. "My friends showed me how to play combat games back home." She then created a combo of her own, causing Flash Sentry to jump and deliver a hard-hitting twisting kick to Aqua Lily. Her hit count jumped from 10% to 26% as a result, a devastating blow. However, Flash's hit count also jumped from 20% to 23%. "Wait, why did his hit count go up too?"
"Combos drain your energy slightly," Lila Love said. "You should have weakened Aqua Lily more before doing that. Now, attack!" Aqua Lily then punched Flash Sentry before kneeing him, causing him to fall to the floor on pain. His hit count rose to 30%.
Rainbow Dash said to herself, "Please, Flash, keep yourself alive. There's no way you should lose to those creeps."
After several turns of the other Twilight's monsters being wiped out by Saggi the Dark Clown, Nightmare Moon said, "So this is the deck Celestia left you? It's pathetic at best. In fact, I can even hear her dying breath from those cards."
This struck a nerve with the other Twilight, who defiantly replied with, "Princess Celestia is NOT dying. She trusted me with these cards because she knew I was capable. Nightmare Moon, do your cards trust you as much as you trust them?"
Nightmare Moon, confused, asked, "What?"
"I know that these cards will be true to me," the other Twilight exclaimed before drawing her next card. When she looked at it, she smiled. "I summon Gaia the Fierce Knight, with 2300 attack, more than enough to destroy your Dark Clown!" As Gaia formed, Nightmare Moon looked on in surprise. "Now, attack!" Gaia then began to charge directly at Saggi. "Spiral Saber!" As soon as she uttered those words, Gaia's lance struck Saggi, causing him to disappear in a spiraled shape. "Take that!"
TWILIGHT: 1600
NIGHTMARE MOON: 1300
Rarity and Spike both said, "Go, Twilight!" Applejack cheered and clapped as the guards looked on in worry.
"This battle is not over yet," the other Twilight said.
Nightmare Moon said back, "Oh, but the ending is clear to me." She then drew a card to signal her turn before smiling and laughing to herself. As she set down her next card, she called out, "Blue-Eyes White Dragon!"
As the Blue-Eyes formed, the other Twilight said, "Oh no! Not the Blue-Eyes!"
The crowd went wild as the dragon took shape, with many saying that the other Twilight was going to lose. Applejack said, "Twilight, just focus on the game! Don't panic!"
"Now," Nightmare Moon said confidently. "Blue-Eyes White Dragon... Burst Stream of Destruction!" The dragon formed a massive ball of lightning in its mouth as it roared loudly. Then, the ball fired at Gaia in the form of a beam of light, wiping him out completely and causing the other Twilight to recoil away from the bright light.
TWILIGHT: 0900
NIGHTMARE MOON: 1300
"Now you're finished," Nightmare Moon said. "No card can stop the Blue-Eyes White Dragon, Twilight! Prepare for your defeat!"
The other Twilight thought to herself as she looked at her cards, "Celestia... What should I do...?"
