Hooves hitting the cold, rocky ground echoed through the tunnels of a cave. The panic in the pony’s hoof steps was clear as day. The white unicorn, who donned a special looking set of royal guard armor. His armor was more aerodynamic and more skin tight tan normal armor. On his right shoulder, the armor bore a crest in the shape of a shield with an image representing all of the pony races separating the shield into three parts with a blue heart in the middle of the shield. The guard sprinted as fast as he could, unable to see what was in front of him, but he just continued running. His breath was so heavy it could hold down a full grown dragon. He looked back to see if anyone was following him. No one was in sight, but he didn't want to risk it, he kept his pace.
“Gotta…. warn… Everyone!” He muttered as he continued. His hopes lifted as he saw a glimmer of light up ahead. He felt his heart pounding harder than ever before. That heart beat nearly stopped as his heart sank down into his stomach. The light he saw turned green and split into three different green lights as they hovered at about the height of a pony’s head. He stopped in his tracks about 10 meters from the lights.
“H-how?!” He stuttered, his breath still as heavy as Canterlot. He turned around and planted his back hooves ready to run, but he stopped mid gallop as he saw two more green lights about 5 meters behind him. They slowly drew closer, causing the guard to back up. He turned to run only to see the three lights ahead were directly in his face. He shivered in fear, his lips shook like an earthquake was occurring in his mouth. Then, a pair of eyes opened just below the center light. The eyes glowed green and had a purple, smokey aura formed around them.
“I'm sorry, but we don't think that Equestria should know we're here yet. It's not ready for us, yet.” A low, raspy voice came from where the eyes were floating. The guard's eyes widened in horror as two more pairs of eyes opened underneath the green lights on the outside of the center eyes. The eyes shared the same features as the center pair of eyes. The lights above the eyes all glowed brightly. The pony gasped in horror and let out a shriek of pain as the lights converged on him. That shriek echoed through the tunnels of the cave. The shriek was abruptly cut off, blood splattered all over the cave walls where the pony was. The shriek was replaced by a maniacal laughter. The eyes all closed and the lights slowly faded as the laughter died down to an eerie silence that would make anypony shake in their place.
