So I wake up on twilight’s sofa in the library with a pounding headache…..wait…….I just woke up, I don’t remember going to sleep or being in twilight’s library for that matter, I rubbed my temple with my hand and slowly opened my eyes and my gaze fell upon a pair of magenta coloured eye’s leaning over me that belonged to a cyan figure with a rainbow mane ‘rainbow?’ she looked like she’d been crying but what about I wondered, then she smiled and turned her head away to speak to some pony.
“Hey, twilight, silver, he’s coming to” she said before turning back to face me with those magenta eyes and happy smile plastered across her muzzle.
“Hey sleepy head, about time you woke up” she said in a calm relaxed tone
“Well hey there beautiful……erm dash, what happened?” I said still rubbing my head, I tried to sit up but she put a hoof on my chest keeping me from moving.
“You need to stay still and rest, after what happened to you, you’ll need it Twi says” she said sternly
“But what happened? How did I wake up here in the library? Last thing I remember was walking through town with you and silver”
“I’ll be happy to answer that” said a male voice on my left, I turned my head and I saw silver with twilight next to him, she was floating a book and a piece of paper and quill just slightly above her head.
“Well then silver please explain because how the hell did I get here”.
“Well……….” He began
Flashback silver POV 30 minutes prior
Me, rainbow dash and matrix were walking through town square, talking about what happened in the fight, matrix was looking at his hands still in disbelief of what he did and in truth I was as well, he had told us that ‘humans’ where he came from didn’t have magic at all but to be honest I didn’t even know whether to call it magic that he had. Then my stomach reminded me that I was hungry, having not eating any breakfast this morning.
Matrix seemed to hear this as well and his own stomach growled as well so he offered to get us some food. We walked up to the nearest stall where an orange mare with a blonde mane and cowpony hat was selling apples, he bought a small bag of apples and offered one to me and dash and took one for himself then we went on our way to the library again.
After eating our snacks we still had a fair part of the town to cross before we got to the library but that’s when things went bad.
suddenly matrix screamed out in pain, I turned my head towards him and saw him in the floor writhing around in pain.
his hands were glowing in the same glowing aura from the fight earlier but this time it was slowly crawling up his arm and then engulfed his whole body with him still screaming in pain, his eyes were glowing pure white and I could see black lines that looked like flames slowly appear on his arms and where dancing around like it was actually on fire, by now rainbow was standing over him crying heavily ‘she must really care for him that much’ and a small crowd was beginning to form as well.
“Silver we’ve got to get him to the library and fast, twilight might know what’s happening to him” she said with worry in her voice.
I simply nodded and flared my magic and tried to lift him with it and to my surprise he wasn’t that heavy so when I had a decent hold on him rainbow started flying towards the library with me running and levitating the still glowing, writhing in pain human in tow.
A few minutes later we arrived at the library but rainbow didn’t hesitate to barge through the door into the large tree house with me following suit.
“TWILIGHT YOU GOTTA HELP US” she shouted out loud, her outburst had attracted the attention of some pony as I could hear hurried hoof steps from another room and then a door opened on the other side of the main room.
‘I couldn’t tell but I think my mouth was hanging open at what I was gazing at, a lavender coloured unicorn with deep eyes and purple mane with highlights, she was a thing of beauty in my eyes, then I saw her cutie mark on her flank and…..wait no….bad Sean bad Sean’
“Hey, silver are you gonna put him down or what?” said rainbow, it seems that I had zoned out gazing at the unicorn I guessed was called twilight. I nodded to rainbow and carefully placed matrix on the sofa but he was still moving around, his eyes still glowing brightly with the black flames moving on his arms that had now moved up to his neck.
Rainbow was simply staring at him with tear filled eyes and worried look then twilight came over to his side, still floating the book and paper.
“What’s wrong with matrix?” asked twilight
“I don’t know but it can’t be good……he seemed fine after the fight then”-
“He got in a fight, when, how?” asked twilight cutting her of so rainbow told her everything that happened earlier this morning up till now from the fight till him becoming the situation he currently is in. Then twilight went over to him and looked him up and down writing everything down and then she used her horn to ‘I think’ examine him with her magic, after a couple of seconds she stopped then wrote something down on the paper.
“From what I can tell he has some sort magic source that I can’t pinpoint which is odd because he said before that his kind don’t have magic am I right rainbow”
“Yeah your right he did say he didn’t have magic” replied rainbow
“Right, well I have to write to the princess about this”
“Ok you go do that” said rainbow who’s gaze hadn’t left matrix
“Are you ok rainbow” she asked quizzically
“Yeah I’m fine you just go do your letter thing”
“Ok rainbow” she then walked up to me and asked
“Erm hello who are you”
‘Great I had zoned out again and was blindly staring at her….again!’ if there is a deity why do you hate me right now’
“Oh sorry just daydreaming names silver and I’m a friend of your friend here” I said whilst gesturing a hoof towards the struggling human
“Well hello to you to my name is twilight sparkle and any friend of matrix is a friend of ours, but right now I need to send a letter to the princess so if you’ll excuse me” she said then walked of the a desk on the other side of the room, she floated over a new piece of paper and began scribbling down on it then called out.
“SPIKE I HAVE A LETTER FOR YOU TO SEND, QUICKLY!!” she shouted to some pony I think was upstairs but my own thought was answered when I heard a loud grown come from some pony upstairs, I then he heard hoofsteps….no wait they sounded more like claw steps then my attention turned to see a door at the top of the stairs open and out walked and purple and green baby dragon
“I just got back from canterlot and I’m really tired from the trip what so important that you need to-WHAT IS THAT THING!” he said whilst pointing a claw at the struggling human.
“He’s the human I told you about when you got back remember spike” said twilight who had a rolled up scroll in her magic.
“Well what’s wrong with him?” asked the baby dragon
“We don’t know but I hope the princess knows what is wrong so if you would spike could you send this letter please” asked twilight
“Yeah sure give it here then” said spike with a bored like tone, then took a deep breath and then breathed fire on the letter which simply disintegrated into thin air
“Well I’m of back to bed now” he said while storming of back upstairs slamming the door
“Well he seems pissed” I said out loud which earned me a stare from twilight
“Sorry” I quickly apologized but then a bright light engulfed my vision and when it cleared my jaw fell open.
“Princess Celestia, Princess Luna” exclaimed twilight before bowing so I quickly did a she did having not been in the presence of royalty before
“We came as quickly as we could and you may rise twilight sparkle, you as well ‘Sean silverstien”
“How do you know my name?” I asked dumbfounded that she actually knew my name.
“As a princess it is my duty to know the names of my subjects” she said in an angelic like voice
“Well ok then…..your majesty” I spoke hesitantly still creeped that’s she knew my name, celestia then turned her head back towards the struggling human with rainbow simply looking over him still crying then turned to face the other alicorn I now knew as princess Luna.
“Sister do you think you could see into his mind and try to find what is wrong you are more skilled at looking into dream’s than I am” she asked her sister.
“O-o-of course sister…..I’ll try” says the dark blue alicorn as she walks over to matrix, still glowing and screaming, when she reached him, she slowly lowered her horn to touch his forehead then a small white flash enveloped matrix and after a few seconds it disappeared and matrix was now lying on the sofa sleeping, the glow that had consumed him was gone, the black flames on his arms had also disappeared and I’m guessing that his eyes had stopped glowing although I couldn’t see them.
When the princess was happy with whatever she had done, she moved away from him and turned back towards us.
“Sister, what did you see in fact what did you do?” asked celestia
“Well when I went into his mind, all I could see was pain, darkness and……and nightmare’s……..but they felt real…….but I wasn't there……just watching…………so I tried to find a happier memory within and I found one…….so I unlocked and I ‘think’ released it which in turn stopped whatever was causing him pain but even I’m unsure what exactly happened but all I can say is this, ‘if’ this happens again what you should try to do is go into his mind and find a happy memory to supress whatever it is inside him”
We all must have been a bit confused but in the end we finally understood what the princess meant
“So by doing this, it could help him with his nightmares he’s been having too” twilight asked curiously
“Yes twilight sparkle it should help him” replied Luna
“Well that is one problem solved but that still leaves one mystery to be unsolved and that is to find out how he now has magic, having said that he nor any other human has possessed it before” said twilight.
“your right my student but I think that will have to wait until he wakes up, as I would like to hear his side to all of this and I hope you don’t mind us staying here until he wakens” said celestia
“Of course princess I’ll go prepare us some tea” she said cheerfully before trotting of towards what I presumed was the kitchen to make beverages whilst both princess went into another room in the other side library filled with books.
So that left me and rainbow, she had just sat there through the whole ordeal but now she was smiling for the first time since matrix had become ‘possessed’ if you could call it that and was just watching him now sleeping peacefully.
Present
“Well that’s what happened and you’ve been out for about half an hour now at least” I said after explaining everything to him leaving out the embarrassing things because I wanted to keep some dignity
Character switch matrix POV
“Well that clears up why I woke up on the sofa with a splitting headache but you said the princesses where here cause I don’t see them any”…..
“Ah matrix I see your awake”
“HOLY CRAP” I shouted before falling on the floor dragging rainbow with me
“Ow, oh sorry princess you just scared me” but by now I could hear what I think was Luna rolling around on the floor laughing her flank of even celestia and rainbow couldn’t stifle a laugh
“I’m sorry for startling you matrix and you can drop the formalities and please call me celestia or Tia if you wish”
“And you may call me Luna if you also wish” spoke Luna who had finally managed to calm herself down
“Oh don’t worry about it……erm Tia and I also want to thank you ‘Luna’ for helping me”
“And on that subject I don’t suppose you would mind telling us your side to all this perhaps staring with the fight”
“Oh coarse Tia, well how can I put it….erm well when I threw that punch when they attacked me first, normally my hand would be hurting from throwing a punch that hard but it didn’t surprisingly so when I looked at my hand it has this wired, glowing aura around it like when a unicorn uses his or her magic then when I did this move where I punched the ground, there was this shockwave that knocked them all away but at the same time everything looked like it was going in slow motion, but the weirdest thing about all this is that I didn’t seem to have any control over it what so ever”
“from what you’re saying matrix, it seems that you have started to develop magic, but even I can’t come to a conclusion as to how, but what I can guess is that since you said you have no control over it, it only appears at certain times” said celestia
“Well I guess I can believe that, but on another note excuse me for my outburst, I HAVE MAGIC HELL YEAH” I exclaimed throwing a random punch in the air gaining a few laughs from every pony in the room
“Tea’s ready” said twilight as she came in from the kitchen floating a tray with mugs of tea towards us as I got off the floor and sat on the sofa (yeah I call it a sofa not a couch, I’m British) twi passed my one of the mugs of tea as well as one for every pony else, I took a sip and let the warmth of the hot liquid sooth my taste buds
“OHMYGOSHYOU’REOK!!!” said a wild pinkie pie, shouting down my ear hole
“WHAT THE CRAP!!”
i have come to a conclusion.............writers block is an absolute pain in the ass.............. nuff said on that............. well i hope you guys liked it anyway RM laterz
