Later on in Ponyville after Colin was teleported to Equestria by the Light Spirits of Hyrule that helped Link as his guidance in his adventures, the boy was hanging out and mingling with two of his new friends that Link introduced him to earlier, which was Lyra and Bon Bon. He was really taking a liking out of these two mares, as the same for his other new friends of Ponies and one baby dragon. Right now, Link was tending to the animals at Fluttershy's cottage while the boy was having a little short walk with the two best friends at the moment since his brother figure was busy.
"So Lyra, Bon Bon, how long have you guys been friends?" The apprentice asked curiously
"For as long as we can remember." Said Lyra. "Since the day we met in kindergarten. We're besties, right, Bon Bon?"
"Yep, we are that close." Bon Bon added. Then the two hugged one another.
"Besties!" They both said proudly.
"That's good to hear." The child said with a small smile.
"So, Colin, how long have you and Link been friends?" Lyra asked him in return.
"Quite a while. Maybe not as long as you two, but still a long time. Link is one of the greatest people I know, so brave, and courageous, and considering the fact that he saved Hyrule from Ganondorf and his minions."
"I know, it sounds like he is." Said Bon Bon. "He is such a nice and sweet guy, you know?"
"Yeah, I know." Said Lyra. "And he saved the town from a couple of pointy-eared monsters with machetes.."
"Wait, were they Bokoblins?" Colin remembered encountering a few monsters that were identical to what they just talked about, and remembered fighting a number of those annoying foul beasts back in Hyrule with Link.
"Yeah, that's what Link called them." Bon Bon remembered.
"Yeah, Link totally whooped their butts one to three."
"How did they get to Equestria?"
"Good question. I wish I knew." Bon Bon replied. "That was rather weird and peculiar. I mean what's next? Diamond dogs coming to Ponyville and attacking him too?"
"Diamond dogs? what are they?"
"It's a long story. It's not that important anyway. Okay, i'll tell you, they are monsters that look like dogs that dig for gold and are rather mean and greedy." Lyra answered anyway
"Hmm."
"So, now that are hanging out together, would you like to come do something fun with us?" Lyra offered kindly
"I guess why not. What should we do?"
"Hmmmm, oh I know! How about we play hide and seek." Bon Bon offered. "In the park."
"Sure." He smiled. They all went to the park, and stopped at a peculiar spot on the grass. "So, who will be counting?"
"I will." Said Lyra. Then she covered her face on a tree trunk and started counting from one. The other two scattered and split up to a find a good hiding spot. Bon Bon found a large log in between two trees. Colin hid in the bushes not far from her. He thought it was a good idea because of his green clothes that will help him blend in with the plants.
"Coming! Ready or Not!" The mint green unicorn called out in a distance. Colin giggled and kept quiet as possible. He peeked through the branches like he was a Lizalfos hiding to catch whoever it can kill, but of course the boy would never do something like that.
He breathed quietly and meanwhile with Bon Bon, she was quietly giggling, thinking that her best friend will never find her in that log. However, she had miscalculated and heard her footsteps.
"Found you." The green unicorn said playfully. The two friends laughed and hugged.
"You didn't cheat, did you?" Bon Bon asked teasingly
"No no no, silly. I just had a hunch. Now let's go find Colin."
Back with the boy, He waited a little while and then after a few minutes, He felt something gently touching him. He turned around and it was the two besties.
"Peek a boo I found you!" Lyra said playfully. Colin laughed.
"You found me." he said. "So, who wants to count next?"
"I'll do it." Bon Bon offered
"Okay." Then Lyra was the one hiding out along with Colin. They were all having fun together and the boy felt more welcoming to Equestria than before.
Back in Fluttershy's cottage, Link was just about finished giving a badger a bath with Fluttershy helping him.
"There mister Trufflehunter, good as new." Said Fluttershy. "All nice and clean." The critter chittered happily answered said thank you to her. "Oh you're welcome. Always happy to help any animal."
"Thanks for y or help, Fluttershy. I really appreciate it." The Hylian kindly remarked to her.
"Of course, I should thank you for helping me, Link."
Then out of nowhere, Link felt a sharp pain in his head and felt his ears ringing intensely. He tries to ease his pain, but to no avail. He groaned loudly as he vent to his knee.
Fluttershy gasped. "Oh my goodness! What's wrong, Link?" She hovered over him to see what the problem was with him from this unexpected migraine.
"Ahh! I don't know." He replied in agony. Then he had a vision of the one with the insect-like equines called changelings that Celestia, Luna, and the others in Equestria told him about, and then, he saw Ganondorf laughing wickedly on his demonic steed in a background of Hellfire.
Then the pain ceased to exist, and stopped immediately. He was very confused and had no idea what just happened. He slowly got back up, trying to mentally recover from this unexpected visions.
"What happened, Link?" Fluttershy put her hooves on his shoulder for comfort.
"I...... don't know. It was.... another vision with the changelings, and Ganondorf was in it too. It was so painful, like someone was stabbing me right in my brain."
"Goodness, should we tell princess Celestia and Luna about this then?"
"Well, they with Princess Cadence and Shining Armor are working on what is going on aren't they?" He sighed. "Let's just see what happens I'm the future. I'm pretty sure it's nothing. I just need..... done apple cider to help me."
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah, i'm sure."
"Alright, I am just worried about you."
"It's alright, I thank you, but i'll be fine. And, since I am done with the animals, I should probably go look for Colin now."
"Oh of course."
"He's probably still with Lyra and Bon bon, right?"
"I am pretty sure he is, they did say they would take good care of him, did they?"
"Yeah, they did." I'll be right back." Then h went out the front door to look for his little brother.
Back in the main part of town, Colin was still with the two best friends, and they were done with their little game of hide and seek. Right now, they were walking to see what they were going to next together. Then, the boy didn't know where he was going and accidentally bumped into somepony in the head.
"Ow!" They both exclaimed. The other voice sounded like a little boy's voice, except it sounded a little more British. He looked and it was Pipsqueak.
"You okay, Colin?" Bon Bon asked
"Ow, i'm fine." He replied. The. He looked at the boy he accidentally clashed heads with. "Oh, I am so sorry. I didn't see you there." Colin said
"No, it's my fault. I was running and I didn't see where I was going." The colt replied. "Please forgive me. Ow." Then he recognized him immediately. "Hey, you're the guy from Hyrule."
"Yeah. I am."
"So, are you Link's brother?"
Colin was starting to become a little annoyed with that question everyone keeps wondering about, but nevertheless, he replied "well, i'm not exactly his brother, but he is kind of like one to me."
"Oh. What's your name?"
"Colin."
"The name's Pipsqueak from Trottingham, but you call just call me 'Pip' if you would please."
"Nice to meet you Pip."
"Wow, that is a cool sword and shield there, almost kid of Link's." he admired the weapons on the young Hylian's back.
"Thanks. It was my daddy's sword and shield, and one of my neighbors made this shield for him. It was soon given to Link but then after he got the master sword and Hylian shield, he decided to give these to me."
"Can I look at them?"
"Sure." then he got out his Ordon sword for the colt to look at, and showed it to him. "So, what do you think?"
"Well, I admit, it is rather cool and impressive. To be honest, not as cool as the Master Sword, but still cool anyway if you do not mind."
"Not at all." then the boy put the sword back in his scabbard.
"You know, I like you, Colin. We should hang out together sometime."
"Yeah, we should. And I like you too."
"Good."
"Say, you want to see something cool?"
"Sure, what's that?" then Colin took out the shadow crystal Midna gave him back in Hyrule and transformed into his wolf cub form. Pip was really surprised and amazed by it. "Wow, that's awesome! you're like a.... a werewolf."
"Well, I don't know about a werewolf, but still."
"Definitely like Link, since he can transform into a wolf too." Pip admired.
"Hmm-mm." then he transformed back into his human self.
"Colin! Oh, there you are." It was Link running up to the boy. he panted as he was saying "I'm done with the animals in the cottage, so we can spend some time together now." then he noticed the colt. "Oh hello, Pip. I see you met Colin."
"Yeah I did. He is really cool."
"Good."
"Can I hang out with him some time, Link?"
"Of course you can, buddy." then he looked at Lyra and Bon Bon. "How was he? did you have fun together?"
"Yep we had a lot of fun, Link." Lyra replied to him.
"Yeah, he is such a bundle of joy." then they both hugged him
"Good. Alright, Colin, let's go back to the cottage."
"Okay, see you guys, later."
"Bye, Colin."
then the boy went back to the cottage with Link.
The Next day
Link and Colin were out on a little walk with all Fluttershy on this fine morning in Ponyville. "So, what do you think we should do together?" Fluttershy asked curiously.
"Well, I think I should eat something. I can't do something while on an empty stomach eh?"
they all laughed with him. "That's true. I'm feeling a little hungry too. My stomach is killing me." ht patted his belly and it growled loudly.
"Hang in there, Colin, we'll be at the cafe soon." then Link stopped for a minute and felt something was really wrong. He had a look of suspicion in his face and felt something weird
"What's wrong, Link?" Colin asked, as he and Fluttershy noticed Link stopping.
"Wha? oh, nothing. I just felt.... I just felt something weird, like something wrong." he replied. Then he probably nodded his head "Ah, it's probably nothing." then he continued forward to the cafe.
When they all came there, the other pony gang was present, including Big Mac, the crusaders, and Pip. Lyra and Bon Bon were just sitting alone with eachother, probably not apart of this little hangout that Twilight and her best friends were in.
"Ah, Colin, Link, Fluttershy, hello." Twilight called out. "Come sit with us."
"Thanks, Twilight, but We would rather prefer if we would just sit in a different table. Looks a little crowded where you are all sitting."
"Okay, that's fine." then Link felt that eerie presence again. "I just felt it again." he said to himself
"Felt what?" Fluttershy asked, hearing what he was saying.
"That.... presence. I'll be right with you guys, i... I just want to see what is going on here." then he walked away from the others, who are looking concerned for him.
"What's wrong with Link?" asked Applebloom
"I don't know little sister. I wish I knew." Applejack replied to her sibling.
Down the road, not far from the cafe, Link heard a rustling noise and looked at the direction. "Hmm. He was about to take out his weapons because he felt like he was being stalked.
Then, out of nowhere, he heard a loud roar that sounded like a leopard, jaguar, or even a cougar from above. He did a backflip and took out his sword and shield. It was a dinolfos, then from behind him, two barrels broke open and it revealed two smaller lizalfos. one of them didn't have any special armor while the other had an eland, or goat skull on his head
the others saw what was happening and went up to see what the commotion was all about. "What the hay are those guys?" said Rainbow. "Lizards?"
"they do look like lizards." said Rarity. "Really brutish lizards, ugh."
"Don't look fooled y'all, they look really menacing." said Applejack
"Yeah, just take a look at their swords and their tails, they have axes on them." Rainbow added. "Let's go get them, guys." she cracked her wings and was just about ready to take them out, but was stopped by Twilight.
"No! Link can handle this
"SSSSSo we find you here." said the dinolfos in a deep, raspy, menacing voice.
"What the hell are you guys doing here?!" Link demanded
"You caussssed us a lot of grief when you killed Lord Ganondorf, our glorious ruler." the largest lizard monster said
"Yessss, you did." one of the smaller lizalfos said in a higher raspy voice.
"Now we have found you, and we will finissssh you like you did to our king."
Then in the back, their was another leopard roar, and it was something from the sky. An Aeralfos swooped down on Link, but it missed as the Hylian side-rolled.
"Don't forget about me." the aerial beast said. It's voice was a little lower than the other two enemies, but not as deep as the Dinolfos. "You know what we want."
"Just me?"
"Yesss. Now you will sssufer." the Dinolfos said. he drew out his shield and hand ax at him, ready to fight. Then Colin ran up and drew his sword and shield, standing right beside Link as one.
"Colin, wait!" said Pinkie
"Don't worry, Pinkie. I think he knows what he's doing." said Twilight. They all looked worried at the boy since he was way smaller than these three monsters.
"You'll have to kill me!" Colin shouted
"Well, isssn't that niccce?" said the monster mockingly. "The little brother hasss come to hisss aid."
"We're not brothers!" said the two Hylians, really tired of hearing that.
"Whatever." said the Lizalfos without the bone helmet
"Now, we will show you the meaning of pain." the one with the helmet finished. The aeralfos swooped down on Link, but did another side roll, dodging the attack again. Colin also sidestepped out of the way before the winged lizard creature can finish him.
Link clashed with the leader and dodged a large amount of blows that the Dinolfos could inflict on. The lizalfos with the helmet was also fighting Link one against two.
Colin was fighting the helmetless one and swung his Ordon sword at him a number of times.
"Not bad, boy." said the monster, but can you dodge thisss?" then he leaped into the air to his backside, and tried to strike him with his ax-like tail, but Colin rolled out of the way, and blocked the second attack with his shield.
"Take this!" he a strike against the beasts' stomach and he fell to the ground, but then he got back up. Meanwhile what the boy didn't notice was that the Aeralfos was targeting him from above. he swooped down once more, but then felt something hard pushing against his side. Rainbow, and Fluttershty punched him and knocked him to the ground. it slowly got up, panting and grunting.
"How dare you!" the flying beast said threateningly.
"How dare YOU try to attack our friends!" Fluttershy shouted at it.
"Yeah, that is so not cool!" Rainbow added.
then Twilight, Spike, and the others stepped in to join the fight. "No, guys!" Link shouted. "These guys are armed."
"Don't worry, Link. We'll be fine." Twilight said.
Colin continued swinging his sword at the lizalfos and dodged many lunges and attacks as possible from it. It was quite an interesting grudge match between the two fighters. They both held their swords against one another and glared at eachother. Just then, when Colin and the beast took their swords off, Colin bashed his shield against him, stunning him, and then did the helm splitter on him, killing it instantly as the monster did one last leopard growl then vanished into black dust.
"Nice going Colin!" Link cheered while he was fighting the other monsters
"Yeah, that was awesome." said Rainbow as she and her friends were battling the aeralfos.
"Very wonderful!" Fluttershy cheered
The aeralfos swung his large saber at her but missed then Twilight punched it with her hoof. Another Punch was inflicted by Fluttershy, and then was kicked by Applejack. The force of the kick was strong that it knocked the aeralfos' helmet off of his head. Now the flying beast was raging mad.
Link fired his ball and chain on the Dinolfos and knocked it unconscious, and then killed the helmeted lizalfos then it turned to black dust. He went to the fight with the aeralfos and brought out his clawshots. he fired one at the monster, but to no avail, while it worked when he fired the second one at his shield, grounding it. Pinkie then came on his back out of nowhere and said "Hi!"
the monster tried to grab her from his back, but disappeared to his wing out of nowhere
"Hi again!" she said . the beast was becoming frustrated and tried to grab her time and time again, but always failed. Finally, Pinkie decided to have her fun and stopped playing her whack-a-Pinkie game with him.
"You little pesssst!" he said angrily.
"Think fast!" Link shouted. He had his bow and arrow in his hands and fired at it's eye, making him howl in pain. Then Rarity kicked him in the face for him to knock it on the ground.
"Take that you filthy scoundrel!" Rarity exclaimed.
"Now Link!" Applejack exclaimed
"Right." then Link did the finishing blow on him, killing the beast. However, the battle was not over yet. The dinolfos regained consciousness and got back to his feet.
"Now you will ssssee Hell!" it exclaimed. Link and the leader clashed once more, then Link felt his face smashed by the shield and the monster swooped his ax at him, knocking him to the ground.
"Link!" they all exclaimed in horror.
"Now to finisssh the job." he was about to stab him with his ax tail, but then felt himself being pushed backwards by Lyra and Bon Bon.
Link got up and then finished the beast with the ending blow, ending the battle. Everypony cheered for him as he had won yet again. They all cheered for Twilight, her friends, and Colin as well.
"Colin, you did great!" Link said.
"Thanks, you too. Oh, and you guys did goo too. Thank you for helping us."
"Of course. What are friends for?" said Spike. "But.... what were those things and.... how did they get here?"
"The two small ones were called Lizalfos, their leader was called a Dinolfos, and the winged one was called an Aeralfos. And, I don't know." said Link. "I really hope the princess find a solution to this. I'm starting to get a little worried about this vision."
"So are we." said Fluttershy.
"Well, don't worry about it too much. Whatever monster comes next, Link can take care of them no problem." said Rainbow proudly.
"Right!" they all exclaimed.
