Lessons On How To Be A Mother

Chapter Three - Lounge

The preparations were complete. All of the students quickly fell into their roles.

The sound of lips smacking against amber nipples and the crinkling of plastic could be heard coming from multiple pairs. All of the classmates who became the babies felt their pride and joy disappear as they began to hear the familiar sounds come from their fellow classmates.

Miss Chrysalis stood beside the locker room doors with a motherly smile plastered onto her face at the sight of her students. Her hands were calmly locked together as she scanned the room and looked at the diapers on many of the babies.

“Well done, class.” She began to speak, clearing her throat, “It’s wonderful to see such cooperation between mommy and baby.” She walked over to her students with a buzz of excitement and stood next to Lavender Lace and Trixie, who continued to look embarrassed for what they have done together.

“Especially you, Trixie,” Chrysalis smiled, she placed a hand on her student’s head and ran her fingers through her hair. “You’ve been very cooperative, haven’t you?”

Trixie blushed, “Y-Yes Miss Cheerilee.” Her eyes darted down at the floor, trying her best to keep eye contact away from her teacher as much as possible.

“Oh, that sad face isn’t right, Trixie,” Chrysalis cooed, breaking down into a soft whisper. “I know you feel funny because of the diaper, but it’s there for your protection,” She pulled her hand away from the student and leaned down, attempting to look Trixie in the eyes. Her hand slithered round to her back in which she began to gently rub. “Trust me, when we go to the lounge and start the lesson, you’ll feel so happy that you’ll forget all about the diaper. I promise.”

Trixie didn’t respond, she crossed her arms and proceeded to pout.

“That goes for all of you,” Chrysalis leaned up and looked at the rest of her class. “I feel positive that you’re going to enjoy your roles as mommy and baby. Once we get to the school lounge then the real learning can begin, but before we head out, is anyone missing?”

Several students shuffles around in their seats and eyed up their friends and classmates, all while keeping quiet at the same time.

It was at this moment when three doors leading to the cubicles opened at the same time, causing several classmates to turn around. Pinkie Pie and Applejack were the first to exit, Pinkie happily bounced out of the cubicle wearing her thick white diaper, presenting to all of the class.

Sunset and Fluttershy were second; Sunset exited the cubicle firstly with Fluttershy slowly exiting behind her. She instantly noticed the amount of people watching and continued to suckle her yellow pacifier in an attempt to stay calm.

And lastly, Rarity and Rainbow Dash exited as the final pair to leave the cubicles. Rainbow Dash was the first to exit, throwing the door wide open as she waddled forward and noticed the entirety of the class staring at her.

“Aah, I was wondering where the six of you disappeared off to,” Chrysalis smirked. “I thought all of you ran off to the principal’s office or something silly like that.”

Upon hearing that, Rainbow Dash continued to frown. The rest of her friends, the exception being Pinkie Pie, nervously looked at each other before looking back at Chrysalis.

“Sorry, Miss Chrysalis,” Sunset forced a smile. “It’s just that-“

“I understand,” Chrysalis nodded, waving a hand at the student. “You were busy tending to your little one and that’s perfectly understandable,” She looked back at the rest of her students and gestured towards the door. “Now that we’re all here, let’s head to the lounge and relax. Feel free to leave your clothes and baby supplies here in the locker room, I imagine some of you will be returning back to her very soon.”

The doors leading to the school corridors were quickly opened by Chrysalis. Each of the assigned babies stood close to their mothers, still waddling and suckling on their pacifiers despite their best attempts to keep quiet. Her students slowly left the room with Chrysalis being the last to exit, keeping an eye on her students with a watchful eye.

At the back of the group, Sunset Shimmer and Fluttershy held their hands together. The thick padding between Fluttershy’s legs forced her usual walk into an uncoordinated waddle with each step being trickier than the last.

Rainbow Dash slowly lowered her head in shame as she exited the locker room. As she followed her classmates, her focus turned back onto the pacifier in her hands. Without thinking, she popped the pacifier back into her mouth and started to suckle.

Pinkie Pie continued on like there wasn’t a problem in the world. She happily bounced and waddled as she followed her friends to the lounge. She bumped and knocked into her baby classmates before embracing them into a tight hug.

The class finally reached the end of their small journey and stood in front of two doors. Miss Chrysalis gently made her way to the front and placed her hands on the door handles.

“Before we enter, I’d like to just say a few words,” Chrysalis began, turning round to look at her students. “Throughout this week, the lounge is where you’re going to spend most of your time learning. From here you’ll be able to relax and unwind whilst learning what it’s like to look after a little one.”

And with that, Chrysalis slowly opened the doors to the lounge.

What was once designed to be a utopia for a teenage student had been totally transformed into something completely different, instantly catching the eyes of every student, forcing their mouths to drop wide open. Instead of the usual living room oriented décor for the students to use, the rows of couches, coffee tables and desks used for studying had been transformed into a large day care.

On the left side of the room were a collection of beanie chairs that were all lined up to face a large TV in the corner of the room. The TV itself was playing an assortment of cartoons and children’s shows for younger audiences.

On the right were several large piles of toys. All of the toys ranged from teddy bears, cuddly animals, building blocks and to a separate pile of train sets. A few of the cuddly animals were half the size of a regular person.

At the back of the room, several play mats rested on the soft carpet by the windows. They were all connected together in a neat order. Two teen-sized baby gyms rested on top of the mats, multiple toys could be found attached to the structure that innocently dangled from side to side.

“Welcome to the lounge!” Chrysalis raised her hands up into the air, happily pointing at the sight of the lounge. She walked inside and walked over to one of the beanie chairs and rested herself into one.

“Don’t be shy, little ones,” Chrysalis gestured for her class to enter.

Sunset Shimmer and Fluttershy were the first to enter the lounge, slowly taking the first steps for their fellow classmates. Fluttershy looked around and fixed her eyes on a large white bunny rabbit plush that she noticed upon entering the room. She looked back at Miss Chrysalis and then back at the bunny with a look of uncertainty.

“Go on,” Chrysalis smiled, crossing her legs in the process. “Go play with as many toys as you like.” She turned her head and looked at the rest of her students, still looking unsure about the room. “That goes for all of you, please come in and enjoy yourselves. We’ve got Susie Snu dollies, Hugs-a-Lot teddies and a selection of cartoons.” She finally pointed at the TV.

It took a few moments for her words to register, but one by one each pair slowly moved into the room and found a place to sit down and relax, some reluctantly found a toy to play with and stuck with it. Pinkie Pie made a mad dash over to the nearest pile of toys and started to rummage through for something to play with.

Sunset Shimmer and Fluttershy found themselves regrouping with the rest of their friends, Pinkie Pie not included. Rarity and Rainbow Dash walked over to Sunset and Fluttershy, carefully looking at Chrysalis and then back to their friends.

“Can you believe this?” Rainbow Dash popped her pacifier out of her mouth. “She’s turned the lounge into a giant day-care! Now can you see why I said we should go and see Principal Celestia!?”

“Alright,” Sunset nodded. “I think you may have a point on this one.”

“May?” Rainbow Dash’s eyes widened.

“I know you want to see the principal, Rainbow Dash, but don’t you think it would make sense for us to stick together and figure out what Miss Chrysalis’s plan is?” Rarity stood in front of her friend and placed a hand on her shoulder. “After all, like what Sunset explained earlier, we can’t point fingers unless we have proof she’s doing something wrong.”

“How about turning half of us into giant babies!” Rainbow Dash replied. “Isn’t that proof she’s doing something wrong? Because if that isn’t, then I don’t know what proof is anymore.” She looked at Fluttershy and tapped her on the shoulder. “You’re with me, right?”

Fluttershy turned round and looked at Rainbow Dash, “What?”

“You’re with me on this.”

“On what?” Fluttershy asked.

“We’re going to see the principal and sort this ugly mess out,” Rainbow Dash explained. “Are you coming or not?”

“Well…,” Fluttershy bit her lip, glancing back at the large bunny. “I don’t know…”

“Fine!” Rainbow Dash threw her arms up into the air. “I’ll go by myself!”

“Not without me,” Rarity took a step forward and latched onto her partner’s arm. “If you’re going to the principal’s office, then we’re going together. I’m your mommy after all.”

“What!?” Rainbow Dash exclaimed. “You can’t- You’re not- Ugh, fine.” She rolled her eyes, pointing a finger at her friend. “But if you slow down then I’ll leave you behind, got it?”

“The principal’s office is only just a few corridors away; you’re acting like we’re going to travel across an entire country to get there.” Rarity replied.

“Anyways,” Sunset and Fluttershy exchanged worried looks at each other, stopping Rarity and Rainbow Dash from talking to one another. “Fluttershy and I are going to get in our roles. I don’t think it’s smart to just stand around and do nothing while everyone else is getting busy.”

“That’s another thing!” Rainbow Dash pointed behind Sunset Shimmer and to the rest of the class. “Why is everyone else going along with this? You’d think someone like Trixie would have a problem with this and storm to the principal’s office.”

“I don’t know,” Sunset shrugged. “I guess the idea of sitting through seven days of Sex-Ed is more than enough to snap her in line with everyone else.”

“It’s just a bunch of hammy actors talking about lady problems, what’s so scary about that?”

“Did you forget about the part where Miss Chrysalis said it was a musical?” Rarity cautiously whispered, prompting Sunset Shimmer to cringe at the words.

“Ugh, you’re so over dramatic.” Rainbow Dash huffed.

“You shouldn’t be worried...,” A voice popped up amongst the group. Sunset Shimmer and Rainbow Dash exchanged quick glances at each other before looking at Rarity, who silently looked at Sunset. Rainbow Dash’s eyes widened as she looked behind Sunset Shimmer and took a step back. “I’m sure we can work together and figure something out.”

As Sunset Shimmer, Fluttershy and Rarity turned, they saw Miss Chrysalis slowly walk to the group with her hands resting on her hips.

“I understand you’re not comfortable with the lesson so far,” Chrysalis began to speak, lowering her voice to a soft motherly tone. “If you have any negative feelings towards me or my class then please let me know. I’m more than happy to sit down and work something out; my job is to make sure you’re all happy bundles of joy before the week is out.”

“Why, that sounds like a lovely idea,” Rarity smiled. “What do you think, Rainbow Dash?”

Rainbow Dash responded with a sharp glare at the teacher, she crossed her arms before slowly taking a small step forward towards her friends. She let out a sigh before looking at Fluttershy and then back to Chrysalis.

“Alright, I’ll sit down and talk.” Rainbow Dash groaned.

“Excellent!” Chrysalis happily clapped her hands together. “I knew we could take the peaceful route and figure things out. Principal Celestia told me that you would be a little resistant to these classes so I think some private time together would strengthen our relationship.”

“Relationship? What do you mean resistant?” Rainbow Dash asked.

“Judging from your previous grades, you’re not exactly enthralled by the idea of being in a Childcare class, that’s all,” Chrysalis smiled. “But enough of that, let’s go the cafeteria and work things out. I do like a challenge.”

“May I come too?” Rarity chimed in.

“Sure,” Chrysalis nodded. She walked over to the lounge doors and gestured for Rarity and Rainbow Dash to follow. Sunset and Fluttershy looked at each other before looking back at their friends.

“Should we come too?” Sunset asked.

“Oh, my precious Sunset Shimmer, you can’t come with us,” Chrysalis continued to smile. “It’s a private conversation. I have faith that you’ll look after Fluttershy.”

“But I don’t know what to do; you haven’t told us any rules or guidelines for the class!” Sunset exclaimed.

“And that’s where the learning begins; mothers don’t learn from a book or a plastic doll, they simply act. We’ll be back before you know it.”

And with that, Rainbow Dash and Rarity crossed the threshold and left the room. The doors were gently shut together, leaving Sunset with Fluttershy.

“Ugh,” Sunset groaned. “That doesn’t make any sense.” She felt Fluttershy’s hand land on her shoulder; Sunset turned around and faced her friend with a warm smile.

“I’m sure Rainbow Dash and Rarity will get along with Miss Chrysalis just fine.” Fluttershy said.

“Well…,” Sunset replied with a loud sigh. “I guess it’s time for us to get into our roles.”

“I’m very excited,” Fluttershy smiled, she looked back over to the white bunny and pointed at the giant plush. “Can I play with the bunny? He looks very lonely.”

“You don’t have to ask for my permission, Fluttershy.”

“But I’m a baby, remember?” Fluttershy blushed.

“Oh, right,” Sunset giggled. “Well, if you want to play with the big bunny then let’s go and settle down.” Sunset Shimmer took a few steps forward and looked back to notice Fluttershy stood still. Fluttershy held out her hand and popped her yellow pacifier back inside her mouth, which she happily suckled on.

The pair slowly walked over to the pile of animal toys, Fluttershy leaned forward and grabbed onto the bunnies soft ears. She gently lifted him out of the pile and wrapped her arms around its chest, pulling it into a big hug.

Sunset looked around and noticed two unused beanie chairs next to the pile, she walked over and grabbed them and set them down next to Fluttershy. She lowered herself onto the seat and found herself quickly relaxing on the spot.

Once Fluttershy had finished hugging her bunny, she lowered herself down onto the floor and rested her diapered rump on the carpet floor. Sunset Shimmer couldn’t help but giggle at the sound of the crinkling.

“Well, with Rainbow Dash and Rarity gone,” Sunset sighed. “I suppose we’ll have to think of something to do.”

“I’ve got the cute bunny.” Fluttershy smiled, tightening her hold on the plush.

“What about the other toys?” Sunset suggested, partially biting her lip. “I’m sure Pinkie Pie would like to play with some toys.”

There wasn’t a reply from Fluttershy, she peered over Sunset’s shoulder and looked at the rest of the class.

Pinkie Pie could be seen on the opposite side of the room. She happily bounced from toy to toy, latching on to the first thing she could grab to play with. Applejack trailed behind the pink blur in a desperate bid to stay on top of things, trying her best to keep up with Pinkie’s playful antics.

Fluttershy looked at another part of the room and noticed Sweetie Belle and Applebloom sitting next to the baby gyms; Sweetie Belle ducked her head under the metal frame and idly swung her hands at the toys that dangled down for her amusement. Applebloom sat next to her partner, legs crossed she contently watched as Sweetie interacted with the toys.

“I’m sure Sweetie Belle would like to play with me,” Fluttershy gestured at the two young students. “She seems very happy as a baby.”

It wasn’t long before Pinkie Pie bounced her way over to Fluttershy and Sunset Shimmer, interrupting the pair’s conversation. In her mad haste, she leaned down and wrapped her arms around Sunset, pulling her in to a bone-crushing hug. Fluttershy responded by hiding behind the giant bunny, shielding her body from Pinkie’s impending hug.

“Ooh!” Pinkie squealed, keeping her arms tightly wrapped around Sunset Shimmer. “I’m having so much fun!”

“P-Pinkie…,” Sunset coughed, she leaned forward and grabbed Pinkie’s arms. “What are you doing…?”

“I’m having lots of fun in the lounge!” Pinkie Pie happily announced, breaking away from Sunset Shimmer. “I can’t believe we’ve never done anything like this! It’s super relaxing!” She looked at Fluttershy and noticed the giant white bunny rabbit in her friend’s arms, her eyes widened. “It’s a giant bunny!” Pinkie squealed.

Oh, the bunny?” Fluttershy poked her head out from the bunny’s side, revealing herself to Pinkie Pie. She sat the bunny down on the ground and kept an arm around its neck. “He’s nice and soft when you cuddle him.”

“Is he?” Pinkie tilted her head to the side, she plopped her padded rump on the carpet and threw her arms at the bunny. “Can I hug him? I’ll be your best friend forever!” She childishly whined.

“You’re already my friend, Pinkie.” Fluttershy giggled.

“I know!” Pinkie pouted, retracting her arms and crossing them together.

“We can play with the bunny together,” Fluttershy suggested. “How does that sound?”

“That sounds great!” Pinkie lunged forward and grabbed the bunny, pulling it away from Fluttershy. “I’ve been playing with so many toys; I hope I get to play with all of them before the week is over!”

“But Pinkie…,” Sunset shook her head. “You’ll have more than enough time to play with all of the toys in the loun- I mean, day-care. We’ve got six days of…, well, this.” She gestured towards the nearby pile of toys.

“But I don’t want to waste a single second, silly!” Pinkie smiled, she wrapped her arms around the bunny. “If I keep on wasting time then I won’t be able to enjoy everything this game has to offer!”

“What game?” Sunset asked.

“It’s the biggest game of house or something.” Another voice popped up from behind Sunset Shimmer. She slowly turned in her seat and noticed Applejack standing over her.

“Oh look,” Pinkie Pie pointed at Applejack. “It’s my mommy!”

Applejack didn’t respond, she walked over to Sunset’s side and lowered herself down, resting herself on the carpet. “I’m not your real mommy, sugar cube.”

“Aww!” Pinkie groaned, she stuck out her tongue and blew a raspberry before quickly focusing her energy back onto hugging the big white bunny.

“Anyways,” Applejack looked at Fluttershy and Sunset. “Have you seen Rarity and Rainbow Dash? I got a little carried away trying to calm down Pinkie Pie.”

“Calm me down?” Pinkie Pie looked at Applejack. “I thought we were playing!”

“I don’t think running around like you just downed a keg full of sugar is playing.”

“But I had lots of fun!” Pinkie Pie dropped the bunny; she quickly crawled over to Applejack and wrapped her around her waist. She rested her head on Applejack’s lap and closed her eyes. “Since I’m a big baby, I’ve got to play with as many toys as I can. Ooh, ooh! What if we get together we play with the big doll house!”

“Yeah…,” Applejack rolled her eyes. “Later.”

“Can’t we do it now?” Pinkie asked.

“I said,” Applejack smirked, lowering her head down to Pinkie’s. “Later.”

“Okay.” Pinkie Pie mumbled, she dipped a hand into her coat pocket and pulled out her pacifier. She shoved the nipple into her mouth and kept quiet.

“To answer your question,” Sunset looked at Applejack. “Miss Chrysalis took them to somewhere private so they can talk out their problems.”

“Really?” Applejack chuckled. “Oh boy, I bet Rainbow Dash is giving her a mouthful."
