".....Oh........ Damn....."

At those words, another tentacle from the sea monster before us once again flew forward and hit the bridge at center mass. This caused the entire ship to shake and threw it a few dozen feet back through the water. I was nearly thrown across the bridge again but I had seen the monsters movements and had grabbed onto a random control panel on my left. Luna was fine for the fact that the chair she was currently strapped in was connected to the floor and was safe from detachment.

Looking at Luna I waited for confirmation if she wanted me to attack. She looked at me for a second in bewilderment before speaking out.

"Surely you don't mean to attack the creature, right?"

"That was kind of my intention. Look, I need to get you topside for this. I will hold the creature off long enough for you to get topside with my ship and get help alright? I may be a Fog but this monster is far bigger than my ship and I don't have enough energy reserves to fire my super gravity cannon. You are more important than I am, you are a princess and I am just a weapon of war." Luna was about to disagree but I raised my hand, effectively cutting her off. Sighing, I knew she would object to me fighting it alone. So, I took matters into my own hands and phased my staff into my hands. Taking a battle stance, I phased my body through the wall ahead of us. When I was in open water, I made sure my oxygen levels for my body were at optimal levels before bounding forward. It took me only a matter of seconds to reach the end of my bow. And when I did, I pushed off over open water and slashed the sea creature along it's face and down it's body. While I knew it wouldn't do very much to the creature, I only wanted to distract it long enough to get my ship topside so Luna could escape. While I did this, I simultaneously powered up my ships engines and had it ascend towards the surface.

However, before my ship body could make it very far, several tentacles from the sea creature flew past me and latched onto my ship before I could react. While I had very powerful engines, seriously they have to be powerful if I could stay caught up with kongou when she is at full speed, They themselves were still just fixed and weren't as calibrated after my initial crash into this new world. So without them being calibrated, they could only go to a certain power level before effectively shutting off. And that is what exactly what happened. As my ship body started to gain ground over the tentacles, there was a slight concussion blast before my body rocked backwards and the engines shut off. As soon as they shut off, my body began to fly back faster and slammed into the creature. This also caused the creature to let go of my ship but without my engines being effective, my body was pretty much stuck dead in the water. Well..... at least I can use some of my weapon systems. Though I would prefer to use my photon cannons, seems like I have to utilize what I got.

When I ended that thought, I swam forward toward the creature while opening my torpedo launcher bays along the sides of my ship. The small set of alarms within the bridge began to go off as Luna looked at the opening bay doors with worry. Ignoring her, I kept swimming towards the creature while prepping the correct torpedo's for the attack. The torpedo type I am going to use were Mark IV Belt Piercing Photon Torpedo's, They were a new model I had built that could actually cut through the reflective armor that even I currently carried. They were made to slice right through it before detonating several large fragmentation bombs within the ship, causing maximum possible damage. While I could've used standard torpedo's, I wanted to use my Mark IV's mainly for the fragmentation factor. Since the torpedo's could easily penetrate the creatures thick hide, the fragmentation would do the maximum possible damage to the creature resulting in a faster ending battle.

Getting back to the battle, I had swam in front of the creature and was now sitting in front of it's left eye. It stared at me in what I could only guess was absolute hatred. Huh..... no fear I can use against it...... seems I'm going to have to do this the hard way..... How will I distract it long enough for me to-

-SMACK-

The creature interrupted my thoughts by swinging a tentacle at me. I was hit in my lower chest area before being flung through the water and slamming against my bridge's window. The slam had slightly cracked the window, leaving Luna with another thing to worry about besides my health.

Prying myself off the window, I swam forward and began a dance of blades, with my staff, against the creature. I swam around it faster than it could react and stabbed, cut, and sliced tentacles off without taking another hit during that time. However, even with the amount of tentacles I was slicing off, there were still a lot more that replaced them. I swam through the water dodging a tentacle sloppily swung at me, then preceded to cut it off before making a attack run against the creature's head.

Coming up on the head, I swerved to the right to avoid the creature's massive teeth before promptly shoving my staff blade first into it's right eye. I was nearly caught off guard as the creature began to violently thrash around, nearly throwing me off in the process. True to my intentions, though, I coursed electricity through the staff and into the creature, causing it to thrash around even harder.

I sat there for a few seconds, pouring electricity through my staff, before I was suddenly grabbed by a tentacle. Said tentacle removed me from the creature's face and held me in front of it's only working eye. Damn..... this thing is pretty ugly if you ask me..... I was about to make another snarky comment but was interrupted when the tentacle began to squeeze. The pressure getting tighter and tighter until it was absolutely unbearable. Screaming out in pain, I tried everything I could think of trying to escape but it was no use.

Giving up, I decided to continue with my original plan of distracting it long enough for me to hit it hard with some devastating weapons. The torpedo's had been charged for quite a while and were ready to fire. Activating them, I heard the all too familiar popping sound before a semi loud -WHOOSH- flew right past me and impacted the creature on several parts of it's body.

-BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM-

The explosions were so large that the water had kicked up a lot of sand and sediments from the ocean floor below us, obscuring my view of the creature. The tentacle that was holding me let me go before slipping down into the thick cloud of dust and out of view. Good riddance. Now to get Luna back to the castle.

However, before I could get the engines up and running again, several tentacles rose up from the depths directly below the ship and covered many sections of my body. The action of the tentacle, however, also covered up many of my torpedo tubes and jammed several of my other weapon systems as well. This left me with nothing to defend against the creature with..... Well, everything except one thing.

'Ah..... I was hoping I wouldn't have to use it...." Luna only looked at me in confusion.

"Use what? Namasaki what has happened?" I could see the fear through her eye's. Sighing heavily, I decided to reply in a curt response.

"The creature has blocked my torpedo launchers and has jammed the other weapon systems. It is also dealing heavy damage to my body. It leaves me with no other choice but to use my-" I was cut off as my ship began to shake as if an earthquake had hit. Several screens suddenly appeared showing critically damaged sections of the ship before another larger shake ran through and the frontal forty feet of the ship was ultimately ripped off, leaving several of the frontal sections wide open to the flooding ocean water that ran through.

Yelling out in surprise, and slight pain, I immediately closed off the sections that were in the front half of the ship that weren't flooded yet. Then, when the flooding was under control, I immediately sent most of my nano materials to follow the ripped off section of the ship to retrieve it. I then transported Luna and myself to the backup bridge, that was towards the end of the ship just behind the number three turret, before activating my SGC, my ship shaking the entire time.

"Alright..... I'll only get one shot at this......" Taking the time to warm the systems up, Luna and I watched as the main bridge and the engine funnel glowed a bright white before splitting apart and revealing two large disc like objects. The main parts for my SGC flew up to the sides of where my main bridge sat before I activated my main ballasts to launch my ship to the surface.

When my ship suddenly went up, it got ripped out of the grasp of the creature before continuing to rise and hit the surface with an explosion of water and nano materials. As my body came to rest on the surface I ran out of the secondary bridge, not before telling Luna to stay in the room, and quickly made my way atop the main bridge of my body.

While my ship body was long, it was quite simple for me to make my way to stand atop the center sections of the main bridge. I usually chose this position when firing my SGC since with my bridge tower was not very wide, it helped offer a wide range of view since it was so blasted big. And so, sitting on the bridge, I waited for the creature to make an appearance while my SGC slowly charged. While I did have the largest SGC that a fog could possibly carry, excluding when Kongou merged her fleet and Maya to herself, it was not very fast in fire rate as it took several minutes to actually get to firing capacity.

However, I was interrupted from my musing when the creature did make an appearance by braking the water several hundred feet in front of my ship. But, unlike being underwater, I wasn't completely defenseless for when the tentacles came flying at my ship. Since I was above the waters surface, I could make full use of my main artillery batteries along with the secondary's. And as such, when the tentacles did attack, I fired everything I had to at least keep them away for the next few minutes as my SGC charged at an agonizing rate.

The other reason that my SGC was charging up slowly was to do with the battle against I-401 and the rest of the blue fleet. When I had fired my SGC before it was properly ready to fire, the unstable beam had slightly deteriorated the weapon itself, forcing me to be careful when I fired it. If I ignored the warnings, the weapon could reach a saturation point and most likely detonate from the harmful energy build up. This, in turn, would most likely kill me as my body would be heavily damaged to the point where I would have to sink myself if my union core wasn't already shattered.

Getting back on track, the loud sounds of gunfire continued to go off as every tentacle that was sent my way was ultimately destroyed or heavily damaged to the point of it being unable to be effectively used again. This lasted for a few minutes as shot after shot was fired, taxing my energies and my mental model to the limit with keeping up with the creature's attack patterns. When I did finally hear the signature of my weapon being primed to fire, all I had to do now was get the creature aimed up and fire.

That in itself was very tricky to do as the creature did everything in it's power to evade my targeting wall of white lightning. Said creature dodged and weaved through the lighting with an agility that surprised even me. When my surprise passed, however, I quickly changed things up and when the creature got to a new position, I instantly turned my front most turret towards the creature before firing off a full salvo from all three guns in the turret. This caught the creature off guard as all the shells found their mark and slammed into the creature's head, disabling it for the moment. The creature then roared in pain as it swung its head from side to side.

Taking the chance, I immediately locked it into place with my SGC targeting systems before waiting for the perfect time to fire the cannon. This didn't take long as the SGC systems all went into the green and let me know that the weapon was ready to fire.

As I activated the weapon and began to fire it, I was not prepared in the slightest for when Luna appeared right next to me, staring at the trapped creature in wonder. Looking at her in shock, I yelled to her.

"LUNA, YOU NEED TO GET OUT OF HERE!!!" the noise from the SGC about to discharge was almost too loud for her to hear me but with her being next to me, she could barely make out what I said.

"WHY?"

"WHEN THIS WEAPON DISCHARGES, THE RESULTING SHOCKWAVE COULD-" I wasn't able to finish as my SGC finally discharged the energy build up into a large white and blue beam of gravitational waves were emitted in a beam heading straight for the creature who was helpless to do anything. The shockwave, as predicted, blew not only Luna back but me as well since I was put off from her sudden appearance. While we were both launched back, I saw the glass of the tower coming up to meet us and quickly grabbed Luna. When we hit the glass, it shattered and we went right through it. We flew to the far wall and slammed into it, me taking the entire amount of damage as I protected Luna with my body. The creature, when hit by the beam, uttered out a loud scream in pain before succumbing to its injuries and dying as the beam sliced through it's somewhat thick hide with relative ease.

When the weapon began to power down, the creature began to sink into the ocean depths at a rapid rate, leaving me and Luna in peace once again. I was far from pleased as Luna had disobeyed a direct order. When she flew into the room I was currently in, I tried to the best of my abilities to stand but ended up collapsing onto the ground. When Luna helped me to my feet, I limped out of the room and towards the main bridge, the SGC components were already put away and the bridge was okay to be in again.

When I walked into the room, Luna following shortly after, I waited until she was completely in the room before shouting at her.

"What the hell did I tell you!?" She only looked at me in shock before getting angry herself.

"What do you mean?"

"I told you to stay in the backup bridge! I had the situation under control!"

"I though I would help!"

"You do realize that I hadn't grabbed you from slamming into the wall, YOU WOULD BE DEAD!! I TOLD YOU TO STAY BACK FOR YOUR OWN SAFTEY!!" Luna visibly shrank down at this and seemed to back off a little. I then had a flash of realization run through before the guilt set in. My glare fell almost instantly before I tried to make amends.

"Luna look.... I'm sorry okay? I didn't mean to yell at you and I'm getting tired of having to kill. It's always been in my nature as a weapon and I have been used as one. I have always wanted to live a normal life but seeing as how that apparently can't happen no matter where I am..... It would be best if you left and go back to where your duties where you can live in peace." Saying this, I hung my head low before walking away and out of the bridge. I walked down the side of the bridge along stairs and such and continued to walk along my ship before finally sitting on the number three turret. I sat there staring out over the open ocean as the sun began it's slow decent from the sky.

I continued to sit there for about a few minutes before I heard hoof steps as Luna sat down behind me. Before I could say anything, she rested her head on my shoulder and watched the sunset with me in silence before she broke the silence.

"Namasaki.... I'm sorry. I should've listened to you and stayed in the room as you told me. It's just, I wanted to help out because you were willingly giving you life for me even though you have only been here for a couple of days. We barely know each other and yet you had your mind set on getting me to safety before dealing with your own problems. So I thank you for it. Although you were heavily damaged in the ensuing battle, I have already contacted my sister about the situation. She will be here shortly to check on everything. I do hope you can forgive me Namasaki..." And with that, she was about to get up and walk away but I cut her off.

-Sigh- "In all honesty, I should've looked after you better. There is nothing to forgive as it was my mistake for leaving you in the room. However, despite all the damage I took, you need to know that I am just a weapon. I should've learned a long time ago that things like me can't ever live in peace. You on the other hand, are more important than me. Although it may be true that I have only been here for a couple of days, you two have given me the one thing that I have always wanted since I was first awoken and put into battle: peace. You two have given me the chance to live my immortal life anyway I wanted. And as such, I am very grateful for it." Luna could only look at me in slight shock at finding out that when I was first awoken, I was instantly put into battle. But when the initial shock passed, she rested her head on my shoulder again and nuzzled me. My initial reaction was confusion and was about to voice it out before the sun princess suddenly appeared in front of us with what could only be described as extreme rage. And it was all directed at you know who........ Yup, it was me.

"NAMASAKI!!!"

To Be Continued...... Again.....
