After we all went inside we had some time to sit and relax before the rest of Fluttershy’s friends arrived and during that time we talked about what our plan was considering we were stuck here for the rest of our lives and now that we no longer have to fight the Yeerks. It was during this time that Discord made a reappearance and said,
“Why hello there! what are you all talking about?”
I looked at him and told we were talking about what we are going to do since we are going to be spending the rest of our lives here. After thinking this through I then asked,
“Why did you save us anyway?”
He gives me an amused smirk and says,
“I would have been perfectly fine with leaving you all where you were, but Old Sunbutt had other ideas. For example, when Rachel supposedly died, she cast a spell to put her in suspended animation and mad a clone of her body for you to bury. The same was true for the Andalite here. When you three died she had me teleport all six of you into the void between worlds and told me to give you the run-down of what was about to happen.”
After a few seconds of silence, Rachel goes,
“So in other words, you could really care less about what happens to us?”
Discord smiles and says,
“Actually, now that you are here, I’m quite interested in what you six do and how you adjust to a new world. Just being here is sure to cause some lovely chaos!”
Before Rachel could start yelling at him, Fluttershy came in with five more ponies. One was a cyan colored Pegasus mare with a rainbow mane and tail, another was white unicorn mare with a purple mane and tail, and there was also a bubblegum pink mare with a darker pink mane and tail, after her came an orange mare with a blonde mane and tail tied in a ponytail and wearing brown cowboy hat, and finally a lavender unicorn mare with wings and pink streak in her mane and tail. Fluttershy then introduces the other five mares as her friends. The cyan one is Rainbow Dash, the unicorn is Rarity, the two “Earth ponies”, as they are called, are Pinkie Pie and Applejack, and the lavender “Alicorn”, as she is called, is Twilight Sparkle. Once we have that all settled out, Twilight asks,
“So what are you all?”
I respond with,
“Well Jake, Rachel, Cassie and I are humans, Tobias is a human trapped in the body of a red-tailed hawk, and Ax here is an Andalite who is from another world different from ours. Oh, and we have the ability to morph into other creatures for two hours at a time by “acquiring” their DNA and focusing on a mental picture of them. So that about sums us up. Oh and I like to call our little group “Animorphs” which is short for “Animal morpher” and we use to be soldiers in a secret war that was no longer secret after we blew up one of their underground bases. So, any more questions you would like to ask?”
Twilight just stared at me for a bit before shaking her head and saying,
“No. I’m good.”
Then my vision was suddenly filled with pink as Pinkie Pie starts asking questions at a rapid-fire pace and I can’t even understand what she is saying until Applejack grabs Pinkie Pie by the tail and says,
“Land sakes gurl! Y’all are gonna have to calm down before you scare him!”
Pinkie gives a sheepish smile and says,
“Sorry. Now My questions for you are, do you like parties, cakes, cupcakes; what is your favorite flavor of cake, and what is your favorite color?”
After thinking about it, we all give our respective answers to her questions. Afterward, Rarity came up and asked us why we were all dressed in such strange clothes. It was then that I glanced around and realized we were all in our morphing clothes (which consisted of way too much spandex in my opinion) and I simply told her that these were the only type of clothes we could morph meaning that instead of ending up shredded like regular clothes the spandex would be incorporated into the morph.
After some thought she said,
“Well darlings, do you think I could possibly make your “morph suits” more…uh…presentable?”
At that, I simply smiled and said,
“FINALLY!! Someone else agrees with me on the fact that we look more like a circus act rather than superheroes!”
At that, my friends all face palmed and Jake just gave me a look that said [are you serious?] and I just respond with my traditional smirk which just causes Jake to facepalm again. At this Rarity lets out a little giggle and Pinkie does this adorable giggle-snort and I thought to myself ‘Yes! I made two of them laugh! Two down four to go.’ After we got done with that we all decided to head into town so that we could meet the rest of our new neighbors. When we got into town we heard a high pitched scream that came from the forest. The source was revealed to be a small orange Pegasus filly and a light yellow Earth pony filly with a bow in her main. When they stopped in front of us the orange filly said,
“Rainbow! You have to come help us! We were trying to get our cutie marks in plant finding when a manticore jumped behind us Applebloom and I managed to escape and we thought that Sweetie Belle had made it as well but when we were about to come out of the Everfree we realized that she might still be somewhere in the forest.”
When she was done Jake went into ‘Leader Mode’ and told everyone to go wolf and begin looking for the lost filly. I concentrated, like I had so many times before and began to feel the familiar sensation of my bones shifting and cracking as always the process didn’t hurt but the ponies around us had various looks of disgust and horror because they could hear our bones shift and crack and rearrange themselves and as soon as we were done, Jake looked at the ponies and asked,
<Can one of you give us something of Sweetie Belle’s so we can identify her scent when we come across it?>
Rarity then lifted a small hat for winter and held up for us to get a good whiff of her scent. One we got the scent we ran into the forest to begin our hunt.
