Chapter 2
SHENDU’s POV
A few minutes later I hear the sound of someone approaching the cave and a minute later a pink spinning thing face plants into the dirt. I choke back a laugh and turn invisible. Now that it got up I notice that it's an earth pony. Thats good, Its a mare. Almost there I listen close to check what her intent is. She starts the chant and to both her and my joy a clone steps out of the pool. . Finally, I have a chance but I must be patient. The way she prattles on about being in two places at once guarantees she will come back thinking she will need more clones. That will be when I will strike. Sure enough she and the clone come back and make more clones than the clones start to think it is fun to make clones so soon there are dozens of clones running amok and causing chaos. The original Is trying her hardest to reign the copies in. And It is hilarious.But eventually she succeeds and they start to follow her out, Now is the time to make my move. As the last clone is leaving the cavern I Say “Hey do you want to play a game?” Immediately she rushes back to the pool looking rapidly from left to right and she says “Oooh is it fun? Because I love fun!” I swear her voice is going to crack my statue with how high pitched it is.
I decloak and say “Oh yes it is lots of fun. Its a Scavenger hunt.” She cocks her head and asks “A scavenger hunt? Is that fun?” “Yes its lots of fun especially when you have to swim for it.” she jumps and says “wait I get to play a game AND SWIM!? this is the best game EVER! How do I play?” I laugh and say ”Okay the items you are looking for are three octangular stones at the bottom of the pond get them and place them in the slots of the statue. Its as easy as that.” She nods her head and she immediately jumped into the pool. Now this is the moment of truth. Only two things can happen. The first is that she will be reabsorbed into the pool or the second is that she will reemerge with my talismans. My fears are put to rest when she resurfaces with something in her teeth, If I could move my face I would be grinning like a madman. For in her teeth was my salvation My Talismans. “Excellent now put them in the statue and you win.” She bounces over and takes the talismans from her mouth and starts putting them in. First to go in is my personal favorite, the Dragon talisman, the second is the Rooster, and finally my key to my salvation. The Sheep talisman. After it is added I start laughing and then she starts laughing with me. I finally say “Congratulations you win the prize.” The Clone gasps and asks, “What do I win?” “Eternal enslavement.” She stops bouncing and says “Well that doesn't sound ni-. “ I Blast her point blank in the face with the dragon talisman and she crashes into the opposite wall out cold. “Now I do believe it is time for a change in scenery.” I activate the sheep allowing my spirit to be free. I fly into the clone and the instant I enter the clone is when the Screaming started.
3rd Person POV Ponyville
All over Ponyville Pinkie Pies suddenly started releasing Blood Curdling screams creating a sound straight out of Tartarus. They all fell to the ground writhing in agony. The original was no exception. As she fell in agony she could feel a great wrongness. within her, a darkness that shouldn't exist. With their eyes glowing Bright crimson, eight of the duplicates exploded, their energy flying to return to the pool. While the rest started rampaging chanting Fun Fun Fun desperately trying to blot out the pain through distractions. All the while the Original slowly was able to stand up as the pain receded to a faint dull ache with only one thought on her mind. “What just happened?”
Shendu’s POV
When I open my new eyes I notice that all I can see on my right side is pink. I raise a hoof to see why and I realize it's hair. “Strange, just a minute ago it was all poofy but now it hangs like a popped balloon.” I walk over to the pool and get a good look at my new body. I have a long flat mane and tail that for some reason puts me on edge. My teeth are sharp and my pupils are a bright red all of which are what normally happens when I possess someone. What I didn't expect to happen however was how I had a different Cutie mark than before. Her cutie mark before I possessed her were 3 balloons but now they were gone. and in their place was the Chinese symbol Li. “I guess somethings are just too important to hide.” I say to myself and right before I look away I sense something in the pool that wasn't there before. I stare more intently into the pool and to my surprise I see a black sphere right dead in the center the size of a large beach ball. “What in the world is that?” I say it right before 8 bursts of pink energy fly into the pool. As soon as they enter the pool I feel intense agony surge through my soul and I start screaming. What is this? Why am I in such Pain?! I writhe on the ground in agony and after around a minute passed the pain finally ceased. I get up and groan. “What was that and what caused it?” I look into the pool and I see that the sphere has shrunk to half its size. “Wait a minute. before the attack the orb was larger and then those bursts of energy entered the pool and now it is smaller.” I Thought about it for a minute then I realized.
“That's my CHI!” If that's my chi and it got smaller when those bursts of energy entered the pool must mean that if more enter I could be ejected from this body! I growl angrily “NO! I WILL NOT LOSE MY BODY JUST BECAUSE SOME MISSFIT CLONES GOT DISPERSED!” I go to my statue and take out the Dragon and Rooster talismans and use the dragon to blow up one of the stalactites off the ceiling and then use the rooster to lower it down slowly. I use it to begin drawing a magic circle around the entirety of the Pond and I write the symbol for Imprison on the top part of the circle, energy to the left, Soul to the right and control on the bottom. I then fill in more draconic and demonic runes in the spaces in between and after 45 minutes of work it is done. I begin the chant filling the circle with my power and by the end of it it is glowing a satisfying mix of orange and red. I sit down panting from the exertion in creating the spell and look over it again to make sure everything was done correctly. “Now we wait.”
After about 5 hours have passed and I finally see another one of the pink bursts head toward the pool. “Its showtime.” I begin chanting again and the circle glows brighter and the energy is drawn to the center of the circle sitting halfway between the ceiling and the surface of the pool. Soon more bursts of energy are swarming toward the pool and I continue pumping energy into the spell as more and more of them are sent to the center.This continues for an hour until at last, the final burst of energy finally makes it to the center. I then utter the last part of the spell and the circle lifts off the ground and circles the sphere before shrinking and forcing the sphere to shrink down from a giant boulder to 4 ft in diameter. I fall down exhausted from the amount of magic I used to capture the clone’s energy, After I catch my breath I get back up and stare at the sphere of energy and say “Now that I have captured it what do I do with it now?” Its so much energy yet it is so pure that If I try to use it for anything it will just blow up in my face. I “If only it was bad chi than I could have done so much with it!” In my anger I kick my leg in frustration and some dirt flies into the pool clouding it for a second before a pulse of magic from the pool removed the dirt. I stare at the pool and kick some more dirt in and just like before it clouds it for a second than the pool cleanses it.I use the Rooster to pick up a lot of dirt and drop it in and it takes a few more seconds to remove it all. “Wait a second, if it is good chi all i have to do is put in enough BAD chi that it corrupts it.” I begin to smile “and if I can corrupt the Chi from the clones I could also corrupt the Chi in the pool because only clones can enter the pool and I could take over the Pool from within.” I grin evilly. “and If I do that all of the Pools powers would be mine to command as I see fit!” I begin laughing and use the rooster to grab the sphere and bring it to my face. “Oh yes This just might be the edge I have been looking for.”
