The Tenno Gather

(Theyellowninja13)

I took another bite of the chicken I cooked. It's already been about a day since I arrived in this forest, and I already have a camp set up in a small clearing. I silently thanked my parents for taking me out camping when I was younger. I managed to find a chicken, which I quickly caught and snapped it's neck, and then cooked. Luckily I figured out how to take off my helmet, so I could eat, but I haven't seen my reflection yet.

I finished tearing the meat off the chicken, before throwing the bones into a pile. I sighed, thinking about how I need to learn how to use that fire power I probably have. I was able to make a fire without it, but I could use fire blasts as protection. I was cut out of my thoughts, by a sharp pain in my shoulder, and I looked to see a group of ten humanoid soldiers all walking into the clearing, pointing their guns at me. "Oh, crap." I said to myself, as they started opening fire, and I quickly rolled behind a rather thick tree.

Crouching down, I looked at my hands, trying to create some fire. "Come on. Come on!" I tried everything I could think of, from saying 'fireball' to imagining the molecules around my hand to start vibrating madly. Hearing some footsteps coming really close to the tree, I decided to something really crazy. Quickly jumping out from behind the tree, I pointed my right hand at a close group of six humanoids, before yelling. "Ignis!" Ignis is a Latin form of the word 'fire,' which I remember from taking Latin classes.

Luckily for me, a bolt of fire quickly shot out of my hand, and disintegrated the six soldiers in a flash of fire. 'YES! It worked!' The only reason I tried that idea, was because it always seemed like Latin always works for spells in movies and the like. Feeling a quick pain in my legs, I remembered the four other soldiers firing at me. I rolled out of the way, before pulling out my staff, and rushing forward, and slamming it into the neck of one soldier, killing it, before I fired a blast of fire at a group of two soldiers, burning them alive. I turned to the last soldier, and rushed forward, ignoring the pain in my shoulder and legs, before slamming my staff into his face, knocking him back a bit, before burning him alive.

Once the soldiers were all defeated, I sighed, before walking over to a stone I used as a seat earlier, before hearing the sound of fire burning and crackling. I quickly turned around to see the surrounding forest was on fire, and the fire was spreading. Spreading fast. I ran forward, and stuck my arms out, hoping to call the fire back to me. It seemed to work for a second, as a flame seemed to almost fly to me, before returning back. 'That probably won't work unless I train my powers more.' I quickly sidestepped a falling tree, before deciding to run off and try to find a lake or something to put the fire out.

I made to run out of the clearing, but realized something. I was surrounded by fire. I don't know if I'm immune to fire, so I don't want to test it out in case I wasn't, and got badly burned or died. I kept on turning around, trying to keep track of all the fire, before I heard the sounds of people shouting.

I had followed the unlikely pair of Discord and Luna into the camp, glancing around as I could feel the glares of ponies digging into me. The walls of this camp consisted of heavy sharpened logs rammed into the forest floor, making a tight ring around the clearing. Nothing was fancy or permanent in this encampment, besides the proudly standing castle, despite the burn marks covering it. "Discord, can thou be bothered to help with repairs? We would appreciate it greatly." Luna asked. In a blink of the eye, Discord was wearing a World War 2 Era general's outfit, complete with metal helmet as he saluted, and marched off towards the repair crew.

"We must Apologize. Discord is childish at times." I nodded, motioning for her to continue as we approached the Castle. "These beings called the Grineer appeared a few years ago. It was during the last clash between our sister and I and Discord. We each had cast a spell to seal him, hopefully to end the original conflict, only for him to deflect them. Unfortunately, his deflection turned them into holes in The Veil, which brought this legion of beings to our plane. Since he did mention the Void.." She passed through the doors to the castle, unharmed as she spoke.

I stood outside the door, with a set of spears stabbed into my armor. "You know, you should be polite to The Princess' guest." I quickly turned, snapping the heads off the spears as I continued in. "Otherwise, They tend to make lives harder." I said, proceeding in with the splintered ends sticking out from my armor coat. "As you were Saying?"

Luna looked at me with a mixture of 'Did you really just do that?' and 'I'm not even gonna ask.' "Yes... Discord mention the Void, saying someone sent you here. Would you happen to know if any others may have been brought to our world as well?" I sighed softly, continuing to follow dark pony princess, the sound of her horseshoes echoing through the quiet halls with a gentle clip.

"I do not know for sure, but I will assume that, due to the enemy and my role as theirs, I believe there should be at least 20 something others similar to me." The sound of wings popping open and the look of happiness in the lunar diarch's eyes was adorable.

"Oh joyous day! If they even have a fraction of your ability or durability, this war will end in no time! We must make haste to the throne room!" Luna bounced around like a giddy schoolfilly, removing any impression of being prim and proper. "What is thine name, noble knight?" She asked, her hooves up on my chest.

They are quite expressive, despite being horses..and It will do no good to tell them a name that has no meaning here."My Name is Frost. I am a-" However, I was cut off and her mood was soured at the sound of bells. I could faintly make out was was being said. "..ire...fir... all... gasi..." ire.. Fir... Fire!?

"It seems something has caused a forest fire... Pegasi are probably trying to get clouds to put it out." Luna mused, her tone returning to its original somber tone.

"Can you lift me?"

"Excuse me, Art thou suggesting we drop you in the midst of it?"

"Yes. I command ice. Ice when melted turns to water. Water puts out fires. Can you manage to air drop me in?"

"We Believe so. Can you delay the flame's approach to the encampment?" Luna asked as I felt the tingle of her navy aura surround me, as she took wing, flying out the nearest window and towards the burning ring.

"I'll do my Best."

"Godspeed, Frost."

I was dropped to the forest floor outside the ring, hearing the crackling of wood and... Screaming Grineer? I called out towards the ring. "Is there anyone over there? Possibly an Ember?" I created one of my domes, covering a section of flame and snuffing it out, mercy killing the singed Grineer. "If so, Stop using your Abilities!"

I was on my way to the castle I had seen, when I saw smoke begin coming out of the near by forest. I carefully weighed my options.

'One, I may get hurt in the fire, perhaps even killed. Two, I might find some people.. Three, I might rescue some people. Four-' My stomach decided to cut in with a growl. 'I might find some food. Five... there is no five. Going wins three to one.' With that, I changed course, and began jogging to the forest.

I looked over the other warframes surprised to see that the mag looked to be holding a diplomatic approach between the others.

"Well things are getting a bit lively" I said making everyone turn to me.

"Bolt are you sure that there is 23 warframes in total currently on equestria" asked nisha.

"I'm sure as frankly as we keep finding other warframes like this the more sure I get" I said.

"By the way what the hell happened to your face! When you took off that helmet I nearly had a heart attack" said nisha making the others curious. Luna had left to attend to some personal matter earlier so that left us to get to know each other.

Seeing the curious looks on the others body language I pulled off my helmet making the others back up in shock.

"I think it's the technocyte virus. I mean think about it we went from ordinary humans in costumes to actual tenno. The change in DNA must have introduced the virus mid transit and for some of us the changes are noticeable. If you haven't noticed we still have to be able to eat if we can. So far it seems we kept most of our human dna. If I remember right about equestrian lore there is a desperate dimension connected to this one. But by the looks of it the mirror that acts as the portal to it hasn't been found yet" I said.

Suddenly we heard a alarm about a fire. Quickly putting on my helmet I ran to a nearby window.

"Shoot looks like Ember or whoever became her was trying to control her powers! I'm going to help get some rain over there" I said and turned to moonlight.

"Moonlight watch chrysalis with the others" I added.

"You can count on me" said moonlight surprising nisha and chuck as well as everyone else.

Using my natural speed I quickly got to the site of the fire noting Luna had located frost.

Leting my electric powers flow I hoped this would work. I aimed above the sky and shot a large bolt of electricity adding to the humidity and causing water vapor to gather creating a storm cloud surprising Luna and the frost when they noted my presence. Just then the storm cloud I created released the water helping frost to put out the fire. I just barely made out the ember warframe looking at the sky confused before frost pulled her out of there. I felt really drained as I moved closer to them. Note to self don't use so much energy in one go.

As I ran towards the castle I started making notice in the changes of my body, my muscles were more toned, i was stronger, faster, and my sense of hearing had drastically improved I could hear everything from my own footsteps to the sound of a nearby fire. Wait..fire!? I turned towards the sound there it was clear as day a forest fire.

I noted that there was a single rain cloud above it and a winged pony (Pegasus maybe?) carrying someone towards it. Maybe there is something I could do to help I went to turn towards it, when I found myself met with a group of about 15 Grineer I recognized them from the game , seven of them had shields, three were standard lancers, and there were five heavy gunners. I sighed This might take some time. I grabbed my crossbow off my back and started my assault.
(Shortly after)
That went pretty much as expected I was currently running away from the remaining Grineer I had no trouble taking out the lancers, but the gunner and those with the shields were much smarter than I anticipated, they had grouped together and covered just about every vulnerable point.

An all out attack would work because Dodging the gunner’s bullets were next to impossible I had tried stealth and it worked for a while till I realised they could easily follow where my throwing stars came from. I had no ammo for either weapon left and so doing the sensible thing I ran.

hence my current dilemma They were smart the only shots they got in were at my legs and feet any moment now I’ll collapse and they’ll catch me, I know one thing for sure they are trying to catch me not kill me and I can’t decide which is worse.

I had just climbed to the top of a hill, and was looking down. I looked around, seeing if there was anything interesting near the hill on her way to the forest fire. I spotted a wounded Banshee running from some Grineer.

“Not on my watch, you won’t.” I muttered as she sprinted down the hill, drawing Mire as I did so. Sliding occasionally to catch my breath on the way down, I quickly came within earshot of the enemy.

“Rentroy aass Tenno!” One of them shouted. About a second after that was spoken, I jumped, and impaled a Grineer as I came down.

“Ug ka, Tenno, soana hat horoi!” The downed Grineer said before the life left his eyes. I quickly spun around, and managed to get one or two more kills before the gunners opened fire, and the shield bearers turned around. I smiled behind my mask as I remembered exactly what I would do in game if I were in this situation. I did what any melee user would do. I ran towards the largest concentration of gunners, swinging my sword. I felt Mire quiver slightly in my grip as it absorbed the blood of my kills. After about a second of this, a pain in my back reminded me that I was still hurt from my last fight.

(Forgedheart)

Hearing the death cries of my pursuers I turn to see just who is responsible and am met with what appears to be the saryn warframe wielding Mire. I cheered YES! I’m saved! but I was brought out of my celebration as I could hear her labored breath from here “damn, well if she can fight while injured so can I!” I ran towards one of the gunners, dropped into a slide and slashed with my nikana, I then turned towards saryn and asked “Need some help?” She nodded.

“Yes please. Killed a twenty or so of these guys back in a cave before I got cornered. Tore me up something nasty.” I smiled (Even though you couldn’t see it) “Yeah these assholes just showed up after I killed what I assumed to be a small scouting party.” I went to work slaying as many grineer as possible before my legs gave out on me. It wasn’t long before we had finished them off and as soon as the last gunner dropped so did . “Oww fuck those bastards were pretty dead set on destroying my legs.” I sighed as I hit the ground. The Saryn sat next to me, groaning slightly. She had a few more wounds, and some had reopened. For some reason, instead of blood, she bleed a purplish ichor.

“Good tactics, but they were still just Grineer in the end.” I shook my head at her “But they had heavy gunners. Those thing can tear through you rather quickly” She nodded.

“True. But if you know how to cut through them quick enough, they can’t do much. Even when I played the game-” She paused for a moment. “- You did play Warframe, right? We aren't from two different dimensions. I mean, you aren’t an actual Tenno, right?” I laughed at that “No no I am or at least was human, I did play the game, we are from the same dimension, and to top it all off I used to be a guy.” Saryn was silent for a moment, before bursting into laughter.

“I-I’m sorry.” She said after a moment. “I had just read and watched way too many things like that for it NOT to be funny. Still-” She said, briefly attempting to brush a tear from her eye before realizing that there was a mask in the way. “I had a trans friend back home. So I’ve heard all that stuff about being in the wrong body. Sorry again.” I shook my head “It’s fine. By the way”-I extended my hands towards her”-my name’s Kiyoshi Takenaka, but my friends call me Yoshi.”

“My name is Aisha. But I’m thinking about going by Saryn now. Since, ya know.” She gestured to her body. “But I’m not quite sure.” I shrugged “But Banshee sounds to serious, I’m not a serious kinda guy-er girl.” She shrugged.

“Whatever you want. Hmm, our Warframe names could be like titles. You know, like how Natsu from Fairy Tail is sometimes called Salamander. That would also beat being called ‘ms.’ or ‘mrs.’ in high society like things. Plus-” She said shaking her head. “I could never quite get those two honorifics straight.” I nodded “Yeah. Anyway, can you help me stand or make a splint or something? I noticed a fire earlier and they might need our help.” She nodded.

“Yah, I was going there before I spotted you. Anyway, here.” She said. She brought my arm around her shoulders, and brought me up. “Let’s go then.” I smiled inwardly “yeah.” She hesitated for a moment before adding something.

“Just don’t make any wisecracks relating to your former manhood and this situation. Ok?”
I chuckled “Sure thing. I dropped my man card a while back anyway.” She nodded happily. We then began to make our way to the burning forest.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!", I screamed. As much as it pains for me to admit, I did scream like a little girl... watching an eagle eating a whole cheesecake balanced on the **** of a fat man who is covered in shit.

I screamed that bad, falling headwards and all that...

Except, what I realised after a second, I wasn't falling. "I... I am not falling? I AM NOT FALLING! But wait... my head is pointing downwards, isn't it?"

As my vision cleared, I saw that I was in what seemed to be a camp. A military camp.

And in the hold of a complete and utter chimera, which I could tell from his tail and legs (A male one, I checked!): "Actually, the whole world is pointing downwards, and you are pointing upwards."

I think about that for a moment, before replying: "That makes sense... I guess."

Judging from the short pain inflicted through my armour, he was hurt by that, but doesn't want me to know.

"So, were you sent from the Twins or the Employer? I hope you were, it would be great to find one who was already!"

I looked dumbfounded between his legs, at his tail, seeing how I was still hanging downside up: "Well, I was having a job-interview when this happened... Could you please let go of me?"

"Ah, so it was the Employer! Perfect, and sure I can, you can enter the Barrier too, eh?.", the chimera told me.

"Why is my vision filled with spaghetties with tomato-sauce?

I quickly ran around the small open space I had, noticing all the other Warframes trying to put out the fire. I saw bolts of electricity shoot into the sky, and create rain clouds, to put out the fires, and waves of ice also help put out the fires. I mentally sighed, but was still panicking, as the fire quickly spreads. I heard something land behind me, and turned to see another Warframe.

“.... Stop using your Abilities!” The Frame called out, his armor glowing orange in the light of the flames.

“I’m not! This was just one fire! I didn’t even expect their bodies to spread the fire when they died!” I said, still panicking.

Frost facepalmed, casting additional waves to his sides as the tree lit with Flame, freezing them solid. “Look, If you are Ember, Draw the flames inward and fire them towards the sky!”

“I tried that already. It didn’t work.” I turned around, before thinking. “But maybe since the fire is smaller, it just might work this time.” I stuck my hands out towards the fire, and closed my eyes, concentrating on drawing the fire to me. I opened my eyes, to see massive waves of fire coming straight to my hands, and becoming an unstable ball of fire between my hands.

Frost dropped to his knees, His shoulders heaving as if he was breathing heavily. “I don’t know who the lightning caster was, but I think I might be able to freeze the area. Think you can handle it?” he called out, a orb of ice appearing in his palm as he raised it skyward.

I nodded, before gritting my teeth together, and pulling more of the fire over to me. I had about half the entire forest fire between my armored palms. “I think I can do this. Just make sure it doesn’t spread more!”
Frost nodded, staying in his crouched position as the orb began to grow further, pulling in what humidity he could, only for it to rocket skyward, expand, and suddenly drop a massive amount of snow and ice on the burning ring, Smothering Flame and ember alike.

I eventually pulled in all the fire I could, before pushing my hands together, compressing the ball of fire in between my hands. When it was the size of a softball, I pulled my hand back, and threw it into the air as fast and hard as I could, where it went rather high, before blowing up in some small fireworks. “Nice.” I then remembered I got shot in the shoulder and leg, and fell down, grasping my shoulder, as blood started pouring out. “And there’s the adrenaline.”

“Cauterize your own wound… I’m pretty sure your armor will repair itself… I think I need a Nap..” Frost collapsed just then, his breathing still heavy but beginning to mellow, as a blue winged unicorn decided to land just then.

“Well… It seems Frost is not the most effective caster, but he is efficient. And who might you be?” I used a small gout of flame to cauterize the bullet wounds on my injured limbs before standing up.

“Blaise. You can just call me Blaise. And you might be?” I asked, deciding not to use the Warframe’s name, but my own.

“I am Princess Luna...“ She paused for a moment, looking back and forth. “... And We art part of the Harmonic Alliance with Discord, Lord of Chaos. You seem to be armored much like Frost. Art thou a knight as well?”
I looked back at the form of Frost, before shrugging. “I guess. All I know for sure now is that I have bullets in my shoulder and leg, and cauterizing only stops blood.”

“Bullets? Art those the bits of metal that we are finding in our little ponies after fighting these abominations?” Her gaze turned both curious and suspicious, her wings folding close to her sides.

“Yes, those are bullets. Small metal projectiles fired at fast speeds towards a target. Highly dangerous, especially if they hit vital organs, like the heart or brain.” I stated, recalling from memory what I know about guns. I’m just personally glad I only have a boa staff to deal with.

“That we have noticed far too often.” the lunar diarch sighed, just as Frost stirred a bit, shaking snow off his broad frame.

“Now I know why Skyrim people ragdoll when they lack stamina…” Frost muttered, standing up, if a bit shakily. “Oh, seems like Avalanche worked. Any lingering embers?”

I closed my eyes, and didn’t really feel any fires nearby. “Only me, and I’m choosing not to be Ember, so just call me Blaise.” I said in a joking manner.

“Blaze?”

“Yeah… let’s just go with that. It’s actually with an ‘i’ and an ‘s,’ but you can call me Blaze if you want.”

“With an ‘i’ and ‘s’.. Blasie?”

“And you mispronounced that on purpose. ‘Blasie’ doesn’t sound like ‘Blaise’ or ‘Blaze’ at all.
Frost chuckled.

“I know, I have a unique spelling of my real name as well, despite being said the same. Anyways, Princess Luna, This was one of the other 20 or so ‘knights’ that I mentioned before. I think it would be prudent to return to your castle and see your sister.” He said, his boots crunching in the fresh snow as he rebalanced himself.

“Do you know if there are other Warframes here?” I asked, as I walked over to one of the burnt corpses of the ‘Grineer’ I believe they’re called, before pulling off a sharp piece of heated metal, and heated it up more, before jabbing it in my shoulder, and pulling out the bullets imbedded in my shoulder, before doing the same to my leg.

“Considering the Grineer are here, I wouldn’t doubt it. I’m hazarding a guess that Corpus are also here, in some form.” Frost mentioned, leaving a bewildered, and slightly nauseated Luna between the two conversing warriors.

“They have a name? There’s another faction? Where art my dear sister at times like these, or even Mother…And must thou really do that to oneself? We have healers at the castle for that very reason.” Luna sat on her haunches, resting her muzzle between her front hooves.

“It’s nothing I haven’t done before. I was once shot by a crazy old guy while camping, and had to remove a few bullets without anyone else nearby.” I turned to face Frost.

“It’s been awhile since I refreshed my memory of the factions and lore, so bare with me here. The Corpus were a corporation right?” I asked, as I stuffed the metal piece away for later.

“Yeah, the Corpus are greedy bastards who want to mass produce powerful things. I’ll cover what I have memorized when we get back to the castle.” Frost bowed slightly, motioning towards the spire in the distance. “Shall we?”

Just then another warframe walked up stumbling a bit.

"Luna remind me not to release so much energy in one go like that again. Creating rainclouds like I did was draining." he said almost falling if frost didn't catch him.

"Bolt? Oh right we forgot sister brought thou and six other knights to the castle" said Luna sheepishly.

"Bolt?" I asked.

"Well I can't use my old name anymore, I don't really look like a jack trans anymore" said the volt warframe.

"Hm.. Well, I believe we should return to the castle, and familiarize ourselves with each other.” said Frost. Bolt nodded in agreement.

Frost moved to support Bolt as two new beings entered the burnt and frozen clearing, the sound of crunching snow signaling their approach. It was another warframe who looked to be.. “Saryn! Banshee!” said Bolt, shock readily apparent in his voice. Saryn who was supporting banshee or rather both were supporting the other took a few weak steps, and proceeded to collapse, falling on one of the slowly melting snowdrifts.

"Princess Luna, Those two are some of our comrades. Would you mind helping us transport them?" Asked Frost. Luna nodded, the diarch’s horn alighting with magic as she levitated the warframes to our little group as we headed out.

"Great. Chrysalis is going to be worried." muttered Bolt.

"Who?" I asked.

"A changeling who has pretty much now thinks I'm her dad. Also, Luna, drop the illusion. You’re only twelve years old. You don't have to look older like that" said bolt making Luna look surprised.
"How did you.." asked Luna.

"Celestia looks like she's in her teens and your her little sister. Of course I would know your under an illusion." said bolt. But before the princess could retort the electric warframe slumped.

"Ah, Used a bit too much energy himself.." Frost mused, taking a look at the unconscious Tenno. I sighed feeling that things would just get crazier and crazier from this point on. And I thought my gender change was weird.

FrostTheWolf + Solarkness

Oberon My head was pounding like crazy by the time Heartblade’s teleportation spell wore off and I was back on solid ground. When I opened my eyes again, I found myself in a deep frozen cave that reminded me of the Rebel Base on Hoth. No wonder I have been getting Flashbacks to The Empire Strikes Back. I saw Heartblade nearby with a pegasus mare that had an Ebony mane and a hazelnut fur coat with another mark on it’s rear. This time of a bow and arrow.

“Hey Arrowhead, I got you something that I could salvage from a weapons crate. Hope you find it useful.”

“Thanks Heartbla-.” The Unicorn stopped talking once he laid eyes on me, drawing back his newfound Longbow in defense. Unlike him though, I didn’t draw any weapons. He was doing it because he was scared. “Captain, What is that thing-!?”

“Colonel, stand down.” Heartblade ordered with a firm tone in his voice. “This is Oberon. He’s a Tenno that saved my life.”

Arrowhead’s eyes widened, putting his bow aside as he looked back at me. “M-my apologies, great one. I did not know-.”

“There is no need to apologize,” I assured him. “A lot of people would do things out of instinct if they’re scared or intimidated. That’s why you shouldn’t be quick to presume the worst in people.”

“You are right, Oberon. But we must not delay. Princess Platinum must be notified,” Heartblade ushered me as we started to walk down the frozen hallway. “Arrowhead, how are the evacuation plans as of right now?”

“We’ve evacuated all of the civilians and commoners. Most of the troops besides the ones in your patrol have gone with the evacuees in order to protect them. Speaking of which, what happened to your patrol?”

“They’re gone, Arrowhead. Those Bucketheads killed every one of them. If it weren’t for the Tenno, I would’ve been captured by them.”

“Dear Celestia, have mercy.” The mare swore. “Now it’s just only us, the Princess and Chancellor.”

“Who-?”

“Chancellor Puddinghead. She’s grown unwell ever since she and Princess Platinum were attacked by those Bucketheads a few days ago.”

“You mean the Corpus?”

Both ponies look at me with puzzled looks on their muzzles. “Corpus? You know about them?”

“Indeed, they’re a corrupt merchant cult that does whatever it takes to sell anything to anyone in order to gain profit. If they’re here, then they must’ve found something valuable about this place. But let’s not focus on me right now. Take me to your chancellor.” I was beginning to walk past the two ponies, but was interrupted when I heard Heartblade speak again

“B-but Oberon! She isn’t doing well. We should-!!” At this point, I spun around, looking at both of the ponies below me and getting on one knee.

“I can heal her to where she could be able to walk around like nothing ever happened to her. And, judging from what you were going to say and the tone you said it in, you seem to be clinging onto hope.”

“W-well, the clerics had tried to keep her stable, but they said that any unknown source of energy could disrupt the healing process.”

“Trust me… I know what I’m doing.” I said before going through the next door. I saw a female pony with a horn lying on the bed that was in the center of the room in prayer with another mare tucked in it. The Unicorn was dressed as if she was of royalty while the pony in the bed looked pale. I didn’t see any horn or wings on her, so I thought that she was… well… Normal.

“W-who are you!?” The Pony which I assumed to be Princess Platinum demanded. In response, I bowed down to the floor and got on one knee.

“Princess Platinum, my name is Varen Luko; but I am known as Oberon. I am a Tenno.”

“So… you’re one of the warriors that Celestia had mentioned?” I nodded my head, explaining everything to her from my arrival to saving Heartblade and also how I could heal the Chancellor. Her eyes widened, seeing it as a sign of hope.

“Princess, shall I help restore your comrade?”

“Please… hurry.”

I nodded, letting the holy energy release itself from my fingertips and casting it on the pony that laid down in the bed. After a few seconds, her eyes shot open, looking around the room. “P-platinum? Is that you?”

“Oh my dear friend, I am relieved to see that you are well.”

“Indeed,” she replied before turning to see me. “Were you the one who healed me?”

“I was just simply doing what needed to be done,” I told her. “I am Oberon, a Tenno Warrior. I was told by your companions that you know of someone that might understand what is going on?”

The Earth pony nodded. “Of course. Celestia and her sister Luna. We need to get to them now though. I fear that with the amount of time we spent here that our enemies could be knocking on our doorstep.”

“I agree,” Heartblade replied. “Princess, if you can lend me a hoof with this spell, I can have all of us be at their location as soon as possible.”

“Certainly, Captain. Everypony get ready.”

As they were making preparations though, I began to hear screams and cries from outside the base. As I moved from the room, I heard what sounded like a single word in the Corpus language being spoken

ITTEYPEP.

As my sensors in my head began to translate, I began to hear a few loud roars as a flash of light went off behind me. I turned around, only to see Arrowhead behind me.

“Arrowhead? Why aren’t you with the others?”

“Heartblade told me to stay with you. He thought that something was wrong and that I would need your help.”

“Oh we definitely will need each others help. Tell me, does this place have any weapons?”

“Yes, we’ve been uncovering Tenno weapons lockers over the past week, but haven’t been able to get most of them open.”

“Well, we need you to get ready. Because we got something far worse than the Corpus we need to deal with.”

As she trotted next to me, the mare became worried. “Worse?”

“Yes…” I replied as the Corpus word I heard before; was finished translating.

ITTEYPEP

Infested.

“We need to deal with a series of abominations called the infested. They’re creatures that are infected with a Virus that could kill all organic life like you and I. If the two of us are to live, we need to be ready for the fight ahead and your bow won’t be enough.” I told her as she directed me to the storage lockers that her kind had found. “You’ll need a secondary weapon and a combat weapon for if they get too close to you.”

There were only two other lockers, but both of them seemed to have the locking encryption be malfunctioned or damaged. Now was when I had to use my Dex Dakra as crowbars and popped the doors off of them like they were a can of peaches. Inside though, I found two weapons that would work for a range like combat specialist like I presumed Arrowhead was. The first was a set of throwing stars called Hikou, which were quiet and quick to unleash if thrown correctly. The second was a special kind of glaive that my systems in my Warframe identified as Cerata. Both of these items would have to do for now.

After fumbling a little with equipping the weapons onto the pegasus, the two of us were almost ready to move. After going over some simple hand signs and military slang from back home, I had Arrowhead watch my six while I kept my eyes peeled to what’s in front of me. Despite the chaos going on above up, the pegasus told us that it would be safer to go through the tunnels because of how they lead to a place called “White Tail Woods”. It was our only shot of staying alive.

Part way through our journey though, I clenched my fist and held it up. It was a cue for Arrowhead to hold her position as I checked what was on the ground in front of me. Using two fingers, I touched a smeared substance that was on the ground. Systems scans showed that the chemical traces was what would normally consist of the compounds that made Blood.

Which meant that something… or someone was killed here.

“Oberon?” I heard Arrowhead speak as I turned around. “Are those normal?” Looking at what she was referring to, I almost immediately froze. It was traces of the spores left behind by the Infested. But if those were there… and so was the blood… Oh no…

We were in their killbox.

A loud roar echoed from behind me as I turned around, quickly enough to get a shot off from my Latron to strike an Infested Charger between the eyes before two more of them showed up and charged past the corpse that disintegrated on the ground. Switching weapons, I unloaded a stream of Cestra shots into one of them while Arrowhead shot an arrow into the other abomination as they both collapsed on the floor. “Come on, we got to keep moving!” I told her, “And don’t touch anything!! The virus that infected them would infect you as well.”

She simply nodded, firing another arrow that struck a crawler that almost got my legs as we turned a corner into a hallway on the right. There were a few runners that were on our tail now because of the noise that came from the Infested we already dealt with, so to create some space between them and us, I used Oberon’s second ability: Hollow Ground, to set a patch of holy light that would hurt anything that came even close to it. In addition, any time we came by a set of doors or gates, I had Arrowhead shoot the locks or switches that held them in place to give them a barricade to try and rush through.

“We’re almost there!” She told me as I looked at the alleyway in front of me. “Just a little more!”

“Seriously!? All I see is a dead end-.”

My comment was interrupted the second we made it to the end of the hallway as the two of us were warped into a location that resembled less of the Rebels base on Hoth and more like the Forests of Endor. God, what is up with me and comparing things to Star Wars? Anyways, I saw Arrowhead a bit relieved.

“Whoo!! We made it!”

“Yes,” I told her. “We did make it out of there. But I have a hunch that we’re not alone.” I told her as my Warframe’s systems were picking up a nearby lifeform. However… it resembled another Warframe.

One that looked like Limbo. The Warframe of Rifts.

Limbo

...I didn’t know what to think about this. Here I was, dusting off the corners in the ...housings of the military camp, still being commanded by that chimera… I forgot to mention how exactly it looked, didn’t I? It’s head was… and its wings… with the tail being…

I give up. I have no way to explain this monstrosity.

“Oh, and please don’t forget the spider in the left corner!”, he shouted over to me, him doing something at the other side of the camp. I looked back to the corner I just dusted off, and sighed: “Do you have anything to do with strangely appearing spiders? Including webs?”

“What? Me? No! How could you even think I’d do that?”

I eyed the spider suspiciously. Now that I was thinking about it, it had the eyes of that chimera… I think he called himself ‘Discord’, its horns and colours…

I’m going to ignore this spiderweb.

I turned around, held the broom up… or would have, if the broom wouldn’t have gone missing. I am going insane.

“Oh, I think you have done that quite enough already! I think you should take a minute for yourself or something. I mean, your whole situation… I just now realized that couldn’t have been too coconut for you!”

I muttered. “I stopped caring about it three of your words ago.”

“Well, I am sure I would behave the same way you did. After all, if I would have been dragged across something I didn’t understand, land in a white void…”, he began only to be interrupted:

“Wait wait wait, what white void?”

“The Limbo? Where I fished you out of?”

“...I remember trying to GET there, but not actually Limbo itself…”

“Well, if you would instantly be able to do everything I guess there would be no fun, that’s why I don’t solve everything instantly after all”, Discord mumbled to himself, but at this he got louder. “Aww, who’s an adorable tenno who doesn’t understand what he does? You are! Why don’t you go get some fresh air or something? You forgot to dust off yourself!”

As I looked down, I saw dust covering my whole armor. “I hate you too.”

I turned around, and walked out of the camp. I didn’t stay to listen his reasons, and went towards a forest, even though there seemed to be a lot going on there… not the best place to train, but probably interesting.

As I saw fire in there, I stopped dead in my tracks. There is no reason for me to walk right into a forest fire. I turned around, saw a river and followed it instead. ‘Who knows,’ I thought, ‘It could lead to a place better suited for training’.

After a while, I arrived at another forest, this one fortunately not on fire. ‘Calm down’, I told myself, ‘It’s not like there will be Grineer and Corpus coming the instant you take out your weapons to take a look at them...’

First, I checked my primary weapon by opening up a slot for it in my leg-protections. It had a yellow base with a silver muzzle pointing out, I think it was called Viscar or Vuntar or something. Whatever the case, it was a sniper rifle and I could see extremely long distances.

I put my primary weapon back, and took out my secondary… I mean -ies.

Their handles / grips? was brown, and they had big, silver coloured bullet rounds and muzzles with lightblue dots on it…

As I looked at my last weapon, my melee-weapon, were actually four weapons to be worn at the feet and hands. They were all blue-silver, with the feet-parts having three ‘claws’, and the hand-parts four. When used, they would be electrified as to make each attack lethal.

I changed back to my primary weapon, and looked around…

I heard footsteps, and hoofsteps, coming closer. It seemed to come from behind me, so I pointed my gun there. The bush rustled, and…

Oberon

When I was walking through the forest with Arrowhead, I heard a nearby twitch and signaled Arrowhead to stay down. However, when her wing caused the bush to rustle, I saw the figure turn around, holding a Vulkar issued rifle that the Grineer would use. Thinking quickly, I kicked the weapon to the ground and pulled out my Dual Cestra’s. Only to see the other figure pull out… Akvasto’s?

“Drop your guns now.” I said firmly, trying to use the light from a standard Smite ability to shine some light on the Warframe.

“You’re not mugging me, are you? Because I’ll have you know these guns are mine, and you got your own.” he replied, still pointing his guns at me.

“No, because from what I can tell, you were trying to point your rifle at my friend who was hiding behind the bush.” At this moment, I showed another hand signal that meant “okay” as in okay for her to come out and Arrowhead stepped out, bow drawn and at the ready. “See?”

“Well, I would make a joke about me being blind… but I am not. And hey, ‘let’s sneak up at someone with a gun from behind and expect him NOT to be cautious of the mysterious rustling bushes! It will totally work!’

“I was originally going to calmly talk to you, but you moved your weapon and I could only think of the protection of my partner. Now, why don’t we put this past us and introduce ourselves. I’m Varen, but call me Oberon. This is Arrowhead.”

At this he slowly pointed down his guns, until he had them stored back in his pockets, and grabbed his rifle. “Well, you can call me Limbo. Or you could call me Azione Tralasciare, whatever suits you, I guess. But if you prefer the latter, please use Azio. It’s better that way.”

“Okay then, Limbo.” I told him, setting my guns back on my sides. “It’ll be better if we try to stick together and try to find other people that are stuck in the same situation as us. You going anywhere right now?”

He sat down, and replied. “No, not really. But I was coming here to train in the use of my abilities, from something that’s kind of a military camp. Some weirdass chimera runs it.”

“Wait… Camp?” Arrowhead said. “Mister, would this Chimera happen to have a lions paw and an Eagle Talon by any chance?”

He nodded, “Yeah, and by chance it’s name is Discord. His mother wasn’t very creative, even I could think of that name by looking at him…”

“That’s… important. Discord is the spirit of Chao’s that’s working with the Princesses. Earlier, we got separated from a few others that were heading in that direction.” Arrowhead replied, “If we head that direction, then we can find the others. We’ve been told that any Warframe we find to take them to Princess Celestia.”

At this, Limbo held up a hand. “Wait wait wait, they are NOT to be used to dust off basically everything and clean up the camp?”

“No.” I told him.

“It’s official. Discord is a jackass.”, he exclaimed.

I sighed a little. “From what I know, the Corpus, Grineer, and also the Infested are here on this world and are pushing ponykind and other species to the brink of extinction. We’re the only ones who can keep that from happening. The Corpus are in the north, so I presume that the Grineer are to the south and the infested could be basically anywhere if you’re not careful. Got ambushed by them on the way here.”

Limbo, AKA Azio, stared at me slackjawed. And stared… and stared…

“Let me make this simple for you…” I then mustered, in my best Arnold Schwarzenegger voice. “Come with me if you want to live.”

“Did you just say that I am one of the only ones who can keep the extinction of several species from happening??? ARE YOU MAD? I CAN’T EVEN ENTER THE LIMBO WITHOUT BLACKING OUT, HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO DO THAT???”, he hysterically shouted.

-----Nearby, a Grineer troop that was roaming around-----

-”Did you just hear that?”-, a heavy gunner wondered.

“Do I have to investigate? My brother told me not to!”, a butcher asked.

-----Back to the important guys-----

“You idiot! Don’t you think that yelling like that would attract attention!!” I snapped at him in a low but serious tone. I looked at him with my scanners inside my helm and realized the problem with Limbo. He had no energy. Zip. Nada. Zilch. He was dried up like a lake in the Serengeti in Africa. Looking through my inventory, I was personally surprised to find something he might need once he stopped yelling.

Energy restore. A piece of gear that could restore the energy of a Warframe. “Here. Use this and calm down. You don’t have any energy, so that could be the reason why you’re blacking out.”

As I looked up, and at him, I saw him curled up and muttering, “It’s just gonna be like in your old job… everyone’s gonna scream at you for being bad and coming too late, but these won’t fire you… at least not in the metaphorical sense…”

I sighed, cracking the energy restore over his head as I let the mystical teal like energy restore him before he even realized what was going on. I was about done when I heard something else. “Arrowhead, keep an eye on him for a minute.”

The mare nodded and went to him as I used my Latron’s sight to look at what was in the distance. “Well, Sh*t.”

“What’s wrong?”

“We got some visitors. It’s the Grineer.” I tell them. “They don’t see us, but something tells me that might change soon.”

“Um…”, Limbo asked, “It’s not like they are walking down a river towards us, right? Because that might be… the way the camp is.

I now stared at him, sighing. “Well great... Arrowhead, go up top. Limbo, stay down and out of sight.”

“Why?”

“Things are about to get loud.”

That’s when I aimed my weapon and without even thinking twice, pulled the trigger. The shot went off, blowing off the grineer ballista’s disfigured head as I unloaded two more shots into the nearby troopers.

As I quickly looked around, I saw Limbo lying on the ground a bit higher, and aiming. He shot off six bullets in rapid succession, but seemingly hit not a single Grineer.

“Steady your aim.” I suggested. I used my Cestra’s now to hit the troops in the kneecaps, preventing them from moving anywhere. “Now!”

He pulled the trigger… only to find out he had no more bullets. The magazine of the Vulkar is six shots, and he had no reserve-magazine. “Later?”, he asked, before fumbling to get out his secondary weapons.

“Son of a B-.” Before he could fire again, I had to switch to my Dex Dakra’s and used both blades to Slice and Dice the Grineer butchers into nothing more than dismembered body parts. For the few that remained, I used all the energy I had to activate Oberon’s strongest ability, Reckoning, which picked up all the Grineer like I was using the force before slamming them down and killing them. The remains of the foes turned to smoke while others dropped ammunition clips. Picking up a purple one, I tossed it to Limbo.

“Here. You might need these.” I told him.

He took it from me, before storing it somewhere and aiming with his dual guns. “Try to dodge rapid-f-”

“Dude… We killed them. They’re down for the count. All that’s left here are there ammo clips and-. Hold on…” When I said that, I was referring to the blue energy ball that looked like a globe. “Well, I’ll be damned. Looks like we found a Nav Coordinate.”

“Well, can’t you at least let me look like I am actually doing something, even if it’s AFTER the battle? And I thought that was an energy-ball from the game…”

“They’re two blue energy spheres. Dark Blue is energy. Light blue is Nav Coordinates. And thanks to this one, it seems to be registering the area we’re in on my map.” I told him. “So, you said we needed to follow the river to the camp?”

Limbo sighed, before complaining. “How am I supposed to know whether it’s now a tone of blue lighter or darker? And yeah, I did. Where is Puddinghead?”

“Probably back at the camp with Princess Platinum. Come on, we should hurry before more of the Grineer show up.” Arrowhead said, going out ahead and leading us onward.

Limbo whispered to me. “But… isn’t he Puddinghead? How can he be here and in the camp at the same time?”

She is named Arrowhead. Puddinghead is an Earth Pony. Arrowhead is a pegasus. Puddinghead is a Chancellor while Arrowhead is a soldier.”

“...That went over my head. Both my Pudding- and Sparrowhead.”

“Arrow. Like Bow and Arrow.”

“I am going to assume you know what you are talking about and mention how wonderful eagles are. And what great beds Gryphons make.”

It’s official. Limbo is Caboose.
