On the outskirts of Ponyville, Link found a perfect spot to show off his amazing fighting techniques. The only problem was that there was no dummy to display it on. Link decided to just swing his sword for now, and save the dummy for later. He unsheathe ed the Master Sword and the Hylian shield from his back and he said "you might want to stand back a little."
The ponies and Spike did what Link advised them all to do and stood back to make some space for him. "Let's see what you can do." Said Rainbow Dash, eager to see what will happen.
Link took a breath, and did a few amazing vertical and horizontal slashes. He made a few grunting noises while he was slashing.
"Wow." Said the group in awe. They were truly impressed with his sword play. He did a few more slashes and this time, they were a little more acrobatic slashing. He did a back flip and did his last move by doing his jump attack (not at the group, but at a different direction.)
"How was that?" Link asked in a cool pose.
"That was amazing." Said Fluttershy in awe.
"Totally awesome!" Rainbow added.
"Absolutely athletic." Said Rarity.
"You are amazing with that sword." Said Twilight.
"Do you think you can teach me those moves?" Spike asked. The group looked at Spike a little surprised and concerned.
"I'm just kidding." Spike joked. He and the girls laughed at the comment.
"Well, if you'd like me to teach it, I will." Said Link. "But a sword is not a toy and it comes with a great responsibility"
"I know. I was just kidding. I really don't like swords I would just use my claws or my fire breath." Spike replied. He did a little playful hiss showing his toughness and he laughed.
Link chuckled and said "anyway, I know other tricks with a sword, but I rather prefer to show you later."
"Why?" Applejack asked.
"Well, for one thing, because they all require a strong practice dummy." Link answered.
"Oh, I can create one with my magic if you would like." Twilight suggested with a little excitement.
"Could you?" Link asked.
"Of course." Twilight replied. She carefully used her magic to poof up a practice dummy for swords, and it looked like a diamond dog.
"Wow." Link said "Thanks, Twilight."
"You're welcome, Link." Twilight replied politely.
"Well... I guess i might as well show you all now." Link said, preparing himself to use his hidden skills from when the Hero of Time taught him. Fluttershy, Twilight, Spike, and the rest eagerly waited for something to happen. Link took a breath, and hit the dummy with a few swings and knocked it to the ground, and performed the finishing blow, leaving an opening on the dummy. He back-flipped back over.
The group gave words of amazement and awe, really admiring that finishing move.
"Very impressive. What other moves do you have?" Twilight asked.
"Hmm... well, there's something I use called the shield attack to block my enemies attacks. If I wanted to, i would finish them off with the Helm Splitter. Allow me to show you." He took another breath, did the shield attack, making the dummy shake, and jumped in midair in a back-flip, hitting the dummy's head, splitting it in half with the master sword.
The group sounded more amazed than ever.
"Truly marvelous." said Rarity.
"Show us some more." said Rainbow Dash.
"Okay, okay." Link said while chuckling. "This one is called the back slice." He jumped sideways to the right, rolled, and sliced the dummy's back with a jump-slash.
Twilight, and her friends then started to applaud for him now.
"You rock. Woo hoo." Fluttershy quietly exclaimed.
"Thanks." Link said, blushing. He showed the group the mortal draw, and the jump strike, making them cheer even louder.
"Totally blown my mind." said Rainbow Dash.
"Now, for the last trick: The great spin." Link said. "Now, you might want to step back a little farther now," The ponies and Spike did what he told them, and he held himself in a pose for his ultimate attack. After five long short seconds, he released a red slice wave, like a small cyclone, cutting the whole body of the dummy in half. The practice dummy was now battered and shattered from the swings and strikes from the almighty Master Sword.
"That was awesome!" said Spike. He and the others came around Link to tell him how much of an amazing job he did with that sword. Link smiled from their flattery.
"Ah, thanks." Link said. He then thought of how nice these unfamiliar creatures are, and said "Say, can I show you all something?"
"What's that?" said Twilight as she and the group gave Link some space.
"Well... you see... i have a crystal that can allow me to...." Link was still kind of having a difficult time trying to explain what he was saying. Finally, he gave a little cough before he said "Transform."
"Transform?" the group exclaimed.
"Yes." Link answered.
"Into what?" said Applejack.
"I... I can't tell you now. You... wouldn't be able to handle it." Link replied with a little panic in his voice, starting to have second thoughts. Pinkie hurriedly came up to him, like a begging golden retriever puppy. "Show us, please please please please pleeeeeeeaaaaasssseee???????" she begged.
"Alright." Link said, giving into Pinkie's puppy dog eyes.
"Oh boy. I can't wait." said Rainbow Dash, waiting for the transformation.
Link was still unsure about this, but he reluctantly took out the shadow crystal from Midna, and touched it. He transformed into a black and white wolf with a broken chain tied to his leg.
The other ponies and Spike gasped with surprise.
"Oh my goodness." said Fluttersy, amazed by Link's wolf transformation. She walked up to Link, and hugged him, a little tightly. "Soooooo cute." Fluttershy squeaked.
Link felt uncomfortable, and tried to break free, but felt his belly being rubbed by Fluttershy, very gently. He gave small little growls of relaxation from the belly rubbing.
Fluttershy let Link go and said "sorry, I couldn't help it."
"It's alright, Fluttershy." Said Link.
Every pony's eyes went wide.
"He can talk as a wolf too?" Said Applejack in disbelief.
"Yes. I can." Link replied. "I hope I didn't scare you all."
"Are you kidding me? That's totally awesome." Rainbow admired.
"And I really love that small mane you have on your back." Rarity added. Link touched the crystal again, with his snout is time, and turned back into a Hylian.
"That's very fascinating." Said Twilight. "How did you get so much power like this?"
"It's a long story." Said Link. "I would rather prefer if we talked about it later."
Spike felt like he needed to burp and burped a small fire of green, revealing a scroll with. Mysterious seal about it. The baby dragon opened it, and after he read it, he said "Prinsess Celestia and Luna want us to come to Canterlot."
"For what?" Asked Fluttershy
"They said they want to meet a mysterious creature that's not from Equestria." Spike replied. They all looked at Link.
"Oh I think I know what creature they are talking about." Link said sarcastically. "Do they want to do something bad to me? Or take me prisoner?"
"No, of course not." Said Twilight. "They just want to see what you are. I promise."
"OK, well... How are we going to go to Canterlot?" Link asked a little unsure.
"From the train, silly." Pinkie said while knocking on Link's head.
"Come one, Sugarcube." Said Apllejack. "Let us show you."
Everypony got off the train, with Link behind them. "Wow. I have never been on a train ride before." He said.
"Until now." Said Applejack.
While walking through the streets of Canterlot, the townspeople didn't know what to think of Link, in fact, they kind of stared at him, like a creature they have never seen before. "Soooo... This is Canterlot?" Link asked
"Yep, the capital of Equestria." Fluttershy said.
The twin kind of reminded Link of Hyrule Castle Town with many people running in the streets like they were in a hurry, or shopping for something nice. Despite the staring, Link ignored them, and continued walking to the castle.
Inside, many guards stepped aside for Twilight to pass through, and the group went upstairs to the throne room. The Hylian really admired the beauty of the castle, and looked at the decor. It was just as nice as Hyrule castle back in his home.
"Here we are." Said Rarity. Twilight opened the door, and walked on a vermilion red rug, that led to two thrones. A white and blue Alicorn were sitting on them. The white one was larger than the blue, and the blue one was a little smaller. It had to be princess a Celestia and Princess Luna. Yes, it was.
"Ah, Twilight and friends. Welcome." Said the white Alicorn in a very motherly, and beautiful voice.
"Your majesty." Said Twilight. She and her friends bowed to her and Luna. Link was the last one to bow, because he was on the spot. A small shiver went down his spine with nervousness and a little worriment.
The two sisters walked up to the group, and they both looked at Link with astonishment. "Rise up, mighty creature." Said Luna
"M- me?" Said Link looking at the two.
"Yes, dear." Said Celestia kindly. Link slowly stood up on his legs, still a little nervous about what will happen to him next.
"Can you tell us your name?" Asked Celestia.
"Yes... Link." He replies. "My name is Link, your majesties."
"It is a pleasure to meet you, Link." Said Celestia, smiling.
"Indeed. Now, I really do not mean to be rude to ask you this, but where did you come from?" Luna said
"I,.. I don't know." Link admitted. "Well, I came from a land called Hyrule, a land from another dimension. I do not even know how I even got here, but I suddenly got... Transported here."
"I see." Said Celestia.
"What do you think you are here for." Asked Luna.
"Well... I have had this vision where... I saw these evil, horse like insects with bug-like eyes, trying to take over Hyrule."
The group and the princess' looked one another with a little shock and horror.
"I had the same vision like that too." Said Twilight.
"So did I." Spike added.
"Sister, you don't think that?..." Luna didn't know what to say.
"I think it is, Luna." Said Celestia. It sounded like a terrible was about to come, and it sounded like in a equestria too, since they all know what mind of vision link had.
"You know about this?" Link said
"Yes." Celestia replied.
"What is this." Link asked.
Celestia was silent for a moment, but, she said at last "They are called Changelings, insect-like creatures that can take the form of anypony, and feed on love from everypony to feed themselves. Their leaders is Queen Chrysalis. Twilight and her friends fought her almost a year ago."
"And we kicked her butt." Said Rainbow Dash.
"What do you think this could be?" Asked Twilight, a little worried.
"I don't know, Twi." Said Applejack, a little unfamiliar about what is going on right now.
""It means that she is... Back." Said Fluttershy, deathly scared by saying that.
"Calm down, everypony." Said Celestia. "Let's not panic right now. My soldiers will get to finding any clues of any return. Just don't worry about it too much.
With Celestia, it will be a little more okay because she and Luna are really powerful beings of Equestria. They all just hope that they thought right about the two princess'.
"Okay." Said Twilight.
"Wait!" Link said "I think I can fix this."
"Whoa whoa whoa, Link." Said Rainbow Dash. "That sounds a little dangerous."
"I've face things even more dangerous than those creatures." Link said.
"Do you really think you can take on the great queen Chrysalis?" Rarity asked
"Yes. Back in my world, I was known as the Hero of Twilight."
Everypony gave a confused look at eachother, and Rainbow snickered, mind of thinking that there is a romance coming on between Link and Twilight herself.
The purple Alicorn blushed at the statement, a d began to stammer a little.
"No no no no." Link said, worried that he just embarrassed Twilight. I mean in the Twilight realm in Hyrule. Not Twilight Sparkle." Link chuckled nervously. "I meant the Twilight realm in Hyrule, that is another world."
"Thanks, we were confused." Said Applejack.
The hero looked at Twilight, and said "I didn't mean that I have a crush on you or anything romantic between us. I mean in the Twilight Realm back in my homeland. I hope you understand, Twilight."
"Don't worry. I understand." Twilight said with a smile.
He smiled back at Twilight, and turned his attention back to Celestia and Luna. "Your majesties, I have saved Hyrule from an evil wizard named Ganondorf with this sword." He showed the two princess' the master sword, with the blade gleaming against the light.
"Intriguing." Said Celestia.
"I have never seen anything like that." Said Luna.
Link sheathed his sword back in the scabbard. "I know you might not believe me, because i am still a boy." He said.
"No, deary. We believe you. Right sister?" Said Celestia. Her younger sister nodded a yes with a smile. "I'll have our guards look into something like that like I said.
"And my guards as well." Luna added.
Link smiled at their remark. "Very well. If they are back, I will put a stop to it, to both protect my home, and in Equestria." He proudly said
"Thank you, Link" Celestia said gratefully. "You have a good heart, filled with courage."
"I am terribly sorry, but I am afraid that we are finished here." Luna said. "Thank you all for coming." Everypony, except Link, bowed their head to her in response and said their farewells to them before leaving the castle back to Ponyvlle.
Everyone in Ordon Village was in a tone of panic, realizing that their champion had just disappeared without a trace. Rusl led a search party that included himself and everyone in the village. They searched high and low, but no trace of him
"Yo, Pergie! Have you found him in the Faron pond?" Said Jaggle
"Sorry, honey. Nothin." His wife replied
"Where could he be?" Said Beth.
"He couldn't have just disappeared without a trace." Hanch added.
Talo gasped with searching In a bush and suggested "maybe he's invisible."
"No stupid." Said Malo unamused, "that could not be possible."
"Don't give up everyone. Just keep looking for him" Rusl announced "we will find him." He felt Colin gently pulling his pants
"Should we tell Princess Zelda about this?" Colin asked, very worried about Link right now.
"Of course son." Rusl said. "We'll make sure that Zelda. The Gorons, or even the Zoras will help too."
"I just hope he's okay." Colin said
"He'll be fine Colin." Rusl said fatherly. "We'll find him." He then gently rubbed Colin's head to make him feel more better, and the boy gave a little smile on his face, knowing that everything will be okay.
