After five minutes of….eventful walking I had arrived back at my current place of residence. Twilight’s library. I moved up to the door and knocked a few times. I heard movement from behind the door and I was surprised to see that twilight wasn’t the one at the door it was in a fact a baby dragon who I knew was called spike. He took one good look at them turned his head back inside and shouted “hey twilight your friends back” “oh he is well let him in then spike” was the reply from inside. He moved back inside and closely followed by me “thanks spike” I said to him as I closed the door behind me and pulled of my guitar and bag, putting the against the wall.
“No problem buddy” said spike as he went up the stairs, best guess he was probably going to sleep I was even more surprised that he hadn’t shown me any hostility whatsoever (“twilight must have told him about me when I was out doing errands”). I sat down on the sofa and spread out my arms across its arms and tilted my head back (”ah sofa you so comfy”) my little moment to myself was cut short when I heard the sound of hoof steps behind me, I tilted my head back a bit more and my gaze came across an upside down lavender unicorn who was looking at me with an odd expression.
“Oh hey twi what’s up cause at the moment you’re upside down” I said grinning happily this earned me a chuckle from her then she spoke “well hello to you matrix I was hoping you would like tom answer some questions, I’m curious to learn more about your world” I put a hand on my chin and made a face as I was in deep thought then answered “ok just let me get my laptop then we can get started” I then got off the sofa moved over to my bag and pulled out my laptop for the third time today and went back to sit down, I put my pc onto the small tables in front of the sofa and logged on.
As I pulled up Google twilight walked in floating some pieces of parchment and a quill and a pot of ink. (“I think she’s going to need a bit more than that”) I spoke to myself in my head as she sat ion then sofa next to me “right are you ready for a history lesson” I said to her “born ready” she replied as she levitated the quill and paper in front of her “all right then class is session”
So for the next FIVE hours I had explained to her all about earth and the human race with things like how our planet worked and its habitants, as well as how human society and government, language, culture all that stuff and when I had finally finished talking I looked to my left and I saw two stacks of parchment that were as tall as me and next to was a very sleeping looking twilight obviously tired from five hours of writing continuously. I chuckled a bit and turned off my laptop then I picked up the sleepy unicorn and brought her upstairs and gently put her into bed.
“Goodnight twilight” I said as I walked back down the stairs, I then remembered I needed to pick up my clothing from rarities so I quickly ran out the door and sped off towards the boutique.
I came back through the door ten minutes later carrying a smallish trunk containing my clothes. I was feeling a bit tired myself so I thought I would turn in to bed so picked up my guitar bag and pc as well and walked down into the basement where I thought I heard my bed call my name. I placed everything I was holding against a wall and I stripped down to my boxers and climbed into bed, I closed my eyes hoping that now I would be able to sleep peacefully this time….
…..I was wrong…..
I was in another nightmare, but I couldn’t tell that yet.
All I could see was blackness around me then suddenly the lights flicked on, I was in a cave, I instantly remembered where I was, I tried to move but I couldn’t to no avail, my arms and legs where chained to the wall I thrashed about but I soon grew tired, that’s when he walked in, it was the basterd that was in charge of torturing me when I was captured, he was holding a makeshift sledgehammer, the same one he used before.
He had two other men with him but they were both wearing face clothes he nodded to them and they both approached me, they threw punches and kicks at me from all angles until they grew tired. I was bleeding out the corners of my mouths, bruises were already forming on my body and my vision was starting to blur, the leader with the hammer again nodded to his two lackeys and they released me onto the floor, I was on my hands and knees breathing heavily trying to recover from the numerous blows I had just received, If this was a dream I felt real.
I looked up at the leader and he just had the evil smile he always had “have you had enough” he said in his heavy accent “do…..you’re…..f*****g….. Worst” I replied through my panting “hehehe you think you are so strong…but not strong enough. He picked up his sledge them swung it like a golf club and it struck my left shoulder with a loud crack “AAAAAAAAHHHHHH”
“AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH” I yelled as I sat up in my bed panting heavily sweat dripping down my head and chest clutching my burning shoulder. It took a few minutes to calm myself down. I hoped that I hadn’t woken anypony. “Great another bloody nightmare” I checked the time on my iPod it was 01:00 am “what does it take for a guy to get a good night’s sleep” I mumbled to myself. I swung my feet over the bed and held my head in my hands trying to clear my thoughts I looked up across the room and saw my guitar leaning against the wall if there was one thing that could help me sleep it’s probably music.
I reached over and picked it up in my hands and sat in on my lap I checked quickly to see if it was still in tune it was and I began strumming

Twilight’s POV
I woke up feeling a little groggy, probably from all that writing yesterday. I heard what sounded like a scream coming from downstairs. That sounded like matrix. I checked my bedside clock and it one o’clock in the morning. I slowly got out of bed and tried to stand up luckily I didn’t fall over. I saw spike still asleep in his bed. “He looks so cute when he’s sleeping” I said to myself I continued walking down the stairs towards the basement.
When I got to the door I could hear the sound of a guitar playing so I gently opened the door so I didn’t make any noise and I stuck my head round the door and I saw matrix, he was sitting on his bed playing his guitar but why at this hour. I sneakily moved down the stairs as not to disturb him.
Matrix POV

As I finished playing the outro to the song I suddenly felt like I was being watched. I turned my head to see twilight was standing there looking at me with a mixed look of deep worry, and curiosity then before I could speak she beat me to it “matrix…is there something wrong?” I knew there was no hiding it “well to be honest twilight no….had another nightmare and It probably worse than the other one”….then she cut me off “you’ve been having night mares, since when, what are they about?” I sighed then spoke again
“I’ve been having them since I got here and….there about…about the mission. I haven’t had a nightmare in months until now the first one was when I saw my teammates die” I was desperately trying to hold back tears “and tonight It was about when I was being tortured I put my hand on my shoulder trembling slightly. She put a hoof on my knee and spoke almost in a motherly like tone “matrix it’s alright it’s only natural to have them” at this point she had was hugging me and I returned the gesture
“thanks twilight” “and if it’s any help I’ll send a letter to the princesses in the morning to see if they can help at all” she said “yeah I would like that” I replied and we broke the hug I sighed in relief as I had finally got that of my chest. “and if you want I have a spell that can help sleep better until morning but I won’t be able to keep doing it forever” I smiled at the purple unicorn “thanks twi do your thing” I said before putting my guitar back against the wall and lying back on the bed, I looked over at her and I saw her horn began to glow. I suddenly felt sleepy and then I was out like a light.
Twilight was smiling as she looked at the now peacefully sleeping human on his bed, she was now very tired after performing that spell and so she went back to bed herself before she collapsed on the stairs.
Next morning I woke up feeling a whole lot better than last night. I flung myself out of bed and stretched out all the tension in my body and after hearing a certain click I let out a groan in relief. I walked over to the trunk containing my clothes and pulled out what I needed, a shirt, a pair of trouser and a pair of socks and underwear and put them on.
I had nothing planned for today so I came up with things to do but came up with nothing I then looked over to the other side of the room I noticed something sitting on the table next to the wall.
My flight suit and helmet.
Light bulb (“idea”) I spoke in my head, “I think a flying session is in order, feels like I haven’t flown in ages” I said to myself and walked over to the table.
A couple minutes later I appeared through the door into the main room wearing my flight suit with my helmet under my arms and my iPod and earphones in my pocket, twilight was sitting on the sofa reading a book as usual she looked up at me then asked out of curiosity “matrix what are doing and why are you wearing that” pointing a hoof at me “oh this, it’s my flight suit I’m going out for a spin if that ok with you” was my answer
“erm ok but aren’t you going to get something to eat I’ve made breakfast but you were sleep” “thanks twilight but I’m fine I’m not hungry but could you do me a favour and teleport me to my jet, I don’t want to go running through the whole town just to get there” “of course just one second” she said then quickly marked the page of the book she was reading and jumped of the sofa
She looked up at me then closed her eyes and her horns began to glow brightly and with a flash I was gone. I materialized in mid-air about a metre of the ground next to my jet and I landed on my feet almost falling over. I regained myself then climbed into the cockpit and strapped myself in to the seat. I flicked the switches to start up the engine and I was met with a high pitched whine of the turbines spinning up. I pulled out my iPod and plugged in my earphones then put my helmet on. I selected danger zone by Kenny logins and put it on repeat

(What top gun soundtracks are awesome and are perfect for flying) I pulled a lever to put the jet into hover mode and went full throttle. I felt a little bit of vibration in the pedals but that was normal I lifted off the ground then I moved the stick forward to begin flying straight. About sixty second later I was cruising through the clouds above the town almost near the speed of sound. As I was gazing at the scenery the song I was listening to reminded me of the scene from the top gun film where tom cruise did a close fly-by of the control tower. Then my inner troll took over my mind “let’s have soon fun with these pony’s” I said out loud over my music at full blast I banked to the left then began to dive down “let’s turn and burn I” again talking out loud whilst putting the throttle lever into the after burners. I was diving at a forty five degree angle towards the town gaining immense speed
Down below in the market place ponies where going about their daily businesses’ manning the stalls serving other ponies there goods and what not I was peaceful that is until a high pitched noise started getting louder and louder. Everypony was looking around for the source of the noise then one pony looked up and shouted “look up in the sky” they all did and what they saw was me heading towards to ground very fast but just at the last second I pulled up from the dive there was a massive boom noise that nearly threw every pony to the ground as I passed over the houses with mere metres to spare.
“WOOOOOOOHOOOOOO I STILL GOT IT!!!” I shouted whilst I performed a few barrels rolls then flew off into the clouds again out of site traveling faster than the speed of sound.
