Choices Legacy
Chapter 1
Destinies untold

Hello this will be the first story that I’ve written in a couple of years, and my first story on this site all together! So please if you see any mistakes that I’ve made, or you have a suggestion to help improve my writing then please go ahead and let me know. All flames will be taken down and used to make delicious s’mores!

Now Before I begin I want to say that this story wouldn’t have been possible without all the help I’ve gotten from Thegreateater, whom as far as I’m concerned is the co-writer of the story. I also want to thank Ocalhoun as well for providing me with details that were left out from the first story so thanks guys.

Now with that out of the way I welcome you to the sequel to Ocalhoun’s story One in a million https:
Here’s a link (hopefully anyway) if you haven’t read it yet.

Herald Dust had seen better days, his once pristine beige coat was now a dirty mess, his carefully groomed white mane was ragged, and unkempt, and his once trim stomach was now distended from hunger, and drink, but the most notable change had to be the scar that rested where his horn once stood. All in all a pony would be hard pressed to identify the pony currently hiding in one of the luggage cars of the Friendship Express as the former head master of the magic kindergarten of Equestria

“Six months, that’s how long it had been since that little orange buzzard had ruined his life! six months since he had been betrayed by his princesses. Six months since he was dismissed from his position in disgrace, and on what the words of a buzzard, and a mule born MUD PONY! Six months since he was thrown out on the streets by his so called family!” Herald thought to himself with a scowl on his face. “Soon though, soon they would all regret their betrayal!” Looking down at the note in front of him, his scowl was slowly replaced with a sinister looking smile as he decided to read the note again.

“Dear Mr. Dust,
Hello my name is of little importance to you at this time, however for now you may call me a friend. I write to you because the group that I represent has heard of the recent injustices that was done to you by the princesses that you had worked so hard to serve over the years, one of which you even helped teach!

My group would like to offer you a chance to regain what was stolen from you, and to take what is rightfully yours.
If this is to your liking, then come to Appaloosa and I will find you there.

Sincerely yours
A friend."

Celestia hadn’t even started to raise sun the over horizon as Sweetie Belle, and Apple Bloom made their way through the streets of Ponyville towards the palace of friendship to meet up with Scootaloo.

“So do you know why Scootaloo was so insistent about meeting up with us so early today Apple Bloom?” Sweetie Belle asked her friend with a barely muffled yawn. “I mean we barely see her for months and then, BAM all the sudden she needs us to meet her at the crack of dawn.”

“Sorry Sweetie Belle, but I’m as clueless as you are.” Apple Bloom said with a slight shrug of her shoulders as the palace came into view. “But whatever it is she needs us for sure had her worked up. I don’t think I’ve seen her so excited since she first told us Rainbow Dash was going to teach her how to fly!”

“Well whatever it is, I guess we’ll find out soon.” Sweetie Belle said as she went to knock on the crystal doors only to have them swing open to revile a grumpy looking Spike.

“How did ya know we we’re out here Spike?” Apple Bloom asked as spike turned around and waved for them to follow. “Simple really.” Spike said with a shrug. “I didn’t, Scootaloo was just starting to get anxious so she asked me to go look for you girls.”

“Can you at least tell us what’s so urgent the Scootaloo asked to come here this early Spike?” Sweetie Belle asked covering up another yawn.

“Sorry Sweetie, I wish I could but Scootaloo has been really hush, hush about what she’s trying to do, but if the glyphs I’ve been helping her set up are anything to go by, then whatever it is it’s going to be big!” Spike said with a slight shudder as he lead them through another door into the room where Scootaloo was waiting, only for their jaws to drop at what they saw.

There in the center of the floor was a complex rune matrix etched into the floor in chalk. Three circles, made up of smaller individual runes met in the middle of each other forming a Venn diagram, In the middle of each circle were three different types of crystals sitting in what looked like old candle holders, with a fourth crystal sitting in the center of where the circles intersected with each other.

“There you girls are,” Scootaloo said as she turned around with a triumphant grin. “I was beginning to worry you weren’t going to make it in time!”

“Scootaloo what is all this?” Apple Bloom asked her friend with a confused look.

“This Apple Bloom is the spell that’s going to change the world as we know it!”

The sounds of clicking, and hissing filled the air as Queen Chrysalis, and a clocked pony descended deeper, and deeper into a cave in the heart of the badlands.
"Tell me Atropa, how goes the preparations for our lords release?" Chrysalis asked her companion without so much as looking at her.

"If the stallion that I've contacted joins us, then he should be free within the month." Atropa says with a triumphant smirk on her face as she glanced over at the Changling queen as they continued their descent into the dark.
