After a good thirty minutes, Shymane, Rarity and the 4 fillies arrived at Sugarcube Corner, where a bouncy mare with a cotton candy like mane was bouncing. She looked at Shy and grinned, "Oh my Celestia, you must be the new pony I haven't heard of yet! Hi my name is Pinkie Pie, and I work here at Sugar Cube Corner, what's your name. No wait don't tell me, I bet I can guess what it is.... Mister Bluinstein?"
"A-actually it's S-" Shy tried to cut in.
"Ocean Scent? Ocean View? Aquamane? Oh wait I got it!" she cheered, pulling a cord that was on the ceiling as a banner fell down, reading 'Welcome Shymane!'.
Shymane was about to open his mouth to ask how she knew, before the young filly, Sweetie Belle stopped him "It's best not to question her..." she sighed, which had Shy nod.
Rarity was doing her best to muffle a giggle "Well, now that the introduction to Pinkie is out of the way, allow me to introduce you to my friends, darling." Rarity said, smiling as she gestured to 5 mares who were in the small food place. "The one wearing the unladylike shorts and top is Rainbow Dash, our local daredevil. The one hiding behind that beautiful pink mane is Fluttershy, our animal enthusiast. Then we have Twilight, our local magical expert. Applejack, the mare in charge of Ponyville's own Sweet Apple Acres and sister to my Sweetie's friend, Apple Bloom. Last, but not least, you met Pinkie Pie."
"Pleased to meet you all. My name is Shymane, and I have nothing to say about myself really. I'm just a stallion who lives on his own away from everypony else." Shy greeted with a slight bow.
"Good to meet cha!"RD said, with a smile as she smacked shy on the back in a friendly manor.
"Well howdy, parner. Good to meet another friendly face." AJ smiled as she spoke.
"Hello there, Mister Shymane. If you need to know anything about Ponyville, please don't hesitate to ask me" Twilight spoke, smiling as she fixed her glasses.
"U-um hi...."Fluttershy softly said, hiding behind Pinkie a bit.
"Hi! It's always amazing to meet new friends! I know everypony, except for the ones I haven't met yet, but will meet soon!" Pinkie cheered, bouncing a bit.
Shy rubbed his head as Rarity ushered him into a seat for him to get a drink "Come on darling, you look like you could use something nice to drink, maybe to eat too." Rarity slightly purred, before looking to Pinkie "Pinkie, darling, could you get our guest a nice cola?" Rarity asked, and Pinkie nodded, walking behind the counter to pour him a nice glass of Cola with some ice in it and a straw, handing it to him. the 4 fillies from before sat beside shy, getting shakes as the mares moved away to get on with what they were doing before hand.
"Howdy! Ah'm Apple Bloom, and these are the Cutie Mark Crusaders, Scootaloo, Sweetie Belle. The Black furred filly is our friend Heat Desire, or Heaty! She may look young but she is about as old as you." the young yellow filly told Shy, smiling.
"Well hello, girls. Pleased to meet you."Shy said, a bit more at ease then earlier that day. "It's so nice to see how kind everypony here is."
"Yea!" Scoots cheered, "Ponyville is full of cool ponies. Sorry that we had Rarity knock on your door, I thought it be better to get the coolest pony in Equestria to knock, but we happened to find rarity first."
"Oh well that's more then okay" Shy said, smiling.
The rest of the day went by fast, and Shy waved to the ponies he had met today before walking home. "You know...." he said to himself, "maybe living here wont be so boring."
