Ponies Watch Anime

Twilight Sparkle watches Lucky Star

It was a beautiful day in Ponyville. It was a dark and stormy night It was a beautiful stormy day in Ponyville. The rain reflected off the crystal castle on the edge of town, blissfully drenching any passing ponies. Ponies milled around the damp dirt roads, idly chatting and going about their daily business with their umbrellas over their heads. One lavender unicorn alicorn in particular was pacing anxiously by her door, waiting impatiently for a very "important" package.
"Delivery for Princess Twilight Sparkle!" Derpy called, ringing the doorbell to the crystal castle. "One DVD of-"
"Thank you, Derpy!" Twilight said, quickly taking the package upon opening the door.
"Sign here," Derpy said cheerfully, holding out a clipboard and pen, which Twilight took to sign her name. "Thank you very much for choosing Ponyville's mail services! Have a nice day!"
"Thank you, Derpy," Twilight giggled. "I can't wait to watch this!" After Derpy left, Twilight closed the castle door and trotted into the other room to put the DVD into the player. The menu screen came up on the crystal television the Tree of Harmony was kind enough to provide, and picked up the crystal remote with her magic, clicking the buttons until episode 1 began playing.
"Hey, Twilight! Can I watch?" Spike asked, suddenly walking into the room, causing Twilight to suddenly pause the high-pitched voices singing.
"Um, sure, Spike," Twilight answered, though a bit unsurely. She pressed the play button, causing the theme song to continue. "Honestly, how does she manage to be so athletic with all that hair...?" Twilight muttered in response to Konata, whose blue hair reached her ankles, managed to break a track record. "Do they really find it necessary to have a seven-minute conversation about food?!" As Konata, Miyuki, and Tsukasa seriously did talk about food for seven minutes.
"Twilight, could you be quiet?" Spike asked. "I can't hear the dialogue..."
Twilight didn't seem to hear him, however. "Honestly, she's so lazy but so swift; why isn't anime more like real life?"
"Because it's anime-"
"And these characters are so one-dimensional; just anime character stereotypes!"
"Twi-"
"And their voices are kind of annoying, Konata and Kagami's are so nasally! And Miyuki and Tsukasa sound like they're whispering!"
"But Twilight-"
"And honestly, this episode has no plot at all! It's just-!"
"Twilight!" Spike finally interrupted.
"Er, yes, Spike?" Twilight asked sheepishly, her cheeks turning slightly red.
"If you're going to criticize it like that, then just don't watch it," Spike chided, turning back to the screen to continue watching. "It's a slice of life anime; it's supposed to be like normal life!"
"Sorry about that, got a little carried away..." Twilight muttered. "Let's... just watch it."
"Thank you," Spike said, focusing back on the girly shojo characters.
And what's with this little bit at the end? Anime makes no sense at all!
Spike, oblivious to Twilight's harsh thoughts, just continued laughing at the many shojo-ish jokes.
