Act One: Chapter 3: "Dedicated"

"Blasted machine!" I hit the control panel hard leaving a dent in an important spot and managed to wreck the whole thing. That was it; I was stuck here until I could get the teleporter working again. I sat down and almost gave up, there was nothing I can or could do to repair the teleporter I couldn't continue my duty. As hours became days, days became months, months became years, years became decades, and centuries I could do nothing but sit and wait. But waiting for what? All that's around is my mind and me. I lost track of time since I've been doing the same thing time and time again. I can hear voices when I close my eyes, but when I open them nothing is there. I look around and still see nothing...am I losing my sanity?

I can hear the voices when I close my eyes again it’s been happening for a while now. I try to ignore them but I could still hear them. 'Failure' that's what the voices say, I think they're right though I have failed my mission and without me there the pit will be open for anyone to escape from help on the outside. All those that can and will escape if they haven't already... Rage was the only thing I felt knowing that all those that wish to oppose Mata Nui will strike again. With new found hope I drove my Rage and put it into fixing the teleporter, "I will see to it that they shall fail and bring them down by my hands."

It took me months to fix part of the teleporter; I made it so that once the teleporter activated there would be enough energy to transport me before it would collapse.

'hopefully this works' I thought to myself. "I swear, I Botar, will bring any threat that endangers Mata Nui will be their last." I activated the device and soon white engulfed me. This wasn't supposed to happen, Pain was all I felt throughout my body I roared in agony. this wasn't at all I was expecting to happen, I should have been back on my world. so much pain the whole place faded black.

"Ugh" I slurred trying to move but my body wasn't responding the pain was gone but I could still feel it. It happened so fast but it felt like an eternity when the pain hit me. However, the question was ‘did it work?’ My whole body was unresponsive so I couldn't open my eyes nor could I move, so the only thing I could do was listen to my surroundings. I could hear brushes of wind that hit the leaves in trees, some Rahi sounds. I managed to twitch my arm barely; I kept trying to get out of my current state before any Rahi start to take a bite out of me. My strength started returning and put it to use I opened my eyes and sat up.

I looked around; I was in a forest that much was certain. I stood up and took in the surroundings not much I could see considering all the branches and leaves in the way. I soon decided to move in one direction and see if I could find my way out. While walking I kept listening to the environment around me, making sure nothing was out of the ordinary.

It was in the afternoon, I traveled in maybe the last two hours that I heard a rustle from a few of the bushes. Normally I assume it would be a small rahi but considering I heard growling that came from it. The creature came out and what surprised me was that it was made of wood; five more came out forming a circle around me. I smirked and thought these things thought they could overwhelm me with numbers, don't they see clearly who has the advantage.

Well they thought they did, the one in front of me ran and jumped at me, while I used my right arm that had my blade and cut clean in half from its midsection. The others attacked me when I killed its comrade, one latched on my right arm trying to take a bite out of me, another was on my back and climbing the other two were going for my legs. These wooden wolves were very persistent; I grabbed the wolf with my left hand and managed to get it to remove its maw from my right arm. I swung the wolf down to the ground hard; the wolf shattered on impact, pieces of wood flew around. The one on my back was next, before it could bite me I grabbed its forearms. I lifted it over my head and held it in front of me, clearly, the wolf did try its best to get free but before it new it I pulled it apart on both ends and a wood like snap rang out, I dropped its body as it bled green substance. I grabbed the last two wolfs that were gnawing on my legs, with both in each hand with enough force I smashed them together and of course sticks and twigs fell to the floor.

"Too easy," I said before walking the same direction, but before I moved further, I looked down to see the wood moving by itself, I turned around to see the spot where I slaughtered the wooden wolves. The wood soon began to form a large wolf around the height of maybe my Chest plate. The wolf had a disadvantage though with the skills I earned in combat, but lets not judge a tablet by its cover. The beast roared and charged at me, I was rammed, but I held on and tried slowing the beast down. That left me vulnerable from the swipe it took at me, I winced when I backed off from it. I look at my side to see three claw marks, it wasn't deep enough for me to lose a lot of protodermis but it still will be a problem if I don't get healed on time. I looked back at the creature while taking out my Axe-sword from my back and charged it head on.

"For Mata Nui!"

"That was relatively quick," I snorted given how the fight ended. I remember throwing my Axe-sword at it and the damned beast had the gall to try and catch it like it was a disk. Instead of it catching it, My Axe-sword severed its whole head above the jaw. I went over the body and saw it leaking green fluid, I decided to burn the creature before it decides to back to life by grabbing a piece of stone and with the Axe-sword I got back I started to use both to create sparks and set the creature on fire.

I continued my walk further in the same direction until I spotted something in the distance, a mountain but it wasn't an ordinary mountain no it had what I think would be a structure hanging on the side. Whoever had the gall to put it up on a side of the mountain was an idiot who in their right mind step into a city that is basically on the side of the mountain? I didn't really care that's for sure, I would give the person respect for the plans on it. It was far maybe even half the day to get there. And so I went wincing at every step I take from my wounds.

"Well this is gonna take a while."

I've been getting closer to the structure now, I was following what looked like tracks that led strait up the mountain. It looks like I might as well follow it consider I can't climb with my wound, I just kept on walking further until I felt the ground beneath me rumble. I turn around to see a transportation unit that were on the tracks and headed towards my destination, it was moving at a reasonable pace that I decided to wait until the end of the transport and sat on it as it continued its trek further to the city. With me riding it would save me time by getting there, and possibly tend to my wound. As I was looking at my side I saw another village but it also had a crystal like building, the view changed when I was in a tunnel, a very dark tunnel. it was a good thing they made these tunnel wider considering my height the way I was sitting in a criss-cross position.

Two tunnels later... I seem to be here at my destination just a few more minutes and I'll arrive at the entrance. When I arrived I got off the cart and started walking towards the gates, but before I could walk further I heard screaming below me. I look down to see four legged organisms, clearly something was wrong I didn't think there were any fleshy creatures on the planet I was on. But then again I could be wrong, I look at the creatures while they ran towards my objective. As soon as I arrived at the front of the gates, someone closed them right as I was about to walk in. I frowned while I walked up to the gate and knocked on it.

"I wish something exciting would happen you know?" One of the guard ponies said to his fellow guard as both of them guarded the entrance of the gate.

"No I don't" the other guard replied to the recruit. "I don't think we need any more excitement considering these past few years, what with the changeling invasion, Discord's chaos, and of-course Tirek."

"Well didn't you hear, Discord was reformed?" the latter scoffed at that.

"Only a matter of time till-" He was interrupted by screams. He glared at the recruit "Here's your excitement."

"I was just saying-"

"Doesn't matter, something must be causing this, get everypony inside and then will close the gates until reinforcements arrive." He ordered, as they got civilians from the train station shouting 'Monster'.

As soon as the last of the travelers entered both the guards felt the ground beneath them shake like footsteps. Thud 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Thud 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, THUD. Both guards looked at the direction to see a 25-foot giant metal like monster, and it was walking towards Canterlot.

"Close the gate!" The guard ordered as both guards entered the gate. The doors soon closed with the beast outside, they thought maybe the metal being would leave, but unfortunately, it began to pound on the gate. The gate was knocked out of its hinges, as the it was hit a third time.

The door gave away as I knocked the Third time which wasn't expected. I was hoping there were more of my kind or any others that I've known from my past, but instead I get a whole group of fleshy quadruped creatures. Hopefully I can just speak to the higher ups if there is any of my kind here. Unfortunately a whole group of six armored quadrupeds pointing there weapons at me, I snorted at the thought.

"Do you believe that you could stop me?" Clearly they were surprised that I was able to communicate with them, but they merely shook it off and one of them walked forward and spoke.

"Freeze, in the name of Celestia you are under arrest, drop your weapons and surrender!" The one with the horn ordered. I narrowed my eyes at him, he who dared me to surrender. I am law and only take orders from Mata Nui will.

"The law is the will of Mata Nui." They were confused as to whom I was referring to, "Break that law and only the pit will welcome you," I surely did not have a pit here, at least…not yet. All six of them charged at me, since I did not have the time to fight these quadrupeds I used my right hand to swat away them with enough force to leave them winded.

'Time to meet this Celestia the quadruped mentioned.'
